My 911 7x05/7B predictions

- Eddie and Marisol break up (she’s only had one line and one appearance in the last four episodes and I find it kind of ooc that the reasons Eddie didn’t want to be with Ana wouldn’t also apply to Marisol, there’s been such little build up or even scenes with them to suggest otherwise. That might change this season, but we haven’t seen a successful relationship launched between a recurring character and a newly introduced character since Michael and David (I don’t count madney because even though Maddie was new they’re both mains), so I don’t know how they’d do this for Eddie and Marisol without it being rushed and kind of clumsy)

- Buck and Tommy will have a good run but I don’t think they’ll last to the end of the season. Tim Minear said as much himself and described bucktommy as an important but “sort of the entry-level relationship” as Buck begins to understand his sexuality, but because of Tommy’s redemption arc and the clear joy Buck has about their relationship I don’t think they’ll end because of something bad between them. I’d hope it would either be that Tommy has to move due to some sort of career advancement, or someone realizes feelings between Buck and Eddie and Tommy doesn’t want to be a replacement, and not them killing him off. With that in mind, my genuine theory is that buddie would be what ends bucktommy because Minear hasn’t completed the rest of the season yet and has repeatedly expressed concerns about making sure he doesn’t create anything that messes with ratings and views, so if anything he may have been testing the waters with bucktommy to pave the way for buddie if it was received well- which it was. Whatever it is, I don’t think it’ll happen off-screen like with Natalia.

- There’s going to be some drama or angst surrounding Hen and Karen’s baby (they really deserve a break but they never seem to get one when it comes to their kids and I’m nervous, but they’ll get a lot of support from Chim and Maddie especially and I can see the relationship between these sets of parents getting even stronger)

- The silly Jinx/Cursed type episode this season will involve Chimney’s bachelor party (might be There Goes the Groom) as the 118 boys stumble into some wild shenanigans. For anyone who’s seen Psych 3x04 and 6x02 and/or remembers 911 2x15 Ocean’s 9-1-1, THAT is the kind of chaos I’m looking for where maybe they accidentally get involved in some kind of nonsense and wind up getting interrogated by Athena or get drunk/dosed and have to retrace everything that happened that night (bonus points for the trope of something happening between Eddie and Buck during that time because it would be hilarious timing but honestly not a bad way to get the ball rolling). Anyway, this would explain the ruined suits in the bts photos and I honestly see them just showing up to the wedding all messy and disheveled like John Watson in Game of Shadows and Maddie being shocked but not surprised despite having made them promise nothing will go wrong or something.

- Christopher’s current storyline arc is going to get a wholesome resolution closer to the end of the season as he works through his feelings and trauma from his mom’s death, and I think/hope Eddie and Buck will get to share a proud co-parent moment seeing him go off to a school dance or a date and knowing that he’s in a better place than he was at the beginning. The scene with Shannon’s letter was so beautiful but I think this narrative still hasn’t come full circle yet because we haven’t seen it change his dating behavior, he just put the photo back up, and I think the resolution really has to involve all three of them as a family (in whichever sense that ends up being).

- Whatever grand emergency features in the season finale, I don’t think it will involve the traumatic injury of a main character, I think it’ll be a really personal and emotional type of situation rather than something physical. The three episode premier was so intense and ongoing that I have a sense they might follow the pattern of s3 and s5 which each had a major physically endangering episode in the middle (Fallout and Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1) and then scattered large emergencies near the end with a finale that provided a lot of closure and personal resolutions for character struggles to carry over into s8. This might be the thing with Chris, or possibly more personal growth for Buck, but I think it has to be Eddie, Chris, or Buck because they have the most loose ends right now. The middle emergency has a good chance of being Ravi if they go with him getting the Albert treatment. Regardless, the hype for the show since being taken up by ABC has been huge so I think the finale will still have some sort of massive implication that’ll hook people in for the next season.

- Bonus minor prediction: Buck and Tommy cross paths at an emergency because I think that would be cute

Undertale Sans and Papyrus - They're both surprised it's even possible quite honestly. However, Sans would retreat if he sees Papyrus is attracted to you. He prefers his brother to have his chance than him. His brother deserves happiness. Too bad you don't get the message and drag him into this anyway.

Underswap Sans and Papyrus - That wouldn't work as both of them are very exclusive in their own ways. Honey would be glued to his S/O all day long stressing his brother could "steal" them from him, while Blue, who needs more independence, would be frustrated that in the rare moments he wants to have fun with S/O, he has to take his brother as well. There would be tension all the time.

Underfell Sans and Papyrus - Lol, nope. Both of them get along only a few hours a day already, they would both get jealous and challenge each other all the time for your love. The brothers can be pretty mean to each other, to the point it can get dangerous so you better not find yourself in the middle of one of their arguments. Choose one of them, there's going to be drama the first few days but they will calm down eventually.

Horrortale Sans and Papyrus - Well, it doesn't change anything as if you live with one of them, you live with the second as well as Oak can't live alone. So yeah, here you go, having two skeletons just for you. Oak can be a little possessive if you don't spend enough time with him though, and growls a bit at his brother. But it never for long. He just needs alone moments. Willow is more patient and calm, so there's no problem.

Swapfell Sans and Papyrus - Absolutely no. Rus would goof around all day and sabotage your and his brother's relationship just because it is so tempting. Nox likes his brother, but seeing him too much is overwhelming. The only problem is that none of them wants to give up on you and tensions won't take long to appear. Like the Underfell brothers, picking one will make drama for a while, but at least it won't last eternally.

Fellswap Gold Sans and Papyrus - It could work, but very hard as Coffee is quite literally on your back all the time, and Wine, if he has interests, won't show anything and will only be more irritable and frustrated because his brother is with you all the time. Wine is also not very good at showing his feelings and might scream at you to show you he cares which can be understood as the opposite message lol. Wine won't be able to express himself more because his brother being there all the time is blocking him. There's a high chance it doesn't work, but you can try to make it work with a hell lot of patience.

Let’s talk about Marry My Husband for a second and obviously, there will be spoilers.

I KNEW IT!!!! I knew that Jung Soo-min would end up being the more dangerous one of the pair. I remember saying in my initial review that while I didn’t condone DV as punishment (and still don’t), Soo-min and Min-hwan are both equally evil. It’s almost not DV at this point but rather two awful people being awful to each other rather than an innocent victim. The reason why Soo-min wouldn’t fall victim in the same way Ji-won was isn’t because she’s stronger but because she’s evil and doesn’t know when to stop. Soo-min will go to lengths for her own gain that Ji-won wouldn’t even dream of. So honestly, I absolutely called it when I said that it wouldn’t surprise me if Min-hwan ended up being the one to meet his maker because of a coffee table.

But even in half predicting it ahead of time, I still didn’t expect that scene to go the way it did. Those two are truly awful! It’s almost a shame that Soo-min offed Min-hwan because they’re honestly soulmates. Where else would she find someone as evil as her?

And damn did karma hit Min-hwan HARD! I honestly prefer it this way. Soo-min is awful but she deserves to live a LONG HARD life whereas Min-hwan was a coward. He deserved to have exactly what was inflicted by him happen to him. And the fact that despite all his misogyny, he was offed by a woman? Man that is poetic justice.

I’m so excited for the finale. I can’t wait to see what Soo-min will do next!

But I’m also loving the new Ji-won. Too often in these stories, the protagonist stays a doormat. And while Ji-won had her moments, she’s learned her lesson. She’s manipulative and crafty. Exactly what we need from the protagonist of a revenge drama.

Oshi No Ko Shipping Talks #01: AquaXKana or AquaXAkane

Honestly, after watching season 1 of Oshi No ko, I'm not sure who I am gonna ship Aqua with? Before his reincarnation he looked like a kind enough guy but after his manipulation shenanigans with Akane to find and kill his dad...it's a bit difficult to decide.

While I love both Akane and Kana for their hard work and passion and I think neither of them should end up with Aqua, because they're just that awesome and deserve someone even better than him, but for the sake of this blog post let's compare!

