Clearly Zombie Apocalypse AU ;D
Hah yesss!!! Okay, someone else asked about it too, so part 1 of this au is here!
Continuing on... (Gosh I'm so sorry for how long this is getting...sorryyyy ignore meeee! I'm just being weird!!!)
It takes them a few weeks into the whole apocalypse situation to find Willie. It's not for a lack of trying, Alex almost runs himself into the ghostly ground looking for him when he's not helping the Molinas. Turns out that Willie got stuck helping clear out the HGC when stuff first hit.
Caleb had been gone a lot before the zombies, and so he'd figured out a magical way to basically tie all of the ghosts he owned the souls of to the physical club location, on a very short leash. And well, rich people aren't really known for taking emergencies like spreading viruses or, say, a zombie apocalypse very seriously. Sooo what happens is that one zombie gets in, starts biting and infecting people, and suddenly you have a bunch of ghosts trapped with a ton of zombies in a fancy jazz club.
The ghosts can't get bit and infected, so eventually they manage to take them all out. And there end up being a handful of new ghosts from the people dying. But Caleb is still gone, so Willie and a few other ghosts figure out how to break into his office. They find all the contracts binding their souls and set em on fire. As soon as Willie knows that everyone at the club is going to be okay, he takes off to find Alex.
SOFT WILLEX REUNION!!!! He finds them in the middle of a supply run and Alex just freezes when he hears them call his name. Julie turns to ask him what's up and sees Willie too. And then Willex are hugging and Reggie is super excited and the adults are yelling at Julie that she can't just stand around, keep moving! Alex makes a joke about them being homophobic and Willie laughs and kisses him and it's just VERY CUTE AND SOFT OKAY?!
So then Willie joins the crew! Ray and Tia and Carlos are VERY confused as to who this fourth invisible person is that Julie is talking to all of a sudden. Julie's drawing skills come in handy, cause no one else has any idea what Willie looks like. Hey, they don't become visible when doing music with Julie, so...
Willie doodles around the edges of Julie's drawing of him to make it look like a wanted poster.
Willie is also really good with vehicles and tech. No one is really sure if that's cause of the ghost magic or if he's just really handy. Willie isn't sure either. But they become the mechanic of the gang!
SWITCHING GEARS, Flynn gets adopted into the crew almost immediately. Her parents were out of town on a business trip when everything started, so she's alone. The Molinas adopt her immediately. She pokes fun(and occasionally her sword) at the ghosts constantly. She takes to firearms rather quickly(which is only slightly terrifying...) and develops a taste for sniping.
And yes you read that right, Flynn also has a frigging sword. Her Mama was really into that kind of thing, so there was just... an actual sword, sharp and everything, on the wall of their house. Flynn isn't the best melee fighter, but that thing is NOT to be messed with. It's really pretty too, leather bound handle and the whole deal.
The only person other than Flynn that's allowed to touch it is Julie. Sometimes Julie will borrow it for a particularly large gang of zombies, since it tends to make faster work of the zombies than her usual arsenal. But it's special. Reggie keeps asking if it has a name. It does NOT, REGINALD! (It totally does in Flynn's head, but it's a nickname her Mama used as a kid, a bit personal to just share...)
Ray is still a pretty basic cook, but he's surprisingly good at the whole survival thing. Who knew he was paying so much attention when Carlos was in boy scouts? He learned a fair amount of first aid too when Rose was sick. (It was largely due to the reoccurring nightmare of his kids getting hurt too and being helpless, but he didn't tell them that.) So he remains the dad figure in the crew, even though most of them aren't his actual kids.
They do find out that ghosts can get hurt the hard way though. Not from zombies and bullets, but if they're focusing on being tangible to carry stuff or something, they can get hurt by natural causes. Mostly it's bruises and stuff, but Reggie falls onto a pile of scrap metal at one point.
Ray has to talk Alex through giving Reggie stitches, cause he can't touch or really see Reggie. The drummer has the steadiest hands of any of the people who can touch the ghosts. Luke is too fidgety, Willie gets really bad hand cramps when trying to do anything that delicate, and Julie almost throws up when she first sees the injury.
Alex is freaking out the entire time, but he makes it through. Reggie has to keep his eyes shut and hang on to Luke and Julie's hands. Though after it heals, he boasts all the time about the wicked scar.
