𝙉𝙀𝙒𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙋𝙇𝙊𝙏 𝘽𝙐𝙉𝙉𝙄𝙀𝙎
Alright, since I realize I haven’t exactly been as active on here recently as I would like to have been, I thought I would attempt to make up for it by letting you guys in on some of the newest OC babies I’m planning on introducing soon. I hope you guys like these little tidbits, and (even though I don’t have any of their intro posts up yet), feel free to ask me whatever questions you’d like about them!!
BAILEY TAYLOR, GLEE:
Tumblr media
— Texas native who transfers to McKinley at the beginning of season two after her mother’s job is relocated to Lima.
— Generally your typical sweet Southern belle, but also fiercely independent and has a feisty streak.
— Well-set up to be popular when she first transfers, but quickly becomes an outcast after giving a tongue-lashing to some jocks after she watches them slushy Tina, so she joins New Directions.
— Generally sings country and pop music outside of the group numbers, but occasionally busts out a showtune (and does some country duets with Sam).
— Either a Tina or Santana ship, I haven’t quite decided yet.
CLARKE TALEB, TRIPLE FRONTIER:
Tumblr media
— Her story is set in kind of an AU post-canon after the boys recover the stolen money from the ravine, where Santi officially retires and they all move to the same town close to each other (and also where Frankie doesn’t have a baby and broke up with his girlfriend because I just. Can’t really deal with that).
— Quite literally bumps into Frankie at a bar (and spills her drink all over him) and very quickly becomes friends with all four of them.
— A total energetic and social ray of sunshine who’s very comfortable in her bisexuality and active in her local queer community, and helps the boys come to terms with their various non-straight identities.
— The main singer at a local burlesque club, and KILLS it as a performer.
— In a poly ship with all four former Delta Squad boys, who are all also dating each other (except for Will and Benny, obviously).
GRETA DWARF, DISNEY’S DESCENDANTS:
Tumblr media
— Daughter of Grumpy of the seven dwarves fame.
— Pretty much lives up to her father’s name; doesn’t put up with one bit of crap and is never afraid to speak her mind (which normally doesn’t make most people happy, but she doesn’t really like people anyway).
— Is definitely an outcast in Auradon and at school; the only people who actually talk to her at school outside of the teachers are Ben and her cousin Doug, who’s actually a little scared of her.
— Befriends Mal almost immediately after the VKs get to Auradon (they are truly kindred spirits) and decides to try and help them steal Fairy Godmother’s wand because she resents Auradon and how fake and falsely cherry it is.
— Doesn’t really lose her prickly streak by the time the Coronation rolls around, but does come to realize that not everyone in Auradon is so bad and she needs to let people in more.
— Definitely besties with Mal, but also strikes up unlikely friendships with Carlos and Lonnie (and kind of becomes Carlos and Jane’s unofficial protector since they’re both pretty quiet and she is. Not).
— Also an Evie ship because I simply have to give my beloved girl a girlfriend. <3
ISAAC HOLLIDAY, TWLIGHT:
Tumblr media
— A boyfriend for my bi king Charlie Swan. <3
— A tailor who runs a clothing shop in downtown Forks - Charlie constantly brings his uniform to his shop whenever it gets ripped.
— Definitely suspects the Cullens of being vampires but can never prove it until Charlie lets him know about Edward and this man just jumps up and shouts “I KNEW IT!”
— Sweet but fiercely loyal and protective Gryffinpuff king. <3
— Definitely acts as a non-Charlie adult confidant to Bella and is the best stepdad when he and Charlie finally get together.
— Also used to have a bit of a crush on Carlisle and still gets nervous around him even after getting together with Charlie because Carlisle is just. So pretty.
LUCY SCRUBB, INDIANA JONES:
Tumblr media
— A British archeologist working with American Army Intelligence who gets assigned with Indy to help him find the Ark of the Covenant.
— Kind of shy and socially awkward (mostly due to constantly being underestimated in her field for being a woman) but incredibly intelligent and observant and knows when to stand her ground and not take other people’s crap.
— (Also probably autistic, but, well, they didn’t really have the language for that back then. But she is.)
— An incredibly sweet and compassionate woman who would do anything to help people in need (but also tends to trust too easily, which is why Indy is good at balancing her out).
— Indy likes to call her Lou, and she pretends to hate it, but she secretly loves that he thinks enough of her to give her a cute nickname.
— A ship for the daring professor himself, obviously!
VIA WINCHESTER, SUPERNATURAL:
Tumblr media
— (Yes, I know Winchester sister OCs are overdone, I don’t even care.)
— Technically her first name is Olivia, but she doesn’t like it and prefers to go exclusively by Via.
— Sam and Dean’s half-sister, fifteen years old in the first season, who was born out of a three-night stand between John and her mother.
— John didn’t stick around, obviously, but he kept tabs on Via and her mother and when the woman was killed in a car accident shortly after Sam left for collage, he came and got her and started training her to be a hunter.
— Immediately loves her two older brothers and is fiercely loyal to and protective of them, but shares a closer bond with Dean since she’s spent more time with him.
— Doesn’t like John at all, however, both for essentially abandoning her and her mother and for trying to turn all his children into hunters rather than letting them have normal childhoods, which is a point of contention between her and Dean.
— Despite her anger towards John forcing his kids into early training, she loves being a hunter and has a particular affinity for taking down vampires.
— A badass baby lesbian (who not only knows Dean is bi WAY before they even meet Cas but takes one look at Sam the first time they meet and is like, “Well, this one’s not straight either”).
— Might not have a love interest, or I might make another OC to give her a girlfriend, I haven’t decided yet (I’ll probably wait until I get a little further into the series).
Alright, that’s it for my more immediately upcoming OCs!! Again, feel free to ask me any questions you want about my newest babies!!
Tagging some of my OC community besties: @dancingsunflowers-ocs, @luucypevensie, @carmens-garden, @endless-oc-creations.

Bursting into the room: Please tell me about your idol OCs!! What music do they do? What fashion styles? Who are your favorites? Do they have any fun interactions? Do you have more art of them?
auauauAAUUGHHHH 😭😭😭😭😭 THANK YOU FOR THISSS
Tumblr media
AHSJKDHASD idk how to talk about them !! in a normal way !! so ahhhh let me just try giving basic info about each group or smth
edit: this is so fucking LONG LMAOOO.... here is a link to all their TH (andromeda isn't done sorry), if u wish to skip my mad man blabbing altogether B)
Andromeda
my first idol ocs group, naturally was a llsif fan group love them with my entire heart despite the fact that i make content with them like once ten years, they live in my head all the damn time there are 9 of them, canonically they are the only ones who have the privilege of being "very fucking popular and successful" went from being school idols (SparkleS) with pretty typical cute/energetic concept, then debuted fr (Andromeda) and now their concept is more mature/elegant/cool
uhhh they are just wonderful girls who are all best friends and they are very cute and different and silleyyyyy and i am a horrible father bc i didn't make their TH profiles yet (THERE IS 9 OF THEM IT'S SO HARD) so here is their tag instead... ignore very old art tho 😔 also i have spotify playlist with songs i imagine they either would have or would cover - here
(also in my mind their concept/main vibe of their music kind of ever-changing, to me, they can do whatever they want at this point bc they are just so popular lol + they have units and such and i can get away with it) (they are overpowered yes yes)
Ishin-Denshin
5 members here,, they are my girl boy group or boy girl group <3 don't know how to explain it's just they are bg but the music inspo/concept is strictly what my fav girl groups i listen to got going on
total boys next door, just chill sweet guys, good vibes only fun fact all got like trauma/issues (tm) because i am certified sad boys maker, but they are all doing well and go to therapy LMAO
like Andromeda they all met in high school and started idol club together, but unlike the girlies they didn't mean to be proper idols, sorta got scouted later on anyways they are also besties, very tight-knit (trauma bonded?) and i also love them dearly they got their TH profiles, with bits of main lore and some info on their friendships - here their spotify playlist - eek
GRIMM parade
ah my funny crazy little theatre kids and vocaloid stans literally a combo of 3 quirky bitches who really love acting and dark dramatic stories
i think the most basic way to describe their vibes would be like Halloween + fairy tales? They are very extra and have like odd ways of speaking/interacting with people, but it's their charm (as per usual, very much full of brain issues, bc i gotta make my boys even a little sad)
their TH - here their spotify - here (way less songs bc it's stupidly hard to find smth i like for them)
cheer4U
literally fresh out of the oven i have nothing for themm asjkdhakdsda i gotta share tho: they are a co-ed group, and from what i have seen in life most groups give rap parts to men, but here it's boys being vocalists and girls being rappers(+vocalists), and idk how to explain but it is very fun to me, girls got all the swaggg
also a fun fact: one dude (michi) is hisoka's (andromeda) younger brother and one girlie (olly) is elijah's (pothos) younger sister
pothos
now that i mentioned them, even tho this is just about my idols i have to talk about everybody even a little pothos is a dance crew, so they are 4 dudes who make choreographies and despite my pattern of making best friends, these 4 are NOT asdjkhakjdhaskl, more like it’s 3 dudes who are friends with elijah but aren't close amongst each other
their TH - here
anison singers
just these two random soloists, with their own quirks they are dating LOL their TH - here
Urban Legends
my rock band heheeee they are just cool and awesome girlies, who make music about scary myths and folk stories their TH - here
__
re: fashion styles it either matches their concept, or if we are talking individually - it depends on each ocs LMAO re: my favorites andromeda are the blueprint, so they receive special treatment, but currently i am also crazy about Ishin-Denshin AND dince cheer4U are newborns i am focusing on establishing their personalities lol
re: do they have any fun interactions?
ok so idol groups all know each other for sure, pothos prolly interacted with them as well, but way less and more formal, soloists and urband legends def had only minor interactions IF they had those.
generally speaking, everyone in the company treat Andromeda like seniors/girlbosses (because they are) while cheer4U are now the youngest and newest group they are kinda babies to everyone Andromeda doesn't have very close relations to anyone (being popular doesn't help here), but they are considered like a proper sister group to Ishin-Denshin, due to some matching concept elements and being the 'foundation' of the company Andromeda and Ishin-Denshin def had their little collabs, specifically vocal-based, since both group got mad vocalists also important to point out that Ishin-Denshin are huge fans of Andromeda, like every single one of them loves them, they def have been following Andromeda since their school idol days and they are still not over the fact that they ended up in the same company
Ishin-Denshin and GRIMM parade are a bit closer, i think because they are the same age, and because Ryunosuke insisted they should be rivals LOL it didn't happen tho, because Ishin-Denshin are just sweeties, and were like "no thank you <3", so Ryunosuke settled on Ishin-Denshin being their supporters or smth anyways, they def hang out somewhat regularly, ofc each of GRIMM parade members is close to different Ishin-Denshin members i think main proper friendships i have are: Ryunosuke and Tadao (leaders and basically dads of their group... lowkey considering making them a couple ahaha...) Shouhei and Nobu+Kyo, Shouhei and Nobu are just besties who hang out a bunch, but two of them with Kyo had like a whole event of helping Shouhei deal with a nasty break up he had (Nobu had a shitty relationship too, while Kyo.. well... it's in his TH profile B) the point is Kyo and Nobu just helped Shouhei process things) Rokuro and Kyo - just hype boys who hype together
here is a fun meme you should laugh it's very funny (i have no one to share this with)
Tumblr media
i don't think i have any other ~full group~ relations so here's random canon connections i remember tsubaki (urban legends) is a fangirl of andromeda and specifically their triplers unit, def stans hana, mieko and shiori ryunosuke (grimm parade) and kaede (urban legends) totally get along due to their 'dramatic freak' agenda, witnessing them talking to each other has to be an Experience, because they 100% use most extra phrases and words LMAO elijah (pothos) is a huge fanboy of grimm parade and ryunosuke specifically kyo (ishindenshin), rokuro (grimm parade) and elijah (pothos) are also like 3 energetic funky boys who love dancing kyo, tadao (ishindenshin), axe, elijah (pothos), michi (cheer4U), hana (andromeda) and shinobu (urban legends) all love working out so i imagine they end up together in the gym every now and then also totally exlusive info, but im gonna couple up ichigo (cheer4U) and kyo (ishindenshin), as well as michi (cheer4U) and shouhei (grimm parade) B)
FUNNY THING... THIS IS LIKE NO INFORMATION AT ALL AHAHA.. TIP OF THE ICEBERG... I HAVE SO SO SO MUCH ABOUT EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL OC, LIKE THE STUFF THAT I DIDN'T HAVE SPACE/DESIRE TO WRITE ABOUT IN THEIR TH PROFILES... AUGH

No second chance for a first impression
Nov(emeto)ber 2022, Day 2: Hiding it (or at least trying to)
OCs: Calvin, Cassandra
This one's a bit of a slow burner. I'm often too impatient to draw out the nausea part, but the "desperately trying to hold it in" trope seemed so fitting for today's prompt.
