I think at first ness is just very careful around cassie more than anything, and cassie doesn’t know her but appreciates xem looking after gregory. And since gregory trusts her xe can’t be that bad surely? But when they do warm up to each other they get along pretty good i think. Both love bright colors and cassie gets a new victim to paint the nails of. Ness makes a specifically roxy-designed cane for her :]

She’s not being directly controlled like how ness was, since cassie’s working with the mimic (who initially was angry and broke the elevator in a moment of rage, but then realized she might be useful/mimic is a bit more reluctant to kill kids without will telling it what to do, bc of it’s original code as a child’s companion(well my version of mimi)) and mimic of course has a very biased view of ness greg and fred… that is influencing cassie’s view of them. Long story short ness wants to HELP and cassie doesn’t WANT her help. Ness wants to get cassie away from mimic but cassie’s mad because mimic is like her! Because ness and greg left it to die even though they were friends right?

Rivals more in the sense that they bicker /a lot/ and Toei almost made them kiss twice which is the one good thing they've done

Sugasano Allen and Yatonokami Kanata (1):

Theyre red and blue coded. They're in rival hip hop groups. Their first meeting is Kanata barging in on Allen having a traumatic flashback moment (it's a mechanic of the universe, they use special devices to create cool illusions on stage but then afterwards have to relieve their worst traumas) anyways Kanata calls him an idiot for having a trap reaction in public (he is, he had time to go home but he got distracted composing a piece bc he got inspired by Kanata's group [gay]). Kanata steals his phatometal (the device used to create the illusions) bc it can be sold for a lot of money and he's broke, and also bc he doesn't think Allen is worthy of possessing it. They both go home, Allen and his roommates (also his hip hop group) flip out about him losing the phantometal, they find Kanata's address and chase him through the streets to get the phantometal back, eventually they catch him, Kanata is like 'well either way you don't deserve it bc you're just a prissy rich boy you don't understand what hip hop is about'. And Allen's like 'actually I do bc I've suffered too and also well show you what we can do next time and you'll be amazed' and then they leave and Kanata's brother (who has been there the entire time) goes 'good for you :)' and Kanata's like 'wtf are you talking about' and his brother goes 'you're smiling' also I'm p sure he refers to Allen as Kanata's rival in that moment but I'm not 100%. Anyways the charavters have twitters (like actual twitters) and Kanata blocked Allen twice.once was bc he posted about a song he was working on and Allen replied that he couldn't wait to hear it. Second was because Allen wished him and his brother a happy birthday. Thwyre so silly. Allen gushes about how cool Kanata js all the time