Eep okay this is wayyyy too long and probably more than anyone wanted to read ever about this AU. So I'll shut up now! Thanks for humoring me and sending this in!!!
(Send me an AU and I'll give you 5+ headcanons about it!)

Chapter 13 Posted: 8/19/2022
Summary:
Phantoms, the new Network TV show, recently got picked up for its second season and filming is already underway. The show follows a special government unit tasked with dealing with the supernatural. The series will return Marci Harrison who portrays the lead detective in charge of a group of junior detectives (Reggie Peters, Alex Mercer, Kayla Caro), forensic scientists (Luke Patterson and Julie Molina), and a rookie detective (Flynn Rider).
Julie Molina is enjoying her time on Phantoms, the supernatural detective show. It had been her saving grace after being blacklisted from basically everywhere following her media feud with former Disney Channel costar Carrie Wilson that tanked her music career before it even started.
But with rumors that the show isn’t going to get a third season, Julie is worried about her career completely ending with no jobs or recording contracts in sight.
Add in the fact that even if they get a third season, Julie’s costar might leave the show and go off to pursue his music career.
And Julie is trying to understand why said costar potentially leaving is making her so upset.
Chapter 13 Summary: Julie and Luke have a movie night. Twitter interrupts that.

“You know Luke if you wanted to do movie night, you could have just asked?” Julie told Luke after he set his guitar down and grabbed the remote as the two sat on his couch.
“But if we label this as a songwriting session we can write it off on our taxes as a work expense,” Luke replied, clicking on some comedy on Netflix.
“You are so weird,” Julie rolled her eyes, which caused Luke to stick his tongue out at her.
It had been about a week since Julie had won TVLine Performer of the Week, and almost two since the season two finale. No one had really heard anything from the studio or any news outlets about the fate of the show. Most of the cast had just become numb to it all. It took a toll on all of them to stress about it all day and they were now to the point where they had almost forgotten about it, basically making it to the other side of the stress that they didn’t even think was possible. They felt like zombies, going through the motions of each day as the fate of their careers hung in the balance.
“Hey get off your phone,” Luke shoved Julie a few minutes into the movie. Julie didn’t budge though, the phone pressed up to her face, in complete shock. Luke, realizing that whatever was going on was serious, pulled out his phone which had been on silent.
Notifications flooded his screen, including a few voicemails from his management team. “Of fuck.”
“What does this mean?” Julie asked, the glow of her phone completely lighting up her face in the partially dark living room.
“I have no idea.”
Caleb Covington and Phantoms are trending on Twitter
TVDaily: Phantoms’ network has announced that it will not be renewing its contract with Caleb Covington, showrunner and executive producer. No news on what this means for the fate of the TV Show.
TVInsider: Caleb Covington's network contract was not renewed. Phantom’s was the EP and showrunner’s project. It’s all but confirmed that Phantom’s will not be renewed.
TVScoop: Phantoms all but confirmed to not be renewed by network, Caleb Covington fired from the show.
ShowBizNews: Caleb Covington and three other producers were let go from the network. No news about Phantoms. Most likely will be canceled.
Reggie to Spookyyyyyyyy
Reggie: ???????
Kayla: yeah what he said ^
Alex: Just got off the phone with my agent. They said that their contracts were with the studio, not the show
Bobby: I’ve been talking to a few people I know. They think it's true. If they are cutting their contracts, it’s not a good thing.
Julie: Phantoms was Caleb’s show. It was his baby. If they are cutting him they are most likely cutting the show.
Luke: I believe he had a three-show contract with the studio. One was Phantoms, one was his failed Reality Show about The Other Side of Hollywood and the other one was his one-season game show Got Nothing To Lose.
Willie: So if the show was canceled why wouldn’t it just be a nonrenewal? Because if the show was canceled then his contract would be completed?
Flynn: I’m on the phone with my dad right now. They don’t know if it was just not a renewal or if they ended his contract. The new stations aren’t consistent and there is no real confirmation. He is calling around to see who knows what.
Flynn: But Willie is right in the sense that if they canceled the show his contract would be done unless there was a clause about a certain amount of episodes etc which he might have not hit because of the failed pilot
Flynn: We don’t know anything because of course his contract wasn’t leaked. I’ll let you guys know once I know more.
Flynn: But to be honest guys, it doesn’t look good.