TW: Vomit
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Sometimes, the unwritten laws of social behavior made the simplest things incredibly complicated. It was such a fine line between friendship and romance, easily crossed with a single step. But for some reason, it was commonly seen as the most drastic of changes. All of a sudden, there was so much more at stake and the shift in dynamic created a ripple effect, strong enough to tear an entire circle of friends apart.
And still – Calvin couldn’t deny that he liked Cassandra. Liked her in more than just a friendly way, and it only got worse over time. She was obviously gorgeous, but the real issue began after he got to know her better when she wasn’t with Natalia. Nat and Cas were high school besties – an unlikely friendship between the glamorous queen bee and the nerdy art fanatic. Maybe the obvious difference in popularity was the reason why Natalia’s personality rubbed off on Cassandra way more than the other way around.
Cassandra was strong, undoubtedly, but Calvin wondered if the in-your-face confidence and feisty attitude were acquired traits to hold her ground next to a natural born diva. It was exciting to discover her creative and quirky side. Her dreams and plans and favorite things. The countless craft projects she had started, but never finished. It was like pieces of a puzzle coming together until everything made sense.
If only there weren’t so many pitfalls if Calvin dared to make the first move. If Cassandra rejected him, their interactions would inevitably become awkward for all eternity. If she was ready to take the leap, but they would eventually break up, their friendship would be doomed. And no matter if their relationship worked out or not, it had the potential to shatter their friend group.
Long story short, Calvin wasn’t quite ready to go all in, but he still used every opportunity to spend time with Cassandra. So when she invited him to her little sister’s school performance, he was over the moon. Due to the limited number of seats in the auditorium, every family was only allowed to bring one friend, and Cas had chosen him – not Natalia, him. Calvin decided to dress for the occasion with a dark grey jacket, a petrol coloured sweater and black chinos.
A good first impression was especially important since the whole thing felt a bit too close to meeting his future in-laws for the first time. Calvin’s anticipation was soon overshadowed by increasing anxiety. As he finally arrived at their meeting point in front of the school, his stomach was in knots. It didn’t help that Cassandra looked absolutely stunning in her light blue dress with puffy sleeves, an empire waistline and a short, yet very voluminous skirt. Just in case she needed anything more than her unicorn hair to stand out from the crowd.
Doing his best to hide his nerves behind a smile, Calvin approached Cassandra and her family. Her parents were formally and modestly attired, a stark contrast to their daughter’s preferred clothing style. Calvin had worried that he might be overdressed, now he almost regretted not showing up in a complete suit.
„Hey, Cal, over here!“, Cassandra waved as she noticed him. „Mom, Dad, this is Calvin.“
„It’s so nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Petrakis“, Calvin greeted and shook their hands with a firm grip, hoping his palms wouldn’t be sticky. „Thank you for having me.“
„It’s a pleasure“, Cassandra’s mother replied. Her tone was polite, but it lacked cordiality.
„You look younger than I expected“, Mr. Petrakis remarked. Whatever that was supposed to mean. Calvin felt a drop of sweat running down his back.
„Oh, yes, I get carded all the time“, he laughed and scratched his head.
„Our daughter told us that you are a very responsible and hardworking young man.“ Mrs. Petrakis‘ facial expression was impossible to read, but for some reason, her seemingly kind words made Calvin even more uncomfortable. „We hope you can have a positive influence on our Cassandra. She seems to believe that a solid education is out of fashion.“
„Or a solid marriage“, Cassandra’s father added. Calvin felt a lump in his throat. His intuition hadn’t deceived him, this was uncomfortable as hell.
„…or maybe we could not have this conversation right now.“ Cassandra’s smile had turned from genuine to forced in record time. „Let’s go inside before the buffet is empty and the best seats are taken, shall we?“
„You can tell me more about your academic ambitions later“, Mr. Petrakis said and gave Calvin a pat on the shoulder. „Now let’s watch our beautiful Carissa sing. She even has a solo part.“
Calvin and Cassandra exchanged one last look before they followed her parents into the brightly lit school building.
-
The variety of savory, sweet (and rather greasy) treats looked enticing in theory, but Calvin wasn’t hungry at all. Maybe it was because his nerves hadn’t been given a chance to calm down yet. He grabbed one of the tuna sandwiches and a large cup of water, hoping no one would notice that he spent most of the time drinking instead of eating. The white bread was soggy and bland. Calvin was glad when they finally entered the auditorium and took their seats. Cassandra placed herself between Calvin and her parents.
„Sorry, I should have warned you“, she whispered into his ear.
„Nah, it’s fine.“ The last thing Calvin wanted was to make her feel even more embarrassed than she probably already was. If he ever wanted to be more than just a friend for Cassandra, he had to get along with her parents anyways. Problem was, he didn’t feel fine at all. The small triangle of toast he had consumed refused to settle in his stomach. He took the last sip of water from his cup, but that only made things worse. Maybe drinking so much hadn’t been a good idea. Calvin felt the liquid sloshing around in his belly, accompanied by a gurgling noise.
For a moment, Calvin thought about taking a trip to the restroom. But then again, the performance was about to begin and he really didn’t want to squeeze by Cassandra’s parents and the other people in their row. It would probably get better on its own if he just focused on deep breaths and tried to relax.
The big show started only moments later, validating Calvin’s decision not rush off to the toilet. He shifted around in his seat, trying to find a comfortable position. A stern‑looking lady on stage gave an overly long speech before the choir finally entered the spotlight. Cassandra nudged Calvin with her elbow and pointed at a girl with long black hair. Calvin nodded, hoping he hadn’t winced in pain. The slight push had hit him like a blade in the intestines, followed by a series of cramps.
Calvin placed a hand on his abdomen. There was definitely something going on beneath his palm – a constant bubbling and boiling under the bloated, sensitive surface. He felt queasy and began to doubt if it was actually just his anxiety.
At last, the choir broke into a rendition of Imagine, drowning out the angry growls Calvin’s stomach produced. But even though the students created beautiful harmonies, the strong sensory impression only fueled his nausea. Calvin clung to the mantra he repeated inside of his head – inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. It didn’t make him feel any better, but at least it gave him something to focus on.
Two songs later, things had only gotten worse. At this point, Calvin felt his shirt sticking to his back. Why did he have to wear so many layers anyways? He couldn’t tell if he was just warm or feverish. Another jab hit Calvin‘s side and he could barely hold back a moan. Fighting hard not to show any signs of his growing discomfort, Calvin leaned towards Cassandra as she brought her lips up to his ear.
„Next is Carissa’s solo.“ Her breath tickled as she spoke. Under different circumstances, it would have probably turned him on. Now it messed with his senses even more. He made a sound that resembled mhm, then stared at the stage again. His stomach heaved like an elevator, riding straight up towards his throat. To Calvin’s horror, it actually brought up a mouthful of warm fluid. He instantly swallowed it back down, but it left a bitter taste and a mean sting.
Calvin felt like the excess water inside of his belly was foaming as if he had ingested washing powder. There was no way he could leave right now, just before Carissa’s big performance. On the other hand, there was no doubt he would be banished forever from the Petrakis household if he ruined their beloved daughter’s solo by puking all over the guy in front of him. He had to hold it in, even though it seemed like a losing battle.
The sweet melody of Somewhere over the Rainbow filled the room. Carissa was illuminated by a single beam of light. Her voice was enchanting – clear, bright and innocent like that of an angel. Calvin took a peak at Cassandra and saw that tears welled in her eyes. She was often annoyed by her younger sister, but she still loved her. She was proud. Just thinking about her anger and disappointment if Calvin destroyed this special moment felt like punch in the gut.
Maybe it was the mental pressure on top of the nausea that caused his stomach to cramp again, sending up a surge of vomit. Calvin clamped his lips together and forced the foul tasting liquid back down. It caused his stomach to churn and twist even harder. The acidic taste of spoiled tuna made his mouth water for all the wrong reasons. No matter how often Calvin swallowed, the saliva would rapidly fill up again. His abdominal muscles wouldn’t stop tensing, determined to initiate the purging process.
Never had a song felt so much like an excrutiating eternity. Calvin’s breath had become shallow, he barely dared to move his body at all. When finally, the last note faded out and the audience gave a well-deserved applause, it took every bit of Calvin’s strength to share an enthusiastic smile with Cassandra. He knew that she expected some kind of glowing reaction, so he clapped and nodded and prayed internally that it looked like he had thoroughly enjoyed the show. Cassandra seemed to buy his act, probably due to the bad lighting.
There was no time for relief. The next song followed immediately, and so did another gush of sick. It flooded Calvin’s mouth and assaulted his tastebuds with the flavor of rotten fish. Swallowing suddenly seemed like a complicated exercise and he needed several attempts until he finally managed to choke down the regurgitated mess. He knew he wouldn’t be able to do it again. Standing up didn’t seem like a managable task either. The movement was probably enough to make his entire stomach contents burst out of him.
Calvin didn’t have much time to think of a rescue plan. His belly was fed up with his stubbornness and convulsed painfully. Now it was a much bigger wave that rushed up his esophagus. Out of sheer desperation, Calvin bent over like he was feeling for something on the floor. His cheeks bulged out, but he couldn’t clutch his mouth with a hand – he needed one to pretend he was fumbling around and the other one to reach for the cup he had emptied before. The only dam between him and the storm tide were his lips, pressed together as tightly as he could.
Careful not to make a suspicious movement, Calvin brought the cup to his mouth, begging that it was big enough to contain the flood. Then he finally parted his lips and let the vomit pour into the container. It wasn’t as much as he had feared, but he wasn’t done yet. Another stream of liquidy puke shot up his throat and it took all of Calvin’s body control to let it out with nothing but a muffled hck. The cup filled up quickly with milky fluid and shreds of tuna. Calvin knew that he had to stop now if he didn’t want to risk that his receptacle would overflow. Unfortunately, the stench of his own sick was enough to make him gag again. The fact that he was doubled over so much that his face was hidden between his legs, didn’t help either to fight the force of gravity.
With his eyes pressed shut, Calvin brought up a thicker mush of tuna paste and toast lumps. They plopped into the pool of vomit, causing it to rise even more and more, filling up his cup to the brim – but not enough to break the surface tension. Calvin took a few breaths through his mouth before he was certain that nothing else would come out of him. As carefully as humanly possible, he placed the barf cup under his seat and wiped his mouth. The nasty brewage had smelled absolutely sickening when it had been right under his nose, but since it was mostly water, he hoped that the odor wasn’t strong enough to alert his seat neighbors. Calvin braced himself before he casually sat up again.
The first thing he saw was Cassandra, staring at him with wide eyes.
She knew. She had noticed. Of course she had – it was an impossible mission to throw up discretely in a row of seats. Calvin’s cheeks radiated heat and he couldn’t bear to look at her any longer. He felt thoroughly defeated and humiliated. Wrapping his arms around his aching stomach, he sank further into his seat and waited for the nightmare to be over.
-
It didn’t take long for the nausea to creep up at Calvin again. There was a glimps of false hope when the last song ended, but then he still had to endure the exuberant applause, an encore, a closing speech and even more applause. When the show was finally over, Calvin’s stomach was at his throat. He had no idea how to face Cassandra or keep up the facade in front of her parents. All he wanted to do was to flee the scene, head home and curl up under his blanket for at least a week. On top of that, Calvin felt horribly guilty for leaving a brim-ful cup of puke for the unsuspecting cleaning crew, but now that the lights were on, he couldn’t pick it up without everyone noticing.
