this GAME. This STUPID FUCKING DUMB TOXIC-PLAYER-BASE-HAVING-ASS GAME.

Their lore is amazing, this is the game that spawned Arcane after all. And the band skin lines have always had a special place in my heart because if there’s two kinds of Au’s I will forever and always be FERAL for it: it’s dance AUs and Band AUs.

Lol has 4 band skin lines.

A metal one named PENTAKILL, which is the first one they ever did.

A Kpop girl group named K/DA which is when I got dragged in BY MY WIG

A rap group called True Damage (which has a member of K/da in it cuz she started it)

And the newest one: The boyband Heartsteel.

Each of these have at the very least one full, 3 minute song to their name. K/DA actually popped off so hard they got a mini album.

Heartsteel has been wanted since K/da first popped up like 4 years ago and their song Paranoia dropped about an hour ago. In the upcoming days, Riot (the company that makes all this shit) has been dropping peices of discord calls between the Heartsteel boys and I love them so very much I don’t know how to cope.

One of the calls is just one of the members being bullied because he was basically musicverse Justin Bieber.

I have two different ideas for this cringe man to have a secret girlfriend I swear I get so obsessed with lol characters when I’m obsessed with them I hate it here

I had planned on drawing everyone for this (I made a LIST!) but it. hasn't been going well. 💀 soooo here's what I have so far!

Riddle - Roserade (I was going with 'no legendaries', otherwise I would've given him a Shaymin) (and I don't think Togedemaru is actually a hedgehog or I would've given him one of those too) (...they kind of do fit though. hmm.)

Trey - Alcremie (clover/mint cream + strawberry/ruby cream)

Cater - DITTO SQUAD! DITTO SQUAD! DITTO SQUAD!

Ace - Impidimp (I feel like there's probably a better one for him, but I can't think of it)

Deuce - Scraggy (meanwhile I KNOW deep in my heart that this is true)

Leona - Pyroar (but like. a nasty Pyroar. just a grizzly old Pyroar with the shittiest attitude imaginable. they pretend to hate each other but secretly they are a bonded pair, do not separate)

the visual inspiration for this was a combination of Frederic William Burton's Meeting on the Turret Stairs and also Bernardo Cavallino's The vision of St. Dominic receiving the Rosary from the Virgin

this was supposed to be just a one off illustration to get the thoughts out of my system, but then I started thinking about medieval politics and warfare and plagues and a castle and home as both a place of refuge, a prison, and a tomb, so perhaps they will end up as ex voto characters as well.

you may say, hey! that rosary looks like it has too many beads! it's a fifteen decade rosary, probably. dominicans are really into marian devotions. it works out.

also. spiral style stair cases. oh boy. it was that unexpectedly more difficult than I originally thought it would be to draw. the more I think about it, the less I understand them, even though I had a million photos of the stairs in front of me while I was drawing it.