Reggie: Mrs. Harrison, do you have any idea? You would know out of all of us?
Kayla: Mrs. Harrison are you there??
Julie: Mrs. Harrison???

Going through my WIP's 3
My Willex fic that's like almost done but not until I figure out why im stuck! When flower meanings were my writing theme for a week. Slight inspiration from this post too!
It's just a flower. A single very pretty yet stupid flower. He probably doesn't even know what it means but still Willie's waited this long, too long possibly, so maybe… maybe it's true?
Alex is looking so beautiful with the sun gleaming down on him, his ridiculous sunglasses that Reggie got him, his pink shorts, and a stupid Hawaiian flower placed in his left ear.
It's been a week of paradise with everyone. Freshly graduated college students vacationing in Hawaii and enjoying their well deserved celebration for getting their degree. It's been sun and rain. Waves and sand. Beautiful waterfalls and tropical forests. Local digs and sightseeing to their heart's content.
It's been the small moments that are becoming more constant between Willie and Alex. Willie didn't really understand how much Alex's presence just settles him, not when he has his family and friends and skating or getting lost in his new hyperfixation of the week. Now away from all of that where none of them have to worry about school or work or anything aside from just letting themselves enjoy their hard earned vacation, it makes everything so simple and clear.
There was Reggie having a minor panic when he realized he couldn't take the stingrey he swam with home but then knowing the ocean was the animals home and the plushie Carrie found as a substitute would do.
Flynn had the same incident but with a parrot that stayed on her shoulder through their whole hike and nearly came back with them to the house they rented. This time it took both Julie and Carrie to out negotiate her with the promise of getting both a plushie and the possibility of looking into getting a bird back home.
Julie and Luke are still dipping their toes in their new relationship but everyone's honesty so glad they're finally together it's a mutual agreement to finally give them shit after vacation.
Surprisingly Alex has gone wild with freedom and dragged everyone to additional things from random stops to stuff he's researched and even a couple spots he was told about.
The other surprising thing is that apparently Willie can get jealous and it's over a flower and the new group of people they bumped into the last few days. More specifically a guy from that group.
The thing is aside from Willie who visits the islands often for extended family and with his uncle Caleb, and Carrie who's mother moved here after the divorce, no one else in their group knows much about the islands they've been visiting. This circles back to Willie's certain issue with the flower. He mentioned it was stupid right? Even though it makes Alex look really good.
"Just tell him."
Willie sinks deeper in his seat.
"Or better yet fix it without telling him the context."
Carrie nudges him.
"I swear to god we're not having a Juke part 2. Just go over there and take the flower since it's offending you so much. Bonus for getting Alex away from that guy who's getting a little to close for my liking."
Willie tears his eye away from the flower to focus on Alex at Carrie's words and then he's up in an instant.
Alex has that tight smile and this guy who's touching Alex's arm doesn't notice how Alex is slightly leaning away as his eyes scan around because whatever fun he was having before is gone.
Alex isn't a fan of people touching him and this guy is full on holding onto Alex's arm and rubbing his thumb like he thinks it's soothing but it's not and he's touching Alex. Apparently Willie is also a little possessive.
Their eyes meet and Alex seems to relax and full on smiles so Willie does what Carrie suggested and plucks the flower out of Alex's hair to place it on the other side, the action disengaging the guys hand from Alex.
"Ready to head out?"
The guy coughs and Willie turns his brightest smile at him.
"Oh sorry dude, didn't mean to interrupt."
If Willie's placing himself between Alex and whoever this is well actions speak louder than words and all.
"We just have a thing soon and a certain someone hates being late."
"Shit nearly forgot! Thanks Willie we'd have to wait til our next visit to use those vouchers."
Alex's arm settles on his shoulder which also settles the mess of emotions in him.
"Can't have that or I'd be a horrible boyfriend."
It. It just slipped out and oh god, oh no he-
"You found the place so I can hardly see how." Alex answers back.
The guy finally speaks up.
"Guess I won't keep you Alex, it was nice chatting with you." The guy takes a step back before eyeing the flower.
"You should probably remember that next time you go out." He nods to the flower and sighs. "Might give people the wrong idea and all."
Then he's gone. Finally.
"You alright?" Willie turns to face Alex whose arm is still around his shoulder which is always a yes but now they're closer and there's really not enough- his hands are holding onto Alex's waist when the fuck did he move them.
