hello! BIG congrats on 200 followers!! for the event i was wondering if i could request 💤,🍭, and 🍰 for johnny, gyro and josuke? thanks!
Ohhh alright! This'll be interesting! And thank you! :))
Link to main event.
💤How often do they fantasize about their S/O? Is the latter constantly on their mind?
Honestly, you must be something special if Johnny Joestar let you be a part of his life. You truly matter a lot to him in a world that has treated him like he was scum. So, you can guess this boy inevitably finds himself thinking about you on more than a few occasions.
Sometimes, he gets overwhelmed by negative thoughts, or is just not in a...Very happy headspace, which is when you come in! Just imagining you calls him down a little, and puts a small smile on his face, you're a very reassuring presence to him, you could say.
Johnny is also rather shy, so sometimes, he may find it easier to hide away in his thoughts and fantasize about you, instead of making them a reality. He doesn't want to appear clingy or too needy to always be by your side. he is.
~~~~~~
Gyro doesn't use his head much outside of combat lol. But those few brain cells he's still using are more inclined towards you than anything else. He's a quite proud guy, so he may find these thoughts overly cheesy, but he eventually learns to embrace them.
Imagine that he's just come up with a new joke, he won't be able to think about anything else but telling you about it. Or maybe he saw a teddy bear that "looked familiar" and he immediately bought it for you, so you could match!
I can see him also fantasizing about riding his horse with you, but that is the one idea he'll try to scrap and push away no matter what, no woman can ride Valkyrie...Although the perspective of it doesn't...Sound horrible.
~~~~~
Sweet sweeter sweetest boy, Josuke's thoughts about you are just as diabetes-inducing. He's not one who falls in love easily, but once he does, it's hard for him to think about anything that isn't you.
He won't pay attention in class because he's too busy imagining to be making fun of the teacher with you. He'll lose focus playing videogames since it's not same to play alone anymore. He might even just see a dress in a shop and give it to you for absolutely no reason aside from that fact that he thought it'd make you happy.
Also, stealing this idea from my friend, I have a feeling Josuke would often imagine what it'd be like to marry you. Just imagining you walk down the aisle while he's desperately try to hold back tears.
Yes, he has cried just thinking about it.
🍭 How easy is it to fluster them?
Now, Johnny used to get bitches, but not anymore, and he's kinda forgotten what it feels like to have someone show that type of interest in you. This means that getting him flustered will be a piece of cake.
Even if you're bad at flirting and mess up some words in an attempt at being smooth, he won't even notice and get embarrassed anyway. Compliment and show him that you appreciate his efforts, and it won't be long before his cheeks turn pink.
Also, friendly reminder that anything the stand feels is felt by the user as well. Hug or pat lil' Tusk act 1 with your own power, and Johnny will also get flustered by the indirect manifestation of affection.
~~~~~
Luck is not exactly on your side when it comes to get Gyro flustered. Dude has hooked up with lots and lots of women, and has learned a lot from each one of those experiences, simple flirting is not gonna work.
Take into account that most of your attempts will be nullified by him with ease. He'll tell you how cute he thinks it is that you're trying to embarrass him, before he teases you back, actually succeeding in doing so.
There is one obscure way to get him to turn red, and that is calling him by his actual name. He blushed even just saying it out loud. If you were to do so, and continued to after he told you to, you can be sure that it won't take long for him to try and hide his face with his hat.
~~~~~~
Josuke is quite the easy prey too, I won't lie. Perhaps not as much as Johnny, but it won't take too much to get him flustered. He really likes receiving compliments from you and remembers all of them, blushing a little just at the memory of it.
It is very likely that both of you will get rosy cheeks though, since this boy is ready to compliment or tease back in such a natural way he may not even realize what he'd doing. You both look cute though, and probably end up giggling together realizing what just happened.
It may be obvious, but I think saying something nice about his hair, especially if it's not his usual haircut, would really hit him right in the heart. A pat on his head, and he's already leaning on to your chest, not showing his face, trying to deny his embarrassment.
🍰 How teasing are they? Do they often flirt with their S/O?
Johnny couldn't flirt to save his life lol. Like O said, he just doesn't have a clue anymore about relationships, and despite how much he loves you, teasing you is not the best way he has to show it.
He does know that you'd probably like of he tried to, from time to time, so he might make an effort to think of something smooth to make you sway. When he realized he doesn't know what to do, he'll probably ask Gyro for help lmao.
Tries to play it cool when one of his pickup lines actually work, but he's definitely letting out a huge sigh of relief and hearing Angels' choirs. I can see him getting the hand of it with a lot of practise, but he's trying :D
~~~~~~
Yes! Definitely! Gyro just adores flirting and teasing you, he can't help himself, it just comes incredibly natural to him. Not that he minds though, he enjoys every second of it.
Rest assured that he won't be missing out on a single opportunity to make you blush. He's really good at it, since he's had his fair amount of experience with dating beforehand, and his confidence and smoothness are of great help.
Even if you're getting attacked, he'll still find some way to get you flustered.
Maybe he's just beaten the crap out of gunslinger while covered in blood, looking all menacing. If he catches you staring at him, he'll probably say something like "Mh? What is it? Like what you see?~" Followed by his iconic laughter and a wink.
~~~~~~
Okay, Josuke's situation is a mix of two main factors. He's someone who values romantic love and doesn't go around flirting with anyone he sees. Which means that if he were to tease or compliment you, you genuinely means what he's saying, and because of this, it comes very simple to him.
With that being said, this boy is also naturally good at flirting for some reason, he has a lot of abilities he keeps hidden, and if he's feeling goofy that day, or thinks it's a good time, he won't hesitate to bring out this...Talent of him.
