🌹🌻 for an oc of your choice
🌹 Where in the world does your OC feel most at home? Is there any reason why? If it’s not the place they were born, where were they born? Is there a certain somebody that makes them feel at home where ever they may be? What does home mean to them?
I don't actually think that April does feel at home anywhere. Not in a particularly sad way, it's just he left his home, he didn't have great memories there. But he also never really felt like home needed to be a place. His home is within himself, he's very self-assured in that way. He does what he wants to make himself happy. And yes, he does feel more comfortable - more happy - with Ember. Home is just wherever he feels comfortable, and April finds it easy to be comfortable.
🌻 What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?
Plants and rocks. April loves his plants and rocks. He will sit on the floor and stare in amazement at a weed growing in cracks through cement. He adores weirdly shaped rocks or stones with pretty colours.

When I think about how much I dislike the fandom's portrayal of Brainstorm (and Perceptor by extension), I think about this one thing that the writers of MTMTE did over and over and over that urks me and has urked me since I first read the comic.
There's this... repeated joke where Brainstorm will call himself a genius or talk about how smart he is, and other characters will mercilessly tear him down. Taking any recognition of his achievements from him, or flat out denying that he's a capable and intelligent scientist because he's abrasive. You're meant to laugh when Ravage says 'You're not even the smartest person in this conversation' because it's meant to be funny to laugh at people being mean to or dismissing Brainstorm.
But like. Man, I dunno. I don't think it's funny.
We have this situation where Brainstorm is desperately fighting for recognition from Perceptor, because Perceptor is the most brilliant scientist to ever exist (a belief that I think also probably weighs on him a lot too) and if he can earn HIS recognition, then maybe he'll feel a little bit better about himself. This of course leads to Perceptor being uncomfortable or dismissing Brainstorm, and you're meant to chuckle at the whole thing because it's silly for Brainstorm to think he might get that recognition some day. He keeps trying despite it obviously not working, and that's funny! Look at him fail over and over and over again and laugh.
But it sucks! It sucks and i'm not laughing! I think Brainstorm's intense need to hang his self worth on the opinions of others is a tragedy, and while I of course understand that some of the characters that participate in these tear downs are generally not great people and what they're saying is a product of that, the whole thing doesn't sit right with me. Perceptor repeatedly being made to bear the weight of his coworker's problems also doesn't sit right with me. He's not his therapist, he's his boss.
And of course this whole mess is turned into something that it isn't for shipping content. We take Brainstorm unhealthily obsessing over people he holds in esteem (to the point where he's willing to commit suicide just to save someone who never gave a shit about him) and instead turn it into him having big cutesy crushes. It's not right, man. It wasn't right when they had Perceptor go 'you know what Brainstorm, it's the end of the comic, and i'm going to finally tell you that you're an okay scientist to your face. Look at that, you finally have some self worth because I gave it to you! Isn't that great!'. It was forced and awkward and bad.
This is all to say that i'm taking Brainstorm away from people until we can all learn to handle him and his issues with tact. And also so people can start respecting Perceptor's agency as a character and not turn him into a therapist for a character he simply has a moderately strained working relationship with.

Looking at potential Heartstopper love web
[I've included two different charts because Elle has not been confirmed to be straight or bi. Imogen has been put down as bi despite not yet claiming a label because she has displayed attraction to Nick and Sahar.]
For sanity, I've only focused on the core 9 (Isaac is more a formality here, so he can read books on his own if he wants).
Charlie only has one match Nick, while Nick has four matches in total. Tao has three matches.
Assuming straight Elle, she has two matches while Sahar and Imogen have five matches, and Tara and Darcy have three matches.
Assuming bi Elle, she, Sahar and Imogen have six matches, while Tara and Darcy have four matches.
The SE scenario has a mean, median and mode of 3.25, 3 and 3. Assuming all 8 must be paired up monogamously, there are 3 possible ways to do so. There are six potential triads.
Meanwhile, the BE scenario has a mean, median and mode of 4.25, 4 and 4/6. Assuming all 8 must be paired up monogamously, there are 9 possible ways to do so. There are sixteen potential triads.