"Good now thanks. He kinda just- and I- but it… I might cool it on the 'outgoing' streak I've been on."
Fingers are tapping out the beat to Bright on Willie's shoulder.
"Hey of course, I've always got you."
Alex hums and making… really heavy eye contact, which again for Willie is also always a yes but-
"So that flower thing? Wanna tell me what he meant cause it was Carrie who gave it to me. Obviously I didn't know there was a meaning behind it but if I know then I can avoid whatever it means next time."
Willie glances back at Carrie who blows him a kiss. Of course. A small chuckle bursts from Willie as he cannot wait to dunk her in the closest pool.
"Oh, well It's not really a big thing and most people don't even put a lot of stock in it but for those that do it's like a sort of way to let others know if you're taken or not. If you put a flower on your left side then your single, right is taken."
Willie explains as he steps back and plucks the flower out of Alex's hair again, putting it back on his left side.
"So ya you learned something new about the islands! Again doesn't matter which side but some people do read into it like that guy did."
"Oh um Cool. Noted."
He gives Willie's shoulder a light squeeze before dropping his arm.
"So are we actually gonna be late, because I know we've got like another hour before lunch." Alex grins at him as they head back to Carrie.
Willie snorts at that.
"I mean you do get cranky if we're late for things but Reggie is on a whole other level when it comes to food."
"Sure and who again can't get up before 12pm unless we drag him out of bed?"
Willie clutches his chest in mock hurt.
"Betrayed!"
Willie doesn't bring up his slip up with calling himself Alex's boyfriend but if Alex doesn't either then it's fine.
-
It's not fine. Or is. Willie's gonna be honest he's really freaking conflicted. Like sure he can just ask Alex… but he feels like maybe he should know. Ok he knows he thinks he does but maybe it's wishful thinking.
"Willie I will throw you off this jet ski. Just ask!"
Flynn is much more patient than Carrie but even she has her limits.
"Actually if I do then Alex will come save you and then you'll have to talk to him."
Willie is not ready to talk about it. Sure he's easy going and doesn't put much thought into doing things besides if it hurts others or how hurt he could get but when it comes to Alex… he's probably one of the only few things he takes a moment to consider and think. Fuck he has it bad.
"I'm not ready to talk about that and it's only been a day alright." He adjusts his grip around Flynns waist to imply that if he's getting thrown off, she's coming with him. "We've still got a week here."
He does not appreciate her judgemental look.
"A lot can happen in just a day Skater boy. Carrie already told me about yesterday."
"That whole thing was a set-up so it doesn't count."
There's a smug glint in her eyes that means Willie is missing something.
"It does because Carrie didn't introduce the guy to Alex or have him chat our drummer boy up. The longer you play this out the more time you're wasting to actually be with him."
Just because Willie knows that doesn't me shit. Just because you know how to do a kickflip doesn't mean you'll actually do one every time.
He usually doesn't care about uncertainty or really doubt things but well Alex is different. He's one of the few things that make Willie feel calm that he actually likes. It's not a calm before a storm but a calm that settles you. He is not losing that just because they have a something that might happen.
Flynn must see his face and rolls her eyes.
"Fine be like that. Just know next time it might not be Carrie who does something."
Oh no Willie knows that voice.
"Flynn no, come on. I just- ok let me enjoy today please. Give me some time to be ready to chance this."
He knows Flynn gets it. That she's pretty much the little sister who just knows what he's really asking. If anything he's sure Julie would also be ganging up to make something happen. Thank god her and Luke are still being all but stitched together.
Thankfully Flynn drops it and then they're enjoying speeding around on their jet ski as they scream with glee.
After they all grab an early dinner and take the rest of the day to chill in the place they rented.
They all gather together into the living room, smooshed togehter on the couch and floor to watch Disney movies.
It doesn't hit Willie until he and Julie are the last to fall asleep.
He and Alex are full on tangled together like Julie and Luke. Alex is fully laying on his chest with his arms pretty much wrapped around him. He's holding Alex pretty securely too. It's peaceful.
He hears a snicker and sees Julie giving him a look.
It's like there's an actual edge Willie can feel himself starting to tilt over with all the things he's been doing his best to push to the back of his mind, moving him more and more towards that cliff.
