The Dark World was discovered when Asgore broke the seal on the Door of Time. However, the seal had already been broken long ago, and the Dark World is the result of the infinite possibilities of the universe. It is unknown who or what created the Dark World, or why it exists at all.

It is a place of monsters and magic. It is unknown how it spreads, but it is known that the Dark World can spread to the surface world through the entrances in Hometown.

The Dark World is ruled by the "Dark Lord". He is the ultimate authority of the Dark World, and is also the source of all the magic and monsters.

The Dark World is constantly expanding, and as it expands it becomes harder to contain. The Dark World is infinite, and it's impossible to say how much of it is actually accessible.

If the Dark World is able to escape to the surface, it will bring ruin upon the world. The only way to stop the Dark World is to destroy the Fountains.

The four of them are in Ralsei's castle in the Dark World. Ralsei is explaining how the Dark World came to be to Kris, Susie, and Noelle. The three sit on the floor and listen intently to his every word. They seem very interested in the information and ask lots of questions.

They also get a little rowdy at times, with Susie and Ralsei getting into a playful argument.

After Ralsei finishes explaining everything to Kris, Susie, and Noelle, they thank him for sharing the knowledge with them.

Then, Susie says something nice to Ralsei.

Susie: "Thanks, Ralsei."

Ralsei: "You're welcome, Susie."

Ralsei's expression softens, and he smiles. Then, Ralsei looks over at Noelle, who seems to be in deep thought.

Susie: "Noelle?"

Noelle: "Hmm? What is it, Susie?"

Susie: "Do you believe Ralsei?"

Noelle: "Of course I do! He's great!"

Susie: "Yeah... I'm glad..."

Ralsei: "Thank you! Can I show you all something cool?"

Susie: "Cool?! Oh yeah, sure!"

Ralsei: "Great, come with me!"

Ralsei leads the group to a room in his castle where there are several small crystals floating above the ground. They all float around slowly, making it look like they're dancing.

Susie: "Woah! Look at that! Those are neat!"

Noelle: "Yes, they are. This is amazing, Ralsei."

Kris nods in agreement and a small smile comes across his face.

Noelle: "I've never seen anything like this before... it's beautiful."

Ralsei: "It is, isn't it?"

Ralsei walks up to the crystals and picks one up.

Ralsei: "These are called Crystals of Light. They represent the essence of light, and it is said that they can awaken the power of your SOUL."

Ralsei places the Crystal of Light near Noelle's chest, which makes her look down at it curiously.

Ralsei: "Can you feel it? The warmth of the light?"

Noelle: "I can feel it... a little."

Ralsei: "That's good. Try to hold it for now, but don't forget that you can still lose control of your SOUL if you let it go for too long."

Ralsei: "Good luck!"

Ralsei: "Let's see if we can help your friend, Kris, grow stronger, too!"

Kris clapped his hands together happily.

Susie: "Your forgetting someone here, Ralsei!"

Ralsei: "Oh, right! You're right Susie!"

Ralsei bowed down to Susie.

Susie: "You forgot about me huh?! Well, I'm not gonna take that kind of crap from anybody, especially somebody like you!"

Ralsei: "O-Okay..."

Ralsei pouted for a second, then straightened himself back up.

Ralsei: "I understand."

Kris: (Wow, you sure do work hard, Ralsei.)