He 100% likes to do so when the two of you are in public, especially since it knows that it's even more effective this way. If you were to tell him to stop, he'd chuckle before actually doing so. He respects his darling's wishes, after all ;)

The Idiot's Guide to Moressau
In an attempt to stem the flood of idiotic tourists who inevitably get themselves killed, injured, or swindled every year, Portia Beckham has written a short primer for all thinking of visiting Moressau. Her goal is to lay out the most dangerous aspects of the city and what you can do to avoid them. This is not an in-depth guide to the city or any supernaturals by any means.
full transcript under the cut:
CONTENTS
PAGE ONE Sightseeing The truth behind the tourist kitsch - places to avoid at all costs, hidden gems to explore
PAGE FOUR Shapeshifters Debunking stupid werewolf myths, how to pick a shifter from a crowd, how to avoid getting your face ripped off by an angry one
PAGE SIX Vampires How to spot a mosquito, ways to keep your neck safe, popular vampire hunting grounds PAGE EIGHT Witches Best practices for dealing with magic users, apothecaries to stay away from
PAGE NINE Magic and More Magic, and what you should know about it before you visit
SIGHTSEEING IN THE SMUGGLER CITY
The Golden Rule: Use Your Brain It’s hard to resist the allure of magic, I know. But Moressau isn’t the kind of place you want to walk into unprepared. There’s a lot of rot beneath the thin veneer of civility the city’s been splashing around lately. This isn’t meant to be a tourist guide. I’m not going to sit here and pretend that your visit is going to be all sunshine and roses. The sun rarely shines in Moressau, and don’t you know roses have thorns? No. This is a survival guide to help you avoid becoming a statistic.
Avoiding the Tourist Traps I’m going to be honest: ninety percent of the stores in Old Downtown are overpriced and full of cheaply-made tourist trash. ‘But what about Heron’s Compass or The Crooked Spine?’ you may ask. Overpriced. Tourist. Traps. The Crooked Spine touts itself as the oldest bookstore in Moressau, but most of its shelves are filled with the kind of crap tourists spend hundreds of dollars on just to say they bought a piece of Moressau. Most of that crap is made overseas. If you want to hear a sanitized, all-ages-friendly account of witches in Moressau and buy ridiculously named potions that do jack-all, then by all means go to Heron’s Compass. The Maer-Rigan Coven will charge you out the nose, and probably gloat about overcharging you to your face. If that’s the kind of vibe you want, then please stay in Old Downtown and never bother the rest of us.
Shopping That Won’t Bankrupt You If you want to find some shopping that’s reasonably priced and not forced to keep up a bright and happy facade for the city’s ‘image’, then you’re going to want to check out the street markets. All local, usually handmade, and what they lack in visual appeal they more than make up for in atmosphere. The really good ones don’t advertise their existence, you just have to know. Best practice: check the Arts or Lonewood districts on a weekend evening. You’ll find something that makes the entire trip worth it. Guaranteed.
Not in the mood for a stall crawl? There are a ton of unique stores around Moressau worth your time. But like most things, you’ll have to put in a little footwork for them. My personal suggestions are The Salt Well - a secondhand store covering three stories in the Arts - and Thistle & Rue - a local artist co-op that has everything you little heart could desire.
Local Food Worth Your Time Moressau is far from a haute cuisine destination, but since you’re here you’re better off sniffing out some of the local offerings than settling for fast food. Trust me. Check out Jax’s Diner down in the industrial side of town. Open twenty-four-seven and home of the best breakfast plate you’ll ever eat in your life. Or if you want something fishy The Queen’s Catch in the Boardwalk is by far the best place to sample some of the sea’s bounty. Finally, if you’re looking for somewhere with both good booze and good food, you can’t go wrong with Island Goat or the Salt Beard Tavern. Just don’t ask to try the chef’s special at the tavern.
The Historical and Creepy Look. All of Moressau is creepy. At least that’s what I’ve been told. It’s dark and gloomy and you’re just as likely to get mauled by a creep as you are to get scared by a dumpster rat. If you don’t know what you’re doing, stick to the shit all the brochures tout. You’re less likely to die that way. There’s museums and tour guides for all of you nerds, too. That tour of Augustus Laroche’s mansion is actually pretty fun. They have paid actors and everything, but frown on self-guided tours outside of the usual routes. Just FYI.
I’ve heard of some walking tours that have popped up recently that seem safe, if you’re into that kind of thing. Word to the wise, though: avoid anything that mentions the Montrose Syndicate. They aren’t dead, and they don’t like being talked about. Whoever started that tour is going to end up at the bottom of the bay sooner or later.
Seaside Attractions (And Then Some) This is another one the brochures can handle for you. The Boardwalk and lighthouse are safe enough, and there are parts of the preserved old wharf that aren’t too bad either. And yes, they were made with old shipwreck lumber. The founders were thrifty and morbid like that. Stick to the North Docks and Downtown if you want to explore Moressau’s seaside attractions. The Old Docks aren’t the safest place anymore, day or night. If you’re up for a bit of a hike, check out the original lighthouse just north of the city. It was abandoned in favor of the new lighthouse in the early 1900's, but whatever they made it with keeps it standing, even if the rocks around it have eroded away. It’s not as fun since the city took out the bridge connecting the lighthouse to land, but you’re brave (and stupid) you can still make it across the gap. Ask me how I know.
For some modern entertainment - or modern-ish - it’s worth it to check out Saltshock, the amusement park right off the Boardwalk. It’s got some of those old wooden rollercoasters that are actually terrifying. The modern steel coasters have nothing on those rickety old things. The prices aren’t too bad, but definitely don’t bother buying any souvenirs or food there. That’s where they get you.
And since you’ll be in the area, keep an eye on the street art. I know a guy who paints some really cool murals around the Docks and Southside neighborhoods. Some of them disappear pretty quickly, since he never asks permission to decorate someone’s wall. So keep an eye out for anything signed “W S”. And keep an eye out for the rest of our local renegade artists too. You could spend hours searching out all the hidden masterpieces in this city and still miss half of them.
SHAPESHIFTERS
There’s one thing you can count on in the world, and it’s that no one will ever agree on what’s the ‘right’ thing to call a shapeshifter. But to save you some trouble, I’ll tell you the best ones. Only scientists and academics use that stupid ‘metamorph’. Most people settle for ‘were’ or ‘shifter’. If you know what kind of shifter you’re dealing with, calling them a werelion or whatever regional term you know is probably fine. Just don’t call them a beast unless you want them to act like one.
