Hot Drinks Tin

In the heart of winter, this cute little tin sits on the shelf waiting for someone to open its lid and peek inside. A delightful array of hot chocolate flavours await!

This was such a fun project and made me feel cosy with each flavour! I've always been inspired by the "Squirrel Hot Chocolate" which I think came as a deco object with Outdoor Retreat. It was soon time to give that tin some functionality!

💕 Thank you to my wonderful patrons for your incredibly inventive suggestions. I have tried to include as many as I could, I hope you like them. 💕

Important: *Make sure you have a coffee machine on the property, as the hot drinks will be made using that.

How to use: Download the two files, and unzip the "Hot Chocolate Recipes_All" file, choosing the recipes you want! In game: This object is purchasable from Build/Buy mode under the "Small Appliances" section. Place the tin somewhere in your Sims' house (Live Drag available!). Click on the tin and a menu will pop up saying "Make Hot Chocolate". Select a flavour, use the coffee machine to make it, and happy sipping!

Skill Levels & Ingredients: These hot chocolates have ingredients and will require different skill levels* to make. *If you are only seeing a few flavours, it may be that your Sim's Cooking skill is not high enough!

And it was then that I finally realized, “Hang on, it’s summer, it’s hot out. Shouldn’t the gang be in their WARM-weather outfits?” So I quickly had them get changed into some more appropriate hanging-around-the-campfire duds. Yes, that IS Smiler’s Dark Form Hot Weather outfit. XD With THAT sorted, though, it was time for more stories and to roast some weenies --

Neither of which worked correctly! Smiler’s attempt to tell an adventure story to the whole group just timed out without ever completing because I guess they were too distracted by “hanging out,” and while I was able to get them to actually tell the story when I picked a SMALLER audience amongst the assembled guests, THAT didn’t complete the goal for some reason. And when I tried to have them start the weenie roasting, I didn’t even get the OPTION -- literally the only thing they could make was marshmallows. >( (Though, it does occur to me now that I’m not sure I ever tried the interaction with Victor and Alice, the pair who can actually EAT. . .I’m quite sure the interaction should have still popped up for Smiler, though. I mean, vampires with Withered Stomachs CAN still cook!) So that was -- frustrating. What IS it with me and weenie roasts?!

Well, I couldn’t get the party to gold without weenies, but I figured I could at least TRY to get it to silver. I let Smiler roast a marshmallow on the fire (why not, they’re one of the few foodstuffs they can eat), while quickly directing Victor and Alice to grab some drinks from the cooler to fulfill THAT goal before they slouched off to bed. That and a little last-minute socialization around the fire with those guests who deigned to stay there (instead of wandering into Smiler’s room to mold clay and look at Snappy -- just don’t set anything on fire AGAIN, Aleah) did push it over to Silver, yay. Meaning Smiler unlocked a nice new chair to put by the fire pit as they cleaned up after the shindig. *shrug* Not great, but I will take it -- and it is a nice chair. At least it turned out better than that attempt at a costume party at the Von Haunt mansion in Windenburg?

So yes, that is where I left it, with Smiler cleaning up the house before going to make some mechanisms. Next week -- well, the playsession after this one might actually better suited for the week AFTER next, to put it closer to a certain Important Valice Anniversary. So it’s a possibility that next week you’ll just get a few shots of me playing around with clothes for the trio. We’ll see. XD Until then!

Quite some time ago, I mentioned that a café themed set was on the horizon - here it is now! ☕ Important info and download 💾 below:

About a year ago, I worked on several projects, but many things happened that prevented the release of them. This set was one of them - primarily, I make things for myself and my own use and post later. Just some cute domestic fluff that our ghostly needs

Warnings: this isn't proof read so poor grammar 😂

Simon laid on his back looking at the ceiling eyes wide awake. He sighed turning his head over to look at the clock; 4:13am. He groaned, his insomnia is getting worse.

Simon got out of bed grabbing his mask and putting it on. He turned on the light and searched for a pair of clothes to put on. He found a pair of hello kitty pajama pants and a skeleton hoodie. He slipped on his slippers and went into the kitchen. He went to the cubard in search of some tea. Maybe tea will help him fall asleep. He put the tea kettle on waiting for the water to warm up. He searched the fridge for something to eat. He grabbed a pack of eggs and decided to cool some breakfast. While he was scrambling the eggs he heard a snicker behind him. He looked over his shoulder to find y/n pulling out their phone.

"Dont even think about it" ghost whispered

"Too late its already in the group chat" they chuckled

Simons phone vibrated and he looked at the groupchat

Y/n:

Simon sighed putting his phone away

"What am i going to do with you" he turned back to his eggs placing them on a plate.

"Why are you up so early?" Y/n asked sitting on the counter

"Couln't sleep"

simon grabbed a fork and lifted his mask up taking a bite of his eggs. He set the plate down and poured the hot water in his pink mug. He grabbed some jasmine tea and put it in a filter dipping it into the water.

"You want some?" He asked

Y/n nodded "sure"

"How do you like it?" He grabbed the sugar and put a two scoops in it

"Straight like my ex" they replied

Simon snorted quietly grabbing your mug pouring the tea in it handing it to you

They took a sip while simon finished eating his eggs.

"Why are you up?" He asked

"Same thing. I couldn't fall asleep so I decided to get some snackies" y/n went to the pantry and pulled out some cookies

"Cookie?" They offered

Simon set his dish in the sink and plucked the cookie out of their hand and ate it. he grabbed his mug drinking the last of his tea before setting it down on top of the dish walking out of the kitchen with y/n trailing behind

“Sleepover?” they asked catching up to Simon. He looked at them inquisitive look

“What are we four?”

“In dog years yes!” they replied with a smile

Simon rolled his eyes walking to his room he opened the door and motioned y/n in. Y/n did a celebratory dance before trotting into his room and plopping onto his bed sinking into the mattress. They pulled the covers over them and curled up into a ball. Simon went to the other side lying on his back with his arms crossed. His eyes slowly getting heavy and eventually falling asleep.

When Simon woke up y/n was curled up in his arms sleeping peacefully. He ran his fingers through their hair gently massaging it. He grabbed his phone and scrolled through social media until they started to stir slowly waking up. They looked at sim in and let out a grunt burrowing their head into his chest

“What time is it?” they asked

“It's 2” Simon replied

“Five more minutes” they closed their eyes falling back asleep.

“Yeah five more minutes” he replied setting his phone down wrapping his arms around them slowly drifting back to sleep

This is an amazing mod! If you want your sim to become a model this is the mod for you! This does require the City living & Get Famous expansion packs, so be aware. Here are the creator's notes about the levels and branches;

1. Volunteer Model--there is no pay for the beginning of this career. I wanted to make it as realistic as possible, so level 1 is all about building a portfolio and gaining exposure. Mood: Confident M - W - F S S

2. Local Model -- Your sim will be part of the "mall crowd" participating in local fashion shows. These jobs aren't very selective... $15/hr. Skills: Charisma 1 Mood: Confident - T - T F S S

3. Hand Model-- Keep those hands soft and supple as your sims model rings, bracelets, and watches for local jewelry designers! $18/hr. Skills: Charisma 2 Mood: Confident - T - T F S S