It's the all too adorable sniffle and content sigh that Alex breaths into his neck, the way he just melts further into Willie that brings him back from that edge.
There's still until tomorrow, Willie said he needed time to decide and he's gotten it. With his mind set and Alex's warm weight like the perfect weighted blanket, Willie finally falls asleep.

They didn’t know who released them all, but it had to be someone with ties to the studio but not directly involved in the show.
Julie feared that it was in retaliation for what had happened the previous week, but everyone assured her that it couldn’t have been. Because it didn’t hurt her, it hurt the entire production team, the producers, the cast, and the studio. No one whose job was tied to the show could have done it, because it made them look so bad.
Not all bad press was good press.
No, this press put the show in a terrible light, and would severely hurt the chances of it being renewed.
Phantoms is trending on Twitter
TVWeekly: The sophomore show Phantoms is heading into the tail end of the season and the show has been riveting up for the finale despite a lack of renewal news. But, new documents have been released by an anonymous source including the contracts for all of the cast.
“I always secretly knew that Luke was making more money than me,” Julie told the females in their cast as they got their hair and makeup done in the trailer the morning after the news dropped. “Like, yes our roles are the same but Luke has so many more credits and experience than me it makes sense.”
“That’s understandable, but you could compare your career to Reggie and Alex’s, especially because you three were on children's networks and yet they are making significantly more than you an episode,” Flynn pointed out.
“They also have higher billing than me. Alex is third and Reggie is fourth and I’m seventh. They have bigger roles in the show,” Julie responded.
“That is highly debatable but what about the music contracts? You really think that Luke should be making significantly more money than you for the covers,” Kayla challenged.
What.
Julie didn’t know about that.
“Our music contracts were posted?” Julie asked, her voice starting to shake. She had only really glanced at it this morning. All the top tweets were the numbers of their contracts per episode, where she was in dead last by a lot. Her number was rivaling Bobby, who was only a guest star.
“Yeah Julie, someone must have finally read them because they are being blasted everywhere right now,” Flynn answered, handing her phone with a tweet pulled up to show Julie.
She saw the numbers.
“You have more experience than Luke in terms of legitimate music jobs. Sure, he did that movie this summer but it wasn’t released yet at the time. You had a successful Disney show where you sang at least two songs every episode and had legit albums that you were featured on,” Flynn continued.
Julie knew this.
She took a deep breath. “Yup.”
Deep breaths, deep breaths.
She was trying not to cry and ruin the makeup artist's work. This wasn’t Ashley’s fault, she didn’t deserve to have to redo her work.
“Shit Julie, we weren’t trying to upset you. We just wanted to make sure you were aware and how bullshit it was.”
“It is very much bullshit,” Mrs. Harrison finally spoke up. “And don’t let Julie’s case distract you from your guys.” She pointed at Kayla and Flynn. “Flynn, you are second billing and the lead of all the younger cast, yet, Luke is making more than you as well and Alex and Reggie are barely behind you. You know I love those boys and I don’t blame them, but Luke only has maybe one or two credits on you and you were in a giant superhero movie. That shouldn’t be happening. Kayla, you are only beating Julie yet you do the most stunt work on the show. Sure, you probably have the least amount of credits compared to everyone else, but you shouldn’t be that far off of Alex and Reggie. We could say one of those guys has a better agent than the rest of us, but I know their agents, it wasn’t that. This studio decided to low ball its female cast just because they could and they decided to absolutely fuck Julie over who they probably thought they could pull this shit on because of some fabricated stories.”
The three young ladies couldn’t say anything for a second, in total shock at Mrs. Harrison's outburst.
Flynn finally spoke. “What should we do?”
“I’m not completely sure yet,” Mrs. Harrison replied. “But don’t you guys think for one second that I’m not going to help you.”

Chapter 7 Summary: Luke's movie premiere happens
Collection: JATP Big Band 2022

Keep Reading for an excerpt
Episode seventeen fell around the same time as Luke’s premiere for the movie that he worked on last summer.
And Julie still did not have an invite.
She didn’t panic at first. Premiere invites came last minute all of the time and it’s not like anyone else had gotten theirs. Hell, the three younger ladies of the show had already gone dress shopping weeks ago as they all knew they were going.
Of course, Luke would invite all of his castmates and friends. He talked all the time about how excited he was to show them all the movie.
