DID YOU KNOW that Sonetto's ult line [I know the moon, and this is an alien city] is from an actual poem called 'London Thoroughfare. 2 AM.' by Amy Lowell

The moon is talked about like a lover and it makes me think about Sonetto as the sun and Vertin as the moon. Like it's about finding comfort in the moon when your surroundings are harsh and unfamiliar, which just reminds me of Sonetto, finding comfort and admiration in Vertin even when there's the Storm happening around them. And with Sonettos other instances of queer coding I can't help but think this is intentional o_o

Throw Away Your Pen

Sonetto woke up to a beeping alarm clock, one that was quickly put on silent.

She yawned, getting up and rubbing her eyes.

No one else was in the dorms. Regulus, Yelena and Le must have left by now.

(Le's full name is quite long, so everyone calls the gentleman A.P.P. Le.)

She walked out of her dorms, and Vertin was there to greet her, looking as lovely as ever.

"Good morning, Vertin." Sonetto smiled, and Vertin returned it.

"Morning, Sonetto." Vertin walked with her. "Rough night?"

"Indeed. I need to finish my essay by Tuesday." Sonetto was feeling confident in it, however.

"Mm. You can do it, Sonetto." the two sat on the train as it started to take the journey to their favourite café. "How's about you, hm? Anything catch your eye?"

"Ah, nothing much. You know how terrible I am with technology."

"Is that so? You were getting the hang of it, last I came over."

"I... was?" Sonetto, for some reason, felt something was... off. Wrong.

"Ah, this is our stop. Come."

Sonetto went after Vertin, who walked with purpose towards the café. Around them, people smiled and laughed.

...It was too happy.

"...Vertin?" she called. Vertin stopped and looked at her. "Something seems... off."

"Off? How so?"

"Everyone is allowed to be happy, but... everyone seems too happy... you know?"

Vertin came over to Sonetto, with a strange expression. "Oh, Sonetto..." she sighed. "You always was one of the sharpest people I knew."

She was gone. Everything was paused, but now a brilliant white sheen appeared over things.

"Is this... real?"

"If you want it to be real, then it shall become reality."

Sonrtto turned, and Vertin was there. Gone was the black, and now dressed in pure white and only a hint of blue.

"No need to raise your pen, Sonetto. Please. Enjoy this reality."

"You did this?"

"Not for me. For everyone."

Vertin looked sad. "For you."