With legs that felt like pudding, Calvin trudged behind the overjoyed family. Mr. Petrakis couldn’t stop praising his daughter’s immaculate performance while his wife had to mention that Cassandra used to have quite a pleasant singing voice as well. When the parents were already heading towards the exit, Cassandra suddenly stopped.
„Can you guys wait outside for a minute? Nature’s calling and I gotta listen.“
„Sounds like a good idea.“ It was quite the challenge for Calvin not to chime in too quickly. If he looked anywhere near as awful as he felt, his attempts to keep up a happy face and a relaxed posture were destined for failure anyways. Gladly, Mr. and Mrs. Petrakis were still busy reveling in parental pride.
Cassandra grabbed Calvin’s wrist and pulled him along. To his surprise, she headed past the restrooms, down another corridor towards a flight of stairs.
„Uhm… haven’t we just missed the turnoff?“ It was supposed to come off as a joke, but Calvin’s voice sounded awfully strained. Walking made his stomach spiral out of control and it wasn’t long before he had to blow chunks again.
„Have you seen how crowded it is? Sorry, but I don’t think you’d make it if you had to wait in line. Plus, there’s no way I could sneak in with you unnoticed.“
„Wait… why would you do that?“ Calvin paused as climbing the stairs only fueled his inner turmoil. He simply didn’t dare to keep his mouth open. A sickly groan formed back in his gullet as his belly spasmed again.
„Why wouldn’t I? You’re sick. Obviously. Would be kinda shitty to leave you alone like this.“ Once they had reached the second floor, Cassandra steered Calvin towards a small niche with three garbage cans. „Here we are. Go ahead and lose the rest of your lunch. The other restrooms are locked at night, so you don’t have much of an option.“
„But… someone will have to clean it up… I feel bad enough for the barf cup under my seat.“
„Don’t worry so much. There’s a trash bag inside, they can just dump the whole thing.“ Cassandra pushed him towards the large buckets, then put her hand on his back to bend him over. Calvin sighed and gave in. The idea of throwing up in the open made him feel exposed and vulnerable, even though no one but Cas was around. However, it was definitely better than hurling all over the floor. As soon as Calvin brought his head closer to the containter, intense nausea exploded in his stomach. He jerked forward and retched sorely.
„Come on, get out the poison.“ Cassandra slapped him between the shoulders, forcing out an even more violent, yet still unproductive heave. Suddenly, Calvin felt Cassandra’s breath on his cheek. Her soft lips were so close that they almost touched his skin. Her long lashes tickled his jawbone. Then she whispered with a low, sensual voice: „Seafood platter.“
Calvin’s stomach lurched instantly and projectiled a massive wave of puke out of his mouth and nose. The trash bag crackled as it was weight down by the copious amount of liquid. Cassandra stayed close to Calvin, firmly rubbing his back.
„There you go“, she soothed him. „Vomit it up, babe.“
It was the first time Cassandra had called him babe, but Calvin didn’t have much time to rejoice. He coughed harshly as a thick mass crawled up his throat and slipped over his tongue. Calvin cringed in disgust as spongy chunks of bread plunged into the lake of sick below him. With his arched back convulsing against Cassandra’s palm, Calvin gagged until he brought up watery bile, clinging to his lips and nostrils in long, slimy strands. He continued to dry heave and spit until his stomach finally realized that it was empty.
„Fuck… I’m so sorry“, he panted, hands braced on his knees.
„What are you apologizing for?“ Cassandra dug out a packet of tissues from her bag. „Can you turn your head a little so I can wipe your face?“
She carefully cleaned away the stubborn strings and stains, then she let Calvin blow his nose. He couldn’t hold back a retch when he felt soft chunks coming out of his nostrils.
„Hope I didn’t spoil the evening for you“, Calvin rasped and straightened himself.
„Don’t be ridiculous. That super secret tactical chunder was impressive as hell. You didn’t spill a single drop. Even though I’m pretty sure no one would have judged you if you just went to the restroom instead.“
„I didn’t want any of you to notice.“ Calvin’s head felt even warmer than before. Good thing that his dark skin made it harder to tell when he blushed. „You know, this was my only chance at a first impression and…  y’all were so thrilled when your sis had her solo, I didn’t want to ruin the moment. And then it was too late.“
„You know what?“ Cassandra’s lips quirked up only the slightest bit. She wrapped her arms around Calvin, careful not to squeeze him too tightly. „That’s actually super sweet.“
Calvin’s heartbeat accelerated, but this time it wasn’t caused by nausea. Her touch and her closeness were both comforting and exciting. He wished he could take Cassandra home and cuddle up with her in bed until he felt better. If only her parent’s weren’t waiting outside.
„Thanks for, you know, taking care of me.“
„No biggie. I would have probably puked as well if your parents greeted me like this.“ She smirked and looked up at him. With the height difference between them, Calvin could have easily rested his chin on top of her head. „Come on, let’s tell mom and dad that you have to cram for a big exam. Best way to get away quickly and impress them with your dedication.“
„Sounds like a plan.“ Calvin was still shaky on his legs, but with Cassandra’s hand holding on to his own, it was a lot more tolerable. Maybe the outcome had been worth all of his efforts.

On Words and Meaning
So I've been thinking a lot about how Loki is being discussed and the words used, particularly by Hiddleston, given his bent for using literary language in his descriptions. There are three words I want to touch on in this little post, one of them definitely rooted in his usage.
So the first I want to touch on is the term "romance." We've heard (often from Hiddleston), that Loki is, at heart, a romance. I think there's a dimension of the discussion missing in these conversations in that is important to consider.
To the layman, a romance is simply a love story, sometimes with a sexual undertone. But in the literary sense, a romance is a much deeper genre. I want to consider that this layer may also be present in Hiddleston's intent on using the term in describing the story arc. It certainly is in mine, as someone with a fascination with literary form and also with an English degree who has spent way too much time exploring genre.
So firstly, we need to define "romance." From literaryterms.net:
I. What is Romance?
In the strictest academic terms, a romance is a narrative genre in literature that involves a mysterious, adventurous, or spiritual story line where the focus is on a quest that involves bravery and strong values, not always a love interest. However, modern definitions of romance also include stories that have a relationship issue as the main focus.
II. Examples of Romance
In the academic sense, an example of a romance is a story in which the main character is a hero who must conquer various challenges as part of a quest. Each challenge could be its own story and can be taken out of the overall story without harming the plot.
Example 1
A knight who wishes to prove himself by recovering a stolen heirloom from an enemy may find himself attempting to make his way through a dangerous wood filled with thieves.
Once he has accomplished this challenge, he may find himself climbing a tall mountain on which a group of people are in trouble. He would save the group somehow, and then move on.
Then the final stage: the enemy’s kingdom. There may be a fair maiden whom he meets and somehow helps or rescues, or perhaps she helps him.
But the fair maiden is not the focus of the story – his quest is the focus. Each story can be taken out, yet each builds the hero’s strength to face his final quest. These stories tend to be serious rather than humorous and touch on strong values.
In considering this, I've thought about Loki's arc as a quest that does, indeed, involve the discovery and exploration of strong values with a three part quest, though I don't think the quests entirely stand on their own. The overarching theme is about Loki discovering his sense of self- his quest to become a full person, not just a trope for the universe to exploit so others can reach their better selves. I divide the show up in to three quests. The first, in episodes 1 and 2, is Loki finding a sense of purpose in the new world- his quest is to discover who this new variant is and where they are hiding. This is resolved by the end of that second episode. The second arc takes place in the next two episodes- Loki discovering his empathy for others is the continuation of the overarching personal development plot, while his quest is to discover Sylvie's goals and to uncover/share the truth behind the TVA. And in our third section, episodes 5 and 6, we get the culmination of the personal growth arc in his ultimate discovery of different facets of himself (illuminated by the different elements of self shown in the multitude of variant Lokis) while the quest is to uncover who is in control of the Sacred Timeline and why. The differences in colour palettes, settings, tones, etc. between the three episode pairings is a part of how I started to distinguish my thoughts on each. And regardless of the visual distinctions, I most definitely see the entire arc as exploring strong values and bravery, though the bravery is multi-layered, showing not only the visible bravery of facing down an apocalypse, Alioth, etc., but the internal bravery of challenging one's self and digging deep into discovering who one really is. This is a theme of queerness that I see lingering in this series- discovering who we are is a process, not an outcome.
I think that this definition of a romance, in the classical sense, is a little oversimplified, as there is often a theme of discovery of self or improvement of self along the way. In a Gothic romance, themes of "the people are the real monsters" come into play (Crimson Peak is an excellent example of this)- there may be elements of the supernatural, but the real thing of which the viewer/reader should be afraid is the person behind the curtain. Gothic romances also often do include a love story arc, but it is often deeply flawed on some level and often also includes some sort of sexual or romantic awakening, often by a female lead, that leads to the discovery of whatever darker is taking place (Crimson Peak turns this on its head in that it is Thomas' awakening with Edith that leads to his turning point and Edith's realization that the Sharpe siblings are the monsters, not the ghosts in the hall). The themes of discovery of self, or of the fortitude of moral values, or of the journey of a person's development, play into both a Gothic romance and its foundations in a classical romance.
So. There's part 1 of this ramble.
On to part 2!
The next word I want to examine is the term "relationship" and its companion, "love." Now, mind you, I come at this from a queer perspective as a demisexual, demiromantic individual, so these two words are ones I've spent a LOT of time pondering, in the quest to define my own identity.
We've heard the term "relationship" tossed around so often with only a romantic implication attached, but in truth, this word is so much more broad than this. You are in a relationship with your barber. You are in a relationship with your cat. You are in a relationship with a spiritual advisor, a professor, your best friend, your partner. Just because it is so heavily used in this way doesn't mean the relationship is only an intimate one (though intimate relationships are also not inherently sexual or romantic in nature, either, so let's remember this as well). Now if we break down what a relationship is, it's just a consistent interaction with someone based on some common interest or goal. It's a remarkably benign word. Its connotations, however, take it in a multitude of directions.
So let's look at it through the lens of an intimate relationship and add in the component of love. We'll start with just a blanket statement that love is not only one single thing. It isn't just romantic. It is our family, our friends, our pets, pie, the colour blue, that feeling of perfection when the waves of a warm lake brush over your calves...love is embedded in the experiences of these things. We love them. Love it as vast and broad as relationships. We love places, people, things, and experiences. We love ourselves (or we try to learn to).
In my world, through my particular brand of queerness, love changes in intimate relationships on a regular basis. I love my partner dearly. But on some days, that love is to my best friend, while other days, it is a romantic love and on others, sexual expression may be involved, but they may overlap in different ways. Sexual expression is independent of romantic attraction and the degree of each isn't tied together in any way. If we can separate these things, I think we can see the relationships in our everyday lives in different lights and with greater complexity.
I also think that looking at these things through the lens of diverse sexual and romantic experiences can inform how we interpret the Loki x Sylvie pairing and why some of us just aren't bothered by it (though certainly not the only reason people aren't).
We've been told Loki loves Sylvie. That much is beautifully clear. But love (and being in a relationship) doesn't automatically mean that 1) both parties are experiencing it in the same way, 2) both parties have the same approach or priorities, 3) the level of romance is necessarily the same between the people involved, 4) that sexual attraction exists at all.
Sometimes a kiss is a form of communication and not tied to the want to shag someone.
So this is where my interpretation of this particular pairing comes into play. I do see the story as a romance, in the classical sense, but also with a slight streak of the more modern sense involved. The focus is still on the quest, even when the love story emerges. And that is where I see the priorities of these characters and their definitions of the relationship differing and I analyze it through these different dimensions of love and relationship orientations.
