8:40am - I woke up in a panic and saw that i had just woken up 20min before my mandatory discussion began at 9am. I PANICKED but I hauled booty over to my discussion and made it 🙇‍♀️ I was late but the TA was very understanding as she recognized that my partners for the presentation I presented today left me with an unfair chunk of work, and I told her how I stayed up until 4am working on it due to miscommunication from those partners. goated ta + she brought her cute dog and he loves me so +++ dog therapy points 🫶
10am - I hung out at Kerckhoff with Claire until I met with Steven around 11am. I ate at epic at Ackerman for the first time today with Steven, and it was SO good. Epic at Ackerman puts all the dining halls on the hill to shame. I ate spaghetti w meatballs and drank a mix of fruit punch Powerade and sprite (that combo was not good.) talking to Steven was super fun and relaxing and it made my heart full, he is definitely an inspiring and admirable person
12pm - I headed back to my dorm to unwind. I was so. Tired. So extremely tired. I ended up sitting on the floor for a bit just replying to messages and situating some things. My bf then texted to meet with me and grab food with him since he had woken up, and we ended going to epic at Ackerman again bc I told him about how good it was.
2pm - I went to my lecture! Nothing too exciting
3:15pm - I hung out with Anibal on the grass by the tongva steps. We had a great time talking about stories and hobbies and life and such, it was very relaxing.
4:30 - I hung out with Yasmine and she treated me to chick fil a in Westwood! It was so good, and I had so much fun talking to Yasmine about theatre and performances and our upbringing. I never knew we had so much in common!
6pm - I hung out with kadee, she treated us to snacks from hilltop shop 🫶 she got me twin snakes and a Yerba (passion fruit yerb is a god send, the only reason why I’m able to work and function to the end of the day honestly). I had so much fun talking to her, she is always so kind. I also found out that she is super musically talented and I loved hearing all about it.
8pm - I had a meeting! I got lost on my way back and I almost accidentally took someone else’s scooter because I mistook it for mine
10:30pm - I had a presentation over zoom for my Asian am discussion T_T good discussion and amazing partners, I’m just so tired
Overall, I rate today 7/10!

late night calls (with you) | d.w
reader misses dean.
gif by @canonspngifs
angsty for no reason, fluffy too, listened to iu’s through the night the whole time while writing this, not set in any particular szn
Tumblr media
“OH AND NO phones this whole weekend.”
jody shoots you a pointed look, a playful smile lingering on her lips.
you make sure your eyes roll all the way to the back as everyone slowly but surely turns to smirk at you.
even alex, now who was she to speak on excessive usage of phones?
“i won’t die if i don’t get to use my phone, just so you guys know.” you huff, crossing your arms in annoyance as donna barks with laughter.
so, you had to give up your actual phone, the other one too and the other, other one sitting in the car as well.
claire made a whole show out of it, collecting each and every one in a bucket labelled distractions crossed out in red.
“time to bring out the vodka!”
you can’t help crack a chuckle at jody’s scandalized expression at claire’s screech.
it was going to be one hell of a girls weekend.
——————————————————————————
your heart is in your mouth, pounding with each light step towards the bathroom. a slight weight tugs the pocket of your cardigan downwards, it’s your old flip phone.
in your defense, you didn’t even know it was still with you. (well, you kind of did but it’s not your fault claire couldn’t find it.)
you cringe as the door creaks open, pushing it one inch at a time until there’s enough space to slide in.
the phone takes a lifetime to switch on, you’re luck there’s a bar of charge left.
your fingers fumble around, accidentally pressing the wrong buttons each time you press one right. jesus, how did you use this back then?
the contact list doesn’t extend beyond one click of the down arrow key.
bobby.
bobby fbi.
bobby home.
your heart clenches a little, remembering how easy it was to just call bobby up whenever you wanted. he was within your reach, a phonecall or just a drive away.
it’s crazy the little things we take for granted.
a few more names pop up, all dead or estranged, mostly dead and you feel sick to your guts.
you hurriedly hit the back button several times until the ugly, default wallpaper, with pixels you can count, greets you.
dean’s number materialises on the screen as you punch in the numbers to his personal cell, meant for only sam and you.
he picks up on the third ring, “ok, who did you kill to get this phone?”
you deadpan, slightest bit of annoyance flaring “ha ha, dean. i risk my life to call and that’s the first thing you say?”
his laughter crackles in your ear, he seems to switch the phone towards the other ear.
“jody gave me the low down about girls weekend. no phones, no men and definitely no insanely hot boyfriends.”
you perch yourself on top of the toilet bowl, barely just hovering over it. it’s uncomfortable but better than standing idly.