I feel like whatever he has with Kana is so much more genuine than Akane. They have this weird love hate relationship where they just get on each other's nerves and can't help it.

Like how Ruby points out in ep 11, that whenever Aqua is with Kana, it feels like he is his old self, even if it's just a glimpse.

When he wanted relationship advice, he went to Kana to get his head clear, not Akane.

He even put on that suffocating Pieyon Mask just to convince Kana because she wasn't listening to him directly.

He can wash this off as his sister complex or whatever but then why was he so angry when she pointed it out later?

He cares about Kana, even if he is not willing to admit it.

He was angry after hearing the producer's words in the 'Sweet Love' drama that they got a renowned actress like Kana for so cheap.

Plus he was totally enchanted by her acting skills... remembering that these types of scenes are her speciality.

Bonus: He even acted like that creepy stalker, and made the scene dark, so that Kana's role could shine brightly.

One could argue that all of these were for his own profit but nothing defeats my last Trump Card...

His reaction to 'OSHI NO KO'

This was such a fascinating reaction! I wanted to compare it with when he saw Akane acting like Ai.

Even Akane pointed out that it seems like he saw a ghost and it's true. He liked Akane because he saw Ai's ghost in it! All he wanted to do was use her, for his own good, playing Ayanokyoji huh?

He even kissed her, thinking about it.

Later he tells her that he's not interested in her in that way, and more interested in her acting skills, so that makes it slightly less worse?

I don't know what to think about it. One could argue that he came to Akane's rescue when she was about to commit sucide.

Plus he also stayed up nights to help improve Akane's public image. But then he's just that good of a guy.

He himself states in ep 11 that it's more of a work relationship for public image.

From Akane's side it looks more like a gratitude friendship relationship?

Unlike Kana, she never seeks him out or try to spend time with him, cause she's just not interested.

Their date was also more of a work date and it is clearly implied that after the party, they only saw each other that time.

So with all that being said, KanaXAqua looks like a better pairing than AkaneXAqua but that's just my opinion and I have watched only till season 1. I have heard that season 2 will have even more development for these two lovely girls and I'm so looking forward to it!

Last one since I know you must be insanely sick of me by now! What would you name as the greatest strength AND biggest flaw of each of each of these characters: Emma, Sean, Maya, Zig, Ellie, Manny, Jimmy,Alli, Dallas, Clare and Eli. Have fun!

Emma is her passion for the environment or her causes, lacking is her empathy for others is something she struggles with. Sometimes her mouth also gets her into trouble especially when she unloads on someone unaware that there's another perspective that she hadn't considered since she lives mostly idealistically.

Sean his strengths are his courage and heart. He bravely stood up for his friends JT and Toby and even Emma whether together or not, and his weakness and flaw is honestly his hot tempered exterior. sometimes it gets in the way of him finding true happiness and his low self-esteem. he isn't very confident and always thinks the worst of himself, but thinks highly of others.

Maya's strength is her happy personality but her weakness is that she deep down is very sad that others don't share that ability to let things roll or things don't go her way or whatever. I don't know she's very selfless but when she was depressed she isolated herself and wasn't herself and she didn't know what to do, it was a rough transitionary time for her character.

Clare is kind of a cancer to herself and brings a lot of unnecessary drama as far as negatives but she can be a good friend and supportive ally. The writers threw a lot at her but ultimately she survived high school I think she deserved to have a better relationship than the one she had with Eli because I feel like she got lost within that relationship due to his larger than life personality and how he challenged her early on. I think she became a different character at some point and I just don't think they were a good fit because of his overwhelming and intense influence on her. She also has a major flair for the dramatics, like Eli but in a negative sort of way.

Eli's probably on strength in my opinion is his creativity. He is a huge creative so naturally he gravitates towards Imogen and Fiona who are also highly creative with them both in fashion and staging. His weakness is his attitude, like Emma Eli can be very much in his own head and hates being wrong about something. He suffers in relationships because he wants things to be HIS way and he can be argumentative.

KH4(ish) wants and hopes

The following are just things I want and hope for in the future of KH and maybe others want and hope for similar and if not that's super valid.

More realistic wants

Sora to start unpacking all of his trauma This sweet baby boy has been through so much since the beginning of the franchise, but between back-to-back endless drama and constantly putting his own feelings aside for the sake of his friends, along with Donald and Goofy unintentionally instilling toxic positivity into him, he hasn't had ANY time to process any of it. Not to mention all the memories that have been buried down, during both CoM and even towards the end of KH3. He still genuinely believes that without his friends he's weak, so now that he's forced into Quadratum away from everyone, he'll get the chance to see how incorrect that is, which would then lead to him questioning more of his beliefs. I would say he'd see the truth in what Riku said to him before his sacrifice at the tear in KH3, but those are some of the memories he's lost. Essentially, what CoM was for Riku's growth, I want KH4 to be for Sora.

X-blade drama Sora was bequeathed the X-blade, his first formal bequeathment and now an actual keyblade of his own that wasn't meant for someone else. Now that it's in an "other side" I want to see literally any sufficient drama to happen involving the x-blade with Sora. Even if it's just him angsting over having it.

Potential ally Luxord At this point, it's all but confirmed that at the end of Re:Mind, Luxord's recompleted self is the one driving Yozora in the car. Now... I'll freely admit I just love Luxord and wanna see more of him. But knowing that he's also in Quadratum, and given his cryptic words upon his defeat in KH3, I don't think it's out of the question for him to help Sora out at some point. Considering Yozora's behavior thus far, I could see Luxord's recompleted self being another antagonistic force early on, turned ally.

Elrena and Lauriam reconnecting with Ven, and Namine is there Now that Larxene and Marluxia are recompleted, and given that Lauriam and Ven were vaguely close to each other in a coworker sense in Ux, I want them involved in bringing Ven's memories back. Naturally with Namine's help. I want Elrena to STILL be the girl that isn't overly sweet, since she's literally the only one, because that's something I love about her. But I also want them to give her stuff to do that isn't completely tied to Lauriam. Maybe even make it so Ven's memories hold some kind of key involving the foretellers so the drama on "this" side can continue to some degree without Sora.

More prevalent Namine Honestly, considering how strongly linked her powers have been to Sora, it seems silly that she hasn't been utilized in the search for him, as far as we know. Plus I'm sure she has more capabilities beyond that. Not to mention the amount of times Nomura has reiterated that the "Thank Namine" plotline is still incomplete. So I just need her to come back to being a primary character. I don't want her to be passive. And I JUST WANT HER TO BE HAPPY, OKAY!? She really deserves it.

Less Realistic Wants

Kairi growth game From the first game, Kairi has made it clear how averse to change she is, and that has been the biggest constant in what little character she's been given. My own belief is that's the reason she hyperfixates on Sora so much. Not because it's a crush, but just because holding onto this idea of how close they were before all the adventures started is easier than moving on and accepting all the changes for her. And honestly, she deserves better than that. So, this would ideally be an entire non-numbered game, but as part of her training under Aqua, I want her, Xion, and Namine (balanced, strength, and magic) to do their own journey through Disney worlds where a recurring theme in each world is accepting that change is inevitable and that it's okay. Along with varying bits to further Xion and Namine's own stories. And like how KH3 had moments where it would turn to Riku's perspective and let him be playable, Aqua would have that in this game. Aqua's side would be more about figuring things out about the foretellers. During these adventures, Kairi being a Princess of Heart would come back into play over the course of the story and give her more unique abilities, considering she's the only one of those princesses with a keyblade. After all that journeying, Aqua's Angels would end up actually helping Lea and Isa find that mysterious girl (Skuld) and it would not only be a step toward furthering the foreteller plot, but it would be a "oh, another person that's going to make things interesting for Ven when they meet" moment, given Ux.