Debunking the ‘Werewolf Myth’ Because ‘shapeshifter’ is such a broad category of supernatural, there are a lot of rumors and hearsay floating around out there. Hollywood certainly doesn’t help. So let’s get some of the worst rumors put to bed once and for all.
First and foremost, weres aren’t controlled by the moon. They won’t uncontrollably transform under a full moon, or grow stronger in moonlight, or whatever else Hollywood has fed you. A transformed shifter isn’t a mindless animal or killing machine. There are some shifters who have trouble controlling their animal sides, but in those cases they’ll act like any other animal. Lassie doesn’t attack everyone in sight, does she? Most shifters are fully in control of their animal sides, and you’ll only have to worry about one attacking you if you’ve pissed them off.
Second, not every bite from a were will kill or turn you. Which is hardly comforting, since you won’t know that until after they’ve bitten you and you’ve spent about half an hour shitting yourself with panic. No one knows how it works, but a were has to want to turn you for the magic to take hold. That said, a big enough shifter doesn’t need to Bite you to kill you. So I’ll tell you again: don’t piss off a shifter.
Spotting a Shifter There’s no one-size-fits-all way to pick out a shifter in a crowd. They look like any other human. Act like any other human. Until you get close enough to notice that they have a cat’s eyes, or pointier-than-normal ears, or freckles that look more like spots. Every shifter has a ‘quirk’ courtesy of their animal form, though it’s not always immediately obvious. I know a werewolf who has fangs in human form, and another who acquired a ‘birthmark’ in the shape of their wolf side’s markings. Each quirk is unique to the shifter in possession of it.
Behavior is another one of those things that’s unique to each were. Some will take on certain behaviors of their animal form while human, while others will only act like an animal when they are an animal. They’re like humans that way. You can’t just shove them all into one box and expect them to act the same.
Finding a Shifter Shapeshifters don’t have a lot of restrictions the way some other supernaturals do. They can go where they please when they please. Except for the fact that most mundanes are still scared of them and prefer shifts stay in specific neighborhoods like Amber Wood and The Point on the north edge of the city. So if you’re trying to find some entertainment on the wilder side, start there.
The hangouts in Amber Wood tend to be the friendliest to non-shifters. Belmont’s Basement is a historic dive that’ll let anyone through the doors as long as they don’t start trouble. Then there’s Ovidia. Be warned, the music and atmosphere are quieter than a usual human club, since Ovidia caters to the sensitive senses of shifters first and foremost.
The Point has been undergoing a bit of a gentrification spell of late. The Montrose Syndicate has been expanding their turf, and with the wolves come the wealthy. Above all, steer clear of Arnaud’s Run. That’s where the top Montrose brass live, and they do not like outsiders. You’re more likely to get your throat torn out than to get a lukewarm welcome in the Run.
But if you want to try your luck, The Hunt on Starfall, or the Silver Bullet lounge are your best bets. Better be on your best behavior, though. Insulting a Montrose soldier is the last thing you’ll ever do.
Were Deterrent? There Deterrent! Silver will mildly irritate a shifter, but it won’t kill them. That whole silver bullet thing works because, it turns out, guns kill things. It doesn’t really matter what the bullet is made out of. Wolfsbane will do the exact same thing to a shifter as it does a human. Don’t you know wolfsbane is incredibly poisonous? Just touching the stuff can kill a mundane, let alone a werewolf. Don’t be the idiot who goes touching deadly flowers because of a myth.
If you want to keep a were from transforming, slapping a collar made of copper and rowan branches will do the trick. It’s how cops ‘subdue’ shifters in Moressau. Why rowan? Who knows. Same reason vampires hate it, probably. It’ll irritate the crap out of a were, like itching powder, but it doesn’t really hurt. Copper disrupts transformation magic, but only when combined with rowan, and only when directly touching a shifter’s skin. That one’s easier to explain. Magic and copper don’t mesh well. Rowan amplifies it against shifters.
VAMPIRES
If your entire reason for coming to Moressau is to meet a vampire then I have two questions for you: What the hell is wrong with you, and why bother coming here at all? Statistically, there is at least one vampire in or near where you live now. Go find them. They’ll probably jump at the chance to drink your blood, if that’s your thing. You don’t need to travel for it. The only reason you should be visiting Moressau when it comes to vampires is their nightlife.
How to Spot a Vampire Let’s get something straight right now. Vampires don’t sparkle. They aren’t incredibly pale. They aren’t indestructible. A freshly-fed vampire isn’t much different from a human, actually. They’re warm to the touch - never hot - and no paler than the average person. The only thing they’re missing is a heartbeat.
That said, there are some tell-tale signs that you’re talking to a vampire. Their fangs don’t do that stupid retraction thing like some movies claim. You’ll see them as soon as a vamp opens their mouth. A vampire’s eyes don’t glow, they aren’t blood red, they’re just eyes. But they’ll shine in the passing light of a car or a camera flash, that’s for sure. Most supernaturals have that little quirk. Lastly, vampires lack both a shadow and a reflection.
A vampire who hasn’t fed in a few days will have a chill to them like any other dead body. But a hungry vampire is faster, stronger, and much easier to piss off. And a really hungry vampire might just turn feral on you. Trust me when I say you never want to meet a feral vampire. They don’t have enough reason left to leave you alive when they’re done.
Where to Find a Vampire Typically, vampires can only come out at night. They tend to burn to a crisp in half an hour if they’re exposed to full sunlight. It’s not a pretty sight. Luckily for the vampires of Moressau, the sun only comes out about 30 days of the year, so they can be out at nearly any time of day.. Most of them keep to the night hours out of habit, being nocturnal creatures. They also tend to hang out in the Midnight Quarter. There are some vampires who’ve lived there since the city was founded, and if you’re looking for night life then the Midnight Quarter is exactly where you want to be. Don’t be surprised by what you might see in a back alley there. The city’s feeding regulations are only really enforced when the police department feels that vampires are getting a little too comfortable. There are ‘authorized’ parlors for safe feeding in multiple parts of the city, but it’s only in the Midnight Quarter that vampires feel safe enough to feed out in the open.
