new dps fans need to understand how embarrassing it was for me at age 12 to be judged by my junior high English teacher for liking the most depressing movie in existence
Kinda wild that I actually did have several "male" bonding experiences with my father and brothers but I was so weird about it. I went fishing with my father at a catfish farm, didn't catch any catfish, then ordered some chicken tenders and fed half of them to the roosters
In my dnd campaign I've had a bit of fun tweaking the base setting. One part that's come up recently is the fae realm, which instead of North-South and East-West is split into Day-Night and Summer-Winter. The day/night is very obviously ripped from our own beloved Name of the Wind, with summer/winter feeling like the obvious counterpart.
I did a one shot this weekend that sent them into Autumnal Dusk, a very spooky adventure that played out quite closely to how I'd planned it. The reason I'm making this post however is because of a magic item they discovered, which I'm very pleased with.
As a reward for completing the quest, the archfey princess gave them a magic mirror that can open a portal to the fae realm from the mortal realm, but the portal is tied to when it's opened. So if it's midnight in the dead of winter in the mortal realm, the portal will open in Winters Midnight in the fae.
These were some Winnie The Pooh themed stuff I tried to make for a 1 year bday. There’s a smash cake and everything is hand made. The flavour was honey with a bit of cinnamon. The bees were made with lemon jellybeans and decorated in chocolate. The frosting had a tiny bit of honey in it too. #winniethepooh