Sora growth (cont'd) Okay, here's where I know I'll lose some people's interests... So, a lot of Riku's growth early on was accepting just how important Sora is to him and coming to grips with his jealousy and feelings. And he deserves major props for going through that. Sora, alongside canonically bisexual icon Strelitzia, is going to learn to admit similar things with regards to Riku. I don't think he's jealous of Riku, but he sure does care about him a lot. More than I think he realizes that would be on par with how much Riku cares for him. Instead of facing jealousy, though, while unpacking all of his traumas, he's finally going to have to come to grips with everything Riku did in KH1. Because he literally has not done that. I don't think it's going to be some over-dramatic angsty thing, I think it'll be more of a "Yeah... what he did really was messed up and I still don't know why. When I see him I'll wanna talk about it, but at least I know he's not like that anymore so that we can talk about it." And yes, I do firmly believe Soriku is going to be one of the ultimate plot points of the series and I'm not going to tackle why that is here. I just feel like Strelitzia is going to be pushing them together when she sees them.

I do have more wants, but I can't really think of how to expand on them, so I guess I'll just briefly list them here:

Either confirmation or further evidence to the necklace theory, ideally intertwined with the "Thank Namine" plotline.

Tied to above, I'd love if somehow the necklace is an emblem of the "Child of Destiny" brought up in Dark Road.

Kairi and Lea develop a friendly rivalry, constantly motivating each other to be better.

I do NOT want Hayner, Pence, and Olette to get keyblades and I'll honestly be super annoyed if they do. In my mind, it would be as foolish as giving Donald and Goofy keyblades, because these three have other strengths I'd love to see expanded upon.

Terra gets another Mark of Mastery exam, probably alongside any other characters that want it, but I'd want it from his perspective so we see him tackle more of his internal struggle with darkness and his time serving Xehanort.

Aqua with PTSD from her time in the Realm of Darkness. We already saw a glimpse of it in Re:Mind and I don't want it to get dropped.

Strelitzia actually fights and maybe even playable Strelitzia segments. We never actually saw her in combat in Ux, just saw her with her keyblade out. I can easily see her filling a similar role to Aerith in FFVIIR.

Ava. ...I just want something with Ava. Confirmation that she was Kairi's grandma, a mention of where she is now, anything. Literally I just want to know what's going on with her. Because unless she was Kairi's grandma, Luxu was the last one to see her, and that was FOREVER ago.

While Mickey's in Scala ad Caelum, there is confirmation that Riku, and possibly Kairi, originate from Scala ad Caelum. Or at least in Riku's case that his family originated from there, which leads to...

Riku is Ephemer's descendent, which I'm not going to go super into, but it would feed further into the necklace theory and would explain a LOT about him.

Ven and Roxas interactions... more than just a head nod at each other, please!

Xion and Namine friendship and I WANT TO SEE THEM BOTH HAPPY. Tie this into my Kairi growth game!

Utada makes another song based on Sora and Riku. We have confirmation Sanctuary/Passion is about them and their reunion in KH2, and analyzing the lyrics to Chikai/Don't Think Twice fits more with them than anyone else. So, more, please!

And then there's things I'd want from Missing Link, but that doesn't fit in here and I don't have enough wants to justify making a list...

Have you seen season 2 of Good Omens? Honestly and season 1 I would hardly call it a masterpiece or perfect. It was just fun, sweet and kind. And the biggest plus is the cast - Michael Sheen and David Tennant. They are both extremely talented and charismatic. And they are the ones who carry season 2. The rest of the characters, although not bad, but they don't catch on. And the biggest problem is the plot. When the story revolves around the main characters the series is interesting to watch, but when the focus shifts the feeling that the series sags. Also glad that for the first time in the series we got canon(?). Of course everything didn't end happily, but the tie-in for season 3 was necessary. And in a way, I'm personally happy with this finale. Otherwise everything would have looked too sugary and unnatural. So a certain drama is maintained and that's a plus. And of course it's funny to watch the anger and frustration of the hellers who still think they've been robbed of canon from a couple who were never originally involved in each other, much less interested. Unlike Aziraphale and Crowley. Though I'll be honest, I never thought or expected them to be a couple. It takes season 3 to become a couple though. And here's my main problem. With all things considered, is all of this enough to get a season 3? I think with everything I wrote above, the series may not be renewed and I would be truly sorry not to get the story of Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship. What are your thoughts and bets?

I enjoyed season 2, though I remember thinking while watching the first four episodes "are they ever going to get to the point?". I was getting impatient and kept thinking how so many of these tv streaming series are better off as 2-hour movies (Kenobi, third season of The Mandalorian, etc).

And then it finally got to the point, it was about love.

The love between Gabriel and Beelzebub reminded me a bit of the love between Sam and Dean: selfish and honest. Gab and Beel only care about themselves and each other, they didn’t want to deal with Apocalypse2.0 and they didn’t want to protect the humans or earth. And yet Gabe and Beel showed that love could be easy if you're honest, so it was easy for them to give up everything for each other.

Aziraphale is not selfish, he is willing to give up everything he loves - his bookshop, his food, even Crowley - just to save the earth. He also wants to make heaven into the good place it should’ve have been, and he thought giving Crowley back his angel status is what he deserves, because Azi have seen over and over again the good Crowley has done and that he's actually good. But Azi doesn't understand that isn't what Crowley wants, who makes it worse by not doing a good job communicating this to Azi. Granted, they both were not truly listening to what the other is saying because they already made up their mind before the conversation started. Crowley believes Azi choosing heaven over him while Azi believes Crowley, by rejecting heaven, is also rejecting him. Despite what Azi believes, he still "forgives" Crowley.

Those two have a lot to unpack, which is all a set up for season 3. With that said, the "sad" "bittersweet" ending kind of saved the whole season for me because otherwise, as you said, it would have been too saccrhine and unnatural-ish and why I was getting impatient for the show to get to their point.

I agree the characters other than Azi and Crowley were ....just there. I was glad that Nina and Maggie didn't end up together just yet since Nina is on a rebound. Crowley thinking all it takes for human to fall in love was getting them wet and looking into each other eyes is never going to be not funny. Crowley, are you sure you didn't know Jane Austen was an author and not just a master spy?

Will Good Omen get a season 3? I read it was the #1 comedy on Amazon so the odds are in their favor. Unlike season 2 which didn't really have a story arc, they set up season 3 to be a callback to season 1's Apocalypse storyline with the Second Coming, so a foundation is already established.

Hi I'm Megh.I'm a new Vampire Diaries fan and have been reading your rewatch posts for a while now.They have indeed helped me see things from different perspective than I had initially perceived.Full disclosure: I'm not exactly sold on any of the romantic pairings and there are too many of them and too much shipping wars about them.LOL! I'm currently on the final season and 6 episodes away from the finale and I have a few questions for you

1.Was Enzo-Bonnie an afterthought because I just watched Damon-Bonnie letter scene and that was more compelling than the whole Enzonnie or Benzo relationship?

2.Damon-Elena and Klaus-Caroline are walking disasters but I have heard the former is endgame while the other one is adored by the showrunner for some reason. Is it true or just fandom theory that Caroline's & Klaus's love interests were killed to make way for Klaus-Caroline?

3. Did the writers put Caroline and Stefan with everyone because they wanted to or did they think that was absolutely necessary for their story ? I enjoy their dynamic but I felt like their constant isolation once they were together was a bit upsetting.

4.Realistically I'm supposed to believe Stefan got over Elena but the narrative seems to play up the triangle and Stefan-Elena for drama,maybe,intentionally to undermine caroline-Stefan.I know the ending and I know they didn't end up together but I would like to know your opinion.If the actress of Elena hadn't quit, how do you think the show would have handled stefan's relationship with Caroline?I think they had great potential and the lack of enthusiasm at times is just too obvious to be ignored.

5.Did the writers have any personal preferences when it came to characters and coupling?Did that affect the quality of writing?They clearly sideline Caroline and Bonnie's relationships a lot .

Hi Megh! Glad you are enjoying the recaps and welcome to the emotional clusterfuck that is this show and fandom, though it's pretty dead since the shows ended. One of the reasons I did my rewatch now was because I wanted to do it completely removed from the ship wars (which were easy to get caught up in) and watch from that perspective. Thanks for the questions! I put all my answers below

Sadly I don't even know how to answer this best SO MUCH SAME! I never felt anything for Bonenzo (we'll see if it changes during my rewatch) and found Bamon way more compelling. It's honestly because of the showrunners, none of them felt strongly enough about Bonnie to give her Damon as a love interest because in their minds she couldn't usurp Elena. They gave her Enzo because even though he's the most NPC on the show he's still a powerful white male and falls into the higher tier guys (though not as high as the Salvatores or Mikaelsons) which they finally felt she deserved after her S6 storyline. In a way that's because Damon was now shown as caring about her a lot even if it's never romantic.