Not all vampire parlors and clubs are dangerous. Just some of them. Club Nomad caters primarily to vampires, but they’ll welcome anyone looking for a night out. The bouncers there are better than most about keeping an eye out for trouble. If you want exclusivity, then L’Sourire en Sang run by the Société de Keres is as old and exclusive as you can get. They’re pretty strict about who they let in - mundane and vampire both - but I’ve heard that almost every human visitor leaves alive. Or occasionally undead.
Last but not least, there’s Cameo. It hasn’t been around very long, but it’s already pissed off all the old and moldy vampires in the city so it has my vote of confidence. I heard it’s run by a new coalition in town called the Strix Assembly, and they’re very concerned about keeping their bloodbags alive and well. Pampered, even. They don’t mind the occasional shifter drifting through, either.
Finding Good Mosquito Repellent Vampires might be some of the deadliest supernaturals out there, but there are some tried and true ways to keep them off your neck.
First, sunlight. We’ve covered this. Keep up.
Second, rowan wood. I don’t know what it is about rowan specifically, but it’ll burn any vampire who touches it. They hate the smell of it too, if you’re in the market for new cologne.
Vampires have an aversion to garlic, but it’s not going to stop a determined one. Pepper spray is useful if you can make a quick getaway. Don’t bother with religious iconography or silver unless you want to be laughed at before you die.
And finally... most vampires are just like everyone else. Common sense and a nice attitude will go a long way. If you wouldn’t go around insulting Joe Schmoe, don’t go around insulting a vampire just because you can, either.
WITCHES
Before you go getting all sad because I’m telling you just how dangerous all the ‘fun‘ parts of Moressau are, just let me finish. Because as scary as shapeshifters and vampires can be, witches are so much worse. You’ll never a know a witch is standing in front of you. Not until you piss them off and they curse you for it. At least a vampire has the courtesy to show their fangs before they fuck you up.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let me debunk some more stereotypes about witches. Some of them wear pointy hats, but so do a lot of mundanes. You can’t judge someone by their aesthetic. Even if it’s a stupid one. If they are actively channeling magic, a witch’s eyes will glow. It’s a soft light, like a glowstick. There’s no specific glow color for ‘evil’ witches, but the color is unique to each individual. A witch also tends to smell like the air before a storm when casting. Petrichor, some call it. That’s the smell of magic in general. Depending on how much magic is used, the smell can linger for a while too. But it’s really weird to go around sniffing people, FYI.
Finding a Good Witch Shop Most witch-run businesses in Moressau prefer to call themselves apothecaries or mysticaries. ‘Magic Shop’ sounds like a place full of gag gifts and card tricks. The good apothecaries are usually run by a single person or small coven. Anything with multiple locations or run by the Maer-Rigan Coven is going to charge you out the nose for something even an infanct could mix up. Maer-Rigan runs Heron’s Compass and Satyr’s Step in the Old Downtown, so steer clear of those. It’s better to avoid Hag’s Eye Apothecary and Honey & Sage while you’re at it, too. They aren’t Maer-Rigan run, but they’re way too pricey and their products are weak.
If you want a really good mysticary shop, check out Whitehart Apothecary near the Old Docks. Their prices are fair, and the witches who run it are a riot. They’ll even check you for errant curses, if you ask nicely. Breaking curses will cost you, though. Some other options are Lazy Gull and Black Fin & Feather, both found near the Boardwalk. Black Fin & Feather is perfect for all you goth-y, creepy folk. And Lazy Gull recently opened a coffee bar, so you can get your enchanted drinks on-the-go. Just make sure to tip well, or they might add something unpleasant in there too.
MAGIC AND MORE
There’s one thing I can say about Moressau that is unequivocally positive: it really is the most magical place in America. And I mean that literally. There may be other places with a longer history of magic use, but Moressau was built and rebuilt with the help of magic, and you can feel it. The city is alive with it. Be good to the city, and the city will be good to you. That’s our motto. That’s why most of us still stick around, even with the constant rain and cold. And the danger. We love this city. And it loves us back.
Now that I‘ve gotten a little sappy, let’s get back to business. Most of the newer parts of the city - really anything less than 50 years old - haven’t had time for the city’s magic to sink in. So if you’re scared of the idea that a city is alive, stick to them. They aren’t really alive yet. The oldest parts like the Boardwalk and Old Downtown are where you can feel the magic heartbeat of Moressau. You’ve got to stand still, and tune out the city noise, and then you can feel it. But since this is Moressau, standing in the middle of a busy public area and spacing out is dangerous, so bring a buddy if you want to try this.
Never, ever go below the city streets. It might sound cool to check out the ‘Buried City’, but the magic down there is different. Older. Woven into the ground by smugglers and people who didn’t want to be found. It doesn’t matter how well you’ve prepared, or how good your sense of direction is. Ten minutes down there and you won’t know up from down. There are people who manage to live down there, but don’t ask me how they do it. You probably don’t want to meet them, either.
If you’re a magic user, make sure you’re prepared for the side effects magic tends to experience here. I’ve been told magic has a stronger will in Moressau and takes more effort to channel. It also tends to take on a mind of its own and react in ways you wouldn’t expect. It’s nothing off-the-walls crazy, but it’s definitely something to keep in mind. Or else your protection spell might become a ‘knock everyone three feet back if they dare touch you’ spell. It’s only funny for the first twenty minutes.

Hiya Wench! <3
It's me, the chick who always wants you to explain things xD. I have another polite request (won't be upset if you decline, but I have to try).
I had an epiphany about my posts today - I tag for other people, not myself (twitter influence). And I realized I don't even know how to quickly get to some of the older posts.
And then I remembered your page and how it's all neatly organized xD I previously haven't realized all your tags were actually separating your posts into categories and such... I love it. I had some big brain moments today xD
Would you please have any quick tips (perhaps you already do have them on your blog, I just forgot how to display the blog with the template on) for how to get started with your own template and neatly organized posts you can always find? Maybe even some template creators and such?
I used to do HTML & CSS back in the day, but it's been a long while, I don't have that much time to do trial and error anymore, and any actual coding is out of the question for me. It's gotta be user-friendly. (Free would be best, but I'm ready to reward the work done.)
