I just found out that my employer at the day job has sold one of the two theatre I work in, a wonderful, punches above it’s ugly weight midsize venue of the kind that it’s hard to find anymore, to a developer so it can be razed and replaced by a condo development. 

From the newspaper, because they can’t even be bothered to tell us these things that effect our livelihood before they announce to the media.Christ I hope I can sell this second book, it would buy me time to quit this day job and look for something else preferably run by people who actually show some respect for their employees

Just had my 90 day review at my new job, and I'm getting a) a promotion/new job title, b) a >10% raise, and c) more hours to spread the same amount of weekly work across.

It's not a glamorous job, and it's not gonna make me rich, but they recognize how valuable I am to them and are responding accordingly.