I think both ships fall into the same category of "drawn to the bad boy, she can fix him" yada yada yada stuff that is a pretty popular trope. I don't think JP necessarily adored KC I think she adores Caroline and the way this show works is the more high-cachet men are in love with you the better your chances of survival are. Stefan and Klaus are like top tier in that regard. I think the KC stuff in TO S5 had more to do with the Legacies spin-off and having them tied to that as a way to draw interest to that show, since it starred their kids. But they weren't endgame and JP made a point after TO S5 ended that she didn't make them endgame because it would have dishonored Stefan. Because even though that season gave KCers more stuff from Caro's POV of like she does care about Klaus (and I think fans could theorize she could have fell in love with him) her falling for him never happened in canon. She wore all black (something she never does) and she had her rings around her neck the whole time so the essence of Stefan/SC was in every scene they shared. IMO JP never felt KC could usurp SC because I think she looks at it from Caro's POV which is Stefan > Tyler > Klaus in terms of who she loved the most.

As in giving them a lot of romantic pairings? I thought that had to do with the writers liking their characters and feeling the chemistry a lot. Stefan always had some woman pining for him because he was the romantic male lead. Caroline as she moved further up in importance of the narrative got more male attention because the misogynistic way this 'verse works. They also liked to parallel Stefan and Caroline's journeys. If you mean what went on with them in S7, that is a very long story and can pretty much be summed up as Caroline Dries hated them and tried to ruin them, then Julie Plec came back and fixed them, this breaks it down. For me though all of S6 and most of S8 they were great and the writers gave them great and powerful stuff, YMMV of course.

Since SE was the ShowTP in the beginning I think that's why there was always a draw to them based on that's what the show was built upon. I noticed during my rewatch how much the writers used nuance to keep certain ships "alive" as in reminding the audience they were a thing and maybe they could come back. There was ALWAYS a possibility that the show could use SC to prop SE and bring them back together and I think it didn't happen because the writers ended up caring about Caroline more than Elena as the show progressed. The thing with Nina leaving is they knew she was going to leave at the beginning of S6 and I don't think SE was ever more platonic than they were that season. And the writers had so much enthusiasm for SC that season so I can't agree with you saying they had a lack of enthusiasm (unless you mean S7 which see above lol). Of course I'm not the best person to ask that because SC makes me feel more than any ship ever has and even the stuff I don't like doesn't ruin the ship for me. I also never felt the pull of SE even if I understand why people do, the transference issues with Katherine and Stefan needing to play a part to be the perfect boyfriend to Elena turned me off about it (plus he let her die!!). If JP left before the end and KW took over then I could have seen him doing the implied SE endgame but JP loved SC more than any other writer and I'll die on that hill.

100% writers like fans have personal preference but for the most part the showrunner controls everything and their preference can dictate more of what's happening. Unfortunately for Bonnie none of the showrunners cared enough about her and she was often sidelined but Caroline got really great stuff in S6 because JP loves her and wanted her to shine. In the earlier seasons when KW was still around and even right after he left everyone still felt Elena as the center of everything (and I mean she was top billed it made sense) the other girls were sidelined the most. Like Caroline was treated horribly in S1 because KW saw her as nothing but a prop to Elena.

Personal Entry #2

I met with Artemis today, and it was great. The first thing is she asked me to meet her! Usually I’m the one randomly dropping in on her hunts for some quality twin bonding time, so this was quite the change of pace. Plus, we met up in the Daintree Rainforest, and that place is absolutely gorgeous. So already, we’re off to a great start. 

Then, Artemis actually asked me to recite some poetry! I never thought I'd see the day. I haven’t written anything in a while (sue me, I’m detoxing after the trials) so I just stuck to my haikus from my time as a mortal. I don’t think she really appreciated the poems, but she sat through my retellings, which is more than I ever usually get from her, or anyone else in the family for that matter. 

And then, and then, she asks me how the music industry is doing. At this point, she’s becoming a bit suspicious. I don’t think Artemis has shown this much interest in my arts since we were very small children. But never let it be said that I am not always willing to gossip about the newest songwriter scandal. There’s a reason the Muses and I can spend hours speaking in the Olympian gardens. So I got going about the newest hit single that totally wasn’t about the singer’s last ex, and didn’t even realize I was falling into my sister’s sneaky trap. You’d think after 4,000 years of having a twin I would recognize the scheming, but I guess my time away as a mortal has dulled my perception. 

So about fifteen minutes into my tirade (I know, I know, I talk a lot, but I get carried away with music drama alright! The stories are so interesting!) Artemis interrupts and starts to steer the conversation somewhere else. Did all of this happen while you were mortal? She wonders. You would’ve been in Camp Jupiter around then, right? She mentions. Are you adjusting well back in Olympus? She straight up asks, apparently sick of me dodging and weaving around her attempts at subtlety. 

And listen, I know my sister. I know she doesn’t like to just ask people what’s wrong, and I know she knows I would never answer that question anyways. Artemis and I differ in many ways, but we both have a strong aversion to that kind of vulnerability. So I know when she asks “Are you adjusting well” she means I’m worried about you. And I appreciate that, I really do! But I can’t deal with someone worrying about me right now.

My sister’s worry feels like someone peeking over my shoulder while I'm trying to complete a brain surgery (I’ve done this before, BAD IDEA) . She means well, but it’s just extra pressure. It makes part of me want to flee like a startled deer. And that’s what I ended up doing. I blurted out some lame response about being perfectly fine in Olympus and OMG I actually forgot I have a meeting with the Muses I need to get to so sorry about that bye! It was honestly embarrassing, and I know Artemis knows that I was being a big fat liar. I can never fool Artemis, she’s known me for far too long. The people who talk about the mortifying ordeal of being known all definitely have twins. 

It was a mess. I’m a mess, and I hate the idea of my sister seeing that. She deserves better than my melodrama.

You know what, I’ll deal with it later. I need to talk to the Muses so that I’ll have at least a semi-believable alibi for Artemis. And maybe I can set up something to keep her away for a bit longer.

I know what you’re thinking, non-existent readers: Apollo how could you! She’s your twin! And I know, I know okay! But I just need some time to get myself together. Hopefully next time we speak, I can tell Artemis everything’s fine on Olympus and actually mean it.

I’m sorry but I don’t know how are we supposed to keep shipping rebelcaptain now that cassian will have his soulmate and true love in andor. okay jyn had hadder but it was not the same at all and I think that the series will make rebelcaptain look so weak :(

hey anon, to be perfectly honest, I contemplated not answering this because I don't wanna feed the drama, and after this, I probably won't talk about it again (because I don't want to) but I honestly disagree with you on several points. I'm gonna explain why.

firstly, nowhere does it say that Bix is his soulmate/true love, but even if she is, I find those terms to be very.... exclusionary. there's no reason Jyn can't also be his soulmate. whatever happened to Bix, whether she's dead or they simply broke up for good, she's clearly not in Cassian's life anymore by the time he meets Jyn. now it's hard to judge this without really knowing what happened between them, but by the time the events of Rogue One transpire, it's been roughly five years, and I would certainly hope that he's moved on. by that, I mean that I hope he's found closure and accepted what happened. it's easier if it was just a separation they both decided on, but let's be real, I personally think she's very likely dead. and if she is, as tragic and cruel as that is for both of them, Cassian can't love a ghost the rest of his life. he doesn't deserve to be alone the rest of his life (which is admittedly pretty short lmao, but let's imagine for a second that he lives and gets with Jyn eventually). he doesn't have to forget her, but he can absolutely open his heart to find love again. this is all only an issue if you imagine that people can only have one soulmate in their lives which is imo a very romanticized notion. we compare and measure love like it's some sort of competition, but it shouldn't be. I personally think that what he felt for Jyn was (or at least could have been, had they lived) just as strong as whatever he felt for Bix. they didn't know each other for long, but they obviously had a very strong connection from the start. you can't deny that. it's all there in the movie, as well as confirmed by both Diego and Felicity, so it's as canon as it can get. and it's actually kind of beautiful that he gets to find such a connection again, that he gets to experience that again.