“looks like that won’t be a problem for me.”
he gasps so loudly you have to muffle the phone with your hands, manically shushing him.
“i’m hiding in the bathroom, can you be a little more quiet?” you hiss, keeping an ear perked up for any telling sounds outside.
you’re met with silence and a gentle buzz of static letting you know dean’s still on call.
“hello?”
“thought you didn’t want me to speak.” he whispers, probably wearing a shit-eating-but-also-adorable grin.
you almost crush the poor flip phone in your bare hand, “yeah, i didn’t mean to shut up, you ass.”
he’s chuckling again but you’re well prepared to muffle the phone this time, quite possibly damaging the ancient speakers.
“you know, even if we’re miles apart, the sky we share will always be the same.”
you mock gag at his words, “did you steal that from a movie or something?”
dean scoffs through the phone and you can practically see his eyes roll back.
“i’m a romantic, you’re just a boring, old realist.”
a muffled chuckle leaves your lips, free hand clamping it shut, hyperaware of a cabin full of hunters who sleep with a loaded gun under their pillow.
you peek a glance up, the moon’s not even out, little to no stars jewelled beside. you think you see a tiny sparkle in the distance if you squint hard enough.
“there are no stars on my end.”
“that’s cause you’re not looking in the mirror.”
a giggle escapes your lips despite your attempts to remain indifferent towards his god awful pick up lines, like always.
you can almost hear his smile through the phone, he’s probably pumping his fist up in the air in proud victory.
unadmittedly, something about the shared night sky is intimate, tugs at your heart. it’s a jarring, welcomed constant in both of your lives.
one too many car rides spent under the night sky, sometimes admiring it with a mildly infuriatingly warm beer and an equally riveting squabble with sam over who gets to ride shotgun next.
a longing want overwhelms you, you have so much to say, so much more dean needs to know.
time feels stolen, borrowed every second you spend with him. you’re always scrambling to cook a new recipe or go to that new diner around the block. never stopping because just in case.
just in case a hunt goes wrong, just in case you piss off the wrong deities, the wrong witches or the wrong demons.
just in case he dies.
the words die in your throat each time, etch themselves in your diary instead. they stay locked up in the confines of pages, wash away like the engravings of your initials he always draws on the sand of kansas beach.
his initials rests on the nook of your clavicle around a delicate, silver chain.
d.w.
he’d gifted it to you the previous christmas, citing the importance of you wearing it all the time so those shrimp jack asses stop hitting on you.
sam pointed out how it doesn’t lessen the chances of you getting hit on because strangers couldn’t possibly know what d.w stands for or who he/she is.
dean placed bugs in his bed that night.
god, you miss his petty ass already.
“i miss you.” you blurt out while he’s rambling on about sam’s poor outfit choices for his most recent date.
a pause, he seems to absorb, understand the depth of your words.
“i know,” his voice’s softer, hushed like the sky might hear and tell the moon, “i know.”
the way he says that, you’re sure you’re falling for him all over again.
“i have half a mind to come and bring you back home right now.” he teases lightly, an edge in his voice that seems to suggest otherwise.
you simply smile, fingers lifting to trace his initials on your neck. it’s silent for a while, comfortable and you bask in it, knowing he’s on the other side doing the same.
“what are you doing?” you ask after a while, drawing your knees to your chest, resting your chin in the nook of their valley.
“just thinking of you.” he muses. you should be chuckling at that, teasing him for such a cheesy line but your heart just swells ten fold.
“can you promise me something?”
dean hums, gulping down a drink, probably a cold beer. (which you strongly, strongly disagree with. he just waves you off whenever you bring up his cholesterol and all the old age stuff.)
“don’t die, okay? atleast not before me.”
he chuckles lightly, “you usually only say that before a hunt, or when i have a plate of bacon infront of me.”
“i know, just reminding you.”
it comes off sadder than intended, your desparation slips in right at the end and he seems to notice.
“i solemnly promise that i won’t die. it’s a pinky swear and you know how serious i am
about these pinkies.”
you raise your pinky to no one in particular, imagining his snug around yours, thumbs meeting in unison, a kiss on your lips to seal it.
a yawn involuntarily escapes your mouth, eyes watering slightly and it hurts to keep them open.
“hey sleepyhead, don’t doze off on me.” he mumbles, sounding half asleep himself.
“i’m no-.”
a light flickers on outside, streaming in through the keyhole.