Julie glanced at the dress in her closet, a purple number. She got it specifically because it reminded her of a more grown-up version of the purple dress that her mom and she had picked out for the “prom” that Disney had put on the year that Rose had died and everything went to shit.
Julie never ended up wearing that dress or going to the dance. How could she with everything going on? One of those things would have kept her from going, but both. There was no way.
To make it worse, she never found a reason to wear the dress. It wasn’t like she gained a ton of weight, but her nineteen-year-old body wasn’t the same as her twenty-two-year-old body and it no longer fit right. Plus, the style was already a bit too young for her at the time, and it wasn’t like she was getting invited to any Disney Channel events in the near future to wear it too anyways.
This was all to say that she was very excited for this premiere and that was making her super anxious. She wasn’t allowed to have joy; something always had to come and ruin it.
She wished it was like elementary school where Luke would show up to set one day with paper invitations, maybe even homemade. Knowing him, there is no way that his would be homemade, his handwriting would be too bad. Everyone would show up at the wrong place at the wrong time on the wrong day.
No, instead, they had to go through their management teams. And it wasn’t even Luke personally inviting them, it was the film. Of course, it was all about appearances and connections, so the whole cast would of course be there. They would all do the same for Flynn’s movie in a few weeks.
“Alright, so should we pregame the premiere at my place?” Kayla suggested. “We can get all ready and then head out from there. Mrs. Harrison even said that she is in.”
“Shouldn’t we wait for the invite? We don’t even know what time it starts,” Julie frowned. “But yeah I’d be down.”
Flynn and Kayla both gave each other confused looks and turned back to Julie. “You didn’t get your invite yet?” Flynn asked.
Julie’s stomach dropped.
“No? Have you guys?”
“I got mine yesterday,” Flynn admitted.
“I just got mine this morning. It’s a phone call. You know, managers have to call managers and such. They probably just haven’t gotten to your name yet or your team is super busy and hasn’t been able to call you yet,” Kayla reassured her.
“Yeah, I mean it’s not like you wouldn’t be invited. You’d be invited over all of us anyways. I honestly thought your name would be at the top of the list but there probably isn’t any particular order. It’s at seven by the way, on Wednesday,” Flynn added.
“Fuck,” Julie threw her head back. “I can’t even make the pregame then. I’m shooting a scene, with Bobby of all people. I’ll have to get ready here and take off to the theater.”
“Ugh that sucks, maybe we could get ready here then?” Kayla tried.
“No, you guys get ready at your place. It would just be too difficult here unless we brought suitcases worth of stuff. I’ll have to get ready super quickly and won’t even be able to hang out anyways,” Julie gave them a small smile.
“That sucks. Although Julie, I just realized why you probably haven’t gotten your invite yet. Luke’s probably going to ask you to be his date. I think he gets one of those or something,” Flynn winked.
Julie rolled her eyes. “Luke would not ask me to be his date that would be ridiculous.”
“Not like that, although I wish,” Flynn teased. “Come on, you guys are always attached at the hip. Being his date wouldn’t mean like a date date, it would just be like you are accompanying him.”
Julie’s stomach dropped again. Maybe Luke would ask her to be his date.
Strictly as friends.
But she didn’t know how to feel about that.

Chapter 6 Posted: 8/12/2022

Once the cast came back from Wondercon, they were pushed right into filming episode fourteen out of twenty-two. They had to get a bit ahead, with episode ten being the midseason finale and only four weeks until eleven started airing.
The previous week, Willie had joined the cast, as a double agent, helping out the Phantoms team. There wasn’t a huge hint at the romance between Alex’s character, Allan, and Willie’s character, Warner, yet, but it was shown slightly in the end credit scene where Warner helped Allan with something and when they both left and went in different directions, they both looked down and gave a little smile.
And the teasing was relentless. They were nice to Alex, only doing it when Willie wasn’t there, but Alex was so smitten that they just had to give him a hard time. Especially Luke, who decided that Alex needed payback for all of the comments and teasing he had done to him about Julie. Alex couldn’t even be mad. Honestly, he respected that.
“What are those two doing?” Willie asked, taking his seat at the table for the table read, next to Bobby. There was an empty seat between Bobby and Julie, where Luke usually sat, and then Alex was sitting next to Julie.