another thing to mention is that it looks like Cassian in Andor and prior to Andor is a very different Cassian than what we see in Rogue One. they all said this, we all saw the spoilers. this is his character journey to become who he is in Rogue One. why that's important imo is because people change, they grow, they evolve, and sometimes with that change, people who used to work well together no longer work well anymore. you can kinda see this with Han/Qi'ra imo, they're just different people by the time they meet again, and it doesn't work anymore. so I guess what I mean, it's possible that the Cassian he used to be was good with Bix, but the Cassian he later becomes fits better with Jyn. this is pure speculation, and maybe I'll be proven wrong, we can't know until we see the show, but it's something to consider. when you change so much, the things you need and the type of partner you want can also change. and honestly, how many times do people end up with their first loves in real life anyway? sure, it can happen, but it’s not the common thing.

secondly, I don't think it makes Rebelcaptain look weak. for all of the reasons I already mentioned, but also because we all saw the movie. we all saw the way they looked at each other and danced around each other. Cassian watching her take down the troopers, the "welcome home" moment, the elevator moment, the beach scene, and so many others... they're all still the same. why should we look at it any differently just because we now know Cassian had a serious relationship once? it provides context, but it doesn't doesn't erase or change anything about his current relationship with Jyn. he was absolutely enamored with her, and literally no one can convince me otherwise because I saw what I saw with my own two eyes.

and thirdly, Cassian could go on and say that Bix was the only person he could ever love and he'll never be able to look at anyone else again, and I'd still ship Rebelcaptain. I wouldn't be happy about it ofc because that's dumb, and yeah, I'd be pissed as hell, but Disney can pry this ship from my cold dead hands. (but I obviously don't think they're gonna have Cassian say smg like that because why would they?) canon doesn't really stop me, I mean hell, Rebelcaptain was never quite canon to begin with and they're both dead. that never stopped any of us from imagining them alive and happy and in love. we still shipped it. I have ships who only interact a couple of times and hate each other, and I still ship them. shipping is not about canon to me, it's about the chemistry and the potential I see between two (or more) characters. sure, it can be really nice when canon validates that, but at the end of the day I'm gonna keep shipping what I like. canon is often a lot about your own personal interpretations, you gotta read between the lines and decide what you think about what's being presented to you. in many ways, canon is what you make it to be. so I don't think this should stop any of us from shipping them if we still love them. hell, if anything, ship them harder! tell canon to fuck itself if you don't like what it's doing. ultimately, it's all we can really do anyway.

Haha, sorry for making you think of Tangle's and Whisper's apology😅 But I must say, that is also something I had in mind when I wrote that I didn't expect the other characters to give Silver the apology he likely deserves if they go the route of the others ragging on him first. So far, I do not think that route is entirely proven with the solicit only stating "Awkwardness ensures.", but... Meh, I truly just have a bad feeling about it, not helped by the whole bit of the hasty accusations and what happened in Archie beforehand. I would not be surprised if 'Silver acts like an idiot and the others are snapping at him for getting in the way and being distrusting of this Cool New Diamond Cutter' were to happen, let's put it that way.

Honestly, with "I hate when the story is about characters making a fool of themselves" you hit the nail on the head: we know it is going to be incredibly cringe and awkward and uncomfortable! The solicits of both issue 63 and 64 state as much! ("But he's too busy being star-struck over Whisper to notice that he's interrupting their training!" and ".... he jumps to a conclusion that leads him to some hasty accusations. Awkwardness ensures." as prime examples.) And it might just be a complete disservice to Silver's character, both personality- and power-wise (you are NOT going to tell me Silver's PK is less powerful and skilled than Whisper's Wispon usage. Meteor Smash, anyone? Stopping the Eclipse Canon beam in that Sonic Channel story?), on top. Hopefully the plot line of Sonic and Blaze will indeed be something better handled than what the Silver and Diamond Cutters plotline is shaping up to be.

The thing is that "Character spends the entire runtime pointing out that Something is Wrong, gets arbitrarily brushed off, they are eventually proven right" is just... such a cliché plot. I'm pretty sure it's a stock episode in every Western cartoon. At least one can argue that the Whispangle Drama was supposed to teach a lesson about trauma and how to handle it (even if it was utter shit at it), but this is just a time waster - we know that the new guy is Mimic, it's so obvious from the cover, what's the point of going through this song and dance? Unless there's some Big Twist about it... and uhhh don't trust IDW with twists anymore...

Also yeah, you know what? Why is Silver even a Whisper fanboy? Whisper may be cool as a sniper, but Silver is by far one of the most OP people in the Sonicverse. This is not like him being amazed by the desert because it's still better than the future he grew up in, so he clearly has different standards of what counts as impressive, it's just... she uses Wisps, big deal, he can fucking stop a meteor thrown at him by a demigod.

In fact, I'll say that in general, the way Silver was used to introduce Whisper is... not very good. Compare this:

Tangle's introduction, where she displays her combat prowess and immediately befriends Sonic, showing her attitude and dorkiness in a natural way...

... and Whisper's, where before we actually see her in action, we get told by a canon character about how Amazing and Cool she is (let alone that said canon character is warped OOC), because she saved his life, yeah the random sniper is so fucking awesome man, trust me! Funnily enough, the first time we see her, she's just struggling to open a door, lmao.

(also i just realized that calling whisper "guardian angel", something she was never referred to since then, implies that they're all christian)

• 100% overprotective of people she loves. She knows better than to actually physically fight someone, but, depending on how bad the situation was, she knows how to absolutely destroy someone socially and never get caught. Like, you pick on one of her brothers/sisters and suddenly the next day everyone thinks you cheated on your husband and egged someones house.

• Def does art. Not necessarily like stylised portraits or anything, just tends to carry around a pen and a scrap of paper on missions and doodle pretty sights or happy moments in her free time.

• Doesn’t actually braid her own hair. She tried to learn in the past, but it never really caught on for her. She usually gets one of her brothers or sisters to do it for her, otherwise just puts it into a quick bun when she needs to.

• Has an absolute bleeding heart for animals. Will totally go out of her way to give food to stray cats and dogs wherever she goes, and if she settles down, the local stray animal population 100% crowds at her door every morning for snacks.

• Probably tried to adopt wild animals as a kid. Gave her parents a heart attack when her little 5 yo self walked in with a baby brown bear staring silently at them.

• Has a lot of scars. Obviously a lot of them are from missions and work, but surprisingly most of them are from stupid childhood stuff. Like, you could leave her alone in a padded room for a whole five seconds and you come back to at least three broken objects, something inedible in her mouth and a massive scrape across both of her arms. She wasn’t a stupid kid, just way too curious for her own good with absolutely no survival instinct.

• The master of gifts. Like, for birthdays and holidays, everyone just eagerly awaits her gifts because she somehow nails exactly what they want, even if they don’t ask her or suggest anything.

• Unintentional queen of gossip. She encourages people to come to her with info because she trusts herself to compile it and store anything important, but 99% of the time she only has drama being told to her. Like, sure, she could tell you the exact details of enemy movements to the centimetre, but she could also tell you about why Fatima broke up with her third boyfriend and how it was definitely his fault.

• Loves customising her appearance in little ways. She’ll have new nail designs and cute little hair bobbles and stuff like that pretty much daily. Def wants to dye her hair or do intricate makeup, but it’s just not practical or safe with her work.

• Hates ladders when they’re stood up by themself. She’s completely fine when they’re leaning on a steady surface, but otherwise put her anywhere above the second step and she’s shaking like a dog on a cat tower.

• Loves sleeping w people platonically. Just enjoys the safety of not being alone and trusts herself to look after the other person while they’re so vulnerable.