“shit, i think they’re on to me.” you whisper, frantically flushing the toilet. your arm knocks over a shampoo rack in the process, no doubtedly waking everyone up to atrociously loud clanging.
dean has the nerve to laugh at your predicament, “just make sure you come home to me whole.”

Date Me
Masterlist
Fandom: Resident Evil/Biohazard
Pairing: Jill/Carlos
AU: College students!Carlos and Jill
Summary: Upon his first meeting with Jill, Carlos was whipped. But with constantly being shot down only to be teased by long time friend Tyrell, Carlos is determined to try anything.
Requested by @xnearyx and an anon. I am so sorry that this is basically crack.
Tumblr media
There was never a dull day at the College of Raccoon City. Doors had strange locking mechanisms and puzzles that you had to solve in order to even get into the class. And unless you were Ada Wong, you’d need a fucking miracle to get into the room after a lesson was scheduled to start. It wasn’t unusual to see Ada scaling the outside of the main campus building or Chris Redfield brute-forcing a door open. The faculty seem to be okay with all this… Well all of them except Marvin. Poor Marvin was the new head of security on campus and could only give hints to help students out. It was legitimately written into his contract. And what happened to the previous head of security Mr Irons? It happened when Professor Burkins bought his daughter to show her what he does for a living. Mr Irons was taking an interest in her and the next thing you know he’s mysteriously fallen down two flights of stairs and Professor Burkin was taken in for questioning. So yes, never a dull day at all.
Which is why Carlos didn’t bat an eye when he saw the college’s star football player, Nemmy, approach S.T.A.R.S captain, Jill Valentine. S.T.A.R.S was the college’s soccer team but don’t ask what it means, no one knows. What did have Carlos preparing to intervein was when things went from calm to hostile, in the blink of an eye Nemmy was throwing a punch at Jill… And she fucking caught it! She caught his fist and thrown him judo style over her shoulder!
“Holy shit. What a woman…” Carlos uttered in amazement before movement out his peripheral vision caught his attention. Dragging his eyes from the victorious captain, Carlos spotted the silver-haired Nikolai creeping up behind her, trying to get the drop on her. Carlos was quick to run and subdue the would-be assailant, getting him into a headlock.
“Hey!” Nikolai shouted, a mistake on his part.
Quick as a flash Jill whipped around and, as soon as she spotted the struggling bug-eyed bastard, kicked him in the dick. Carlos immediately let go, letting the man fall into a heap on the floor cupping his delicates.
“I told you Nikolai: ‘The next time I see you I’ll be taking away your ability to reproduce’. Did you really think I’d let you and those other Umbrella Scholarship bastards spike the drinks of my girls?” Jill growled out, crouching down to jab at him.
Carlos awkwardly cleared his throat, he and his friend Tyrell were also on the Umbrella scholarship programme… Jill looked up at him, smiling. Carlos was done for, her smile was so precious as well as her need for justice. Definitely his kind of girl.
“Oh, sorry about this. Thanks for the save earlier.”
Carlos scratched his beard, looking away so he doesn’t get entranced by her ocean blue eyes, “No problem. The asshole is in my business class and let’s just say we have clashing views on workers rights and treatment.” Jill raised a single perfect eyebrow in question. “He’s a militant conservative capitalist. I’m a liberal socialist.”
Jill nodded getting up out of her crouch, “Fair enough, well best be going before these two recover. You should too.”
And with that, she walked away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two months passed. Two months of Carlos attending S.T.A.R.S matches and practices so that he could see the girl who stole his heart in action. Boy, seeing her shout out orders to her teammates was something incredible. It also meant two months of talking to her afterwards and asking her out to dinner, which always got shot down because “I need to focus on my matches and studies. I don’t have time for a boyfriend”.
And Tyrell hadn’t been blind to his friend’s new-formed habit that has him arriving in their shared apartment later than usual and out on weekend mornings.
“So who are you hung up on this time? I haven’t seen you this down in the dumps since that girl you were crushing on in high school started dating that Brad guy.”
Carlos sighed, head in hand as he stared down at the assignment he was working on, “It’s Jill-”
Tyrell snorted, an amused smirk on his face, “Captian of the women’s soccer team Jill?” Carlos didn’t respond, giving Tyrell his answer, “Man you better give up on that soon. I heard that she’s never dated anyone in her entire time here.”
“But I can’t T, she’s just so incredible. How could I possibly stop thinking of someone who cares about her team so much she’ll sacrifice her social life and dare to go toe to toe with Nemmy? Fucking Nemmy. And on top of that, sometimes if she’s free and I’m late to a lesson, she’ll pick the doors lock so I can get in. And you know how fucking weird the doors are here. That is an honest to god talent right there.”
