Why is the Sumeru Archon Quest so packed with permanent world-changing actions- don’t get me wrong, it’s really cool that they went though with this and you can actually see the consequences of the plot reflected in the world to that degree, and I‘d never ask them to soften it-

Random Etrian Odyssey post incoming- I‘m currently playing though Nexus again (…slowly)

This is what my team looked like fighting against the giant evil bird lady for like 6 turns before I finally managed to defeat her

And before that my whole team was exclusively my Sovereign spamming that passive healing order with those last tp and my Farmer desperately chucking items and revive skills at everyone since I got evil bird lady down to 1/16th of health - and they both died the very next turn after reviving Red, final sacrifice style. Who also happens to be of the Hero class, which - if that isn’t fitting for the imaginary narrative idk what is

TLDR passive healing my BELOVED and also go play Etrian Odyssey it’s a great way of getting inspo for epic battles, apparently

Died 7 turns in and I could never get him up again) #zodiacs (the magic attack class) are incredibly squishy oof #which is. *accurate* for this character. but still ouch #got him up once for exactly 1 turn at 1 hp to do 1 final round of lighting #when everyone first started dying #it did hit the afterimage tho. who then naturally proceeded to hit Red #also is it just me or does trickery just NOT work on this boss #you’d think almost fully upgraded it‘d make her miss at least some attacks but nope #anyways my team compo is horrible. I‘m aware. That’s the point #tbh this post is mostly for making notes cuz I can already feel my brain trying to get a drawing out of it #which is not that great cuz I still got other stuff to draw-

Trying on contact lenses to see what’s it’s like to see

How do y’all just live like this with 4k vision all the time? No option for 240p vision when looking gets too annoying, always forced to see everything in max definition, without any option for a low-battery mode, no way of looking at small lights and turning them into stars just by pulling them off, no screwing around with lense-stacking or switching glasses? No feeling of catharsis when you can take them off, knowing your work is done for today? Incomprehensible

What Was Your Favorite Malls Growing Up?

…you mean like, shopping mall…? Uhh. I mean. Only one I can think of because it’s the only one I really went to lol. It’s got a giant dome in the center where you eat under which looks pretty cool, and whenever there’s a holiday near they go all out on the decorations.

There’s a sea life and Lego center, and sometimes a Ferris wheel too, like rn! Sea life also had an amusement park attached to it that I still don’t know what’s going on with it. It keeps dying and coming back wrong, like an eldritch monster puppeteering the body it killed. Pretty sure if it were in the US its water slide would be a prime candidate for Defunctland lmao.

Until I was like…6? they also had a whole indoor park for parents to dump their kids in and I distinctly remember that it was themed after Pritt glue sticks for some reason? Ig it was sponsored?? Looks like it wasn’t a lucrative way of indoctrinating kids to buy their sticks though because it closed shorty after I went there lol.

Anyways idk if malls are even close enough here to have a favorite one? Aside from the one above, there’s only a single other one I could name rn that’s even remotely close. Shopping streets are more common, as far as I can tell. That’d be the one in my hometowns‘ old district. Less because of the shops and more just the vibes. Smth about casually sitting on the remaining wall of a medieval fortress just felt cool ig. Also the ice cream is <3 though I usually just ate mine while sitting on the shop window across the gelataio like a gremlin XD