Loki actually embodies one of the traits I've seen listed for demisexuals- we hold our friendships extremely close and because we hold our friendships the way we do, it isn't uncommon for us to end up with crushes on our best friends (and no, they don't generally develop into other forms of relationships, but they could). This is the phase in which I see Loki by episode 6. He has formed this intense bond, unlike any other it seems he's had, and his heart is breaking over the thought of losing her to her own rage. All he wants is for her to be OK, remember? This isn't a selfish action. But I think it is significant that while he tries to stop her, he's not the one who initiates the kiss. All his actions here are ones that a close friend would also do for their best friend. Like, I'd try to stop my besties from inadvertently destroying the universe. I'd even throw down over it. And for the exact same reasons- the risks are too great, we need to think, and I want them to be OK. Almost everything Loki does throughout his growing closeness to Sylvie is something I'd do for one of the people I've told I'd defend- as in, I literally told some of these people, "anybody messes with you, I'll cut a bitch- just tell me who and I'm there."
So because of all this, I don't see this relationship as sexual in any way. Romantic? Possibly. But not necessarily. Even being in love with one another doesn't mean a relationship has to have a sexual component.
Looking at Sylvie, I see her also as having found companionship with Loki, but her overriding goal is, ultimately, not to bond with someone- it's her mission. And she has sacrificed her entire life because of the TVA to this mission. She tells him repeatedly, in one way or another, that the mission comes first. Yes, she does care about him, but I don't think the way she cares about him is the same as the way he cares about her because they have differing priorities and needs (and hence why she feels betrayed by him when he tries to stop her). Or at least she hasn't allowed herself to express that. When she falls to the ground after she's killed He Who Remains, I think we get a glimpse of what Loki meant to her- she is alone, she grieves, and there is no meaning left to her story. She's done what she dedicated her entire life to and the person who could have given it other meaning is no longer beside her.
I still don't think that the first thing they would do upon seeing each other is suck face and have wild sex. Would that bother me? No, not really. I can headcanon something different than what actually happens, I'm fine with that (just look at all this glorious headcanoning happening right here!) I'd like it to stay a romantic friendship (queer platonic relationships for the win- they're squishes!) because I don't think we hardly ever see those types of relationships and queer platonic relationships are incredibly beautiful and powerful and yes, based on love and maybe even romance, in their own way. They are defined by the people in them, as are all relationships.
And now to address "but she kissed him!"
Yes, she did. And I've kissed my partner when there wasn't romance involved because I wanted to share a moment, to express something deeper than I had words for (yes, even on one of my aromantic leaning days), or just because it's fun. And it doesn't have to "match" up with how the other partner feels it, either, so long as the message itself is what comes across. This is how I read the Sylvie x Loki kiss. It was a message of worthiness. Loki's entire arc, including in that scene, is in discovering if he's anyone different than the monster he's made himself out to be (and encouraged others to see him as). He tells Sylvie that he can't be trusted, falling back on the habit of characterizing himself as the professional liar, the one who can't form those attachments which are built on trust. He also identifies her as someone incapable of trust in that moment, which I think is also a projection of how he sees himself. He tells Mobius he can only trust himself and the show slowly shows Loki coming to trust others, but in this moment in the Citadel, he's falling back on a different perception of himself.
This is where the kiss comes in, for me. Sylvie isn't trying to tell him she'd jump him right then and there, if things were different. Sylvie is trying to tell him that she does trust him, that he can be trusted, and that he is worthy of the affection of a friend, even if she can't have him in her way. She is prioritizing her mission, yes, but not without giving him some sort of reassurance, in her own way, that this rejection isn't personal. That he isn't too broken to be loved. It doesn't have to go into romance (not saying it couldn't, just saying it isn't a requirement). It doesn't have to go into sexual relationship territory.
Maybe I see this so vastly differently because of my experiences exploring gender, sexuality, and romantic orientation. Maybe I see this so differently because at this stage in my life, I would absolutely kiss a friend if I felt something so heavy was going to break them. I have a friend I say "I love you" to every time we talk on the phone or video chat- we've been together for 20 years. I've got photo proof of a snuggle pile of friends when I was a young adult. I've shared a bed with a friend with no reason other than that we didn't want to sleep on the floor and why not. I've had friendships that were awkward to start and intense once they got going that are absolutely still important in my life. I've had crushes on friends that have faded and just shown me another dimension of what it is to love someone. I've watched adults who struggle to make connections to other people discover those moments of awkward "how do I do friend mode?" and come out stronger for them, with that huge sense of victory hidden behind a small smile they don't want to share with anyone else quite yet.
I see so much possibility in how we interpret a television show reduced to "it's a romance and that's sick and incest and he wants to fuck himself!" and it just saddens me that so many people have such a limited understanding and experience of the depth and breadth of human relationships and of how people love one another.

hello arthur!! tbh people are being terrible in your inbox and the last ask killed my brain cells so this is your free bingo card to talk about anything you like. also sometimes googling sharks with human teeth (exactly what it sounds like) helps!! much love <3
oh my gosh I’m OBSESSED with these photos they’re so cute!!!! and thank you for the bingo card Effie I appreciate it so much. I’m gonna rant about Deadly Class (a show I definitely don’t like and thus don’t run a fan blog for....smh) bc it’s on my mind and it looks like it’s just going to go quietly into that good night instead of being made fun of and dissected and I think that should change bc goodness gracious that show does not deserve a dignified death. also I’m gonna put this rant under a readmore bc this is gonna be long and it has nothing to do w atla. warnings for discussions of racism, callous mentions of murder and death, swearing, discussion of Nazis, discussion of gore, abuse ment
Okay so for those not in the know (which is probably everyone considering the show was on Syfy and it’s being canceled due to low viewership) Deadly Class is a teen murder drama set in the late ‘80s starring Lana Condor, which makes it sound like it was engineered in a lab to appeal to me. Literally my friend and I were in the middle of watching Schitt’s Creek, which I adore, and she was like “well I heard about this show called Deadly Class” and described it and I was like fuck Schitt’s Creek we’re watching this. It had a 64% on Rotten Tomatoes, which usually makes me nervous, but I was literally like “I don’t care because I know I’m going to love it.”
And well. I did not love it.
I truly do not understand how one fucks up “teenagers (mostly) of color go to murder boarding school in the late ‘80s” that bad (I mean the Russo brothers are involved and they fuck up everything they touch so perhaps it was just that). I haven’t read the comic the show is based on but it does appear that a *lot* of the issues of the show stem from the comic, which is...disappointing. Basically, our MC, Marcus, starts off the show homeless after his group home burned down (and it’s heavily implied that he was the one to do it) and gets hunted down by these elite teenage murderers who invite them to their murder school.
Already, numerous problems are starting to show themselves. First of all, Marcus is Latino, which, yes, it’s very cool that the MC is Latino, except he is literally the white-passingest man I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’ve seen my dad. I didn’t realize that he was Latino until they showed his extremely stupid backstory in a shitty animated sequence and whoever was voicing his dad did this really, really thick Nicaraguan accent and I was like wait a damn minute. So then, I looked it up, and the guy playing Marcus is named Benjamin Wadsworth, which immediately made me think that they had pulled a Noah Centineo and made me think this fully white actor was half Latino (and yes, Latinos can be white, but I think Marcus is supposed to be a nonwhite Latino, and I thought Benjamin Wadsworth was both white and non-Latino). But you know, as an light skinned ethnically ambiguous mixed kid myself, I thought I owed it to him to dig a little deeper, and turns out our pal Ben is mixed (also, he’s like six months older than me and married, which is a trip). And like, okay, I guess I’m glad they didn’t get a white non-Latino man to play a Latino character, but they literally got the whitest looking Latino they could think of to play him. He originally auditioned for Billy. Billy’s the token white. And the producers were like “wait you have Latino ancestry?” (how they found that out I don’t fucking know) and let him go for Marcus. And like. Okay. The character in the comics is light-skinned but he does not look white, and Benjamin is not a good enough actor for them to just pass on the actors who surely auditioned for that role and were more visibly Latino but like. Okay, I guess.
Second of all, this show is mega racist and it starts to reveal itself when you look at how the murder kids are styled in literally their first appearance. What struck me the most was the fact that the Latina (whose name is fucking Maria, for heaven’s sake) was wearing a sexy red dress and Day of the Dead makeup, which, I’m sorry, huh? That just so happens to be the Mexican girl’s murder outfit? I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and speculate that maybe she wears it to like, subvert people’s expectations, but at this point idk how this is subverting anyone’s expectations nor why she’d be so invested in that. Also, she’s supposed to be a teenager. It’s fucked up to sexualize any of your child characters but it really hits different when it’s your Latina character (and yeah, I know the actress playing Maria isn’t a teenager, but still, it’s the principle of the thing). And then of course, the Black guy, Willie (no he’s not related to Billy they were just like yeah two guys with rhyming names in our main cast sounds legit) is a gangbanger dude who talks the way that white people think Black people talk. I keep waiting for this guy to have one line that’s not complete garbage, but I’m five episodes deep and so far nada, which sucks so bad because there’s like, kernels of an interesting character buried in this horrible racist trope. Also, they had him sleep with a N*zi. I hate it here. Lana Condor (her character’s name is Saya) gets off fairly okay, at least in this first shot (they don’t have her wearing a kimono to go murder people, thank fuck), but the way she behaves is super weird, like kinda flirty towards Marcus, kinda badass but not enough to actually do anything, etc. Billy’s white so they couldn’t make him a racist caricature or anything but I have no idea why he’s here. See, instead of talking about the real politics of the real world, Deadly Class makes up fake prejudice that honestly makes the lok bender/nonbender bullshit look sensible. Maria, Willie, and Saya are Legacies, which means that their families are established murderers (fun fact: the N*zi girl is also a Legacy, because her father murdered hundreds of civil rights activists. And the characters of color align themselves with her. I don’t understand.) Billy, and later Marcus when he decides to go to murder school, are Rats, meaning they have no affiliation with established murder groups. So, in this show, the people of color have privilege over the (mostly white) Rats. Make it make sense. Further, this means that Maria, Saya, and Willie should have absolutely no reason to hang out with Billy, and yet they do because the Russo brothers have heard that the kids these days like the found family trope, so they put five unlikely friends in a room together and insinuated that they could all be besties. I swear, this show is the La Croix of found family tho, in that there is absolutely no flavor whatsoever. None of the characters develop into a found family. Saya is bound to care for Marcus for reasons, Maria is using him, Willie is also using him, and Billy is only his friend because they’re both Rats. Saya and Maria are already friends (and honestly their friendship is the most compelling thing in the whole show). There are no other connections between the characters. But they’re totes a found family!!!!/s
Also, they don’t let Saya be mean. Every character says “oh Saya’s such a bitch” but do we ever see Saya being a bitch??? No! Saya is literally just a nice girl who is kinda quiet sometimes and murders people and has a tragic backstory. There’s an argument to be made for Maria being more bitchy than her tbh. And like, fine, if you want Saya to be nice, she can be nice, but stop telling me she’s mean then!!! If you’re gonna tell me that I’m gonna get to see mean Lana Condor in a leather jacket in this show then deliver bitch.
There’s truly so much more I could talk about (Chico??? What the fuck is Chico’s arc???? What in the actual hell were they thinking when they were writing anything to do with Chico????? my DUDES WHAT IN THE SAM HELL. also making Billy straight was so fucking stupid he’s literally gay come on now, also Master Lin is so fucking useless what is he even doing here) but instead I’m going to outline the version of Deadly Class my friend and I have been talking about while we watch the inferior real Deadly Class.
lots of things are the same actually because there are some elements of the show that have potential. Marcus is still homeless at the beginning, everybody still thinks he burned down the group home but he didn’t, Willie is still a pacifist, he and Marcus are still partners for their first murder school assignment, Saya’s mean (but like actually), Billy still has green hair and is the token white of the group (although a Billy of color.....thinking), and they all hate Reagan
in an ideal world Willie and Maria would have different names (Willie bc his name rhymes with Billy’s and that’s fucking stupid, also Willie is just a terrible name in general, Maria partially because it sounds way too similar to Marcus and I don’t understand why the guy who wrote this couldn’t make his characters have different sounding names, and partially because no Latina character of mine is going to be named fucking Maria), but for the purposes of this outline I’ll keep their names the same for clarity.
