I know I've been like dead for a while but I just saw your post on your 1 year of being a Stay being soon and realized our timelines of stanning Stray Kids happened around the same time! (I did a yt history investigation last month lol):

- [I had God's Menu, Back Door, and Awkward Silence on my kpop playlist since 2020 but didn't get into them back then since, except for Day6, I was predominantly into just girl groups]

- Jan 28-29, 2023: saw the blindfolded Back Door dance challenge, the part switch ver., and then the Dance Practice (Uniform ver.), which all got me interested in their performance AND chaos

- February: on and off seeing random dance practices and yt shorts (but in the midst of all the other yt content I consume)

- Feb 16, 2023: saw the Thunderous MV and that was it for me lmao

- by the end of March I had seen basically all their content (all their MVs in order, the MV behind/makind videos, MV reactions, dance practices/performance videos, relay dances, Kingdom + Kingdom Week, all their vlogs, SKZ-TALKER, SKZ-RECORD, SKZ CODE, 2 Kids Room and all the variations of that, variety show appearances, interviews, videos of them/about them on ReacttotheK, Studio Choom, and THE FIRST TAKE, fan compilations and edits)

- and I almost bought tickets and called out of work for 3 days to drive all the way to Georgia to see them on the Maniac Tour for Thursday March 23 but decided against it since I had been out sick from work for like 4 days the previous week (I was fully recovered by then, my principal would've just been mad lol

- June 5, 2023: my first Stray Kids (and kpop in general!) album was 5-Star (ordered limited ver + randomly got A, then bought B and C in person from Target the same day). I used to never buy ANY physical albums (even of Twice, whom I love and cherish since Dec 2018) but this broke the floodgates and now I buy albums of all the groups I stan and it's a real problem

- And just so you know, YOU 🫵🏼 are the first Stayblr blog I directly interacted with, since I never sent asks to anyone before April 2023 🫶🏼

skz was my first kpop album too but it was maxident. when i used to listen to got7 i used to digitally buy the songs but i never bought a physical album before.

As for yamato and freminet, as i said yamato is the ultimate inventor so he's good with machine and all that...and i just think with his personality he would dote on freminet a lot!! Yamato is very social so i can just imagine him being very happy to find someone with a similar interest and all. He can be a Lot so freminet would probably get overwhelmed by his energy at first but yamato would be understanding and encouraging and i think after a bit more of time they could get along very well...building robots together and stuff...maybe yamato could teach freminet to create some stuff, idk i just think they would be very wholesome! Something something yamato being very encouraging to freminet and freminet looking up a lot to yamato, but also something something yamato can sometimes be overboard with inventing stuff to the point of neglecting his own safety/health so i can imagine freminet trying to pay attention to that and remind yamato to take care of himself.....

i would agree with the anemo vision tbh!! i at first felt cyro or geo (geo bc of his oukawa duties and how he tends to be very.. loyal to things??)

but like, anemo defo fits A LOT better, most anemo characters seemed to have had a burden before that they need 'freedom' from i do believe the anemo vision focuses on that mostly

so like... freedom from past holds on them, heizou with his family+friend trauma, scara with abandonment trauma, kazuha with family guilt and dead... friend... again..? oh oh sucrose also with her lost childhood friends, she misses them and her promise to them, she thinks making her own wonderland with alchemy would finally free her from that longing of wanting to reunite with them...

you seem not really active as of late?

i think i responded to this with long message and it didn’t saved into my queue.... sigh. ok, i’ll hope i’ll write this as i did the last time, because i thought i worded it perfectly and i don’t think i have energy to put it as same this time.

shortly: not only i have other blogs, but i do actually have life and other interests and games, and gifmakeing can be time consuming, that’s just how things are

an actual answer:

the thing is, while the notes don’t really matter for me and the feedback in the messages/tags/notes is always a much bigger motivation and joy for me, recent tumblr updates and decisions killed all the fun (during the proccess of gifmaking) and creativity in me, like usually whenever my post gets around +- 500 i start working on another edit/gifset, but before it usually happened like in a few days or else or like a whole day!! right now it takes about 2-3 weeks for it to gain so even if it gains this number at all

and i KNOW that bayo have always been a small fandom, but it’s not the point here

and this is without talking about reblogs/likes ratio:

