#FINALLY SOME GOOD FUCKING CINEMA #I LOVED IT SO MUCH HELLO???#and i wasn't even expecting anything from this movie i've only heard that it's good from my friend and that the doggo Acts in this one #and the trailer got me intrigued #and it was The Best decision to go see it in cinema #i was SO engrossed #and i'm Amazed at how GOOD this kid's AND the dog's acting is?!?!! are you kidding me ?!?!#they both deserve an oscar i'm so serious #i've never seen an animal Act like this #and i'm so impressed with the kid #also? are french courts and trials actually like this? bc if yes then it's fucked up #the prosecutor was PISSING ME OFF #and usually i don't like trial scenes in movies but here? they were pissing me off so much (good) that i was even more engrossed lol #oh and the fight scene was so good. delicious even. haven't seen such a good fight scene in a long time #and also😶 im not immune to swann arlaud aldhxajjchcjss #if you know any good films with him let me know bc i need to see more of this man #to sum up: some good fucking cinema highly recommend watching it #but also if you think it's a typical crime/mystery film it's not imo #i also just love how they've done it bc it's 2.5 hours long but i haven't felt it at all #so yeah. here's my anatomy of a fall reaction noone asked for lol #agnes talking

Ahhh. I’m hearing old industry friend talking about how the reason there’s no projected X-Men MCU projects before 2025, even though they’ve started going ahead with using the term mutant in universe, is NOT because they can’t use the characters yet per the old Fox contracts OR because they’d have to reuse the same actors per the actors still being attached thanks to the old Fox projects....

Rather, its because the PRODUCERS of the Fox X-Men films are still attached until 2025, and any MCU projects that use material already established in the Fox movies would mean Kinberg, Singer, etc, would be guaranteed a seat at the producer table and that specifically is what MCU producers are trying to avoid.

Interesting.

#Im curious to see how this plays out in a variety of respects #for instance they've really been hyping up the whole Spider-man and his amazing friends concept in the comics lately #aka building on the nostalgia of the old cartoon about Peter and his BFFs Iceman and Firestar #and there were a LOT of rumors awhile back that the next (or at least a proposed future) Spider-Man movie about Peter in college #wanted to introduce Firestar and Bobby #(although that was intertwined with rumors they wanted to introduce Bobby and Johnny Storm as Peter's new BFFs #which has credence given that i can see the MCU trying to go that route and there's the fact that originally the Spiderman #and his Amazing Friends cartoon only created and used Firestar INSTEAD of Johnny because of Johnny's cartoon rights being tied #up elsewhere at the time)#but regardless I am interested to see if that pans out still (before 2025) and how they might go about it #because there's no problem using Firestar in a future Spider-Man movie since her character has no prior connection #to the Fox movies nor is it reliant on material specifically introduced in those films #but Bobby would be more of an issue. HOWEVER. I could see them trying the angle that going with a take on Bobby Drake #that's rooted in his post coming out narratives - openly gay etc #would count as a substantial differentiation from the Fox film version of Bobby and thus be grounds for introducing #his character prior to 2025 WITHOUT having to loop in any of the Fox producers because they'd be utterly #irrelevant to this take on the character #now I'm jaded about the MCU in general but tbh one of my go-to thoughts since they got the X-Men rights back were #*rolls eyes at Disney* 'wonder how likely it is that Bobby - who's been in virtually every major X-Men adaptation EVER when he was written #as straight - just so happens to end up one of the major X-characters coincidentally NOT to make it into the MCU in the first several #waves of X-Men making their MCU debuts'#so......given that he IS one of the biggest and most iconic X-Men characters who COULD feasibly be introduced to the MCU pre-2025 #going by this chatter as to why the hold-up with major X-characters still.....BUT that introducing him and using #him to help build up a foundation of mutants in the MCU would RELY on infamously homophobic Disney to greenlight #a clear and distinctive emphasis on an unambiguously gay Bobby Drake......hmmm #kinda curious to see how this all plays out on just a meta or behind the scenes level

god currently my aunts aren't talking to me (the police lied to one of them about what happened when I got arrested, I don't know what they said but I can only assume they painted me as much more malicious than a broke kid who was threatened and followed by two random people. I'm pretty sure that aunt told the other the cops' version of what happened) which means currently my only real support systems are my emotionally abusive mother who lives 2 hours away (and my pretty cool step father but they're kind of a package deal) and my close friend who's in a very similar financial situation to me and also lives 2 hours away so that's been fun!