Marcus doesn’t initially have his rep. He’s on the streets when he sees a girl his age (Saya) come out of this elevator in the back of a restaurant brandishing a sword, and decides to go into the elevator, sees the stash of weapons, and decides to steal one so he can fend for himself better.
also keeping the detail of Rory murdering a bunch of homeless kids, but now Marcus knows that Rory is actively hunting him down.
in the process of robbing the school’s weapons collection, Marcus figures out that it’s a murder school
Master Lin catches Marcus robbing the school, they fight, Master Lin overpowers Marcus and ties him up. He says the weapons are for students only, and Marcus says he’s applying. Lin asks what his qualifications are, and Marcus says “you know that group home that burned down three months ago? all the kids that died? I started the fire.”
(also no shade to Benjamin Wadsworth but in this version he is not playing Marcus. Marcus is not white-passing)
Master Lin initially doesn’t believe him, but Marcus presses on and eventually convinces Master Lin that this is really what happened, and so Lin welcomes him to murder school.
Marcus’s first class is Poisons, and his lab partner is Billy, who takes a shine to him and shows him around school. There’s no Legacy/Rat nonsense, but you do have normal high school drama adapted slightly for murder school. Maria is the prettiest and most popular girl in school, Saya is the mean girl/valedictorian, Willie is the jock, and Billy’s the punky weirdo.
Marcus is, of course, the new kid with a reputation to live up to.
Things kind of fall apart when Willie and Marcus are paired up for an assignment: to seek revenge on somebody.
also Willie’s backstory is extremely different. his dad was a Black Panther, and he was murdered by the FBI when Willie was a kid. distraught, his mom moved to Texas, where she started working a corporate job and rose really high in the ranks. To maintain her status in the company, she had to do some really horrible things, including working with the FBI to take down other civil rights activists. Willie found out about this and was absolutely horrified. his mother insisted she was doing this so that he could have a better life, but he refused to listen to her, and ran away, and ended up at murder school.
Willie got into murder school because Lin knows who his mom is, and assumes that Willie is just as cutthroat as she is. he gains a reputation as well.
also, Willie’s extremely wealthy, and this shows in the way he dresses (preppy jock vibes)
you don’t find out about this backstory for a minute tho bc unlike Albert Kim and the Russo Brothers, I can wait until the right opportunity presents itself for a backstory drop.
ok anyway back to what I was saying earlier
they have to seek revenge on somebody. Marcus asks Willie if there’s anybody he wants revenge on, and Willie very sincerely says no. Marcus scoffs at him and says he’s clearly had a very easy life, to which Willie replies, “Well, who do you want revenge on?”
Marcus immediately says, “Rory.”
So they track Rory down, and since Marcus hasn’t actually killed anybody, he hands the weapons over to Willie. Willie frowns and says that he has nothing against this dude he’s never met before, so Marcus should be the one to hurt him. Marcus says that this is a group project and Willie’s got to pull his weight, and they get into an argument
the argument gets loud, and Rory hears them fighting and starts chasing them.
in the midst of the chase, both of them divulge their secrets to one another. Willie laughs hysterically and says that they deserve each other bc they both lied to get where they are, and now they’re going to die because of it
Rory backs them into a corner, and Marcus uses one of the swords he tried to steal earlier to shank Rory
They throw the body in a dumpster, and after this, they’re friends, and Marcus decides he’ll fit right in at murder school.
ok so that was only one episode but things to look forward to in the version of Deadly Class that only exists in me and my friend’s heads: Marcus dealing with the emotional and moral fallout of his first murder, Willie trying to figure out what it means to be a pacifist in a world so hellbent on doing violence towards him, Saya being mean to everyone except Maria, Maria convincing Saya to relax and have fun, the gang bonding in a Breakfast Club style situation adapted for murder school and making a joke about how this is like the Breakfast Club because it’s the 80s and the movie just came out, Saya and Maria falling in lesbians, Marcus and Saya being depressing edgelord besties, Billy being gay and fighting his abusive father, Marcus and Billy being uncool weirdo bffs, Willie and Maria rolling their eyes at Marcus and Saya’s cynicism, Billy coming out to Marcus and talking about his experiences being gay, which makes Marcus think “hang on, why do I relate to that?”, Willie seeing Marcus make a sarcastic comment about kissing a guy and having a crisis, Marcus and Willie falling in love, the gang taking a road trip to Vegas to murder Billy’s dad and giving Billy a gnc thrift store makeover on the way, and eventually the gang murdering the shit out of Ronald Reagan.

Wanted Connections !!
here’s a list of some wanted connections i’d really like! i’ll likely add more since i made this during my lunch break from work/meetings. all of these are open to all genders except her bandmates/groupmates wc since it’s a girl group!
Friendship/Platonic
nothing else matters like us - her groupmates/bandmates. you can find other info on the wanted connections page on the main. still don’t have a name for her girl group yet but basically she’s known these girls since they were all little kids. none of them grew up rich or famous and before they were celebrities, they were best friends. it was luna’s idea to start the band and they’ve been through a lot together since, breaking records and barriers in the industry. they are the hottest girl group in the world. they’ve been dropping albums since they were teens and together for seven years now. they each do some of their own small projects on the side but have since remained dedicated to the group. despite rumors of disbandment and doubts that they would even make it this far, they’ve absolutely thrived. luna considers them her sisters and she works hard to make sure they’re constantly doing their best and staying at the top of their game. they’re currently working on their 5th studio album. there’s one fact that’s been worrying her recently: they made a pact that if one of them ever wanted to leave/go completely solo, they would end the group altogether so as never to hold one another back.
so true, bestie - while she considers her bandmates to be her first/childhood friends and sisters, this person just...gets luna. they’re super close and just click. maybe they even live together or share an apartment, not ‘cause they need the money but just ‘cause they like being roomies and don’t like having a giant place to themselves. they confide in one another, look out for one another, and stick up for one another. and they’re also not afraid to tell eachother how it is.
you’re my celebrity - someone who’s newer in the industry and isn’t as big that either is a fan of luna’s or looks up to her in some way and doesn’t know as much about the industry. she’s been in it since she was a teen and is more than happy to take them under her wing. they struck up a friendship like that and both learn and grow in it.
you make me make bad decisions - party pals, chaos cousins, double trouble--whatever you wanna call it, when these two get together, hijinx ensues. something about this character makes luna wanna get a lil wild, ‘cause a lil trouble, kick ass and take names. nothing super super crazy but definitely more fun than most people expect from the likes of luna song.
Romantic/Sexual
i’ve been in love with you for ages - ( inspired by Me & You Together song by the 1975 ) they’ve known eachother since luna was first starting out in the industry (maybe even longer) and they were really close friends, doing everything together talking about whatever, whenever, and they just...have always clicked. luna realized she was falling first and let your character know and for whatever reason, maybe because they were still in love with someone else or in denial or w/e they rejected her--said they didn’t like her like that. they were able to move past it and still be close friends but now, your character’s gotten their head out of their ass, have looked up and seen...her. that it was her and it’s always been her but...they don’t know how to tell luna. or if she’ll even feel the same now. but that doesn’t stop them from pining, flirting, maybe even getting a lil jealous when she’s spotted with other people. will they work up the courage to tell her how they really feel?
i hate your guts // i just wanna f*ck - it’s a well-known hollywood public secret that these two cannot be in the same room together without biting eachother’s heads off. argument after argument that neither refuses to lose, this person is everything luna hates about hollywood and, well, humanity. until they figured out there is one way they can stand to be in a room together for more than five minutes--as long as they’re naked. one time could be written off as a drunken mistake. twice as a momentary lapse of judgement but at this point...luna would be mortified if anyone knew the amount of times, and the amount of things, they’ve done together. but that doesn’t stop her with replying with “come through” at every “you up” text. ( could turn romantic or could just be strictly sexual )
that moment when you see your fake-ex in public - your character was pretty prolific to have struck up a fake romance with luna. she does her best to make smart career moves and she was a really good fake gf--kept her affection professional, creative with the set-up of romantic public gestures, rightfully outraged when the paparazzi caught “private” moments of them. the reason for their fake break-up was mutually decided upon and no one was the wiser. maybe they stayed good friends afterward or maybe they’re just people who see one another, take quick pics at events, and brush elbows casually.
the ex-files - actual exes that luna had real relationships with. maybe luna wasn’t serious, maybe they weren’t. maybe it was amicable, maybe it was fraught. maybe they couldn’t get their act together enough to be luna’s one or maybe they just couldn’t believe in themselves the way luna believed in them. maybe it was a mistake they were together, maybe it was a mistake they broke up. basically any type of exes plotline where they were dating and now they’re not.
Other
the lost notebook - ( inspired by dash & lily, stuck in the suburbs ) luna’s notebook she takes everywhere with her. it’s where she jots down all the ideas and imaginings of her head when she’s inspired on the go, be it song lyrics, poetry, thoughts, quotes she likes, or observations she thinks could be useful in her creative process. she likes the tangibility of writing them in an actual notebook and the fact that she hasn’t lost it before now is nothing short of miracle. except...her luck seems to have run out. she lost her notebook and freaking out is an understatement. your character is the one who finds it, though they have no idea it belongs to her. maybe she left a phone number or secret email in the front to trace it or maybe she re-traces her steps and your character has left it back where they found it albeit with a note or challenge of some sort. but regardless, they end up striking up an unlikely relationship via the notebook (or more likely a new notebook they use just for that purpose ‘cause bby girl poured her soul into this one). neither still knows who the other is. maybe they trade thoughts/ideas or lyrics back and forth or maybe they trade different dares or challenges but they really seem to be getting on. only problem is, they don’t technically know who one another is and they both do and don’t want to find out--if they do, maybe they can actually get to know one another but...it could also ruin everything ( this could turn romantic or just be platonic )
50k for a verse, no album out - basically your character and luna are either currently or were previously working together professionally. this could be her writing one or a few of their songs, them being featured on one of her band’s albums or working to be featured on their current one, her being featured on their single or album, or even her ( or her and her bandmates ) guest starring in one of their movies or shows. they could even be writing a cute lil duet or something together.
this city ain’t big enough for the both of us - rivals. tbh luna can’t stand them and she finds their mere existence so offensive that she’s not above getting petty about it, because girl can be competitive. maybe they were co-stars or collaborators whose relationship went south or maybe it was hate at first sight and the edges of their personalities just rub wrong. or maybe they used to be good friends but something happened and that got wrecked.

can anybody find me somebody to love?
Just a College AU where Gina gets a silly idea, Amy acts on her feelings and Jake is having the best birthday ever.
(This little thing wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for Adele @b99peraltiago who got me into the College AU mood, so thank you 💕)
read on ao3
Jake doesn’t know what to expect as Rosa leads him towards Gina’s apartment. All he knows is that there’s supposed to be a birthday “surprise” party. Not the party alone being the surprise rather the arrangement of it.
Rosa’s been quiet on their way there, giving Jake the chance to talk and joke as much as he desired. But as they enter the building at the address 397 Barton Street she finally breaks her silence.
“Before we go in I want you to know it was all Gina’s idea and most of us was against it, but she made us do it anyway. You have now 3 seconds to decide whether you want or not to know what this surprise is.”
Jake doesn’t need to think twice, if it’s a Gina concept it’s better to be prepared for it, so he nods prompting Diaz to continue.
“Gina thinks you’re still not over Sophia and that you need a new bone to forget about all this crap.”
“But that’s ridiculous. We broke up over six months ago.”
“I know this. But Gina’s convinced there’s something holding you back from getting into a new relationship.”
Jake involuntarily pictures wavy long black hair, a challenging look given by the prettiest eyes on earth, a smirk and a binder under an armpit. It’s the strangest thing to think there’s something holding him back.
“Gina made every one of us to bring a girl who hypothetically could become your girlfriend.”
Even though Jake’s a bit revolted by this idea he feels warmth spreading in his chest, knowing Gina cares so much.
“Everyone? You?” Rosa nods. “Terry? Charles?”
“Yup. Boyle’s the only one who loves this idea. And Terry got into a dangerous competition with Gina about finding you the perfect girl.”
