All my young life my mom had a special doll a friend gave to her. She called it her sah wah dee khaa...and every day she would wake up greeting it “sah wah dee khaa...”! I of course thought she was crazy and went about my day trying to forget my mom loved a doll and greeted it daily. She told me she thought it was Japanese. Today I was in a shop and I was looking at this doll thinking how familiar it was and the owner said to me”sah wah dee khaa...” her name is sawasdee the welcome goddess. Maybe ego is a nature trait? 🤷🏼‍♀️ @brenebrown maybe this should be your next research study. 😂 2️⃣ I never let anyone call me Kimmy growing up because who wanted to the same name as Kimmy Gibbler from Full House?! Then my nephew came along, and I had to succumb to it. 🤦🏼‍♀️ 3️⃣ My family has a weird thing with 13. My only sibling (my brother) and I are 13 years apart; I am 13 years apart from my oldest nephew; my oldest nephew and youngest niece are 13 years apart. Thank goodness my brother only has 4 kids! 4️⃣ I can hear my mother’s voice saying whenever I put on a lightly lined or unlined dress or skirt: “Classy women wear slips so people can’t see through their dress.” So I end up putting on Spanx shorts or a slip. 5️⃣ I have a degree in broadcast journalism, and my dream growing up was to replace Barbara Walters on her special to have real talks with people.