• Always doing something with her hands, from fidgeting with her hair, clothes, ect to just constant gestures while talking. Probably knows how to sew, knit, crochet, crack her fingers loud enough to wake the whole base, the lot.

• Is the kinda person who almost never get sick to the point where their immune system is a myth to their friends/family - until they get absolutely knocked out by the most vicious virus you’ve seen (and then bounce back after a few weeks somehow completely fine, like nothing happened).

• Just outright refuses to sleep with a blanket. Will tolerate a quilt, but absolutely refuses blankets. She loves to cuddle up in one while hanging out in the day or just unwinding, but literally can’t sleep at all with one.

• Can’t sit normally for the life of her. Put her on a chair and after maybe five minutes, her legs are each laid over a different end of the chair and she’s hanging from it upside down. /j

• Loves lego sets, just never gets to have them. Imagine that joke of giving guys that lego star wars falcon or sumt ship set and they’ll be completely distracted with it, just turn it up tenfold and add a little more rage.

• Has nightmares over the stupidest stuff. Like, there’s all that trauma nightmare material for her brain to feast on yet she wakes up in a cold sweat over a dream of serial killing cornflakes.

• Can’t massage for shit but is like the base’s personal chiropractor. You complain about your back aching? Five minutes later you’ve been folded perfectly over a table, each one of the joints in your body cracking with a decibel count similar to that of a volcanic eruption and your bones suddenly fresh as the day you were born.

• Holds really good game night kinda things. On an especially long stakeout, she’ll whip out a couple hoarded snacks and a deck of cards and it’s like a family game night all over.

• Surprisingly sentimental. She tries to avoid having too many, if any, personal objects just because she knows she’ll probably have to leave them behind eventually, even if her situation is stable at that moment. She totally has a favourite gun with a name that she treats like her firstborn child, though.

• Has no idea how to comfort people but is somehow absolutely amazing at it. You could be bawling your eyes out, experiencing literally the worst day of your life, whole world crumbling around you, and she’d just sit there in a too-long silence with a hesitant hand on your shoulder, awkwardly mumbling ‘there, there’, and it would inexplicably be the most comforting sensation you’d ever experienced. She just gives off a warm, cosy kinda energy.

• Gleeks on command. Just for funsies.

• Refuses to use any kind of non-manual toothbrushes (electric, sonic, ect). She just hates the feel of them in her mouth.

• Rages pretty easily but refuses to show that in front of her brothers & sisters. Likes to be a kind of role model to them so avoids being overly violent or rude like the plague (generally isn’t either of those without good cause, but esp not with them).

• Overanalyses things for fun. Partly as a bit of a military habit, but she also enjoys deep diving into the things she loves and explores loads of different ideas/meanings to them, and is really passionate about them. It also gives her a kinda fulfilled, safe feeling that honestly my girl deserves more of 😭 /lh

I might add more to this later when my brain kicks back in again 😇

in MY dream world, the second movie (which had the stinger of MJ having that “oh shit” moment) is leaning MORE into the Fisk / city drama. I think Secret Wars will have already been a factor by this point so I’d love for the plot to be about Peter, the city, and second guessing everything and everyone. Fisk should be a more pronounced presence at this point that’s running for Mayor, being a Menace and overall causing Spider-Man’s life to be hell.

I want MJ to confront Peter about Everything around the Climax so it’s a Wrinkle in the Narrative. I would CRY for crumbs and explanation for what she’s been doing, who she is, what her family thinks, what her dreams and aspirations are. She confronts him not because she’s still madly in love with him like an idiot but because she deserves BETTER dammit and he FUCKED UP and she wants him to KNOW he fucked up!!!!!

My Personal Ratings of Paradox Live Characters

I can imagine that not all my takes are going to be like by everyone, but oh well. These are all just my opinions, feel free to disagree, but any harassment over them will just get you blocked, I don't have the energy to deal with toxic fandom BS.

Also yeah, if you're new to Paradox Live, be careful, cause there are definitely gonna be spoilers in here.

Allen Sugasano - 8/10 I would've scored him higher when I first got into ParaLive, but over time and as more backstory was given on other characters as well, I couldn't really help but not feel that much pity for him. He unfortunately suffers a bit from Main Male Lead syndrome, but he's still lovable, I just wish he'd stop overworking himself so much. His voice and lines are great and have nice flow, and he's eager to dabble into any sound as well which is great for growing his talent.

Hajun Yeon - 5/10 This is a generously high score, considering when Paradox Live started I couldn't stand this guy. He still gets on my nerves a lot. His personality really just isn't for me. But at the same time, I can understand why he's like that and I do feel bad for what he's gone through. I do like his verses, he's got good flow and has a talent for eloquency (probably due to his upbringing). Even though he still puts up his front of I'm-Better-Than-You-Rich-Kid a lot, ever since the end of Phase One, I have a better appreciation for it and understand it's just a mask, though one that still annoys me. He's growing on me though.

Anne Faulkner - 10/10 I'm so glad Anne is as loved as she is, they truly deserve it! I'm honestly such a big fan of Anne for so many reasons, but most of all I'm so happy for a well-represented trans/enby character. I could go on for hours about how much I care about her and how proud of her for how far she's come, but I'll leave that to a different post. Their lines are always so fun and her voice is so smooth and adds a nice contrast to Allen's rougher voice (while Hajun's voice acts as a middle ground between the two). I wish her all the best and I hope we get to see more gender affirmation for her in the source too so she can start feeling more confident and proud of her identity and work past her traumas.

Naokira Saimon - 9/10 Don't get me wrong, I love this man almost just as much as Anne, but he gets a point docked because I'm not entirely a fan of how he was written to be so passive even though they were putting immense stress on him, both past and present. Even just showing us one small snippet of him being upset and not fully calm about the situation in private or with just Yohei would've been enough for me to consider him more well written, but it feels like the writing team just wanted him to be a Positive Push Forward Source, which isn't bad but leaves very little room for depth of character. No man ever has his shit together to be calm all the time, let alone present to be that way. Though it's no fault of his, I still wanna see more depth out of him that doesn't revolve around the loss of his wife. His voice is so pleasing to me, and his word choices and delivery in the songs adds a nice quality to everything, kind of like his voice is the grounding mechanism to make sure everything stays cohesive and doesn't get too overzealous.

Yohei Kanbayashi - 10/10 What they didn't give to Naokira with character depth, they definitely gave to Yohei. We tend to mostly see TCW through the lens of Yohei in the drama tracks too, which I personally love because you see how dysfunctional of a "family" they all are together, but you get to feel that feeling that Yohei, depsite all his grumping about and at Ryuu, cares for them all and wouldn't trade them for anything. And getting to know his past too, and that he used to be rougher than he is now due to being danna with Iori, gives so much depth into everything he's been through too, and shows just how much he's turned himself around now. I just have a lot of appreciation for the depth we're given for him and how much he's so obviously pulled himself through. His voice is definitely on the rougher side, but he hypes up the songs TCW sings so well (looking specifically at the "make it clap" lines in Life Is Beautiful and the "ready go" lines in One Shot One Kill for proof of that). It really shows his more rowdy side from his youth with the energy he brings into the group, but where he flows so well with Saimon and Shiki, who tend to sing/rap slower than him and Ryuu, it also shows how he's been able to settle into a slower paced life as well.

Ryuu Natsume - 9.5/10 I love this funky little guy, and I love how mysterious his background has been from the get go (even though we have more of a clue as to what it is now). He has absolutely insane energy, both literally and metaphorically, and even though he can be a bit much at times, you do tend to miss it when he's been gone for too long. He may show it in odd ways too, but he truly cares for those around him and wants the best for them and genuinely feels bad for their trap reactions. I cannot wait to find out why he doesn't get trap reactions himself and whether that's tied to his amnesia or not. His verses and voice inflections are my favorite in this whole music project. There's not a thing he's done in a single song so far that doesn't itch my brain in just the right way and make me want to mimic it exactly myself. It's so fun, it's whacky just like him, and lines like his "bibidee bopidee boo" in My Sweetest Love always bring a smile to my face. Just please stop trying to stick an octopus on Shiki sir ;;

Shiki Ando - 8/10 This boy has been through more than enough and I hope they start working more on healing his trauma because hoo boy does he need it. While they still gave us more depth on him from his past with Nayuta, we still don't get to garner much more about him and how even before that he was traumatized and that affected his ability to socialize properly. I'm so proud of him and how much more confident he sounds now (in Shooting Arrows) compared to the beginning when you could practically hear his voice shaking. He's shown so much more growth, and becoming part of the Bar 4/7 family has helped him so much and I cannot wait for him to sound as confident as Saimon in his verses someday.