(keep in mind that some of these examples are before updates, but you can still see the decrease)

so not only numbers are less, but also the important part - reblogs are less.

like... cause of tumblr i can’t even feeling on experementing with coloring and all that since this site kills all quality anyway and with recent update it happens on blog page too, just the fact that i’m the only one who can see the result of work is shitty and i feel bad about it.

and i hate putting it like this, because i sound like numbers are all what’s important... they really not, but man... i want to have time.

if you unhappy with my scheldue/graphic and my personal issues, i can give you a pro-tip: i have ko-fi, again it’s completely uncessary and optional, but if you feel like i’m lacking posts or anything, it’s always appreciated. you can also put a request or your idea or anything you like!! Luckily I think I have a knack for languages but only for different aspects of each one? lol. Like, I grew up watching/listening to a lot of Japanese stuff (anime, dramas, music) so I have decent listening/hearing comprehension for it--enough that I was able to communicate with Japanese exchange students in college (I'd answer them in English, which they also had a working understanding of, or in my simple baby Japanese lol). But I cannot for the life of me understand kanji so I'm always going to be Japanese illiterate 🥲 (My brother is also learning Japanese so my catchphrase for whenever he shows me anything is "I can't read this!" lol)

I picked up Hangul real quick and I get the grammar structure now, but my Korean vocab is so all over the place that I can read/write but not know what anything means lmao. I'm hoping I'll absorb it naturally by watching and listening to more Korean media but the school year is so busy. I'm hoping I'm not too mentally dead by the end of June so I can activate all my brain cells this summer vacation to hopefully get fluent 🤓

At least my pronunciation for both languages is decent so I can sing in them now 👍 Let's both aim for "being able to watch shows in the background" proficiency 🤝 because tbh that's what I'll be using any language for the most...

I love learning languages, which is probably why I picked up linguistics quickly despite never taking a class before grad school. My brother (who is 18 years older than me and literally a genius) accidently picked up Japanese. Like he literally was buying manga to look at the art mostly because he's an artist and went "oh, I can actually read this" and got his hands on more Japanese media. So when I came around he literally raised me on jdramas and read me manga to bed and play me jpop consistently. He's genuinely upset that I'm not fluent like him by now, but I'm also stupid. But at the same time, I also grew up speaking English, French, and Haitian creole (literally the only one of my sibs to pick up the last two, perks of being the youngest). So I think a 4th language would have been too much for my little brain. But I literally retained none of the Spanish I learned in school despite learning it for 13 years and picked up French in 2 (had to do 2 years for college). And I keep picking up French books and reading French posts and being like "oh, I can actually read this" (like brother like sister I guess).

I think I know more Japanese than I actually do because I can watch subbed shows relatively quickly and I've caught myself looking away from the screen while drawing or something and forgetting to look up again and still being able to follow. But ask me to read something and I'm lost. I'm literally learning to read bc one of my fav video game series published a side story book and it's only in Japanese and my brother says I'm too old for him to read for me 😭 (asshole) and nobody has translated the book yet despite there being an English following of the game. But pronunciation wise I'm okayish with japanese since my brother made sure to drill me on how to read when how things are written out in romaji. Compared to watching anything in Korean, I still have to pause for subs sometimes, but that might just be because of how some of them are timed. I'm an auditory learner/person so I think I'm better learning that way. I bought some workbooks for both Japanese (elementary so it should be kanji and hiragana, maybe katakana I think) and Hangul and they both come with audio components so I should be set. Literally, the way I would study for English vocab test back in middle school and high school would be me listening to my friends study together and I would pass every time. So I think if I consume enough Korean and Japanese media I should be able to pick those up too.

I am so sorry for rambling but you hit one of my favorite topics/ special interest and I couldn't help myself 😅 But yes, let's both aim for "being able to watch shows in the background" proficiency!