speaking of speaking of Abuse it's like hey it's helpful to remember to not think of it like "whoa. an extreme word broken out to make people feel bad" but rather "an identification of a type of situation where an oppressive system is being continually established / maintained and something needs to be done differently to counteract / dismantle this" Just Like With approaches to other labels created for describing the external manifestations of [there is an oppressive system here] and going "someone is saying so b/c in identifying it it's also recognizing the crucial 'so something Else external needs to manifest to improve this reality' of it all, not just like 'whoa that's a big word for extreme things that we'd all definitely recognize & all definitely even be motivated to acknowledge in the first place rather than being potentially vested in it continuing without it even being a challenge to put any description of it into words to start to communicate about it'"....just like how we all totally know that [autistic people existing] is so Extreme and must be so Abnormal and we'd all Know It when we saw it, and when someone goes "i'm autistic" what matters is that people feel weird and then it's threatened that they might be obligated to do anything differently, so that person's probably exaggerating and trying to disrupt the norm, which is as good as trying to Elevate themself. kind of like when people break out the "abuse" A-word, right....always more important that no one could potentially feel bad via someone directing [and that's bad] language at them rather than asking "but like, Are they doing this thing? One thing I haven't seen a lot of talk about in the fandom so far is about the financials of this season.

It took us two whole months to get a confirmation of renewal from Max, and I talked at the time that I think there was probably a lot of heated negotiations going on at the time with contracts and that's why it took as long as it did.

I think we see a huge number of indications of the compromises that were made in order for S2 to be made. One obvious one that has been talked about is being making in in NZ instead of LA, to save $.

But there's also the eight episodes instead of ten. And then the cast aspect. One downside of moving overseas was having to fly out and house the cast, not just pay day wages.

We knew immediately about Guz Khan not coming back, losing Ivan as a character. At the time I was sad but I thought it had the air of a pretty harshly practical call. If you went through the main recurring cast and said okay which character will affect the fewest things, has the least character interactions of anyone? It would be Ivan. (With the only competition being The Swede IMO, but he's Stede's crew and therefore a little more central.)

And then this season started and we got first The Swede sidelined and taken out of major scenes. And then I noticed that different members of the crew were simply absent for long stretches, like Wee John isn't around for ep 5 at all. And then Buttons takes flight.

Lucius and Pete aren't at the party for most of it. Fang isn't in the torture scene. Roach and Fang aren't in the bar. Etc. SCHEDULING IS HAPPENING.

The new characters are almost entirely played by NZ local actors, which is great, but also...cheaper.

In other words there are big signs that they did everything possible to give us a giant cast of almost everyone we love from S1, and cool new characters, in the most economical way possible.

And I'm grateful for it. I'm grateful we got S2, and it looks great, and it's well written, I'm having a blast, and we get to spend more time with this awesome cast.

But I also kinda think it needs to be said that the cost-cutting shows. That it shouldn't have been only 8 episodes, the pacing is off. That we miss every time someone from the ensemble isn't on screen.

That despite what they've put on screen looking very good, there's far less costuming budget, there's less elaborate sets, and it's a little disappointing. And it's clear it's not a lack of will or talent or vision but blatantly lack of money.

Look, streaming networks want brilliant shows that people love (that will get them to subscribe) but they very don't want to pay anyone to make them. That's like, the whole moment we're having right now.

Max puts out promos about how great it is to not have unions messing shit up in NZ. Well I have friends who are union costumers in LA and guess what union costumers did amazing last season. This season, well, I guess Stede got three whole shirts, so that's cool.

