it's always good to foster empathy for animals and I think that there are so many creatures that are far more similar to humans than we give them credit for (or perhaps more accurately that humans are not as special as we make ourselves out to be) but anthropomorphism can truly be so dangerous... it's important to remember that humans are Also animals, but other animals are, obviously, Not humans and we lack an ability to communicate with them fully. trying to shove human emotions onto them hurts conservation more than it helps it. you can never actually know what an animal is feeling or what potential feelings mean to an animal. we can Guess, but broad and vague descriptors of behavior are always better than assigning human emotions that can have dangerous implications. a shark is not "angry", it is acting aggressively towards something, a lion is not a cold blooded killer, it is hunting for food. once you try to give animals morals or try to moralize their actions you enter very dangerous territory, especially if you're just like. a random person on the internet and not a scientist that studies animal behavior

hot take but you all NEED to stop telling people to kill themselves.
yes, even *those* people. i don't care if you're talking to some monster who puts live puppies into a wood chipper for fun, don't say that shit.
because mx. puppychipper isn't gonna be affected by your words.
but you know who might be affected? some innocent third party reading the words you said on a public website.
because telling people to kill themselves says "suicide is a punishment for being a bad person. bad people, upon realizing they're bad, should simply commit suicide instead of working to atone for their actions."
and that is NOT a message you wanna be normalizing to anyone, but ESPECIALLY people with depression (who, let's be real, make up a higher than average chunk of this site's userbase). whose mental illness is already telling them that 1: they're an inherently terrible worthless person no matter what they do 2: death is an appealing option.
is reading "kill yourself" once or twice gonna make them do it? nah, probably not. but reading it multiple times a day every day is gonna make their mental health worse. it's probably not good for your mental health to be saying that kind of thing, either.
just knock that shit off. the world is already so hostile to people with mental illness, and managing mental illness and unlearning unhealthy thought patterns is already so difficult. you don't need to be out here making it worse.

I’m starting to hate STSG so much solely for the fact that I cannot consume any content of my faves without them always being brought up or inserted into the conversation in some type of way
I just wanna hyperfixate on Hikara and Itafushi yet the most toxic and unhealthy ship is brought up more in their tags than them themselves

i know a lot of people are probably tired of hearing complaints of this scene but i think that at the very least this shot should have been paused/framed where you could see both of gojo’s arms and hands.
iirc we see him start to make this pose in the anime when he’s zoomed out, and then the scene pans up from his bottom hand
but like. quote aside, it’s also important that in this scene it shows the entire pose gojo was making because gege is purposefully referencing the buddha (his birth, if i’m not mistaken). and we just got a cut off part of it :/

from the background of an issue of punisher 2099: this presumably alchemax-sponsored HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? poster of spider-man with a toll-free number listed on the bottom, as if he were, like, a beloved lost dog, or something, instead of an anticapitalist vigilante

i rly loved reading the tags on my other commander profession post so here's another one!! ranger specific this time: to what extent do you work your rangers' pets into their lore? do they actually own/have a bond with one of every species you have unlocked for them ingame? do their pets travel with them? do they have stables or kennels or something at home?

I just wanted to draw Roman and Virgil beefing again, this time, a snapshot for the Begotten!AU book I wanna get done before the year’s midpoint.
I just Iove them being so damn belligerent, I’m easily amused.
(There’s a few reasons for this, not the most mature reasons... but Reasons.)
This was basically my brain drawing this:
With the NG Angry Faic superimposed on that gif.