I'm loving it here now and I post A LOT... I'd hate to reach a point where I don't even know what's on my page anymore.
Thanks! <3
Hi, bb! 💙
I've been asked about this a few times, and I honestly never feel I have a good answer for it, haha. I just like organizing and categorizing things, honestly. Best I can do is share my thought process and a couple of handy tools--Hopefully that'll help give you some inspiration!
My tagging habits actually come from ancient Tumblr functionality--Back in the day, the search function didn't exist as it does now (in which it will (theoretically) scan the body and tags in the post), and you could only find posts if they were tagged in a certain way. Sometimes I wanted to post about game stuff, like Dragon Age, but I didn't want my post to appear in the main tag (because of fanwank hell) BUT I also still wanted to be able to find it later because my blog is for me first and foremost.
So I started using "s: dragon age" to gather all things related to Dragon Age (in which "s" in my mind stands for "series") and "g: dao" for posts specifically about Dragon Age Origins, "g: da2" for Dragon Age II/2, and "g: dai" for Dragon Age Inquisition. And if it was a post I did want to go into the main tags, like a GIF set or fanart, I'd use both the default tags (Dragon Age, Dragon Age Inquisition) and my personal ones for my own blog cataloging.
Tumblr search hasn't worked like this in years, but by the time it changed, I was already in this habit for a while so I've just kept doing it. I do change the way I organize stuff from time to time, and there are some tools that make that easier:
Xkit Rewritten This is a life-changer and has a ton of great features to improve your Tumblring experience, but the "Tag Replacer" specifically is awesome if you realize you want to change a tag en mass.
Tumblr Tag List Generator And this is really helpful if you need to do some tag wrangling and figure out what tags you've used. I periodically run my blog through this to catch inevitable typos in tags so I can change them, and see if I can consolidate any similar tags (e.g. catch if I was using both "g: da2" and "g: da ii" so I could figure out which one I liked more.)
As far as the organization itself and how I choose the categories, it's just vibes, haha. It's just how I catalog things in my brain. Which I know is probably unhelpful. Prefixes like "inspo: ###" and "shows: ###" are pretty self-explanatory. "extras: ###" is for the random stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere else, like shitposts and cute animal pics. "topic: ###" is for more serious subjects and discussions, like LGBTQ+ issues. "mine: ###" is for the stuff I've made.
Two things I wish I had done a better job of is 1) organizing other people's OCs by fandom (if you visit me on Pillowfort, you'll notice I use tags like "other's ocs (cp77)" instead of just "other's ocs") and 2) separating my edits tag into a gifs and virtual photography tag. Calling all video game imagery "edits" is also sort of a holdover from Tumblr days of yore, but I wish I had made a distinction there. (I had never even heard the term "virtual photography" until about 2022, though, and I've been on Tumblr since 2010 so yanno. Whatever. This blog in particular is 8 years old, and I'm not sifting through thousands of posts just to amend that.)
And this is a mostly comprehensive list of all the tags I use, if you wanna see the categories and whatnot in action.
With regards to blog templates, I've actually decided to stop focusing on that here because Tumblr has increasingly become a more app-driven userbase, and the pretty blog templates are only visible on desktop. Tumblr also nuked a lot of functionality of the custom pages you can make, which is where I used to keep my tags displayed. I still have a custom theme, but it's pretty bare-bones compared to what I used to do. (Now I get my CSS fix working on my Neocities website, although that is very much still a WIP.)
But there are fortunately still a lot of folks keeping the custom Tumblr themes alive! You can browse some of my personal favorites under my tumblr: themes tag, and @theme-hunter is a fantastic resource to find free user-made templates.
Oh, and because Tumblr is pushing more for a generic and uniform app experience, you do have to opt-in to activate your custom blog. It's this option under your blog settings:
Tumblr media
And if you want to view someone's custom blog (if they have one), you'll have use the https://fereldanwench.tumblr.com/ URL. If you want to view the dashboard-like version of their blog, you'll have to use the https://www.tumblr.com/fereldanwench URL.
Hopefully this made sense and can give you some ideas to get started!

Taking my adhd meds does many wonderful things. Like quiet my brain so I can focus on one task at a time instead of bouncing between twenty. And making my executives function.
It does not cure my form-aversion. Every couple minutes my eyes go waggawagga and I have to look at something besides legal documents until they calm down.
But I am being very brave.
Currently trying to file the Working Families Tax Credit form to get free money from the government as a reward for being too poor. But I have to attach a copy of my 1040 tax return which means finding out how to download a pdf version so I’m reading search results to learn the how-to and going to multiple websites that are all in legal jargon and not user friendly.
And eating a chocolate spice cupcake.

author confession: honestly, i find twine to be a breath of fresh air in terms of difficulty, because for about six to nine months i was using choicescript bc i was designing a game for heart's choice games for that period of time (before my editor said and i quote, 'it's no longer fitting our paradigm' but tbh i like the freedom to design my game how i want much, much better) and i found choicescript to be 500000% harder. choicescript DOES let you get into the nitty gritty of coding, but twice is more user friendly. tradeoffs!
Everyone thinks differently. The logic of CScript will work best for one person, while Twine will be more easier for others. There are dozens of different IF programs out there. Find the one that fits your brain best! Heart's Choice is a publishing label under the ChoiceofGames entity.

Hello again !!! It's your friendly Sam Wilson Anon 😁❤️😁❤️
I have nothing but respect for fic writers, artists, creative edits and so on. You can truly see the passion and their love for Sam in the work they create. Today, I want to focus on the amazing artist in our fandom.
What are some of your favorite fanarts of Sam ? It can be a self-portrait, your fave ship, Wilson family cuteness, Avengers related or anything that showcases Sam and his beautiful soul !! If you can, please tag the artist and give them love as well.
Sadly, since I am on anon, I can't post my favorite artworks. But that doesn't mean that I can't give love !!!!
The Sam Wilson artwork that stunned me is a self-portrait by @mariannaleit. The attention to detail is spot on and you can see the care that the artist put into it.
One of my favorite SamSharon artwork is them on their wedding day. It was created by @jessicapalumboart, and it is truly beautiful. Sam and Sharon look so happy and so in love. You can tell that the artist took time and care creating this beauty.
