Fun OC Fact

Haa’aji didn’t know he was gay until Warlords, when he met Chuckles, a Laughing Skull orc. Chuckles invited him and Liila for a three way. Liila got there late, saw they were having fun on their own, and bowed out.

Chuckles was a bit too much for Haa’aji to handle relationship wise, but it did open his eyes to the possibilities he’d never considered before.

When he voiced the marvel of it all, that men could be with men, Cloudless asked him how that never occurred to him, when Cloudless and his husband are right there, in the guild with him. 

And then Cinder had mentioned she was right there too, as she only likes women.

Haa’aji nearly got stabbed when he responded to Cinder, staring at her blankly and asking, “What does your poor taste have to do with anything?”

Consider: the shadowlands folk get to visit the living side if Azeroth if they take a mortal guise. What forms do you think they would take? (Mostly referring to Andrestes and the hands, but will will hear about any SL NPC)

So originally, Eridia was going to go get Liila and Thales from Azeroth, and she was going to show up in the guise of a zandalari troll, so I sort of have her in my head that way xD

Chyrus and Vesiphone would be pandaren. Xandria would be a worgen or zandalari, depending on faction.

Thenios would go for something super unassuming, so he would either be orc or human, depending on if he thinks he needs to deal with one faction or the other. He puts more thought into this than the others. Arios would be either a kal'dorei or shaldorei because he would feel it easier to "write off" strange knowledge while impersonating an "ancient being" (he scoffs at Azerothian version of ancient).

Thanikos would be a vulpera. Voitha would be an orc. Kleia would be a dwarf. They would all be sort of like, "What do you mean I'm barred from X city because I'm not their faction?" Faction conflict would go over their heads. "They got along so well in the Shadowlands."

Adrestes would be lightforged draenei because he likes being toll. Or Zandalari if he went to the Horde.

I feel like Renathal would go shaldorei or kal'dorei, too. To be toll. And have nice ears, even if they *are* a bit too thin to be regal like his natural ears.

Lady Moonberry would be a gnome.

Plague Deviser Marileth would show up as a murloc and wonder why people keep trying to stab him or run away screaming. Grandmaster Vole would be a vrykul, and be elated that people kept trying to stab him.

Pelagos would be a tuskarr.

Considering the cinematics show the real sizes: we aren't that small! Lil'Andy is a Human Teen and he reaches up to a bit over the middle of Thenio's Thighs.

One thing I find interesting about Pelagos is that all the memories we see yelling at him about being worthless are:

1: Negative. We see several positive memories shortly after.

2: FROM HIS TIME AS A KYRIAN. All of them yell that he'll never ascend, that he's worth nothing if he can't serve the Archon, and just generally bad things about him relating to the Kyrian.

#1 means that it's quite possible he has no positive memories. That's sad because he is my baby and I want to give him nice things.

#2 comes with a theory. We know that he is actively questioning the Path. He doesn't want his afterlife to go the way it's going. This is the exact ideal of the Forsworn. This means that he was likely approached by the Forsworn at some point.

As the Forsworn are not a cult or a man, they take "NO! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" as a valid answer, so instead of bringing him in to join their ranks, they leave him with a few pointers.

Number One: Conjure memories of Bastion, not your mortal life.

Number Two: Fake it. Pretend you don't know anything. Even to your closest friends. Turn off the connection to your soulbond. This will only hurt them.

And Number Three: Thenios is your friend (Another theory that I will explain later but basically I'll summarize it with this: Thenios is the Paragon of Wisdom. He gets everyone's memories. He'd notice if a bunch of people stopped sending memories. He's not an idiot. This means that he knows, and if he knows and doesn't tell Kyrestia, he's probably at least allied with the Forsworn, although likely not Zovaal, he's smarter than that.)

So Pelagos goes on his merry way (Not so merry anymore, he's scared out of his goddamn mind) over to the Temple of Wisdom and as he's going he really starts to think about it. Maybe the Forsworn are right. Maybe we don't need to lose our memories. Maybe sin is not inherently bad (now I'm just projecting how I left Christianity but that's ok)

He doesn't want to forget who he was. He doesn't want to forget how he died. He doesn't want to forget his family, or Banagos. He doesn't want to forget. But he can't lose Kleia.

IDK people I just like the idea of Pelagos being half out the door when we arrive and that's why he becomes Arbiter. If ya can't beat the system be the system.

(I HC that when he shows up with the Focusing Iris and is killed this is the second time he dies. He got rezzed by Arthas for sad times)

In regards to the whole ‘nothing we mortals would understand thing’, I feel like idk, they’re gods? And top tier gods, at that.

I think they would be less...human, for lack of a better word. Maybe ‘lesser’ gods are ‘more’ human, and enjoy things like physical pleasures of the flesh, but I don’t think the eternal ones would be much interested. 

Under the cut cuz I’m just gonna ramble

I sort of head canon that the Eternal Ones are so intrinsically linked to their realms that they practically are their realms. Like, the realms are an extension of themselves in some ways. Their moods affect the realms, and if they are injured, so too are their realms. On the other side of it, if their realm can be harmed meaningfully (like an invasion by the Light or Void or a temple plagued), then the god will feel that as an injury against themselves.

I also feel like they don’t have to have a physical form. It’s sort of an either or. They can let themselves be one with the realm, feel what is going on within it (Archon’s eyes upon you; the Master is always watching). They’re more omnipotent like that, but they can’t interact with their realm’s denizens as easily, so they take on physical forms. 

But they’re not attracted to physical stuff like so many mortals are. They might think someone’s objectively pretty, but they can just look at you and see past your meat suit, straight to your soul (that’s why the Archon looks at Liila strangely when she first meets her; she can see that Liila is marked for Bastion and is curious as to how this living mortal before her could be so). 

The longer a soul is in their realm, the more it can do the sort of things they can do (taste sins, for example), and that’s the sort of stuff that interests the gods. 

But at the same time, a mortal soul will never be more than an echo of what the gods are, so like, it’s kind of like watching a dog figure out how to untie a knot. They’ve got the concept, but they’re using their teeth instead of fingers because they don’t have the same resources to do it the way you would. They weren’t built to do such things, and it shows. 

I know there’s all those jokes about Daddy Denathrius, but I feel like if it came down to it, he wouldn’t be down to bone anybody. He’d just think all the mortal souls falling all over themselves trying to get his attention is hilarious, on days he’s not annoyed by them because they’re distracting him. 

Now, they could probably have like physical, human sex and all that, but I don’t see them getting anything out of it. 

All of this is to say that, to me, if the gods are getting off, it’s not to anything that we mortals would understand or even probably see as remotely attractive. 

We mortals would probably call them ace, but they’re into stuff, it’s just stuff we don’t get/can’t understand, so they don’t bother explaining it to mortal souls.

Thenios asked Kyrestia about it once, and she explained it and watched it go right over his head. Every now and then, he wonders about that, but he still doesn’t get it.

It sounds like a cop-out, but it’s not >.>