Hi dearie! For the space ask game: 🌙 Crescent moon and ☄️ Comet, please
Hiiii! Thank you!
🌙 Crescent moon - Do any of your character have to hide a part of themselves? Why?
Have to? Not...really, or at least it depends on your definition of having to.
Ari and April both went through the sort of childhood where they felt their feelings were not taken seriously, they were generally emotionally (and in april's case, physically) neglected, and that caused them - moving into teenagehood and adulthood - to internalise and hide a lot of their emotions. Furthermore, in both their cases there are often times where they can't discern, notice, or control their feelings in any capacity.
For April this tends to externalise in a very "happy-go-lucky" exterior, which is how he largely presents himself to those around him. He's fun, he drinks, he parties, he blows things up for fun. Except that he's also having numerous breakdowns in between. He doesn't tend to show that because he never untangled the physical and emotional harm caused to him for expressing emotion as a child, largely in the form of being outright ignored and, under some circumstances, left to the edge of starvation and death by his parents.
Ari, on the other hand, tends to externalise and filter all of his emotions through anger. He tends to hide his more anxious, avoidant, and lonely side because he's never been taught that he deserves care and love in any capacity. Instead, he keeps pushing everyone away from him because the only thing he's certain of is that he deserves isolation as penance for what are essentially make-believe crimes. We love some religious guilt.
And don't even get me started on how the only person, at the start of Out of Sight and Mind, who knows Ari is trans, is Ember.
☄️ Comet - Who is your most self destructive character? Why are they like that?
I've answered this one before, but it fits quite nicely after talking about April's past to say, April. Hands down. He's an addict, in the literaly and metaphorical sense. He loves pain. He chases self-destruction, and I think some part of him just continuously relives the trauma of his childhood by doing so. It's such a complex thing that I could write a whole post on by itself really. A lot of April's coping mechanisms come from a very personal place and a very personal expression of childhood trauma.
I'd say Ember is a close runner-up because of the adrenaline junkie thing. He practically uses April as a way to get himself in a fuck ton of terrible situations. In some ways they calm each other down, in others...oh boy.
Then it's probably Ari, but more emotionally self destructive, though he is an alcoholic.