“Yeah, but didn’t she accidentally set off a trap that had the ceiling nearly crush her if it wasn’t Professor Bruton?”
“That was in freshman year, we’re seniors now.”
Tyrell just shook his head and got back to work, knowing that there was no reasoning with Carlos once he set on something.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was after a victorious match against the male S.T.A.R.S team that it happened. Carlos was waiting outside the women’s locker room like he usually did. Not in a creepy kind of way. If anything he chugged respect-women-juice as if he would die without it. No, it was simply because that’s normally where he’d wait for Jill to talk to her and make sure Nikolai wasn’t lurking nearby to ambush her. However, this time while he was waiting, a freshman named Claire approached him.
“Hi there!” She greeted him cheerfully, smiling up at him.
Carlos being someone who never ignores a person unless given a reason to, smiled back, “Hi.”
“I’ve seen you at all our games and practices for the past couple of months, I love that you’re so supportive of the team.” She was positively beaming at him, her hand coming to rest on his arm. “Do you play any sports? If you do, I’d love to go watch.”
“Uh yeah, I’m on the football team under the Umbrella scholarship- but I’m nothing like some of the other guys on the team. I heard about how they tried to spike your drinks.”
“Oh, I know you’re not like them. Jill told us about how you helped her kick some sense into Nikolai… So if I asked you to dinner after your next practice, would that be okay?”
The sound of Jill’s voice coming from behind startled them, Claire’s hand quickly returning to her side, “I’m afraid he can’t. He’ll be busy.”
Carlos was confused, “I’ll be busy?”
“Of course, you’ll be having dinner with me. Isn’t that what you’ve been asking for these past couple of months?” Jill’s hand came to rest where Claire’s had been as she turned to face her slightly, “So sorry if I’ve inconvenienced you, but I just found a free slot in my time today so it’s a little impromptu.”
Claire pouted but listened to her captain, walking away to meet up with her older brother who shot Carlos the “I’m watching you” sign.
Carlos looked to Jill, “What happened to ‘I can’t date because I’m dating my GPA’?”
Jill met his gaze but couldn’t last long before looking away, bashful, “It's selfish but I didn’t like the idea of you going on a date with anyone that isn’t me.”
Carlos grinned, wide and boy-ish, “I’ve only got eyes for you, chica.”

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ A Little Green - IV - Enoch O’Connor
POSTED: December 1st, 2017
WORD COUNT: 2,062
REQUESTED: @cosmixheart
A/N: The end is here. I hope you enjoyed this mini-series. I have another fic I’m working on, but I’m taking a short break from writing Enoch because I feel like if I write too much of him for too long I'll run out of ideas. I hope y’all are ready for some twilight, cuz that's what I’m hitting you with next
Tumblr media
The doors burst back open, and Barron shoved Jake into the room with so much force it almost sent him over the back of the couch. Once Barron was gone Jake went strain to action, stating that since it was getting dark, the only way they stood a chance was if they stayed inside since they wouldn’t even be able to see their shadows.
“He’s quite right,” Miss. Avocet said, “now, where does Miss. Peregrine keep her weapon?”
Enoch gestured behind him to the other room, and Y/N ran to the room without a word, dragging Enoch with her. He ran ahead of her, turning to corner to where garden plants were. He handed out the garden tools, passing one to Y/N, and the next to Jake.
He went to pass one to Emma when the phone rang. Emma took the garden tool from Jake, telling him that he should go answer the phone. Jake went to get the phone while Emma went to go help the others. Y/N went to go follow, but Enoch grabbed her arm, pulling her into his chest.
“Enoch, we really don’t have time,” Enoch shushed her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
“I’m glad you came back,” Enoch said, running a hand through her hair briefly before stepping away, “Let’s go.”
Tumblr media
Everyone was posted up in the parlour room with some kind of weapon. Ms. Avocet was giving instructions to everyone, telling them that above all, they were to stay safe and leave the hollow to her. She went to address everyone with garden tools, but was pulled back through the wall but what could have only been a hollow.
Jake dove for the crossbow she dropped, laying down underneath the table as he watched for the hollow. Y/N watched anxiously, trying to see any hint of where the hollow could be. It was growling from in front of her, and Y/N stubbled back when more of the wall was destroyed.
Enoch ran forward to Jake, pushing him back to only be grabbed by the hollow. Y/N heard Fiona scream and watched desperately as Enoch was smashed into the window, then to the wall on the opposite side of the room. Jake yelled at everyone to get upstairs while he aimed for an opening.
