#I love this exchange so much specifically because it tells us a lot about how the translator microbes work. I mean. I highly doubt that – at #least at this point – john has ever discussed woodies with Aeryn. #But I can quite easily imagine that he’s at one point looked at some alien thing shuddered and gone ‘ugh. Gives me the willies.’ #And since aeryn’s translator microbes picked that up and returned it with woody we can kind of see how they work. #It’s taken willie – a colloquial term for penis – and substituted it with another colloquial term for penis – woody. #The problem is that these terms both have connotations that the microbes don’t pick up on #hence the incorrect substitution. #However they do seem to do okay with homophones #presumably based on context. #It’s like how back in like 2012 if you typed a word into google translate that didn’t translate well #it would give you it’s best guess #and then if you translated it back it would just have a completely different meaning. And not in a murder, manipulation yandere way.

I mean in a constantly screaming, foot in mouth, horribly passive aggressive, can't hide his emotions crying if a music shaker knocks over kinda way.

This man couldn't manipulate his way out of a paper bag.

His daycare only has ONE rule because he has no boundaries with anything and is just desperate for attention to be on him.

The Sun that screams at you.

The Sun who, is very forward in his actions about what he wants even if he doesn't explicitly explain himself. (Constantly grabbing Gregory if he moves one foot away from him cus he doesn't want him to find the security desk or turn the lights off or leave his sight)

The Sun that throws children out of the Daycare if they piss him off to literally die.

He has the mental stability of a fainting goat.

I do think these traits are just a result of being abandoned for so long....

But I just think that he's always had these issues. So even if the story takes place before or after the events of Security Breach, I do think he should still exhibit some of those behaviors. Even if to a lesser extent.

I think the idea steamed from, "oh he works with children so he's good at manipulating kids to do what he needs them to do" hahahaha... No he's not. He can't hold Gregory in place for five seconds before he gets ignored and Gregory goes awall. And the messages in the dufflebags claim kids are scared of Sun as well as Moon. It's both of them.

Everytime I see Sun act with some level of level of passive agressive master manipulation like he's Kira or something....

Cool characterization. Appreciate it. Like to see a new side of him cus there's not much to work from in the games.

There's something in this life left to live or, giving these two fools a soft moment because they deserve it. not gonna lie, I got a bit emotional when making this. I wrote something from Astarion's perspective to go along with it:

I like the idea of Monkey!Reader having been a monkey for quite a bit before the journey starts but have been separated from other monkeys for any number of reasons so when the journey starts and either they join or Wukong joins depending on timeline their instincts say they need monkey cuddling time because they’re so used to it by now but Y’know they don’t want to be WEIRD about it, they’ve now got to acclimate back to human standards and that’s difficult in of itself and they’re heavily delaying asking him because it would be weird right? They’re not even from the same troop of course it’d be weird, plus they’re also both demons so like it’s also not the same-

I feel like the rest of the fandom looks down on the people who enjoy Eclipse because they think us liking him is indicative of us as people. He's a fictional character. A fictional character shouldn't be seen as a reflection of the person who has them as their favorite character. I never see fans of other characters ever get told their choice of character is indicative of them as a person, so why do Eclipse fans get treated differently than everyone else?