“Flynn and Kayla are teaching Reggie and Luke a TikTok dance,” Julie explained, shaking her head at the whole scene taking place.
“Oh jeez, I might download the app just to see that,” Willie laughed, taking one more peek and then facing forward so that he was looking at his castmates.
“You don’t have TikTok?” Alex asked.
“Naw, I just don’t have time for it. I heard it sucks you in for hours.”
Alex nodded but didn’t say anything and instead, discreetly texted on his phone while Bobby said something to Willie.
Alex to Julie
Alex: He doesn’t have TikTok Julie! What would we even have to talk about!
Julie: Oh my God Alex, I’m sure you will still have plenty to talk about.
Alex: Like what?!?!?!?
Julie ignored his text and turned to actually talk to him in person. “I’m surprised you aren’t over there learning the dance?”
“I, of course, know it, Jules, how dare you even insinuate that I don’t,” Alex pretended to be offended and she rolled her eyes.
“Yeah Julie!” Bobby added in, and Julie did her best to not be annoyed. They weren’t friends like that, that joke didn’t work.
“I’m surprised you aren’t teaching them. I’m sure you would be a great teacher,” Willie smiled.
“Oh uh, yeah, uh, absolutely not,” Alex managed to stutter out. “I tried to teach those two a dance once and it was like trying to teach toddlers calculus.”
“I can see that,” Willie smiled again and Alex turned his face to cover how red he was getting.
Alex ended up being saved by the two inspiring dancers as Luke and Reggie came over to their seats at the table, with Kayla and Flynn staying back to talk to a crew member.
“Whose that?” Luke pointed at an older lady, probably in her late fifties or early sixties.
“She’s one of the guest stars for this episode. I think she is playing the villain,” Julie answered.
“Sweet! I’m going to go say hi,” Luke replied, bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“Alright, but maybe chill for a few seconds first, we don’t want you to scare her,” Julie placed her hand on his arm to help lower his energy. Instead of listening to her, Luke stuck his tongue out and then wandered over.
“I think he could power this whole set with his energy,” Willie pointed out, taking in the exaggerated hand movements Luke was making as he talked.
“I bet his mom had fun trying to put him to sleep as a child,” Bobby added. Both Julie and Alex froze for a moment at the mention of Emily but then moved on as if nothing happened.
“Alright, why don’t we get started,” Caleb called for everyone’s attention. Everyone who wasn’t already in their seats headed to their places. Once everyone was settled, they noticed an empty chair next to the older lady that Luke had just been talking to.
The placeholder only had the character's name, as some of the guest stars got casted very last minute, sometimes even hours before.
“I think our Nathaniel for the week is running just a little late. He just got the call a couple of hours ago,” Caleb explained. “Why don’t we just start now? His scenes aren’t even in the first ten minutes of the show anyways.”

Phantoms Announce New Guest Star For Season 2
Bobby Wilson, the nephew of Trevor Wilson, was announced as a guest star for season two of Phantoms. Wilson will be playing a cocky and arrogant detective, transferring from a different unit. Wilson will play opposite of Flynn Rider’s character starting a few episodes in. The show has not disclosed how long Wilson will be on the show, but that he could potentially return to season three if they get picked up.
Wilson has previously had many small guest star appearances on a few shows, including his cousin’s (Carrie Wilson) new Disney show, Wow! Wilson has also ventured into music a little, following in his uncle’s footsteps.
Although Wilson won’t appear for a few episodes, tune in Thursday to Phantoms season two premiere at 8 pm EST.
Bobby’s announcement and first scene couldn’t have come at a worse time. The whole cast and crew were already so stressed about the first episode coming out on top of all of the filming that they were doing. A new character and actor to work with was already adding to the increasing workload.
Oh, and the big elephant in the room that Bobby Wilson was the cousin of Carrie Wilson, who made Julie’s life a living hell.
And don’t think that social media hadn’t connected the dots on Bobby’s familial relationship with one of Julie’s previous costars.
Julie didn’t know much about Bobby prior to his first episode, but she had heard about him. She and Carrie were pretty close there for a while and she had met him in passing. She knew that he and Carrie weren’t super close and that Trevor was trying to push along his career.
Either way, this was the last thing she needed this week.
This lifetime actually.
And their first meeting in years was during their first scene together.
Which wasn’t the best scene to interact with each other during.
