2. What is your greatest fear?

Hya: “I don’t see how it’s any of your concern.”

(truly this is a complicated question for him—he has surface level fears and deeply imbedded so much so that he doesn’t even realize they are fears, fears. of those, i think he fears being unimportant more than anything, which is a juxtaposition bc (1) being a bastard and how he was raised he knows he is unimportant (2) his entire personality and mannerisms have been subconsciously crafted around protecting himself from that feeling. he doesn’t allow people close to him because if he does then he doesn’t have to contend with feeling less valuable; if he is cruel and pushes people away then same thing. it’s gotten to a point where i suppose he’s somewhat numb to it, but i think that’s the main fear that keeps him from wanting to be close to amon: if amon can deem him important what happens when he doesn’t? when he’s inevitably cast aside or used for what he can provide like he always is? so… yeah deep shit)

8. What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

Hya: “Chastity. How people chose to fuck is quite literally none of my business.”

9. On what occasion do you lie?

Hya: “I lie when necessary but I don’t make a habit of it. I don’t see the purpose of stifling myself so others are comfortable—which is all most lies are. It’s seen as polite to do so, but I’m not in the habit of entertaining platitudes. There’s no point in speaking if there’s going to be a lot of guff.”