Emma, Olive and Y/N helped the kids over the back of the couch and into the next room. The two followed after the kids, leaving Y/N, Jake and Enoch on the other side. Jake took the shoot and hit the Hollow, causing it to let out a growl as it dropped Enoch. Y/N quickly rushed to his side to help him up.
Y/N pushed Enoch ahead of her to the couch, climbing over after him. He grabbed her hand as she landed to pull her after him. She could hear the hollow destroying the house behind them as they ran up the stairs. They met up with the other kids in the attic, where the bomber planes could be heard.
Jake stuck his head out the window, “Fiona, is there anything you can do with that tree?”
Fiona gave a nod a quick yes, climbing out the window to get to the tree. Jake stated that they were going out the window, and one by one everyone climbed out the window. Olive stayed inside to help the children while Enoch waited outside to Catch the children coming down.
When Y/N got onto the roof she made a beeline for Fiona. She remembered what Jake said, and slipped her necklace off and looped it over Fiona’s head. The stone almost instantly glowed, and the tree branch grew faster. In no time the branch was on the roof and everyone was hurrying across it. Once everyone was far from the house, they turned back in time to see Jake and Emma floating down as the house exploded behind them.
Almost as soon as the bomb hit it was gone, cycling from day to night as if the loop was resetting with the house almost fully intact before going back to night, with the house engulfed in flames. The loop was gone.
Tumblr media
After a brief discussion on the beach, Y/N and the others found themselves swimming deep into the water to a shipwreck not far from shore. Emma was going through the boat, blowing air around to push the water out of the boat. As air filled it slowly rose to the surface at a sharp angle that knocked everyone back into the far wall. Once the boat breached the surface of the water they set off to Miss. Avocet’s loop.
While Jake, Millard and Emma when through the loop to 2016, Y/N, trailed Enoch around with the jars of hearts he was able to salvage from the house. She handed him jar after jar as he reanimated the many skeletons that were on the boat. Once they were all awake and armed with weapons Enoch sent them through the loop. Y/N and Enoch ran after them to watch them fight the candy covered hollows.
Once the hollows were taken care of they ran into the Blackpool tower to take care of Baron. Everyone split up all around the stands, waiting to ambush Barron and his men. The fight was a mess. Jake missed every shot he took and everything everyone did was countered. It wasn’t until Bronwyn was almost frozen that Y/N stumbled upon her peculiarity.
Y/N ran towards the pool, grabbing a broken piece of metal to break the ice open. The ice was too thick, and Y/N felt hot tears pour down her face. In her anger she gave one last attempt, punching the ice and fell right through it as it liquified. Sputtering around, Y/N pulled Bronwyn out of the water, pulling her into a tight hug.
When Bronwyn gasped Y/N looked up to see the man with the Ice peculiarity freezing Olive. Y/N focused on the water and watched amazed as it floated up around her in a ring. The man was still distracted, so Y/N used that to her advantage, moving to water to surround the man’s head. He instantly let Olive go to swat the water away.
In his desperate attempt to get the water away he accidentally took in a deep breath and started to choke, dropping to his knees as Y/N pushed the water into his lungs. When the man stopped struggling Y/N closed, taking a deep breath as the water dropped to the ground, soaking a nearby Olive who was trying to warm up her arm.
“Sorry,” Y/N muttered, sliding her hands up and down Bronwyn's arms to warm the shivering girl up. Y/N surveyed the room, taking note of the shattered statue on the ground. The Twins and Claire came running up to her with an expectant look. That when she noticed that Enoch was missing.
“He went to go help Jake and Emma,” Horace said, coming over with Hugh and Fiona behind him. Y/N nodded, smiling down at Fiona when she walked over to her.
“This is yours,” Fiona held the necklace up to Y/N. Y/N took the necklace and quickly looped it around her neck, tucking it into the top of her dress. Footsteps came from the hallway, and everyone turned to see Enoch and Emma come out with a distraught Jake trailing behind them.
When Enoch caught sight of Y/N he quickened his pace, taking her into a tight hug that Bronwyn narrowly missed being smushed between them. Y/N hugged him back just as tightly, gripping onto the back of his jumper. Enoch pulled away from Y/N slightly, and the two of them looked at each other for a moment before Enoch was leaning down, pressing his lips to her in a chaste kiss.
The kids started giggling around them causing Y/N to smile into the kiss. Enoch pulled back with a pleased look on his face, his hand coming up to cradle her cheek, “I’m glad you’re okay.”
“Me too.”