I am a sucker for soft SamBucky and @irontinystar brought the softness that is Sam sleeping on top of Bucky on the couch. This artwork is stunning to look at and you get all the feels !!!!
Let's fill our tag with love and beautiful fanart !!!!
Thank You ❤️❤️❤️
Hello beloved Sam Wilson Nonny!
I thought I had answered this but in true ADHD fashion I replied only in my head and promptly forgot to reply in actuality.
I really love this Sam Wilson art that recently came across my dash and it comes attached to a great Sam character study fic! I always stumble across great art of Sam but my Tumblr search skills are super poor. Here is this lovely piece of Sam out of uniform by @elkleggs.
These users have done some great Sam fanart:
@petite-madame
@vic-draws-sometimes
@velociraptorerin-art
@eosvns
@haflacky
@sumbacky
I apologize because I know I follow several other folks who make great fanart, but my brain just isn't working today! I also reblog Sam fanart regularly, so if you scroll through my Sam Wilson tag, you're sure to find a lot of it.
I have done a couple of Sam pieces myself but they are not the quality of many wonderful artists out there.

penny for your thoughts + Procreate & any other art programs you might have used
I love Procreate - absolutely worth the $15 one time fee if you have an iPad. There’s also a tonne of tutorials out there - not just video but if you read the Official Procreate User Guide it has both pictures and text which is in fact exactly how I learn best (see taking notes in my own words on things) and I find the user interface extremely user friendly. I will say that if you want to do photo editing it’s definitely not the best - I can do some things (and probably can do more as I work on it) but for photo editing I would say you’d be better with photoshop or similar. Also I bought a bunch of brushes but the free ones that come with are honestly great - also I’m thinking about getting a more paper like screen protector but the one I’ve got actually feels pretty close to paper. Also Apple Pencil. Love it.
As for photo editing programs - tbh I find ones like photopea extremely overwhelming, sensory wise (I think I’d have to shell out for photoshop or take a class) - though also I think some of that is that I’m working on my iPad (I need to search for photo editing for iPad apps). But for some reason it just makes my brain go OW in a way that other things haven’t, even ones that are complex. I think if I sat down and found some ‘photo/gif editing tutorials for fandom for absolute beginners’ I would probably do better than just mucking around in this specific case because I’d have something to work off and that’s kind of how I learn (like learning a dance - I need to see someone doing it). Canva can be fun if you stick to to the templates - I had a free trial of the paid version but tbh you can just screenshot your finished product using paid templates, but it’s fiddly(ish) for text on phone.
ask me thoughts on stuff

A Supercharged Sipping Habit: My Tonic Greens Experience
I've always been a bit of a health nut, constantly trying to find ways to boost my well-being. While I strive to eat a balanced diet, life can get hectic, and sometimes those five-a-day portions fall by the wayside. That's where Tonic Greens came in for me, offering a convenient and, I must say, delicious way to fill any nutritional gaps.
A Green Powerhouse in Every Scoop
Tumblr media
Tonic Greens is a powdered dietary supplement boasting a vibrant blend of over 57 fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other plant-based ingredients. This impressive list includes staples like kale, spinach, and broccoli, alongside more exotic additions like wheatgrass, spirulina, and chlorella. These powerhouses are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients, all designed to work in synergy and support overall health. The inclusion of probiotics and prebiotics further piqued my interest, as these friendly bacteria are crucial for gut health and digestion.
Mixing Up a Daily Dose of Goodness
One of the things I love most about Tonic Greens is its versatility. The powder comes in a user-friendly tub with a handy scoop, making it easy to portion out your daily dose. I typically mix a scoop into a glass of water, though the instructions mention incorporating it into smoothies or even yogurt. The first time I tried it, I braced myself for a potent green concoction, but to my surprise, the flavour was actually quite pleasant. It has a mild, earthy taste with a hint of sweetness, which I found easy to incorporate into my routine.
Feeling the Tonic Greens Effect
Since incorporating Tonic Greens into my daily regimen, I've noticed a positive shift in my overall well-being. For starters, my energy levels have definitely increased. Gone are the afternoon slumps that used to plague me, replaced by a sustained feeling of vitality throughout the day. I've also noticed an improvement in my digestion. Swapping processed snacks for this nutrient-rich supplement has left me feeling lighter and more regular. Perhaps the most significant benefit, however, has been a noticeable reduction in brain fog. I find myself sharper and more focused, allowing me to tackle my daily tasks with greater clarity.
A Convenient and Effective Way to Boost Your Health
While I can't claim Tonic Greens is a miracle cure, it has undoubtedly become a valuable addition to my health regimen. It's a convenient and effective way to ensure I'm getting a daily dose of essential vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial nutrients. The positive impact on my energy levels, digestion, and mental clarity speaks for itself. For anyone looking for a simple and delicious way to supercharge their health, I highly recommend giving Tonic Greens a try.pen_sparktunesharemore_vert

Interactive Flat Panel Displays: A Simple Guide
Hey there! Today, we're going to talk about something cool and useful Interactive Flat Panel Displays Imagine a big screen that's like a super-sized tablet or TV, and you can touch it to do all sorts of fun stuff. That's what an IFPD is!
Tumblr media
What's an Interactive Flat Panel Display?
Think of it as a giant touchscreen TV, but smarter. It's not just for watching your favorite shows. It's a super screen that listens to your touch and does things on it. So, if you want to draw, move stuff around, or just tap on things, it's your buddy for all of that.
How Does It Work?

Baggage Drop Podcast: Strengthening Our Mental Fitness
Tumblr media
 May is mental health awareness month, and before you roll your eyes at these designated months, remember that mental health is a critical factor in a healthy and vibrant society. After all, these continuous mass shootings are instigated by people with mental health issues and easy access to guns. The access to guns part is for another column, but it is also a critical part of a well-functioning and safe society.
There is a relatively new organization called Wondermind, which bills itself as the world's first mental health ecosystem. Wondermind combines easy-to-understand articles with proven techniques, replacing jargon and judgment with expert-backed tips for healthier habits.