“Amy too?” The sudden nervousness that overflows him is rather unwelcome and Jake’s thankful he didn’t stutter.
Rosa hesitates for a moment, giving him a weird look.
“Yeah, but she asked me to bring around two girls in case she didn’t find the time to get someone. She’s apparently very into keeping her position of the head of that stupid club of hers.”
“Math paradoxes enthusiasts or Typing masters?” Jake’s genuinely interested, knowing both of the clubs are very important to his friend and that she wouldn’t give them up without a fight.
“I don’t know. I don’t care.”
Jake smiles sadly. It’s very like Amy not to be willing to participate in such a silly activity. In fact, he also doubts the ethical issues concerning such event but decides to ignore his moral concerns and try enjoying his party. But he can’t fight the feeling of disappointment or hurt even, knowing Amy’s so neutral when it comes to the matters of his heart.
“But she was very opposed to Gina’s idea.” Jake gets a feeling Rosa is trying to tell him something with the way the gaze softens, but he really doesn’t get the hidden meaning behind her words. “She said that if you wanted a girlfriend you’d have one.”
“Well, Amy does know me.” Jake grins widely, Rosa’s words cheering him up a bit.
And it is true except for the tiny little issue of him not being able to find the guts to ask out his best friend for months now.
“Ready for this mess of a party?” Rosa asks, putting her hand on the door knob to Gina’s apartment looking expectantly at her friend.
“Bring it on.”
Two hours after Jake’s arrival he has already gulped down enough beer to participate in this childish “courtship-game” Linetti has prepared for him and talk to both of Rosa’s friends. One of them was Katie, who turned out to be just as private and mysterious as Rosa, if not more. She was scary and crept Jake out. The second girl’s name was Stella and they did not hit it off. She’s a car mechanic and let just say they had some differences regarding Jake’s precious mustang (her saying that this model is way to overrated and not keeping up to her engine standards crossed her out of the list immediately).
Now being even more sceptical of Gina’s idea than before, he squeezes through the tiny crowd that has formed since the party took off to get to Amy and Charles, who stand by the window talking boisterously about something.
“Charles wouldn’t tell me who his mysterious girl is.” She pouts and crosses her arms on her chest, as she gives Jake her complaint about Charles, the moment he joins them.
“Told you, Amy, this is the real surprise at this party. It’s like a cherry on top, you’ll see.”
Boyle’s eyes are sparkling with mirth and his cheeks are red from the excitement and Amy looks like she doesn’t appreciate the mischievous glint in his eye.
“Truth be told I’m more afraid as to what Terry and Gina have prepared for me.”
At the begging of his birthday party Amy has spilled some beans to him about the preparations for this event. Apparently, out of nowhere Gina and Terry got into an argument as to who is a better matchmaker, Linetti claiming she knows all the angles of one’s soul and the secret of love when Jefferson was declaring over and over again that “Terry loves love!”, which was supposed to convince everybody of his skills in this field.
And both of them haven’t even arrive at the party yet. And it’s held at Gina’s apartment for God’s sake! It’s only natural for Jake to be worried of what’s to come.
“Blinded by their own rivalry, they won’t even expect it when it hits them who the real king if matchmaking is!” Boyle’s dreamy voice brings Jake out of his reverie.
“Easy Napoleon. It’s not settled I’m gonna leave this party with a girl. Maybe I’m just not interested.”
“Oh, but you will. And with the girl I have for you!”
“Has she even arrived yet, Charles?” Amy’s squinting her eyes at Boyle and Jake notices she’s wearing some make up. She looks very nice tonight and Jake wonders if he’d cross some boundaries telling her so.
Charles doesn’t get to answer Amy’s question because suddenly a big noise at the door catches everyone’s attention. There is a big group of women and a few men barging through the door followed by Terry and Gina shouting insults at each other.
“Wow” is all Amy is able to choke out seeing the scene.
“Yeah wow.” Charles follows wearing a shocked look on his face.
“Do I need to do this? I really don’t want to.” Jake runs his hand down his face in an exasperated manner but then Gina gets to them, grabs him by his collar and pulls him harshly towards the group yelling something about them being flexible foxes and Jake being the one who’ll put an end to “Terrance’s nonsense”.
Amy never gets her answer as Charles follows Jake and Gina in long strides trying to keep up. A heavy sigh leaves Amy, watching her friends leaving. She needs a drink.
So she goes over to the table full of different alcohols and pours herself a solid portion of the liquid to a plastic cup, not really caring she’s not supposed to do that. She flops on the chair next to it and pouts.
(There is a simple reason for Amy’s indignation. Amy Santiago likes rivalry, yes. Everybody knows that. But it doesn’t mean she likes competition. And the most frustrating thing - a competition in a thing nobody knows she’s considering participating in. But she doesn’t like the competition anyway.)
Deep in her thoughts, Amy doesn’t notice Rosa, who comes up to her from behind, startling her.
“Why so blue?”
All Amy does is grunt quietly in a very unladylike way.
From the corner of her eye she sees Rosa looking in the direction Amy’s looking, which is Jake making a polite conversation with one of the girls. Diaz snorts nasally in order to probably mock Santiago.
“Is this about Jake?”
Amy grunts once again, earning herself a defeated sigh from the other Latina. She grabs the other chair and sits on it with it’s back to the front.
“Listen, Santiago. This is the only advice you’re gonna get from me this year. And the advice is… go get him, girl.”
Amy only hopes Rosa buys the false look of surprise she’s trying to master on her face.
“I don’t… I’m not…”
How naive of her.
“Cut the crap. It’s obvious you want him. If you have feelings for Peralta - do something about it, if not - don’t give him false hope. Either way - just make an effort.”
Rosa’s words make Amy think. Think about the beginnings of their friendship, about the last few months she’s spend pining for her best friend, all their banters turning more and more flirty every day and the way they get nervous whenever they have a physical contact (ugh, that greeting hug today was so awkward, Amy winces internally at the single memory of it). And she realizes it shouldn’t continue like this.
Diaz is right. She needs to do something.
“Thanks, Rosa. Why are you being nice to me? Are we best friends now?” Amy smirks, knowing she hit a soft spot of Rosa and can’t help but tease.
“No, you two make me wanna puke, that’s why.” If Amy didn’t know better, she’d probably get scared by the nasty grimace that appeared on Rosa’s face, but now she knows it’s just an act.
“Sure, bestie.”
“Anyway, I’m going to save Jake from this conversation, he doesn’t seem to be interested anyway. Unlike me.”
But Amy doesn’t pay attention any more, buried deep in her thoughts, trying to work out the best way to confess to her best friend.
Oh, if she only had a laptop and two spare hours.
“Hey.”
Jake turns around surprised to hear Amy’s voice up here on the roof.
“Hi.” The smile just pops up his face without him realizing it. “What are you doing up here?”
“Caught you sneaking out. Don’t you enjoy the party?” Amy gasps, mocking an astounding expression.
“Got a bit overwhelmed.” She chuckles and comes near him, eventually standing right in front of him. Jake can feel the hem of her flowery dress tickling his leg in a light touch. He’s sitting on a piece of ledge, so they’re eyes are on the same level. He gets lost in them just a little bit.
“Those people Terry and Gina brought over are definitely something.” Amy gives him an amused smile and his stomach makes a flip. “But I don’t think any of them is right for me. To be honest, I’m not a fan of Gina’s idea.”
“Charles is pretty certain of his choice. He wouldn’t stop bragging about it on our way here.”
“Wait, you came here with Charles?”
“Yeah, I found it weird at first when he showed up at my dorm insisting I come with him…”
Her eyes widen in shock as the realization hits her. Jake’s grin widens even more, he got it the moment Amy said she came to this party with Charles.
“Oh. my. God. I am the girl Charles brought over.”
Amy starts to breathe rapidly, probably trying to calm down her nerves (and maybe the horde of butterflies having a party of their own in her belly at the sight of the softest gaze Jake’s giving her and the most adorable smirk).
Jake looks her deeply in the eye, trying to guess what is on her mind right now and whether she’s freaking out about it for the same reason he is.
It’s been way too long for them to acknowledge their true feelings, hiding behind that “we’re friends and we’re afraid to lose it” cliche and Jake is just tired of it, so he decides to push on the matter.
“So… do you maybe think Charles has been right being so cocky about it?” He drops his gaze to his fingers which are fiddling now nervously, afraid he’s just a second away from being rejected by the only girl that matters.
“He seemed pretty sure about it.” His head shots up just to see her getting closer, so close she stands now between his legs and he feels her scent overflowing his nostrils. He can also feel his insides jumping up and down in anticipation. He may be imagining things, but he’s pretty sure that what he sees in Amy’s eyes right at that moment is determination. “I guess there is just one way to find out.”
He can’t help the smile that’s tugging at the corner of his lips as she puts her hands around his neck, pulling him closer in a bold move, he wouldn’t expect from her. Not that he needed any more of an invitation.
At first the touch is very light, them getting used to the sensation of kissing their best friend. But then Jake moves his lips not being able to hold back any longer, Amy’s fingers grip his hair at the base of his neck and he feels his own palms being drawn to her waist, pulling her even closer.
They’ve been jumping around each other for way too long for this to be an innocent kiss.
He sighs at the slightest touch of her tongue on his upper lip and she takes that as an invitation for her to explore further. With Amy’s body pressed to his, her placed between his legs resting her palms on his thighs and her soft lips moving against his own Jake thinks he’s the happiest man on earth right now.
He has no idea how long have they been melting into each other as they finally part to take a few deep breaths. The sight of Amy being out of breath because of him, with pink cheeks because of him and a bit swollen lips because of him makes him lean into her once again to give her a kiss a bit more chaste than their first one.
She seems a bit surprised by the gesture at first but soon reciprocates it and he places his palm on her cheek. They part again after few seconds but Jake’s hand stays in place caressing her skin with his thumb.
“So, looks like Charles was right after all.” He manages to gasp out, surprised how hoarse his own voice sounds.
She giggles, no longer flustered, more giddy now and he joins her in the laughter. The happiness bubbling in his chest is unstoppable and he’s not about to fight it since it’s only natural for him to feel this way after kissing his dream girl for the first time, after wishing for it to happen for so long.
“Yeah.”
He pulls her into a hug, placing his head into the crook of her neck, breathing in her scent. This beats any other birthday he’s ever had.
Eventually he pulls away reluctantly, already with a mischievous idea in mind.
“Wanna mess up with their heads a little?”
The only answer he gets is a smug smirk on her face and nod of her head and it’s the only one he needs.
“Jake, where have you been? I’ve been looking for you all over the place!”
The moment Jake steps back into Gina’s apartment, he hears Charles’ troubled voice. He came down there alone, agreeing he and Amy would come in separately in order for their little prank to work.
“Never mind, the important thing is you’re here. Gina, Terry, Rosa, come closer, so I can finally introduce Jake to girl he’s gonna walk out of this door tonight!”
Charles starts to turn his head around in panic, as if looking for something (or someone rather) and Jake waits just the right amount of time for the rest of his friends to approach to drop the bomb.
“Oh, it’s okay Charles. I already found the right girl for me.”
This may not be the best idea to play with his friend’s feelings like that, Jake muses, seeing the color fading out of Boyle’s face.
“What?…” It barely comes out of Charles’ mouth, as he puts a hand on his chest and tries to even his breathing. “But that’s not how it was supposed-”
“Hey, what’s going on here?” Amy interrupts, sneaking on Jake from behind, but he doesn’t mind, turning to her already with a goofy grin plastered on his face.
“Just me giving Charles a heart attack.” He says, leaning in to give Amy a casual peck on the lips.
It’s just for the act, it’s not like they’re going to put on a show for everybody.
But the simple gesture makes wonders, as Jake hears whistles from a far corner of the room, a loud gasp coming from Gina and Terry, snickering sound from Rosa and a thump.
Jake feels awful for making Boyle faint, but he knows he’ll forgive him.
And he’ll be happy seeing Jake shooting Amy a dopey smile, as he sneaks an arm around her waist and she stands on her toes to give him a kiss.