Tumblr media
Jake had ultimately decided to leave, wanting to stay in 2016 to see his grandfather again. Everyone said their goodbyes, and Y/N left herself for last.
“Are you really not coming with us?”
“I have to see my grandpa again,” Jake said, pulling Y/N into a tight hug. His eyes flickered to Enoch, who was waiting nearby for Y/N, “I’m glad you got over your crazy ex-girlfriend, even if that person is Enoch.”
Y/N laughed and hit Jake on the chest, “Enoch isn’t even mean.”
“Yeah, he’s not mean to you because he likes you.”
“Whatever,” Y/N mumbled, pulling away from Jake, “Bye Loser.”
“Bye Nerd.”
Y/N turned to the waiting Enoch, taking his outstretched hand as he led her through the loop. They got onto the boat, everyone preparing the boat to set sail. Once the boat was moving, Olive said that she would steer the boat first. With that the children ran off, looking for rooms to claim while they carried what little they got from the house.
The children were excited, Claire, Bronwyn and the Twins were running around the living quarters with Hugh, Millard, Horace and Fiona flowing at a slower pace. Y/N and Enoch were behind everyone else, walking hand in hand as they watched as room after room was claimed. Y/N went to look into the close by rooms, but Enoch tugged her down the hall to the rooms far from the others.
Enoch opened up room after room until they came across a room that had a double bed. He dragged Y/N in, closing the door behind them as he dropped his stuff off at the door. Y/N looked around the room, going to the bathroom that surprisingly had running water when she turned on the tap.
When Y/N came out of the room Enoch was sitting on the edge of the bed as he watched her, his leg bouncing.
“Was this a joke to you?”
“What do you mean?” Y/N took a seat next to Enoch, but he jumped up to pace in front of her.
“Us. Were you just playing along because you thought it was funny.”
“Enoch I don’t under-”
“I heard what Jake said,” Enoch sighed, running a hand through his hair, “He said ex-girlfriend, I heard him Y/N. I know what that means.”
“I don’t think you do,” Y/N got up, stopping in front of Enoch so he could look at her, but he stubbornly kept his head turned away, “I don’t know if you know what being bisexual means, but it means I like both men and women okay. And last I checked you fell into one of those categories.”
He finally turned his head, and Y/N’ heart sank at the unshed tears in his eyes. Y/N reached up, pulling him down to her to press her lip against his. Enoch kissed back desperately, pulling Y/N flush against him. Y/N looped her arms around his neck, letting her fingers tangled in his hair.
Enoch pulled back just enough to be able to talk, “I told myself not to fall for you, that it could only end badly. And when I heard Jake-”
“Shh, hey. I’m right here, I’m not going anywhere,” Y/N said. She pulled Enoch back in, pushing up on her tiptoes to deepen it. Enoch’s hands grabbed Y/N’s hips, and he pushed her back until she fell onto the bed. She stared up at him, shifting back towards the top of the bed as Enoch crawled over her. He settled above her, brushing away hair from her face as he admired her.
Y/N let out a content sigh, reaching up with grabby hands. Enoch dropped down next to her, pulling her into his arms. They fell asleep to the distant chattering of the children the other's heartbeat in their ears.

Just My Luck (Leonard Snart x Reader): Chapter One
Tumblr media
Pairing: (Eventual) Leonard Snart x Reader
Word Count: 2188
Summary: This is the first chapter in my Leonard Snart x reader series. It will take place in Season One of The Flash and progress through to Legends of Tomorrow. It starts in the episode Going Rogue, with the reader being a part of Team Flash.
A/N: I do not own the gif. I found it on google, so credit to whomever made it.
“Y/N!” Barry shouted, warning me of the blow to face I was about to receive if I didn’t duck. I ducked, landing a blow to the blue eyed man’s stomach in the process. “Y/N, cute name,” he smirked. Damn you Barry, I mean I was thankful for the warning, but I did not need Snart knowing my name. “Let’s skip the chit chat,” I spoke while trying to figure a way out, Snart had me cornered, and some back up would have been very much appreciated. Barry was recovering from getting hit by Snart’s gun, so I guess I was on my own at this point. “Straight to the point, I like it,” Snart winked at me. I rolled my eyes going for another punch. He caught my wrist before I could, twisting it around so my back was to him. He leaned in and whispered in my ear, “I don’t want to hurt you, sweetheart.”
I guess I should back up a little as to how I found myself in this situation.
  * Earlier That Day*
I’d been living in Central City for about a month, before that I had been living in Starling City for six months. I had originally moved to Starling from a small town, to open up my own Private Investigator’s Office. One accidental encounter with the Arrow later and I was working for him, Oliver Queen.