So I dunno. It's just stuff I think about. I'm not trying to be negative about the show in any way. I'm extremely happy with this season; I love it more than well, possibly any show I've ever been in fandom for.

But I see you, Max. You're cheap. You weren't that cheap when you were called HBO.

PART TWO | NAVIGATION

Life was good in heaven. Having been brought to existence by our creator, we were given a chance at life. The world is still currently in progress, slowly changing to adapt to newer life forms.

We angels were tasked to help this new world grow into such an amazing world. Speaking of worlds, I am very much grateful to be alive as I am given a chance to love. As one of the first few angels created, I was able to befriend Lucifer. God's most beautiful angel and whom I have the honor of calling mine.

Lucifer was such an awkward romantic lover, showing off his affections in his ways. Giving flowers, a pretty stone he managed to pass by while flying around, or perhaps by giving her kisses.

They've been married for some time now, being together for a few decades and recently got married. The wedding was amazing, friends and their creator attended the celebration. It was a very beautiful celebration, the wedding night was awkward yet romantic, two innocent angels experimenting, learning about the art of making love. It was wonderful. Despite being inexperienced, both had a great time being each other's firsts.

Life was truly good, until God announced that he made new creatures, mortals or humans as he calls them.

They looked like angels but without wings. They will be the very foundation of humankind.

Slowly and surely, Lucifer began to act weird. Ever since he visited the garden of Eden, he's been purposely avoiding [y/n]. Making up excuses to not spend time with her.

Rumors started to spread that Lucifer has begun to form ideas that threaten the order of heaven, [y/n] tries to stop him but Lucifer is stubborn. He believes that mankind needed this.

[Y/n] was heartbroken, why is the love of her life acting like this? Why doesn't he look at her with love and passion in his eyes like he usually does.

Why does it look like he doesn't love her anymore?

Deciding to spy on him, she followed him to the garden of Eden. There he saw her husband looking at the mortal woman, named Lilith with so much love and adoration in his eyes.

[Y/n] felt her heart and entire world shatter. Broken hearted, she quickly fled the garden. Returning back home and sobbed into her friend's slap.

She cried the whole night, Lucifer didn't even notice she wasn't home.

Not long after, Lucifer was cast out of heaven along with Lilith. [Y/n] was heartbroken beyond her understanding. She couldn't understand, her emotions all over the place. Her husband doomed humanity and was cast out of heaven with another woman.

[Y/n] didn't even get to tell him she was pregnant with his child.

Max has a track record of partying hard. It's who he is, and she lives him for it. There isn't any kind of gripe of hang-up, just Max having fun and doing dumb shit that makes her laugh.

Lando is throwing a - well - a party. There was an excuse for it in the invitation, but she's too buzzed to remember it.

The echoing sound of Max's laughter ricochets off the walls. Daniel is with him, probably getting them into more trouble, but she knows Daniel will look after him. At least until he's trashed and can't get off the floor.

Alex brings her another shot glass. She has no idea what's in it, but Alex is letting loose, and she'll be damned if she doesn't partake.

He raises the shot glass in a toast. "To whatever this party is!" He cheers. They clink their glasses together and down the shots. She gags at whatever was in it.

"The fuck was that, Alex?!" She sputters.

He gives her a blank look. Really thinking hard about what he gave her. "I've got no idea."

The hours seem to tick by. The people are slowly dissipating, leaving the safety of this weird little bubble they've created.

She's lightly buzzed still, having danced off the majority of the shots Alex had her doing. The couch is her new best friend, and Lando had brought her a blanket at some point in the last twenty minutes.

A weight on the other end of the sofa catches her attention. Max, with complete adoration in his blue eyes, is staring at her. "Wow," he slurs. "You are the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen."

She laughs at his drunken thoughts. "You're not too bad looking yourself, babe."

The smile on his face is almost childish. It's big enough to almost fall off. His cheeks tinged a darker red with the blush adding to the alcohol flush.

"Go on a date with me? Please?" He tries to pout, but it ends up looking awkward mixed with the grin.

She flashes the ring at him. "Sorry, I'm spoken for." Alex and Lando are giggling from where they are watching this interaction unfold.