Jake is so deep in his haze, having his dream girl in his arms, he almost doesn’t pay attention to Gina claiming she won against Terry, explaining to him the credit goes to her, as she was the one to throw Jake this party, or Rosa, who passing him by with a girl, he met earlier, pats him on the shoulder, shooting him a smirk.
Well, it’s an unarguable fact now.
Best. Birthday. Ever.

“Are you sure you really, REALLY, can’t come? Please?” You begged, perching on the edge of your best friend’s bed, all dressed up in your Halloween costume. It was unusual for you to be so adamant about something, especially when it compromised on your friends’ health. Your actions sickened you to your stomach but the desperation was overpowering it. Yoo Seonho brushed his ruffed up hair out of his eyes, he was wrapped up in about twenty blankets yet he was still shivering - the fever was really eating him alive. His tired eyes met your own and you knew your answer. “I’m sorry Y/N. I’ll have to miss,” he croaked, throat sore from all the coughing. You nodded understandingly, sighing at your own stupidity. Seonho was already so sick yet you were being so insistent. The guilt washed over you like the way models washed their faces in facial cleansing commercials. “I’m sorry,” you apologised with sincerity. “I shouldn’t have pressured you so much.” Luckily, your best friend was a kind and forgiving type of guy. He brushed it off with a wave of his weak arm while muttering, “I know I know. You must feel outcasted now. I’m sorry about that. Never worry, my sickness will clear in a few days.” “How did you even get sick? I thought the supernatural never succumb to ‘minor illnesses you mortals suffer from’?” You teased, clasping his hand and running your thumb over it calmingly. Seonho was a vampire. A young vampire to be more specific. He was part of the 101, and a vampire who held a high rank and command despite being a juvenile - it scared some elders at times, really. Growing up with him, you had no qualms hanging out with a supernatural. In fact, you enjoyed basking in his presence more than some other humans. He kept you safe, cared for you and always made you feel warm. There were bound to be times when his powers were much more prominent. Like when a couple of families went on a ‘neighbourhood trip’ to the beach and he was the only kid sweating in his hoodie. At the time, he was too young to take potions of any sort, unlike his family who blended in like any other mortal. Regardless, you loved your best friend to death and beyond. Back to the present, you glanced at the clock and groaned when it read 6.26pm, it was nearly time for you to go. “Hey,” Seonho said, forcing a smile and showing off his gleaming fangs. “I guess some of us vampires do get affected but I’m sure this is something more -“ he paused to let out coughs. You quickly brought a glass of warm water sitting on his bedside table to his lips. “Thanks. Don’t worry bestie, I’ll be fine but I have to miss W1’s party, I’m sorry. You go have fun, okay? I’ll make sure my hyungs take good care of you.” Inhaling deeply, you let go of Seonho’s hand and stepped away from his bed. “Oh! By the way, I left your care pack over here.” You gestured to the bag that was packed with a pot of homemade soup, a bunch of cute sticky-notes which you hand wrote cute messages and you could never forget the packs of plasma juice in there. You did attempt to head to The Middleman - a popular blood bank among 101 members - but it was just too nauseating for a mere human, even if you grew up surrounded by vampires. Your ears picked up the sounds of the doorbell and the voice of a few people, mellow and low. “I’ll see you soon, Y/N. That must be Kenta hyung and Sanggyun hyung. My chick costume can wait another year,” Seonho whispered before his eyes fluttered shut. “Rest well. I’ll be back.”
Takada Kenta and Kim Sanggyun seemed to be cheerful, lively friends of Seonho. You learned were in a subunit of 101 called JBJ, comprising of six members, the seventh was in discussion. “So, Y/N, what’s your costume for tonight?” Sanggyun asked, giving you a once over. He seemed to be dressed as…well, a stereotypical vampire, the kind you would see in movies Completed with a necktie and even dyed hair, your look for the night was inspired by BTS’ V from ‘Boy In Luv’. It was not the most obvious look though. Donghan scoffed teasingly. “Can’t you see. I’m sure it’s BTS Boy In Luv music video concept kind of thing,” he said, fanboy instincts kicking in. Donghan seemed to be rocking a half-face themed costume, there was a part of his face made up to look like muscular tissues. Hyunbin, who was seated in the front seat of the car looked up from his phone sulkily. “Donghan stole my costume idea.” “Yeah, you’re dressed as Joker and Taehyun hyung is Batman, be grateful. Uh, Yongguk is…a cat,” Kenta spoke up. “I guess I’m back to Teentop’s fanboy.” Kim Yongguk rearranged his cat ears hairband, frowning slightly. “Hyung, you never changed.” “Yah, guys, did you hear? Lai Guanlin flew in from Taiwan just for this party. I’m excited to see him again,” Noh Taehyun mentioned, turning the car around a corner and stopping outside a huge house. Correction: a mansion. 101 headquarters were no joke, you gaped in awe of the building that was filling up with guests and bursting with life. “Wanna One, the highest ranked members and pretty much the ones that get our shit together live here,” Hyunbin stated, sipping from a box of plasma fruit juice. “Take care of Y/N, guys. We need to look out for them.” “Lai Guanlin’s back, I’m sure everyone must be rejoicing. I need to get my Supreme hoodie back from him,” Sanggyun piped up, tossing his plasma juice box into the trash can as the seven of you stepped into the driveway. Lai Guanlin? “Oh! Y/N, Guanlin performed Boy In Luv at his high school showcase in Taiwan. He would know your costume for sure.” Yongguk led the way to the main door, pushing it open. You gulped, feeling the beads of sweat already starting to form in eagerness to meet whoever your new friends were talking about, partially the anxiety of entering your first Halloween party without Seonho.
Lai Guanlin was not someone to blend into the crowd and his own party was no exception. He stuck out from the sea of faces like a model, like a handsome prince among common folk. He was the youngest of the Wanna One clique, however, he was definitely not one you would want to overlook. Guanlin looked menacing, eyes burning with flames deep within but in reality, he was probably one of the nicest vampires to ever live. Also one of the most powerful. It radiated from him, he was surrounded by an aura that made you want to hang your head, it was just too domineering. You tried to smile as you greeted him, just like the JBJ vamps, but they were his friends and you were a complete stranger. Better still, there was no vampire genetics coursing through your veins. Great, you thought anxiously. I stick out like a sore thumb. “Guanlin, please introduce yourself to new guests too,” Jisung instructed in a caring, motherly tone. His costume looked like an official Superman outfit he probably spent an arm and leg on. Guanlin held out a hand for you to shake, showing off his polished fangs and blood-red lips. “Hello, I’m Guanlin.” The deepness of his raspy voice sent shivers down your spine. Despite how scary he seemed, the fire that lined his eyes was one that only aimed to provide warmth on a cold day. You wanted to hold onto his soft palms forever even if they read a temperature much lower than your own - though, you had gotten used to the colder skin after the many years of clinging onto Seonho - and even if his longer, sharper nails did dig into your thin skin a little. Speaking of thin skin, Guanlin’s heightened sense of smell plucked out your scent from the hundreds of different fragrances, meaning he could also identify the sweet blood of yours. It was a real pain to prevent his eyes from glowing lucid red. “Here,” Jihoon hissed, slipping him a packet of plasma fruit. “Control yourself.” Guanlin nodded, although it was hard to take his hyung seriously when Jihoon was dressed in a pink sausage costume. He was the one who decided the duo needed to take their friendship to the next level. Guanlin was unsure as to whether Woojin and Jihoon were strengthening their bond or tearing it apart. “We’ll see you guys around. I think I see Jonghyun hyung over there.” Hyunbin started in the direction of the older boy whom he was very fond of. The rest of his friends began to head the same way, spotting some of their friends. “Hey V,” Guanlin called out just before you followed your group. “I like your costume.” His lips curved into a smirk as he brought the straw of the juice box closer to them. They seemed plush and velvety, almost beckoning for you to kiss them. But under it’s welcoming exterior disguised a set of lethal fangs you knew you needed to watch out for.
Illuminated jack-o-lanterns lined the edge of the deserted balcony in a more quiet area of the Wanna One mansion. Chirps of crickets filled the silence, it sounded like a melody to you, to keep you in check, to make sure you were not drunk on soda. The whole evening, you had felt like extra baggage accompanying the boys, like an unneeded third-wheel. You introduced yourself to a handful of their friends but it was awkward being one of the only humans in that space. A human with few supernatural connections, unlike the rest. Sure, Kim Chungha and Choi Yoojung did their best to make you feel more welcomed but the fish out of the water feeling stuck to you like glue. So, finding the most believable excuse you could muster, you slipped off to the balcony to enjoy the night view peacefully, sipping ‘eyeball punch’ from your solo cup. Guess tonight really is a solo night. It’s so different without Seonho around. I hope he’s feeling better. Seonho was not the only person who plagued your mind in that moment, a Wanna One vampire by the name of Guanlin also occupied a significant amount of your thoughts. He was just so handsome, so charming, so intriguing. You desired to learn more about the mysterious vampire yet you were too afraid. Oh goodness, cue eye roll at your ridiculous thoughts. You were just sharing drinks with I.O.I vampires and you’re worried about others? Get yourself together, they’re all the same, no one can harm you. Autumn winds brushed by your sensitive skin, the cold cutting through even the fabric of your long sleeved button down. Yes, you were shuddering slightly but it was not enough to blow you back to the party scene. “The moon’s out tonight.” whatagoodconversationstarter A husky voice muttered, it’s owner moving to stand beside you, pressing his hands on the railings. Your heart began to beat faster, pumping more blood around your circulatory system - probably a bad idea around supernatural creatures. However, Guanlin was more in control than you thought, he had an array of powers mastered. “Um, yeah. It is,” your reply was barely audible to human ears but Guanlin heard your words crystal clear.  [ stan CLC you will never regret ] “You’re friends with Yoo Seonho, aren’t you?” He shifted in his spot, still looking up to the pitch black night sky. “Yeah, best friends.” You fought hard to keep your cool, ignoring the redness that filtered to your face and the irregular thumping of your heart. Guanlin let out a chuckle, bringing his cup to his lips for a sip of whatever his choice drink was. “Ahh, his heart is like a reed but we have a blood brother bond.” A smile appeared on your face just thinking about Seonho’s hobby of collecting hyungs. “I heard he’s targeting Hwang Minhyun now. He clings to me in school but right after, I know he’s bugging Minhyun,” you tell Guanlin and the two of you have a good laugh over it. After, a comforting silence fills the gap between both your figures. “Here,” Guanlin says as he shrugs off his suit jacket and drapes it over your shoulders. When you meet his eyes, mouth agape, he flushes pink. “I uh, noticed you were shivering quite a bit.” It was true. You could not tell if your face was coloured from the cold or if it was just you acting up around him. “No! Wouldn’t you be freezing?” You blurt out without giving it much thought. Your words elicit an amused laugh from the supernaturally handsome boy. “You’re so cute you know.” Ah yes, my embarrassment must be pretty freaking adorable. “Don’t worry about me. I thrive in the cold, it’s fine,” Guanlin assured, taking a step closer to you. “What’s your costume anyway?” His outfit was one that posed difficulty to decipher. It looked like he lived in suits, he should, he carried them well. “I’m dressed as Wooseok hyung from Pentagon,” he declared proudly, beaming like a true fanboy. “Why are you out here? The party is downstairs.” “Needed some air. It isn’t easy being one of the few without supernatural traits down there,” you revealed the simple reason. “Oh.” He took a step away from you, exhaling sharply while squeezing his eyes shut. “Sorry then.” “No! I-It’s fine! I’m okay!” You added urgently, a dreadful feeling bubbling in the pit of your stomach. “That’s not what I meant! I-I-“ To your surprise, the vampire just laughed and slipped closer, elbows nearly brushing. “I know, I know. It isn’t easy being around us but if you can put up with Seonho, I’m sure you can deal with me,” he joked, pointing out Seonho’s unquenchable thirst. “Oh come on, give him a break he’s just a child. But, he does finish an entire carton comprising of 24 boxes of plasma fruit juice whenever I’m around.” It was fun teasing your best friend with his blood bonded brother when he was absent. You just prayed he would not find out. Guanlin nearly doubled over in laughter, it was clearly his first time of hearing the extent of Seonho’s habits, they probably came as a shock as one box of plasma fruit juice was enough to keep a vampire full for at least a few hours “I don’t blame him though,” he mused, almost cautiously. You reached to tuck a stray lock of your hair behind your ear, exposing more of your prominent collarbones - again, probably a terrible idea in front of a creature that feasted on the substance flowing under your paper-thin skin. You did not realise Guanlin’s eyes starting to tint red, how he gripped the railing until his knuckles paled, or how he swallowed hard and tried not to allow his gaze to linger on your neck. He cleared his throat and took another swig of his drink. To him, you were a gift delivered right to his doorstep, especially with his jacket on you. You were sweet, funny and accepting, he was really drawn to you, as a person and not just because you had something he depended on for survival. Guanlin’s tongue swiped over his bottom lip, he was sick of plasma fruit juice but he would never drink from his friends. Besides, he liked the colour coordinated straws that blood bags from The Middleman came with. “Oh? Why don’t you?” Your honey-coated voice drew him out of whatever trance he was in. He hummed in response, changing his posture to lean his back against the railing such that your eyes had to lock. The vivid supernatural glow that bore into your eyes caused your breath to catch in your throat. “Because, sweetheart.” Every syllable that fell from his lips made butterflies roar to life inside of you. Sweetheart - such a loving term - was no exception. Additionally, there was no escaping his alluring scrutiny, redness underlying his orbs but you knew he had himself in check. “You,” he paused to draw closer, such that only your ears could hear his whispers. “are absolutely delicious.” With a smug smile tugging at his lips, Guanlin spun away, raising his glass for a toast before slipping back into the room. You were stunned that he left you so abruptly and so flustered, the feeling of his mouth pressed to your earlobes still very fresh. His pointy fangs hardly caressed them but they were very real, and very close to you indeed. It annoyed you that Guanlin had just disappeared like that but unbeknownst to you, if he stayed just a couple of seconds longer, you would have become his next snack. After that ‘incident’, that particular Pentagon fan was on your mind. You also really had to return his suit jacket, the material most likely cost your entire life savings. He wouldn’t have really bit me? Would he? Thoughts like those raced through your mind as you scoured the mansion for Guanlin. There was no way you were leaving the party without knowing if he would. You figured like any other vampire, instinct would probably overpower them and they would dip their fingers to have a taste, a nibble. Rumour has it that he has a lethal pair of fangs, one of the keenest. What if he actually did feed on me? Would it sting like hell? No worries though, if it was you, Guanlin would not hesitate if he got consent. He would bite, but for you, very gently, painless like a minuscule needle prick.