An analysis on how Sir Pentious' character design represents his personality and development perfectly (beware of Hazbin Hotel spoilers)
Let's get this out of the way: Sir Pentious is a snake, an animal mostly known for generally believed negative traits such as poison, deceit and betrayal. We don't know WHY he's in Hell, maybe he was a "snake oil salesman" considering he comes from the Victorian times and he's into hyping up what he does, or maybe he was into war. Thing is, he's a Sinner whose design just scream "Evil".
(BTW, a snake could also represent "fertility": looking at you, Egg Boiz!)
He always had eyes all around him not just because of a stylistic choice.
Sir Pentious always felt like he was watched, and had to watch out for any danger.
"Everyone here is too nice: obviously it must be a lie! I can sense they are planning to kill me, but when?! HOW?! I must be PREPARED!"
Sadly, he's been constantly berated by other demons, far more effective in destruction, status, cruelty and charisma. Alastor won't ever bother to remember him, Cherri always ones up him, and the Vs, the ones he admires to most, won't care less about him.
To the point that Vox sent him as a spy without the intention to save him if things were going to fail. Heck, he even openly tells him to die while calling him a failure.
So of course he's got reasons to have trust issues, or taking everything so seriously, being constantly reminded of what he can't accomplish. So he puts an air of grandure that may be very flamboyant, but is VERY frail.
But, if we have to be frank here, his biggest source of insecurities... is himself.
He has eyes on his tail (his softer, more vulnerable side, which is ironically made even MORE lieable to getting hurt because of how sensitive those organs are), and inside his hood, so he could look out better for danger when on alert mode.
Heck, even the mark on his hood kinda resembles one eye.
Problem is, when you see his hood folded, when he's at ease, neutral or sad, those are not looking at outside sources.
They're looking at him, at his back. A constant stare that happens everytime he lets his guard down and shows how vulnerable he is. A gaze that can sense all of his weakness, his struggles, his insecurities.
And it's all him.
Pentious constantly believes that his inferiority complex will fade away once he'll accomplish something grand that will make others accept him. But he is his biggest critic, his worst enemy: HE is the one who believes he's a failure, that he'll never gain approval from others.
This show takes place in Hell, but this is Sir Pentious' personal Hell: insecurity born out of self hatred. Doomed to feel everyone's gaze upon him, including his own. Believing the danger to his self esteem is from others, when it's really from him.
But then he's accepted at the Hazbin Hotel: Charlie forgives him, he bonds with Angel, Husk and Niffty who don't care a bit about what he's accomplished or not, or what he's done in the past.
He feels more comfortable in showing his vulnerable side, and no one judges him for how easy it is for him to get emotional.
Of course he's still very insecure, considering how he struggles to confess to Cherri, but notice how he stops building machines or planning to attack others as soon as he starts bonding with the others: he doesn't have a reason to destroy or attack, now that he knows he's loved.
And his final design, when he goes to Heaven, shows how much he's changed, yet stayed the same. He may have died a hero, but he's still the same awkward snake we've come to love.
Speaking of love, let's talk about that!
No more eyes on his tail, now it's just on his chest (showing he's opened his heart), his glasses are now heart shaped, and even the markings inside his hood resemble kiss marks more than anything else.
And look: the mark on his hood is now heart shaped!
Why all these hearts? Why did all the eyes disappeared from his body? Even his eyes that were looking at his back?
Simple: love. Love defeated his insecurities and self hatred. He died for love.
He died protecting his friends, his new family, his new home.
He confessed and kissed Cherri knowing full well he wouldn't have made it, and yet he went anyway.
The usually cowardly and timid Pentious actually faced a great danger with courage and determination: he acted selflessly by putting himself in harm's way, he didn't steal (naturally) and by going against Adam he did indeed "stick it to the man"!
He used his weaponry knowhow and battle experience not to conquer, but to save his loved ones.
His only thought up until his demise was: "I'll go down protecting them".
And he's been rewarded not only by becoming an angel, but also being spawned directly in front of Emily and Sera, two Seraphim, the highest rank for an angel to have, who have also been depicted as snakes of fire throughout history! Sir Pentious, the lowly demon considered a failure by everyone, actually has been noticed by the Seraphim! He's come so far!
He's now come to represent the REAL symbolism of a snake: the duality of death and rebirth, transformation and immortality (ironically a reference to the fact he's been around since 1888 without ever dying from any Extermination or blessed weapons).
And isn't so poetic that a snake, the "source of the original evil", was the first sinner to ascend to Heaven? Or that this episode was released on February 1st, or National Serpent Day?
And of course, as the Bible itself says:
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
(John 15:13)
And knowing him, I'm confident in saying he'll keep helping his friends even in his new position, like the soft hearted noodle he's always been, but was to afraid to show it up until now.

ok alphys was a character ahead of her time and too good for this damn fandom honestly. she isn't some evil gaslighting lying cringey manipulator who only exists as comic relief for the love of god look at her with eyes less poisoned by cynicism and irony. she is a love letter to... well, a lot of things. a love letter to "cringey" people, to video game fans, to people who try to drown their sadness in fiction. she's so achingly relatable to so many of us that it really feels like toby knows his demographic like the back of his hand. we've all met someone like alphys. maybe we are that someone- awkward, nerdy, can't get over their past mistakes, terrible at phone calls, far more eloquent online than in person, only wants to make people like them to distract them from the fact that they don't like themself. normally, this character archetype is the butt of a great deal of jokes- just a gross nerd who needs to touch grass. but alphys is different. she is, as i said, a love letter. she is one of the best-developed and most complex characters in the game. her nerdiness isn't "fixed" or mocked, it's celebrated. her unabashed love for her interests and her 100% attitude is a big reason why undyne loves her. games, especially in 2015 and before, are not often so genuinely kind to characters like alphys! and in deltarune, too- alphys is still a nerd, despite not being nearly as traumatized as her undertale counterpart. her rambling about shows she loves is a constant across all universes, a fundamental and important and good part of who she is.
and i just think that's very kind, and very important.
