A Life Update
I’m way overdue for an update.
My apologies. Life has been busy and my energy level is way down, but I hope you all are doing great and I wanted to hop on here real quickly and give you guys some life/writing updates.
The Write Rabbit: The Write Rabbit hiatus is going on a bit longer than I originally intended to…but it’s for a good reason, I promise. During my break I began having an idea of taking TWR in a slightly different direction. As of right now, I’m still toying with the idea, so I’m taking a step back until I have it all figured out.
Writing: Currently, I’m trying to get more organized when it comes to writing. I’m currently ankle-deep in a zero draft for a project I began in 2020.It’s still very early for this project, but I’m really excited for this and I am proud of the work I’ve done so far. I’m currently brainstorming another project—cause my brain wouldn’t shut up about it and I’m thinking about brainstorming at least one other project because I really want to write a more romance-centered story. Not to mention, I’m busy trying to compile all my story ideas into one notebook. Let’s just say I have my hands full when it comes to writing.
Reading: I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself when it comes to picking up a book, but I would like to read more. Right now, I’m reading The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi and I’m thoroughly enjoying it so far.
Be more active on social media: While TWR remains on hiatus, I’m going to try to be more active on social media on my writer platforms. I make no promises though.

Work Smarter, Not Harder
One of my goals this year when it comes to writing is work smarter, not harder.
When I first started out writing, I was a discovery drafter. I loved writing a story as if I was the first to read it. I did very little to no planning, or I planned the story in the midst of writing it.
As the years went by, and my reading habits changed, so did my writing.
I learned that my approach to writing has changed, too. Discovery drafting now gives me anxiety. There’s too much work that has to be done after the effect.
I’m becoming more and more a plotter—a careful planner. I want to put in the work before I sit down and work on the very first draft. This year, I want to work smarter, not harder.
This year I want to embrace taking my time and putting in the work to make the story of my dreams finally come to reality.
What is your writing process like? Do you like to get the first draft over with or do you like to plan the story out before you sit down to write?

SURPRISE! The Write Rabbit blog is officially LIVE!
I’m so excited and so proud to finally announce that after months the website of my dreams is finally up and running. Earlier this year, I made the decision to return to blogging. However, I wanted to do it the right way. So I took my time. I bided my time. I really put a lot of thought into what kind of blog I wanted. I wanted to put my best foot forward. I wanted to put out something that I really loved and would not abandon or stray away from like I have with blogs in the past.
I worked on this blog primarily during quarantine while I was off from work and had nothing really to do. I’m not really good at doing nothing. It drives me crazy. There’s a little voice in my head that tells me that I should be doing something. Anything. I’m far behind and have to keep up…at something. Originally, I was going to work solely on writing. I thought I would work on an experimental draft and I would decide what to do with it after everything was over. However, I felt like now would be the perfect time to finally work on the blog/website and publish it by the end of quarantine.
With that being said, this blog/website isn’t exactly perfect. There are some things that still need to be added and one day I would like to update the website to feature its own domain and to get rid of the Wix banner across my site. But one thing at a time. Rome wasn’t built in a single day.
And so, I leave you to explore the new website. There are four blog posts ready to be read. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them. I hope you all fantastic rest of your day, and I will see you soon.
