#rant #i was. so lucky i was born to my particular parents. their idea of the afterlife is NOT apparently anywhere close to the bibles #the bibles sure is. something #so everyone non christian goes to like eternal hell or something? and then every dead christian comes to life for 1000 years on earth??? #wild okay. and then after 1000 years specifically all christians go to heaven forever??? #so are hell and heaven eternal i guess? and 1000 years of zombies/re alive people just... cause 1000 was the number #i am. so very glad my family didnt go to church and does not believe bible verses to be literal #i... i suppose all people of whatever religion must feel as perplexed as me hearing of another religion i suppose. maybe #i suppose if anything. i may believe in reincarnation and. parents believe in possibly temporary #ur in heaven or waiting place etc for some time then reincarnate. but no eternal heaven no 1000 year heaven #and my family doesnt think hell exists. so no ones damned no one goes to hell. its all just reborn #maybe if y were a #worm in one life u would think it was hell? or heaven i guess depends on ur desires. #i guess beliefs im used to probably sound bizarre to someone who believes in heaven. #thats how life goes

#zeno's art #i'm not sure if i should tag the show itself as i'm not a fan but i guess its “fan”art so i will #hazbin hotel #charlie hazbin hotel #vivziepop #i was bored and wanted to draw something #my main goal here was to create a design that looked distinct and could (potentially) be moderately easy to animate #of course based on charlie's character i added as many angel images as possible through the hair and bowtie #(i know white on white is a character design sin but i wanted to show the angel wing detail ;w;) #also to express the personality and juxtaposition of a sweet devil her horns are supposed to curve into a heart shape #of course the garterbelts are upside-down/st peters crosses because of her satanic themes #i also tried to go harder into the goat theme but its still subtle i think #i actually think the goat theme is really interesting because of the story of the sheep and the goats in the bible #but i cant remember if it was actually something intended in her original design #i'm not going to draw anyone else so dont even anticipate that #this was basically a cooldown? ok i think i'm rambling now #goodbye #ok edit to say it clearly: i am not a fan of vivziepop or her work. i just wanted to redesign charlie as a cooldown/exercise for fun #because i used to be a fan of the character before i wised up about what vivzie had and has done #and before i matured and noticed the cracks and fundamental flaws in her works #so yea i dont support her at all and this redesign is critical i guess #also the reason why the tag “vivziepop” is there in the first place is so that anyone who has that tag silenced can scroll past #without seeing anything related to her work. in case that clears anything up #its the same reason why i tag “long post” and “food” and the like

Does anyone have any good tips and tricks for studying the bible at home by yourself?

I read the bible every day, but I don't really study it, and even though I know a lot of topics and verses off by heart, I still don't always know what context a specific verse may be in when it comes to mind or where it is in the bible, and I want to get better at that.

I am really not doing well in my attempts to really study the bible, and I want to know if anyone else has any insights or some wisdom to share.

Season 2 of ST:TOS has been fantastic, and by that I mean that there are some iconic and super fun episodes sprinkled in with some super weird ones. But that's TOS.

Anyway, I just watched The Gamesters of Triskelion yesterday , and for the most part I would have to put it more in the super weird category. The costume design was, um, interesting, as was Kirk's initial method of taking down the system, but I digress.

For most of the episode, I was rolling my eyes at or gagging at scenes involving Shahna, Jim's drill thrall (not because of her, because of Jim)

She felt like a hapless... Creature for most of the episode, reminding me of the villagers from The Apple more than anything, especially in Kirk's approach to reasoning with her.

But the end of the episode kind of saves the entire thing for me. She looks up with hope and longing, not necessarily for Jim, but for freedom, even more than she has just been granted. She is full of wonder that she has been deprived of her entire life, and the first thing she wants to do after being released from her servitude is not any simple freedom. She wants to rocket forward through eons of societal and scientific advancement so she can go to the stars.

That made me love her a lot actually, and now I want nothing more than to see her actually in Starfleet. Does anyone else think about this or am I just crazy?

I decided to give a go to @niennanir’s lovely print-your-own-fic recipe on my Inside and Out as a test run and I’m quite pleased with the results as a first pass :D

I wish I’d taken a few more process pictures but there was a slight lull as I had to go shopping for 12x12 cardstock lol, but! I do have a couple closeups/extras that I added for funsies :D

I went with freehanding the title and I think in the future I would opt to not do that lol, at least not without a printed template. That said, both LibreOffice and SAI refuse to recognize my SCII fonts >:0 If you notice on the first page, I used the Ace Attorney font in italic haha, it’s an okay alternative even if it’s not what I actually want |0 I am happy with the gold detailing tho :3c

I did have an unconscionable amount of fun freehanding the ship caption tho ahh <3 <3 Immediate happy stims upon completion, their names together look so pretty ♥ Credit to Zarla’s original minicomic on that one :3

I also managed to get the last sentence of the fic isolated on the last page thanks to the formatting haha ♪

I was also able to add a bookmark! Ma happened to have a couple very thin ribbons to choose from and red ended up complementing the green very prettily!