Kanata Yatanokami - 8/10 I have so many feelings about Kanata, I don't know where to even begin. He's truly been through so much, and yet he still came out on the very top. He didn't let himself lose, he wouldn't accept second place as good enough, he truly has the spirit of someone who is going to end up a winner, and while I may not be the biggest fan of all of cozmez's music, it's very clear to me why they won Phase One and I feel they really deserved to win the most. Considering all the work Kanata put into surviving and making music, I'm glad he came out on top the way he did. He still has severe emotional walls up, put the times you get to see through the cracks of those walls show that he doesn't really want to be as alone as he says he does. His lyrics can often be aggressive, as would be expected from someone surviving on the streets and trying to become the top dog, and it really adds an extra depth to the beats he puts to their songs. I just hope we get to see more personal growth out of him as Phase Two continues and that we see him let his walls down a little more and make a friend.

Nayuta Yatanokami - 7/10 I feel really bad for rating him as low as I have, but if there's any character I'm more upset about the poor writing for than Naokira, it's Nayuta. They did him so dirty in my opinion. They led up the reveal of his "death" to an amazing climax, I actually sobbed over it, but then the reveal of him returning was so. Lackluster? He just Appeared. And then explained where he had been. There could've been more drama to it, hell there should've been more drama to it considering the build up he was given. And then when he got back his writing was very stiff. His reaction to Shiki was very off-putting, making it seem like they hadn't actually been friends in the first place but that he had been tolerating Shiki's presence even though we know that isn't true. They've gotten better about writing him to be easing back into socialization since then, but man oh man was that rough and awkward at a point where it was most crucial for it to not be that. Overall, I love his verses more now that it's actually him singing and not a Phantom of him singing, you can tell there's more life and inflection to his verses and more personal emotion behind them as well. I can't wait to see wht they do next considering the latest thing they've put out (Hit Em Up) blew my socks off and into the next country, they may not yet be at BURAIKAN's level yet, but they're definitely headed there.

Iori Suiseki -8.5/10 This man. I care so much about this man I don't even have words to describe everything I wanna say. AKYR hits me right square in the Found Family (my favorite trope ever) feels and it's all thanks to him. Even though his morals are often gray and questionable, and reasoning can be dubious, it's very clear that all his actions are to protect his family, the one he created out of AKYR, and that he will do anything necessary to keep them all safe. There's a depth to his character that you don't even need to know his full backstory to feel, and honestly I hope we never get a good look into all the ties and dealings he has because having all these unknown things about him and letting him be a Swing Factor for things is so much fun and adds an element of shock to the story too. His voice inflections and verses are my second favorite, right under Ryuu, for similar reasons. There's so many lines that I can't help but want to mimic and they hit the brain just right to make you feel that sense of cocky and nonchalant prowess that he has. There's really no voice like his.

Zen Gaho - 8/10 Zen is the very definition of what you get when you cross a gym rat and a Mom Friend in the best way possible. I know it's partly because he's Iori's right hand man, but it's also clear that he protects everyone in AKYR because he genuinely cares for them too. You see him uplift everyone he can, even if they're not part of AKYR and even if he doesn't know what they're talking about, he supports them in their passions. While his voice may not be unique, his verses are still fun and AKYR would never be the same without him.

Hokusai Masaki - 9/10 I am holding him gently, he deserves only happiness and good things. I'm so sad they don't really give us much on Hokusai at all, and I really hope they give us more because I just know there's a lot more to unpack about him, especially since the drama track of him just disappearing for a while in the middle of playing games with Reo, Ryuu, and Shiki. Where did he go? What's he hiding? I need to know more. But he and all his cat friends and his way of viewing those he holds close as animal friends as well makes me happy, and I'm just so glad for him that he finally has a place to call home and people who treat him properly like family. I love how toned down he is from everyone else too, and how his voice tends to be more monotone and doesn't go above more than a normal talking volume at most, it really adds to the air of mystery and "tiger hiding in the shadows" that they've given to him. Also, with all his verses of how far he'd go to make sure his family is safe and no one messes with him? I think out of everyone in AKYR he's the most dangerous to mess with, it don't think he's fucking around or joking when he says that shit. They are yakuza after all.

Reo Maruyama - 8/10 When I first got into Paradox Live, I thought I was going to be endlessly annoyed by yet another pink gremlin in a music project but I got pleasantly surprised and now I too would commit crimes to defend Reo. He's been through the ringer more times than anyone should be put through anything tbh, and I'm glad that he can find happiness and a sense of stability within AKYR. He's cute, he knows it, and everyone should acknowledge it. While we aren't given a whole lot on him either, what we are given shows just how much he actually does need that confirmation that he's loved and valued. His voice is just as cutesy as he is, but with violent lyrics befitting of someone who is in the yakuza and who has done the things he's done. I think it brings a little humor with having someone so cutesy also be a gangster, and his verses are really good too, he has amazing flow and is good with rhymes that would normally trip people up too.

Satsuki Ito - 10/10 I'm not gonna lie, I didn't expect to enjoy him half as much as I really do at the beginning. The description they give him in his original bio doesn't do him justice. He puts on the air of a gangster punk really well, but the loyalty and care he shows others shows through more than he can cover up. He does hold a lot of anger, and he really deserves to as well. I'm honestly nervous to see what comes of the drama tracks for the RAGE album and how everything between him and Ryoga is going to be tackled, because while Satsuki isn't one to refuse to listen to reasoning, he still will jump the gun and act in a reactive manner before he does. He still looks out for AKYR, and even shows he cares outside of his found family as well when he was helping Kanata look for Nayuta, even though he acts like he doesn't (likely because he doesn't want to get hurt again). His voice is so fun, definitely my third favorite in the music project. Just like Iori, his voice is unique and truly his, the inflections showing just how rambunctious he gets and his faster flow and aggressive delivery gives an intimidating impression, just the mask he aims to show. Also I cannot wait to see things develop more between him and Anne. I genuinely do not think he'll react poorly to learning than Anne is trans/enby, he knows what it's like to be given up on and turned on, that's literally his biggest trauma, I don't think he'd do that to Anne, especially not with all the time and energy he's put into her already. Not to mention they have what is essentially a mutual pining song together too, it would just be awkward of him to all of a sudden lose interest after that.

Chisei Kuzuryu - 10/10 I know that we don't actually know shit about him other than the snippets we learn from Haruomi talking to him (or "him" since we aren't sure what's going on there), but he's still one of my absolute favorites. His lyrics hold his ego, and it's a big one, but seeing as he was one of the pioneers to Phantometal being used and is still considered one of the best there was (the other obviously being Haruomi), he deserves to have such a huge ego. I'm curious about where the story is going to go in regards to him and I'm hoping they don't pull a Nayuta with him and his reveal and I am not ready to cry over him when it comes but I know I will. There's so much you can infer about his dynamic with Haruomi, even from what little we're given about them, but even just knowing he's who picked up Haruomi from his rock bottom and made this whole story possible? That's enough for me to have him as one of my favorites. His flow is incredible: fast and smooth and unwavering, just befitting of the king of hip-hop

Haruomi Shingu - 10/10 I think my bias for BURAIKAN is showing here but they aren't the number one legends for nothing. I love how Haruomi has been there, even without us knowing, from the beginning. From the first description we were given of him, and how above everyone he saw himself due to his genius with making music, it's hard to see what changed to make him content to just be the owner of a ramen shop, but I suppose that's something we'll find out as the story progresses. I really enjoy his character though, the air of mystery of why he's doing all this, on top of that stoicism and aloof personality still showing through, it's so intriguing to me. I want to see him interact more personally with Kanata at some point, seeing as it seems they're mirroring each other a bit, I wanna see what advice he'd give Kanata and if that would give any clues as to what's really going on. I'm a sucker for Haruomi's voice, I love deep voices so much, and his delivery, while on the slower side, still has it's own clear cut punch to it as every word seems to be said with a bite. He and Chisei's voices compliment each other perfectly, especially when dinging choruses together, and it's so clear why they're still the top dogs of the game even after all these years.

