Christina Ricci is so fucking funny imagine getting typecast as the sinister unnerving child so much you become the go to sinister unnerving adult actress
Have you noticed how much Goncharov fic is femslash? it's a lot. the whole phenomenon is wonderful, but this is probably the most fascinating thing about it (to me, at least)
I have noticed, and it is fascinating! To update some of my Goncharov stats from 3 days ago, now that the AO3 fandom presence has grown from 40 to over 500 fanworks (!!!):
With those smaller numbers a few days ago, I was really just goofing around (you can't conclude much about which ships are "winning" with only 40 fanworks, but I wanted to contribute some fun graphs to the Goncharov phenomenon anyway). Now that there are so many works, femslash is clearly leading the fic world, even though a lot of the meta and articles I see people sharing primarily mention the Andrey/Goncharov homoeroticism.
This is really interesting, and I wonder what all is driving it. Do the actors who play Andrey & Goncharov not speak as much to slash fans as the actors who play Katya & Sofia? is it the particular scenes that the women characters are in that speak to the fans the most? Was there some particularly inspirational early F/F fic or fanart that spurred more? Are "imaginary canons" (such a goofy genre name!) more likely to generate more femslash than other canons? And/or are there other reasons? Would love to hear theories.
Hell is exceptionally hotter than Earth’s average surface, our broiling mantel keeping souls churning through their cycle.
With that being said, the transition from Hell to Earth can be quite traumatic. As a natural defense, a Ghoul’s body will produce a thick layer of soot to aid in the temperature adjustment. This initial thick soot keeps the hellfire trapped in and slowly disperses it, easing a Ghoul into Earth’s comparably freezing temperatures.
Once their internal temperature has stabilized, this protective, clay-like Ghoul coating is safe to be removed.* Ghouls will continue to produce this natural soot, in the same way humans will produce oil and sweat. It’s used for heat retention in minor bouts.
They will bake themselves in the sun, which accelerates the production of soot. This dense, dark coating draws in more heat, and keeps it trapped inside substantially longer than a freshly cleaned Ghoul.
*This newborn soot retains its hellfire properties, and is commonly mixed into clergy paints, as additional scent-based protection.
When he shapeshifts and then shapeshifts back to his High Fae form, he always retains some of the features of his other forms (because beasty Tamlin is everything to me).
My brother and I were watching some s4 the other night and he mentioned missing Isaac, which got me thinking— If Isaac had been in s4, he would’ve been SO bitchy towards Liam. The banter would’ve been HILARIOUS he’d look at Liam all bound in duct tape and just stand there, unbothered like. “Okay. So what do we do with it.” IT !! In the fashion of a person who hates babies, and Liam is a newborn child PLEASE.
Stiles suggests chloroforming and drowning Liam in a lake and Isaac would be the only person who concedes. He’d VOLUNTEER and it’d be the singular time he aligns himself with Stiles. There’s Scott (lovingly) and Stiles (begrudgingly) coparenting this teeny kid, and then there’s just tallass Isaac Slayhey. Who walks up to the three of them mid conversation and doesn’t even acknowledge Liam as he uses his head as an armrest.
Both Marshall and Gary are extremely protective of Fionna, especially towards each other, they have to take shifts on who takes care of her or they’ll fight.
Fionna asks Marshall what he thinks about her name choices, he’ll give his honest opinion, but then ask “shouldn’t it be up to you? they’re yours.” Fionna pauses, looking down as she cradles her stomach. “Yeah, you’re right.”
Gary takes Fionna shopping for baby clothes, he keeps presenting all the pink options to her. Fionna eventually finds a onesie in black and becomes enamored, Gary is not amused “Ohh…😒”
Cake stays close to Fionna, always at her heels, meowing at the door when she’s at work.
