Inktober day 16’s promot was Angel, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to make an artist’s rendition of the time I joined the Kyrian and forgot I was in deer form when I entered the cinematic. I could not get a screenshot because I was busy crying laughing and showing my boyfriend. If you have a druid yet to join the Kyrian, I highly recommend going in shape-shifted.

Why were souls delivered to the Shadowlands even through the Archon knew about the Arbiters slumber?
I currently have regained some energy and that means I can work on my Version of the Shadowlands again.
So Head canon incoming:
Worlds in the Living Realms can only hold a certain amount of power before they collapse and explode due to the massive overload. Those explosions not only destroy every living being on the planet but also every soul related to that world – still on it or not. While the potency of “living” energy can be shifted, mutated and even expelled; the potency of “death” energy or anima stays the same and adds to the worlds limits. When exceeding a worlds limit and those worlds therefor explode, the effect ripples through the Shadowlands as well and can be catastrophic, for such bursts hailing from the world of the living can't be controlled by the Death.
In the very early stages of Cosmos there had been more than one incident with such collapsing worlds and the Ripple – while mainly inconvenient for the Lead Realms – it is devastating for their Subrealms or even smaller impended realms for those can not only loose a significant amount of their population but also be extinguished when hit by a Ripple. So it was better to still ferry the deceased to the Shadowlands and have them be collected on a later date from one place than risk multiple Ripples and cause incalculable damage to the Shadowlands.
The much bigger problem was the lag of an emergency protocol for a situation like the drought. The Eternal Ones stay out of each others business per order by the First Ones and so Kyrestia had to trust in the Arbiters people to find a solution to the problems resulting out of their Gods slumber because even though all of the Eternal Ones have large rooms for maneuvering, straying too far from their purpose would result in termination.

Rant on the Underrated: The Chronicles of Nick
To begin this small rant, the book series written by Sherrilyn Kenyon is one of those series I enjoyed deeply in my mid to late teens and feel it is underrated. The Chronicles of Nick of is one of those series I personally feel it should have either a bigger following not simply because of how it is written but the manner of the topics of the series. From the use of multiple forms of religious lore and intertwining them into a means of allowing the world to come to life and that anything is possible.
Though a bit mature in some aspects, I do hope that more readers find it and delve into its world as it does not simply give a person an underdog story turned power fantasy but it does allow a reader to start to follow a rabbit hole in darker themes. Granted, I am biased from nostalgia however it does not take away from Ms. Kenyon work as her series doesn’t simply have books aimed at the series but additional works like manga and comics of the side characters that surround the main character of the Chronicles of Nick.
If you want modern fantasy with dark themes and to be flooded by anticipation then I recommend it. There is so little showed in fandom of what I’ve seen and it may not get big as PJO or Harry Potter but if someone feels as if they were an underdog or an outcast this series will make you feel as if you’re not alone despite the pain of the worlds.

i love how theres like. "canon" kyrian who is on her villain arc, steals bones, and is working for the evil vampire countess because she likes money. the kyrian in me and liza's heads who is gonna kiss manare and possibly redeem herself via taking up manare's mission. and then theres hcau kyrian who is a depressed undergrad ex music major who got dumped bc her gf wanted to focus solely on her career who is definitely gonna have sex with manare and is being adopted into opheluceenas friend group as we speak.