Shogo Yamato - 7.5/10 I may not have as much to say about Phase Two characters due to how new they are, but I truly do like Shogo, he's pretty both in looks and voice. I hope we get to see him grow his confidence in being a group leader, and also I wanna hear more about the weird gummies he finds, I think that's super fun.

Toma Hikage - 8.5/10 I'm usually not one for characters who are obsessed with their looks but there's just something about Toma that makes me wanna give him a hug and reassure him he's just as pretty as a sunset. You can see how caring he is already from how quick he was to go check on Shogo after the livestream, and I'm really curious to see more into him. His voice is amazing too, I don't have the words to describe what it is about it that hits my brain just right, but it does and I live for his verses.

Aoi Kureha - 10/10 I'm so glad they added in another enby, I love Aoi so much and I will join them (and Satsuki) in the AnZ fanclub. Their voice is so pretty and I hope if they ever do shuffle teams again they get to have a duo with Anne.

Kantaro Misuji - 6.5/10 I want to like him. I really do. I don't dislike him. But he's exactly what I feared they were going to do to Reo. Maybe as things progress I'll like him more, but as of right now? He's the Pink Gremlin of Paradox Live.

Dongha Yeon - 0/10 This little shit is the reason I actually started liking Hajun. I cannot stand entitled and stuck up little brat characters. I'm so sorry if you like him but first of all, I want to shoot him out of a canon and second of all: why??? He's just an abusive little asshole who thinks he's entitled to be the best. I understand that he doesn't comes from a good background seeing as what happened to his older brother, but he's already getting the whole family fortune over Hajun, and now he wants to take away the possible win Hajun could get of earning a name in hip-hop? I'm sorry to AmpRule likers, but I hope they lose miserably so this little pipsqueak can get a reality check.

Chungsung Baek - 0/10 The only thing saving this man from being in the negatives is his voice and character design being good. Other than that, I don't want him breathing on the same planet as me. Disgusting creep butler who gets off to being abused by the 14-year-old devilspawn mentioned above is NOT what we need in this music project, fandom, or world. Please eradicate him at your earliest convenience thank you. I'm sorry if you like him, but I'm judging you for it because what in the fuck.

Kei Miyama - 8.5/10 I truly do not understand why all the fans think he's up to something shady, the boy is just autistic coded, settle down. While yes, he knows more than he lets on, his intentions aren't evil. All we know is he wants to shut down the use of Phantometal, and considering he was being tested on for it and considering the dangers it can pose, as seen with Hajun and Nayuta, I can't blame him for it. He doesn't want that same harm to come to Rokuta, Itsuki, and I'm sure his old bandmates. Everyone just seems to be looking for someone to point at and call shady and everyone landed on him just because we know he has some sort of plan. At least get some more info on what's happening before trying to call him evil, sheesh.

Itsuki - 7/10 I love his character design and his verses are so fucking good, oh my god. I hope they give us more insight into him, I wanna know more about him, you can tell he's interesting just from his character design, please don't dangle him in front of us and then do nothing with him.

Rokuta - 9/10 Baby boy baby skrunkly boy, I love you so much, please have all the karaage you want. I would give anything for Rokuta, I hope he gets to hang out with Ryuu more and they get to play together, they have such similar energy and I wanna see Yohei do a double take upon seeing that there's Another One.

Yuto Inukai - 3/10 Don't get me wrong, I do like Inukai. His voice and lyrics go so hard and bring a lot of life to GokuLUCK's songs. But holy fuck did they do a shit job of representing DID/OSDD with him. I can't even begin to explain it, especially since I'm a singlet, but from what I know, they might as well have just said "yeah our only research was watching an episode of a western cop drama from the early 2000s where the killer had DID/OSDD" when they put out his bio. There's nothing wrong with liking Inukai, like I've said, I enjoy him too. Just please, for the love of god, remain critical of how they use him to portray DID/OSDD, do your own research, and acknowledge how shit they've done him.

Ryoga Tosa - 8/10 I am actually so curious about Ryoga and how everything has played out, especially since in his bio, his trauma seemingly comes whatever happened between him and Satsuki and how he was apparently framed. I can't wait to find out what happened, and I hope they're both able to find some closure, because it honestly seems like all that Ryoga wants is to be friends with Satsuki again and that he never wished to cause any harm.

Shion Kaida - 6/10 His lines in Stronger were so catchy, his voice is so alluring and definitely fits his personality. I hope he grows on me as time goes on, because I do think he's an interesting character, however currently they are dancing on a slippery slope with portraying him and how he interacts with others (especially Kenta)

Kenta Mikoshiba - 7.5/10 I want to rate him higher, I really do, because I love me a rowdy little gremlin who isn't afraid to say "fuck you" and is also a hacker, however he does have a tendency to go too far with his insults sometimes and need to learn how to calm down. He's going through his edgy teenager phase and I love that for him, just someone please teach him to stop being a 4chan troll for the love of god. I love how fast he raps though, and his little laugh in the background in Stronger as well.

Good Stuff: The Bob's Burgers Movie

Dedicated to Dale Baer, Dave Creek, Denise Fuller, & Tuck Tucker

Laughing at the fact that Bob's Burgers got a movie before Family Guy, lmao. Anyways, it's astounding crazy that we got a theatrical release for a cartoon sitcom, like since Teen Titans GO(?) This prepares that unfortunate lingering doubt of "should it have deserved this"? I say fuck that doubt, if the risk is there then what's life without a little adventure? However, is this good as a movie? Real question is why would Bob's Burgers get a movie anyways?

Now personally, I love Bob's Burgers no matter how long it's gone on. It's as much a comfort show as it is a more upbeat successor to Home Movies. I say what makes it work is, somewhat unlike Home Movies, you get everyone's perspective and the chaos comes well with the Belcher family jumping into the thick of it by force or accident. That's what we get with this movie where we got both a murder mystery and a time limit for something miraculous to happen. All this before summer truly starts. It's a simple adventure that works because it doesn't force things to be bombastic or larger in scale, at least anything that the show hasn't worked with before. I won't lie that people have a point that this film is a greatest hits story; copping plots from previous episodes. Then again, I won't say that's a bad thing. Honestly, I say it still does something better than The Simpsons Movie.

The family got to remain strong and genuine

Now I love The Simpsons Movie, but I don't believe it holds up as well because the status quo of this ever continuing series negated the meaningful growth that stemmed from the series calling the family's relationship with Homer into question. It's like you get it in the moment but it's not like Beavis and Butt-head Do America where it could get away with it being a one-off adventure. Bob's Burgers doesn't feel the need to dissect and re-analyze the family dynamic because the journey they all go on is enough. We get development, for Louise especially, but I'm glad the movie doesn't forcibly wedge in drama between the Belchers on top of everything else before it all returns to normal. They're supportive and grounded from the start and it's just as enjoyable when they finally get together in the final act when it matters. As a fan, them just getting to be there for each no matter what worked well here just as much here as it has in the show. Add on it being a spontaneous musical and it's seriously just a charming good time.

I didn't go into this film expecting them to rock the boat crazy; I didn't believe this to be some insultingly safe film either. Is it for the fans? Mostly yes, but even if I wasn't one I had more than a nice time. I want to cherish this for being an unapologetically laid back experience unmatched by cartoon based films like it that seek to, or have to, be bigger and louder. Aside it looking more cinematic, it didn't need a ton of bells and whistles be a great movie. It was honestly more refreshing than I believe people will give it credit for. Box office be damned, this movie was worth it.

9/10. Juicy and fulfilling like a homemade hamburger