Last month I moved to Central City, to help out a friend of Oliver’s. What Oliver failed to mention when asking me to help his friend, was that his friend was Barry Allen, or as you may know him, the Flash. So here I was, living in a luxurious apartment, paid for by Oliver helping the Flash in his battles against Meta-humans. This was a whole new ball game for me, but I was adjusting.
I was talking to my friend Claire on the phone who I was supposed to help move today. She was a good friend of mine from my home town, and she was moving to Central City today. She was going to be staying at my place for a while, seeing as I had plenty of space.
“I’m about an hour out,” she told me.
“Awesome! I can’t wait to show you around the city!” I replied, then my phone started to beep indicating that another call was coming in. “Hold on a sec, I’m getting another call.
I looked down to see that the caller ID said Barry. “Hello?” I answered it. “Hey, Y/N. We had an armored car robbery this morning, you think you can meet me down at the station in twenty? I’m leaving the scene with Joe now,” I sighed. “Okay, I’ll be right there,” I switched the call back over to Claire.
“So it looks like I have a case. Sorry I won’t be here when you get here, that was my friend in forensics; I have to go down to the station,” I explained “How do you already have a friend in forensics? You’ve been here what a month?” she asked. “What can I say, I make friends easy, plus you know I’ve been consulting for the station basically since I moved here. I was bound to make friends.” I grabbed my bag off the counter, and headed towards the door.
“I’ll leave a key with the doorman so you can get in. I promise to make it up to you. Girls night? I have wine, pie and the new Captain America movie saved on my DVR,” I bargained. “Your famous pecan pie?” She asked. “And my apple pie, as well as key lime,” I told her while locking my door behind me.
“Wine, multiple pies and Chris Evans, okay you are forgiven,” she laughed.
“Alright, I will see you then.”
Whoever decided to rob that armored car had shit timing.
CCPD
I walked into CCPD and found Joe talking with the Captain. “Ah if it isn’t our new resident PI, to what do we owe the pleasure?” The captain asked me. Despite my having helped solved five cases in the month that I’d been in Central City, the captain still wasn’t very fond of me. I think it had something to do with my bending the law on occasion to solve those cases. Either way, I was not his favorite person. “I called her in,” Joe answered for me, although technically Barry made the call. “I figure we need all hands on deck on this one,” Joe continued.
“You’re probably right, West.” The captain agreed. “Try not to get picked up for trespassing this time, Miss Y/L/N,” he added. “That was a misunderstanding,” I defended. “It happened twice, and you’ve only been in town a month,” he argued. “Both misunderstandings,” I said. “Okay,” he shook his head, clearly not convinced, before walking away. “I think he’s warming up to you,” Joe joked. “He’ll come around, they always do,” I laughed.
I followed Joe to his desk. “So, what do we know,” I asked when we got to his desk. He looked around to make sure no one was paying attention to us before telling me “So a crew attempted to rob an armored car this morning. Barry stopped them, but not before they shot one of the guards. I think they were after the Kahndaq Dynasty Diamond. It was on its way to Central City Museum for exhibition. One of the perps lost their mask, and Barry was able to identify him. His name is Leonard Snart. This guy means business. He almost always gets away.”
“That was before Barry,” I stated. “That is almost the same thing he said,” Joe shook his head. “We must be spending too much time together,” I laughed. Joe handed me two files. The first being the current case file and the other a file on Snart. “Try to track him down. He’ll most likely be casing the museum soon; that might be a good place to start. Me and Eddie will be doing surveillance there too. And if you do track him down, do not engage. Call me or Barry. I mean it, Y/N, this guy is dangerous,” he warned.
“You know I’m not one to engage in physical altercations,” I replied. “That may be so, but you do seem to have a knack for finding yourself in dangerous situations.” I was going to argue, but I didn’t have a good argument for it. I did somehow manage to find myself in dangerous situations. “But I do usually manage to get out of them.” I pointed out. “Please be safe,” He gave me that dad look, you know the one. “I promise to try my best to avoid any dangerous situations during this case,” I conceded. “Hey, where’s Barry?” I asked noticing a distinct lack of the scarlet speedster.
“He’s up in his lab,” he answered. “Well I’m going to go catch up with him before I get on this,” I motioned to the case files in my hand. “Okay, see you later. And I mean it Y/N call me the second you have eyes on Snart,” He reiterated. “Aye, Aye cap’n,” I saluted him before heading for the stairs.