Max looks like a wounded puppy. Eye's glossing over like her might cry. "He must be such a lucky guy. You're just so perfect!"

"Awe, love, you wanna know a secret?" She leans in to whisper into Max's ear. "You married me."

If Max could hand you the world on a silver platter, he might have tried in this moment. The Dutch is vibrating in pure, unadulterated joy. Like a child who just got the ice-cream they were so desperately craving.

"Holy shit! I'm the lucky guy!"

Max smothers himself against your body. Eventually falling asleep, mumbling about how she's so amazing, and how he loves her so much. It's endearing to here his drunk affections laid bare for everyone to see.

It's the lullaby that calms her to a restful state. Fingers tangling with the softness of his hair. "You're not the only one who's lucky. I guess I'm pretty lucky, too."

just thinking about lightweight gojo...

going out with him and his friends for a night out, and he insists on not drinking at all because he knows he's going to embarrass himself in front of you, he knows he's going to do something he'll probably regret.

he spends the night trying to get geto and shoko off his ass about having a drink or doing some shots with them. but then you look at him and ask him if he wants to do shots with you (or, i just got the amazing idea, reading this over: bodyshots). he knows he should say no, knows that he'd be a whole hypocrite to say yes after telling everyone else no and scolding them for getting drunk.

but you smile at him, cheeks flushed and he groans at the inevitable decision in front of him. he can feel shoko and geto laughing behind his back. he only hesitates for a second, glancing back at them, ashamed of himself before agreeing.

and as the night goes on it becomes apparent that he is a lightweight, probably giggly, probably clingy and most definitely horny. it's like a switch-but not really. he has little filter to begin with but as soon as the slightest bit of alcohol is in his system that is out the window.

he can't keep his hands off of you it's like you're a magnet, drawing him in as his fingers sneak over your body, grabbing your hands and your hips and your face. flitting over your body like a man starved. he paws, and he gropes, pleading and begging you for nothing in particular it just feels right. he's needy in every way, no shame when he drunkenly growls like a protective dog at whoever gets close too you.

he can't stop staring at you either. his eyes all the bluer (his glasses long gone despite how overwhelmed it makes him with everything going on he needs to take in every bit of you). he looks at you as you're a god. as if he's not the strongest, basically a living god himself. he's willing (and probably does) fall to his knees sometime during the night, hugging your legs and begging for a chance, preening when you coo at him (just as drunk) and pet his hair.

his lips, despite how they've never really been able to hold back his thoughts say every depraved desire that comes to mind. every ounce of worship in his body plus a little more is spilled for you, if you weren't aware of his feelings before you'll definitely know them now (if you remember anything in the morning). several times he asks you if you could just 'take care of him' in the bathroom, paired with a needy whine while he presses your hand against the problem between his legs.

and in the morning he'll groan from a hangover and be ashamed of himself as he watches all of the videos his friends took of him in compromising positions, saying things he should definitely not have been saying. his group chat is going insane with every tease in the book, calling him all kinds of whipped for you that he'd get wasted just because you asked him to.

he'll turn red in embarrassment before turning around to curl into your bare chest.

"they're making fun of me~"

you only sigh and pull him closer, pulling the blankets over your head to shield your eyes from the pounding light.

"and you deserve it you simp."

god dean's reaction to meeting gay people will never fail to amaze me. he's so surprised but also genuinely curious and you just get the feeling that he hasn't had the chance to be around queer people much in his life which makes me so sad but also so happy for future dean who will surround himself with queer friends and family.

i just watched 5x09 the real ghostbusters and the scenes with dean at the end just really got to me. like here he is when he finds out the guys they've been working with are a couple:

and then the next time we see him in this episode he's leaning against the impala with the absolute cutest smile. like.... seeing someone, dressed as him, be openly gay made him smile like this!

and finally sam shows up and asks if he's okay and there isn't really a whole lot to explain his answer except that he just found out that the guys who helped them on the hunt, guys who idolize the characters sam and dean, are gay and in love.