According to Wondermind, "It takes more than an inspirational quote to really change your mindset. But showing up for your mental health shouldn’t be expensive, inaccessible, or time-consuming. Even if you’re lucky enough to see a therapist, making time for your mind in between sessions can go a long way. That’s what we’re here for—to give you easy, doable ways to put your mental fitness first every day."
I do salute the Wondermind's focus on mental fitness. So many podcasts and books dangle the key to lifelong happiness as if happiness was a permanent state of being that, once achieved, is a continuous condition.
Instead, Wondermind focuses on the concept of mental fitness, which, like physical fitness, requires constant, even daily, exercise.
For the month of May, Wondermind has released a new podcast called Baggage Drop. The allusion in the title is releasing our emotional baggage via a baggage drop. Nicely done, people.
Hosted by experts from Wondermind’s Advisory Committee — Dr. Jessica Stern, Dr. Ryan Howes, Alo Johnston LMFT, and Dr. Nina Polyné — Baggage Drop delivers repeatable and powerful mental fitness tools to help rewire your mindset for personal impact. The podcast parks itself at the intersection of healthy habits, mindset adjustments, and busy schedules.
To be clear, with the sad lack of a mental health support system in our nation, Baggage Drop focuses on a self-help system. Given by the paucity of a true mental health infrastructure, helping yourself, instead of waiting for help that probably will never arrive, is as good a solution as possible for healing and self-repair.
New episodes land every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during the month of May. True to its promise, Wondermind limits the episodes to about ten minutes in length.
I listened to week one with Dr. Jessica Stern and felt empowered and focused on improving my mental fitness.  In the first episode, Dr. Stern -- an excellent podcast host who combines prescriptive knowledge with vocal enthusiasm -- discusses neuroplasticity, which is the brain's ability to prune and replace unhelpful habits. The image used -- and a cool one at that -- is The Why: Finding Your North Star.
In episode two, Dr. Stern guides listeners through the steps to overcome mental roadblocks and create small, more manageable goals. The call-ins from listeners (Wondermind community) via Instagram are a nice touch and add a sense of "we are all in this together" camaraderie. Moreover, the music that continues throughout the episode has a thumping, syncopated beat that matches the upbeat and prescriptive nature of the show.
One question that Dr. Stern asks listeners multiple times during her three episodes is: "What's working and what's not working in my daily life?"
It's a deceptively simple, even childlike question that cuts through all the psychological red tape we use to overcomplicate and even delay our mental repair and maintenance efforts.
Baggage Drop is a well-thought-out, carefully constructed, and user-friendly psychology podcast that offers listeners actionable steps they can take to achieve greater mental fitness.
Have you seen or heard about some of the people out there? Karens, mass shooters, political extremists, and self-righteous fascists.
Listening to the Baggage Drop podcast may only be a drop in the bucket on the journey to greater societal mental well-being, but it's a damn good start.

My Thoughts......
Thoughts for Today
Oh dark 4 am…… cat puking……… no, no, no. I hate that The Terrorist got sick. And the sound came from my bathroom. I dislike turning on lights at an early hour. I usually make my way to the toilet without lights on. I have just enough light and know my way without lights. But, when a cat pukes… well, I do not want to find it with my toes. Eww.
So, I turn on the one light and get the cat blinking at me like, “what the heck are you doing?” Oh, thank you kitty for puking on the dirty laundry and in the laundry basket. Needless to say, she’s staying away from me this morning. I think she’s embarrassed by her early morning wake-up call.
I am up and on the second cup of coffee. I’m ready for whatever comes my way. I’m not upset that I got woke up early. I had time to pray, think, and wonder. On with my thoughts…….
I work at a building five nights a week. Where I enter the building, there is a business and I have a somewhat friendship with the lady who runs it. I say ‘somewhat’ due to her. She’s friendly but will stick a knife in your back if she feels like it. She will tell me her problems. Oh, she always has something going on in her life.
Well, last night was interesting. Her adult daughter has been having problems. She has had fights with her boyfriend (now, ex-boyfriend), restraining orders, wrecked her car, has weird boyfriends, and now, she lost her job. I have seen this daughter now and then since working there. Last night I saw her and could only think, ‘drugs’. She’s lost a bunch of weight and looks horrible. Her mom, my somewhat friend, has said she thought she’s doing drugs. In the past, I know she has done ‘whippets’. What Is a Whippet? “Whippets” (also spelled “whippits” or “whip-its”) is modern slang for nitrous oxide used as a recreational inhalant. The name comes from whipped-cream aerosol canisters, which users crack open to get at the gas inside. And I know of others doing this drug. Whatever brains they have are being taken away. The damage is noticeable.
After seeing how bad she looked and being completely flabbergasted, my heart hurt for her and her family. They want to get her mental health help but she’s not willing. She has seen what drug use can do to others. Her mom was a drug user for many years. My somewhat friend is in denial over her daughter. She doesn’t see that what she did in her younger years has had an impact on her loved ones. The vicious circle of despair doesn’t end. Hope is not seen. Or as the somewhat friend will say, “it’ll get better”, but with no actions or consequences.
She told her daughter that she is welcome to stay in the house but not the ‘boyfriend’. He is all messed up and homeless. His life is a swirling mess. My friend is allowing her daughter and boyfriend to live in the driveway in a shell of a motorhome. They have a heater but it must be freezing cold.
Drugs. There are programs to help people. People must want to change. They need healing from past hurts, they need hope, they need Jesus. And this state has made it easier for people to use drugs. I firmly believe it’s the way the devil can pull people to hell. Evil takes hostages. Evil works overtime to wreck families and people’s lives.
Today, I will go to work and hope that I can talk encouragement to my somewhat friend. I hope to give her information to help her and her family. She can be receptive at times but not always. Her daughter has told her numerous times that she wished she had never been born. She needs help. And at a time like now, I pray. I pray that she gets help. And how many others are out there struggling in the world of drugs.
Well, it’s the last day of January. A new month tomorrow……. this month has had up’s and down’s in it like no other. I am tired of January and it’s been a trial month. But I have found blessings among the trials. I pray more when happy. I continue to pray in times of trouble. I give thanks more in times of blessings but also in times of grey skies. “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12.
