False Corpse and Supposed Defilings of a Collegue and Child
So, we all love misunderstandings and miscommunication. Obviously. So, Danny's ghost form is very much frozen at 14, and he is working with the Justice League on the basis of Ghostly MattersTM. He was able to make a duplicate of himself for class because he had to help the League with a very important matter with guidance from Vlad, but it was very much rushed and just outright died at the end after it got back.
So Vlad has to bury it, but someone sees him doing that. Anyone, really. Dash, Lancer, Val, someone not in the know. And Danny isn't seen for a while. The League do not think Danny is an immortal God, and "know" he's a dead trans boy from Illinois who wants to save people.
He makes offhand remarks about Vlad, and even if the two of them are on good terms now Vlad's actions seem outright despicable without context. Danny's used to Vlad's ridiculousness so he doesn't see him in that light and can't really conceptualize that it could even be considered.
"You know how it was, obsessed with me and my mom, despised my dad. Said I took after her."
"Oh you know, he made a daughter with me, not that I had a choice in it. I love her with all my heart, though."
"Yeah, he was a real fruitloop. Ranting about I would be his and all that."
This is very much concerning so the League, so they investigate, and the person who saw lets it slip. They also do spot Ellie, and she just chats with Danny's work friends she heard so much about. Doesn't outright say she talks with Danny still, or she knows him presently. Says how much she loves her papa, and hasn't seen her dad in forever. (A collective wince from the JL since, well, said dad is dead.) Mentions how Vlad's a bit stressed, probably from DalvCO contracts. They also see Vlad acting so goody goody with the Fentons, take that as you will.

i think love is like catching fireflies. you have to get out there and wander in the dark until find what you were looking for. you have to be gentle with it. if you try to keep it bottled up or force it to stay in your hands, it dies or flees in fear. but you can guide it and hold it close without hurting it. it might not always be there but it does always come back. and it glows

( ok yeah Kamui is an awful person blah blah. But like I said he would be a good father, and given how upset he was over his own father leaving home SO often for long periods of time, Kamui will make sure he's around as much as possible.
like I said, malewife. he absolutely will stay home with the kid while his partner works he's fine with that. he wants to be present for everything. he wants to give his kid a present father, like Umibozu is great sure but he put so much responsibility on Kamui at a young age because he left so often. Cmon, leaving a literal kid to take care of his baby sister and sick, dying mother..... Along with the fact that Kamui is stressing over his mother's condition, feeling useless.
Not to mention, Kamui thought it was HIS fault father his dad kept leaving. I'm just.... 馃拃 No wonder he left home and became a villain
But anyway, Kamui will make sure his own kid never feels the way he did. If a relationship got as far as having a kid with him, he's probably already settled down and stopped traveling anyway, so.... He won't leave unless it's to do dad stuff 鈽猴笍 )

"It's a double-feature," Randall smiled as they walked together, hands in his pockets as he felt the early evening breeze brushing against his cheeks. "First, Dracula A.D. 1972, then its sequel, The Satanic Rites of Dracula!"
He'd seen them both, of course; he'd seen movies (be them double bills or not) multiple times down at the little second run theater, partly because it was a good way of staying cool on a hot New Orleans day, partly because he didn't mind seeing these movies more than once. He quite enjoyed the British horrors-he had to say, in the long run, Universal was probably his favorite home of horror, but Hammer was by no means bad in the least.
(Admittedly, he did wish the theater was running Horror of Dracula and Brides of Dracula back to back, just because the latter film was more romantic, but oh well...)
Sensing her discomfort, however, Randall asked gently, "Is that alright?" He hoped she wasn't uncomfortable at the double-feature; she said she liked horror, and so he hoped she'd like these films too, they were an awful lot of fun...even if he did wish he had just one iota of Christopher Lee's charisma and presence...

Okok I know when Travis grabs Max like a dog and calls him "good boy" it's supposed to be funny bec Max is a werewolf, but I also like to think of it in context of Travis. To Travis, being called a "good boy" is the highest praise his parents have ever awarded their sons. "A good boy takes care of his family", right?
So in the context of the scene, Max was resisting against Travis and asserting that Travis could question him right there in his cell, he was unwilling to leave Laura alone in the cells/be separated from her again for any reason. If Laura doesn鈥檛 stop him he keeps resisting! So I think that even though it was mostly a joke about him being a werewolf, I also think Travis was affording Max a compliment for his loyalty to/protectiveness of Laura even though he was in no position to resist.