Bnha for the 1 and komahina for the 2!
001 | bnha
Favorite character: kacchan!! i havent gotten around in bnha lately but hes still my number one angry sonLeast Favorite character: the grape pervert i forgot the name, monota? mineta?5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): i dont srsly ship any of these but i enjoy some like kiribaku (yebc of u) momojirou is cute!! todomomo dekuraka (tfw ur str8) and tododeku Character I find most attractive: hatsume and momo!! also /sweaty/ midnightCharacter I would marry: maybe momo i adore her a lot Character I would be best friends with: uraraka!!! the sweetest summer child. id rly love to be in their group tbh iida (?) and deku are cool tooA random thought: i need to relearn their names and catch up. i stopped reading at ch 69 (yes i did that in purpose so i can remember)An unpopular opinion: hmm not rly i dont even know whats popular or not My canon OTP: is there one? hm nahNon-canon OTP: nahMost badass character: iwant kendou itsuka to kick me and step on me and make me her personal punching bagPairing I am not a fan of: teachers/teachers and don’t ever tell me teacher/students existsCharacter I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): i still don’t rly know yet !Favourite friendship: are deku and kacchan’s mom besties or was that just a hc? if not then for the main trio and momojirou
002 | komahina
when or if I started shipping it. my thoughts: okay so i think i’ve known them since 2013, i was a lurker and had seen stuff of them. i even had a bad impression of them bc said materials let me saw the “fanon komahina” with crazy stalker ko x tsun maso hinata so i stayed away as much as possible from that order (till now tbh it scarred me). then dr3 happened ! i invested a lot of time while dr3 was airing to get to know them and spoiled myself to the majority of sdr2, i was in denial in that period tbh bc i was dissatisfied with their rship in sdr2 bc of the lack of closure and how i believed hinata won’t ever return komaeda’s feelings (as how i put it before when i still didnt know better) it’s almost hilarious i was in denial i ship them while i read their top fics in ao3, 100k word fics included, every night then wake up and tell the world nope! i dont ship them! then it just happened, the denial decreased, i started to read more abt sdr2, followed ppl and read their thoughts about komahina, kibou hen already ended, occasional rts (spams) their art in twitter then before i knew it, i never expected myself to like komahina but im in here deep
What makes me happy about them: how do i even start… i had to sort through my memory bc almost all of their canon interactions make me sad. ok first thing i love how one’s smile has impact to the other, of how hinata thinks ko’s smile is calming and drives his worries away and how painful it was for komaeda to remember hinata’s that implies to weigh equally as his death in sdr2.5 ( this is sad and not happy wtf ) hinata wanting to understand komaeda, komaeda feeling serenity when he’s with hinata, the dangan island scenes!! the ridiculous ones with “i don’t mind if you want to see me naked”, hinata taking komaeda to a carousel, komaeda being nervous around hinata when he noticed they’re alone, hinata never expressed disgust or called ko “creepy” in canon unlike the others where he thinks komaeda being confusing. and hinata reaching out to take komaeda’s hand twice in sdr2.5
What makes me sad about them: everything in sdr2 wtf? one, there’s so many unsaid things between them in canon, like komaeda saying less about his feelings when there’s more to it, him lying about lying about his condition in his last fte and hinata’s confused and frustrated over that? he didn’t know which are true or not and he simply can’t figure it out alone. komaeda and their hostile situation are definitely not helping. also where he shrugs off thoughts that could lead him understanding komaeda’s true feelings as “overthinking” especially in chapter 5. but in the end of his fte, hinata acknowledges he feels a mysterious bond with him which is true, of how they look after each other in a way after everything and other else.
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: i back off before i start to read those i think are gonna annoy me but i hate myself and i still checked so here are some,
-the fanon komahina mentioned above goes here without a doubt-the crack fics that spam and flood their tag… like really? shrekmaeda? trumpmaeda? s*mmer l*ve???-the “uwu so pure cant hurt everyone! pls protect me hinatakun” komaeda and “hide in my arms babe im here for u” hinata-just. very aggressive and clingy komaeda.-violent dom/sub, noncon, hate sex-shsl slut hinata-kun-fucking komaeda who’s stuttering every single time
Things I look for in fanfic: i’m up to anything! tbh i’ll accept any post dr3 where they’re happy or alternative post sdr2 where it’s angsty with pent up emotions and both of them have to deal with a lot of things left from the simulation (im disappointed sdr2.5 didnt give us drama :0 ) or just simple fluff aus good for the soul. angsty aus bc sadness is never enough to me. canon divergence!! im happy to see some twists made within sdr2… and dr3 please.
My kinks:  komahina being passionate with each other : ‘  D
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: non Non No. this ask got very long do you think i even have the time to imagine either of them without the other… well there’s kamukoma, technically it doesn’t count, and that’s it
My happily ever after for them: komahina moving on from ordeals together finally reached a complete understanding, they might still hit a rocky road along the way but they have each other to rely on. that s cheesy, most probably, but please

Reconnect- Release The Forgotten You!
Reconnect- Release The Forgotten You!
Recently, I experienced something which left me elated, confident and most importantly happy and satisfied.
We all know the feeling of going someplace where we know no one and meeting people for the first time.
As women, we know for sure the hesitant apprehension of entering a room for a women’s get-together (most of us dread it) – as a first timer each one scanning the other – hair, makeup, clothes, shoes, jewelry, handbag and the list goes on making you feel either insecure or in a rare case a tad bit more confident about yourself (yea! I’ve felt both!).
As mothers or parents, we know the anxiety of wanting to know the parents of other kids and understanding that once you’re a parent the best thing to do is to make friends with your children’s friends’ parents. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably hoped that someday your kids will boast about their 10-12-year-old connection with school friends and will still have the same friends in college and thereafter; unlike the chances most of us have had thanks to which having friends just to hang out with becomes a challenging on-going hiatus as we grow older. And as time passes kids start hanging out more and more with their friends but parent meet-ups get restricted to orientations, open houses at school or if your child gets invited to a birthday party (where you secretly wish parents had been invited too) but you’re pretty much reduced to a chauffeur style pick-and-drop service while wondering what the hell are u going to do to fill the time that remains in between.
It’s a sad yet nagging truth that blatantly stares us in the eye – ultimately, everyone is looking to connect with someone. Sometimes more desperately than anyone of us can imagine. It may sound silly but maybe if only there was a school or a way for adults as well – someplace that they could go to and just meet peers regularly because if we are all facing the same issue isn’t that what connects us together or reconnect to ourselves?
Yesterday, I experienced an opening to facing all of these hurdles combined and a possible solution. A couple of ladies from school took the initiative and invited the entire 4th standard foyer moms of our school to come and spend an afternoon together, comprising of lunch followed by tea at a local club. It was amazing to see everyone’s enthusiasm as the day the message was posted on the Whatsapp group, half of the 180 moms readily agreed; 90% of whom turned up yesterday for the meetup! Everyone was excited and anxious for maybe this could be their only chance to get out of the house albeit for an afternoon spent with strangers who could become familiar in some way!
As we entered the room, with of course inhibitions looming over our heads and probably on most of our faces, some of us knew some of us. Read that as almost every mom knew about 2-3 faces she’d bumped into at school or the rare case again of some moms actually KNOWING each other.
The same notions came like one wave after the other…as you enter all eyes on you or so you feel, looking out for a familiar face, shifting your weight from leg to the other, occasionally glancing at your phone which has become the never-leaving-your-side companion at an unfamiliar social gathering, sipping your welcome drink and wondering why the hell you agreed to come because eventually, you start noticing that almost everyone is confused and a little aloof.
Motherhood Is Balancing Sleepless Nights With Tiny Fingers Intertwined Around
However, slowly, there is some kind of grouping happening. Some are huddling in one corner chattering as though they are besties…the other lets-go-berserk-taking-selfies group and a few more such.
Nonetheless, I managed the occasional smile and mustered up the courage to open my mouth and speak without wondering what was the point of this and letting go of my introvert nature. Soon it dawned on me that there WAS a connect after all. Even though our kids went to the same school, more importantly, we ALL were here because we wanted to connect beyond just that!!
(Doesn’t it sound so obvious…but how difficult it becomes because we make it!)
So started with introductions (all the while hoping that the conversation does not steer towards kids, studies, teachers etc) and fortunately, can you believe it, nobody brought up the age-old conversation killers! Gradually, over a couple of hours, we got to talk to each other and what was dead silence when people were entering turned to a disc-like atmosphere where we had to talk loudly to be heard or lean in to hear; where most of us let loose and were just ourselves.
My Journey From a Career woman to a Stay-at-Home Mom
By the end of it, I don’t think there was any person standing without someone they had bonded with. There were actual conversations about them, about me – no kids, husband, house, etc. Thanks to the amazing mums who organised the event, there was good food, good music and they also had an MC host us – oldest trick in the book but the best way to break the ice, I’d say!
Almost everyone, it turns out, wanted to get out, wanted to meet but didn’t know how! Everyone was looking for someone to talk to. Such a simple human thing, yet we fail at it so miserably. I was so happy half hour into it that I started wondering why haven’t these meet-ups happened more often. Why don’t people hang around more with people they might know and take a chance at building friendships which seem like such an effort now? I was no longer reluctant to be at an unknown social gathering.
To sum up, I was happy after a long time that being a mom isn’t the only identity I need.  I needed this to find myself again, to reconnect with myself, the forgotten me. Others may not know it but having kids and responsibilities doesn’t mean we don’t wish for friends. Hell! We want them more than you can imagine. I can’t wait to meet these mums again :).