I look at my little problems and think about my somewhat friend and her family. My problems aren’t that much. I can look to Jesus to get through my stuff but folks without Jesus, well, they struggle. I can pray and see things change. I have hope. And I can pray for those that have no hope, no Jesus……..
And that’s the way it is………

Hi, I love your blog and the space you've created on here; I'm basically a long time follower, first time asker. I know this is a silly place to ask for advice on things such as this: but I have a hard time around the holidays due to my family circumstances. This year in particular has been more difficult and lonely than the years before, and I feel especially isolated. Do you have any words of wisdom or activities you'd recommend? Even shows/books/movies that may take my mind off things for the rest of the year? Thank you so much!
hi anon,
first of all, i hope you see this because it's a bit late (and for that i apologise, i swear i wasn't ignoring you). second, thank you for considering me in such times, it's wild that my silly little blog might be amusing even useful for somebody and that my advice is something someone might be interested into. and no, it's not silly for you to ask a tumblr user for advice. sometimes it's easier to talk to a stranger. isn't that what therapist is like, a bit?
and i get what you're feeling, in part. i'm a lonely person myself and i struggle with that, but what i've learned is that you got to fight against your loneliness. it's hard, but it's good for you. maybe reach out to friends you don't longer talk (a lot) to or to even friendly acquaintences, you don't know what friendships you might get if you put in the effort. it took a lot time for me to realize that, that friendship is work. i used to think that it blossomed expontaneously and it kinda does, but you also need to put effort in it, like a bean that naturally grows on a cotton ball but only survives in (real) good soil. most of times, that effort needs to be digital because of how lonely (modern) adulthood is and that might be a good or a bad thing for you, i don't know. it's both easier and more difficult at the same time, but it has to be done. even if it's just a little bit everyday, because Rome wasn't build in a day etc.
if that is difficult to you, i would suggest you look into discord servers. for any interest that you have, there's a discord server about it, i promise you. if not a server, maybe community on tumblr. hell, even facebook is useful sometimes, with their specific ass communities. reddit, even! the old internet was for that, to find communities and i don't know about you, but i'm feeling nostalgic.
you mentioned activities and i don't know abot you, but i can't live without a hobby a creative hobby, i might add. regular hobbies are good, but they can depend too much on external factors. if you collect something, you need money to keep your habit, etc. if you don't have any creative hobbies, don't be afraid to suddenly start one. you're gonna suck at it first, but then so does everybody. and the point of a creative hobby is not to be good at it anyway, it's to create. it exists for itself. it eases the mind. i can't meditate for shit, i can't keep my mind blank for a lot of time. but when i'm creating something? the moody part of my brain keeps shut. i'm focused on my thing. it's therapeutic. drawing, giffing, playing, dancing, acting, whatever, art is good for the soul.
for me, i like to make gifs. i used to be big on pixel art, too. and i've messing around with photoshop since i was a kid. (if you can't afford adobe products, don't worry, neither do i hihihi). there are… ways. i also like video and audio editing. photography. drawing. baking. writing. write fanfic, yo. you must like a character a lot. write about them having the best day of their lives, and the worst. write them meeting Joe Biden. go nuts! or write something original. don't think about if it's good or not, just do it. do you only eat food because it is good for you or because you like the feeling? create because of the feeling of creation. it's a natural high. best drug ever.
and lastly… media. reading, watching stuff, listening to stuff. i don't know your taste, but here's advice that works on everybody: go backwards. so you like heist movies, for example. watch old movies of the genre, really old. (i don't know if you're the type to consume old media, if that's the case pardon me and also… maybe try similar foreign media, if you can find any?). read or watch essays about it. find podcasts about your favorite topic, there has to be one. make web weaving posts with your favorite book quotes and art piece. make memes about it (i love specific memes, even the ones i don't fully get).
now, here's a few of my media recommendations: The X Files. again, if you already watched this, pardon me. but if didn't, great. it has 200+ episodes. are all of them great? no, but TXF is like pizza, even bad TXF is good. you like comedy? there is comedy! do you like drama? there is drama! do you like aliens? do you like long character arcs? we have them! do you like procedurals, monster of the week shows? guess what!
still on sci-fi, i would also suggest a show. and another show. and another another show. and a lot of movies too… i'm talking about Star Trek. all of it. is everything good? no. but it's good journey either way. also, it's a long journey, so you'll be busy! and the star trek fandom is one of the best. it's old as balls. it has people of every kind and age. it's a dedicated community. it's also one of the worst fandoms out there, but you learn to distance from the bad crowd. it's like family.
movies… watch foreign movies. (you might need to look on how to pirate them, though). watch old movies. do movie challenges through lists on letterboxd! lists on there are useful, especially if you don't know how to navigate old Hollywood/foreign cinema. if you look trough my reference or resources tag, there are lists of movies on Youtube that you can watch for free. if you can, pay for Mubi, even it's only for a month.
next, comics. not necessarily superhero comics (but that could be a suggestion, too! there'sa lot of it and despite the bad rep, superhero comics can be good!), but comics in general, people don't usually read a lot of those. read Blacksad. Robert Crumb. Ed Brubaker. Will Eisner. Jeff Lemire. Matt Fraction. Alison Bechdel. research genres that you like, there's gotta be a comic about it. look for the Eisner nominees and winners. read the classics, Peanuts, Calvin & Hobbes, Tintin.
it's been a while since i've read a book (kinda going through a mental block at the moment), but my go to choice is always the classics. not just english classics, but world classics too. Gabriel García Marquez. Julio Cortazar. Fernando Pessoa. José Saramago. Jorge Luis Borges. Machado de Assis. read feminist theory and queer theory (NO TERF STUFF). Judith Butler, for example. bell hooks. Audre Lorde. i think that's it? i could go on for longer, but i need to contain myself. and if you want to (and only if you want to), anon, you can talk to me off anon, i would love to talk to you! :)
i hope you get out of your funk soon! and good luck and good vibes for you, whatever your situation is, things will get better, i promise! and happy new year, if we don't talk again until then! ❤️
