Hello! I like how you work with bringing the cartoonish face proportions to a little more realistic. How do you do it while preserving the facial features and characteristics of the characters as a whole?

hmmm... so let's imagine that we have an average maxis sim, townie or randomly generated

maxis sims usually have huge eyes, small noses and tiny jaws compared to real people. so my average process would be to make the whole jaw longer, then also chin bigger, nose bigger, ears bigger and lower, eyes smaller. don't be afraid of small eyes, big noses and big chins, it'll look very natural in the game. to be fair, i don't try to make my sims super realistic, at this point i like that middle ground between realism and softness.

most of the time i keep the preset of a facial feature itself and only change its size and drag sliders - that's probably why the face as a whole is recognizable. but you can change a lot with just sliders. for example, if you look at jeb's profile, you'll see that i remade him significantly

I absolutely adore your sims style and how you give all your sims so much detailed lore and an elaborate character! I know that's a super random thing to ask, but does Jacques Villareal ever make an appearance in your sims universe/story? Idk I'm just really curious about what your take on him would look like

well, actually, he does appear in my sims stories! 3-4 years ago (i'm not good with time) i even had a whole villareal-centered (more specifically, max-centered, but jacques played a huge part) gameplay, it was all about politics, business, mafia, power play on a really big scale. i even researched finances of all families in the game to better understand power balance.

to be honest, i didn't change jacques that much back then, i just made his eyes less ridiculous. but those are 2021 makeovers that beg for some 2024 treatment.

Hello! I just wanted to say that I'm absolutely in love with your sims, especially male sims! How do you make them look so gorgeous? Do you have any tips/presets that you like? Thank you!

i try to stay away from cc presets as much as possible. unlike maxis presets, cc ones are made for only one frame, BUT they still can be inherited by anyone - and if the sim who inherits a cc preset has opposite frame, their face will be broken. if you make sims for stories, modeling, visualizing your OCs, basically for displaying, then it doesn't matter, but if they're gonna have kids, it's better to choose maxis presets instead.

i'm absolutely devastated right now.

my chrome glitched and erased everything i had in it (i wasn't synchronized because i'm not comfortable when my PC syncs with my other devices). all my passwords, all my bookmarks that i carefully saved for years, all lost. more often than not they are not something that i can simply google for, like sims folders with lost stuff, folders shared to me by friends who are no longer here. just how much will i lose this month? first my music, now my info. it's like my digital comfort is being taken from me, bite by bite.

i know it's not the biggest loss in life, i know. but right now i feel like a stranger on my own computer, and it just adds to emotional discomfort.

upd: oh yeah, and all amazing songs i shazamed, too. well, that's just the cherry on top i guess