I didn’t end up having to go up the stairs though, because as I was walking over that way I saw Barry, Iris and another familiar face. “Felicity!” I practically ran to her when they made it all the way down the stairs. I gave her a hug, which was somewhat difficult with the files I was carrying. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming to town?” I demanded an answer. While I was living in Starling, Felicity and I had become really good friends, she was like a sister. “I wanted to surprise you both,” she said when we let go. “Well, mission accomplished, I am most certainly surprised,” I said.
“Well, I will catch up with you all later,” Iris spoke up, smiling before walking away. I looked between Barry and Felicity. “Well, I will leave you both to catch up, and I will see you at Star Labs, Barry. Joe brought me up to speed on the case.” I lifted the files as a gesture to the new found knowledge. “Okay, I’ll see you there,” he replied.
Star Labs
I met up with the team at Star Labs and filled them in on the case while Barry and Felicity caught up. “How exactly do you walk into a police station and just get handed case files?” Cisco asked me with curiosity. “I’d like to think it’s my charming personality,” I replied with a playful smirk. “Yeah, okay,” he scoffed. “You didn’t steal these did you?” Cisco looked serious for a second. “Says the guy who constantly hacks into the CCPD computer systems?” I countered. “Touché” he dejectedly went for a twizzler. “And no, I did not steal them, I’m not a thief,” I said, instantly contradicting myself by stealing one of his twizzlers.
“I beg to differ,” he said pointing to the stolen candy in my hand. I rolled my eyes, “You owe me after eating half of the contents of my refrigerator the other night,” I pointed the twizzler at him in accusation. “Fair enough,” he conceded. “I’m officially on the payroll for this one,” I finally explained my access to police files, “This guy must be bad news considering that the Captain didn’t argue even a little when Joe brought me on as an official consultant,” I took a bite of my twizzler.
“Maybe he’s finally warming up to you,” Cisco jokingly suggested. “Yeah, I’m sure,” I said sarcastically. “Well, I’m going to head out, and start surveillance on the museum,” I got up grabbing another twizzler in the process. “Be careful,” Cisco warned. “I’ve been hearing that a lot today,” I joked. “But yes, I already got the safety talk from Joe today, and I promised to call him when I had eyes on Snart. I will be safe I promise,” I told him. “You better be! And we’re still on for movie night tomorrow right?” he asked.
“Like I would let you go see the new Avengers movie without me!” I said in mock outrage.
On the Way to Central City Museum
My phone rang as I was walking up to the museum. The caller id read Barry. “Hello?” I answered. “What are you doing?! Cisco said you were going to the museum. I don’t think you should be going alone-” I cut him off “But I hear they have this cool new exhibit.” “Not funny, Y/N” I couldn’t help but laugh anyway (I thought I was funny, that’s all that matters) he was clearly annoyed. “I’ll be fine, mom. I kind of do this for a living you know,” I replied. “Fine, but you call me or Joe the second you have eyes on him,” Barry warned. “Of course,” I said sweetly. “Now if that’s all, I’m walking into the museum, so I will talk to you later,” I hung up the phone before he could reply. I loved my friends, I really did, but they really needed to get over this over-protective crap. I could handle my own.
Central City Museum
I told the museum staff that I was working for the police, so that they wouldn’t think I was a creep going through the tour multiple times. Thankfully they were cooperative and didn’t pay any extra attention to me. I went through the tour three times before I saw him. And let me tell you, museum tours are cool, but going through them three times, well it got pretty boring by then. By the fourth tour, I probably could have led the tour group. I can’t believe I am saying this, but I was actually thankful to see a criminal, because it meant that I didn’t have to go through the tour again. He got there right before the tour began, leaving me with no time to make an exit to call Joe, so I kept to the back of the group.
I pretended to be interested in the tour, which was interesting, the first time. Now I was most certainly acting.  I covertly kept eyes on Snart, waiting for an opportunity to slip away unnoticed. The opportunity did not come during the tour, because I noticed Snart watching me in my peripheral vision. I was sure I was made. Damn it, I promised no dangerous situations. So, feeling Snart’s gaze on me, I continued to pretend to be interested in the tour. I was determined not to blow my cover.
I was beyond relieved when the tour ended. I quickly made my way into an empty hallway, checking to make sure I wasn’t followed first. I looked around one last time before pulling out my phone. I scrolled through my contacts looking for Joe’s name.
“Well this isn’t the gift shop,” I heard a voice behind me. I froze, stuffing my phone in my pocket before turning to see who was behind me. I really shouldn’t have been surprised; this was just how my luck worked.
