You (as a really kind soul) helping Jean, Albedo and Kaeya with babysitting Spark Knight.

You can understand that Jean is really busy and Albedo also busy, but for Kaeya you have some thoughts. Diluc once told you, that insted of sitting with Klee he was in Tavern.

Today was a busy day today, you helped Sara with meal delivery and you helped Noell with few heavy things. And the last thing you need to do is - take Klee from Albedos Dragon spine “office” back to Mondstadt.

You actually did that. You managed to get up on cold and dangerous mountain where Albedo set up his camp, how many times you asked why they dont fix this wooden bridge. And finally you found Klee and her Brother Albedo! What a relief.

- Yes!! Y\N you did it! Klee and brother Albedo started getting worried about you! I thought that you where fighting with Big Ice Monster!!

- Big Ice Monster?

-Khm, unluckily yes, I spotted Lawachurl on the way to my base but luckily for you he went different way after short time. - said Albedo

- Oh, Klee also want to give you a present, right Klee?

- Ah Yes! Hehehehee, here! Drawing of you Y/N! Brother Albedo helped me with your hair and eyes, cause Klee dont remember how they looked.

Helped with haird and eyes, so thats why he stared at you for few minutes.

Klee gave you a drawing. There was you, Klee, Albedo and who’s that? Oh thats Kaeya. You where holding hands with Albedo and Klee while Kaeya was holding Klees hand and in other hand he holding … a sword or a bottle…. Lets think that its a sword. Oh, and she havent forgot her best friend, Dodoko! And there is a big red heart above everyone. And when you looked on the other side of drawing there was a massage for you:

“Y/N! Thank you for playing with me and saving from Master Jean! You are the great hero for Klee, Klee is hoping that you will have more time with Klee because loves you!”

Oh wow, thats really sweet of her, you can stop smiling! You carefully put drawing inside your bag and hugged her!

- Awh, Klee that so sweet of you. And surely i can spent more time with you!

You become really close friends with Diona. You 4 time a week visiting her in Cats Tail.

When you too met each other for the first time and you havent ordered an alcoholic drink but instead you ordered milkshake/juice/nonalcoholic coctail, that surprised her!

One time you walked her home after your and hers work. That was late night and rainy. You already falling asleep at your big,comfy bed with warm blanket you heard knock at your door. You sleepy went to open the door

-Uhh, whos there?

- Can you let me in? Its cold outside..

Wait what? Diona ? Ofc you opened door to her

- D-diona what are you-

- Hes drunk again! I can’t believe it!! - she angrily said and went to your house

-I need to destroy wine industry!! And why my dad not listening to me!? - her ears when down and her eyes become teary

- I just want to end this…

Thats it, can you adopt this kid please? Okay, think Y/N what can you do to make her happy? You dont have much to do, maybe drawing competition?

- Hey, wanna have a drawing competition? You can draw whatever you want and whos drawing going to be best wins!

-I- uh, you better be ready! Cause im already wining!! Hehe

And competition started. You noticed that she sometimes looks at you but you dont really care cause you trying to draw a horse. You never thought that horse are so hard to draw.

-Im done! Your not? Faster im curious!!

- hey, wait a little bit! I have only few things to end with!

- nope, its late already i have work tomorrow!!

- uh, okay okay.

HELLO hello You Wanted that analysis? i may be completely random but this is something i myself have noticed and thought about before, so, if you will!!!!

shin’s personality during the death game isn’t that much like midori ater all. there’s a lot of differences and yet i can see why he considers it ‘becoming‘ midori

letsseeeee, the differences

- midori is... midori is just so Social, you know? shin only appears when he thinks he needs to, and otherwise hangs out with the few allyships he‘s made, or does things alone. as made obvious by gin’s little nicknames. midori is Not like that at all

- the way they act when feeling negative emotions. while they both do tend to get lost when in a big panic during the times where they get caught on their mistakes, as well as focusing on one set goal to the point they lose track of other things they couldve done and frget any mistakes, this is not something shin could’ve copied. we barely even see midori in such situations and there is no way for shin (before the death game, the timid friendly teenager, mind you) to know what midori is like when in panic. midori just wouldnt ever show him that. i dont believe it

anyway! onto the other part i wanted to explan in this. their negative feelings. midori is completely insistent on acting happy and joyful during the majority of the chapter. while i understand this may partially be the excitement it gives him, i believe he also hides his negative emotions to many lengths unless he’s caught. his fear of death is what causes him to show those bad feelings because it’s just so.... frightening. to him. i think he has had this fear of death before the chapter, even, because even when midori jokes about his own death he has also been shown to struggle with imagining himself in situations he isnt in at that moment. this may be related to his empathy - he cant put himself in others shoes so neither can he in other situations than the ones he goes through atm (not to say low empathy is bad, but midori has it and it explains his behavior). its why he goes all ‘hahaha im dead!!!!!’ when speaking to the cast about it but breaks into a panic when he’s actually about to die. sorry for the midori analysis here haha, but anyway point being here midori hides his negative feelings so much while shin puts in less effort for such

- that reminds me! the next point! the way they care about others (if they even do). midori does NOT understand caring, obviously, and deals with it unhealthily. shin cares SO MUCH sometimes, to the point he lets lose of all else to save the one he cares about so much, kanna. he also shows little aspects that shows he wants kanna to be alright (and this part is about compassion, not empathy, because midori does not want the others to be okay. shin does. shin feels compassion, midori does not).

- the way they stand in situations! by this i mean, midori‘s possessiveness. midori Really wants to control the situations he is in and will do anything to have control of the others. it’s also a part of the reason he broke into a panic. he not only had to face death, he also lost control of what was going on and couldnt do Anything about that. when he begged for sara to let him live at the end of 3b, it shows that his fear of death is greater than anything else, because he even lost his controlling little shenanigans in order to find a way to survive. shin drops all else when the ones he cares about get in danger, midori loses it when he fears this fear.

- not a very important, yet very obvious point however: midori comes off as energetic, and shin is moreso ‘calm’

this leads me to a certain conclusion! shin did Not want to copy midori’s personality. he wanted to copy his idea of him. shin knows midori is strong however a bad person, and reminds himself if he becomes the biggest asshole there can be, he can be strong, like midori. thats just the way shin thinks. he believes the strong aren’t kind, so in that he copied the fact that midori is bad, not midori as a person.

i will just say i completely agree, especially with the last part. shin's idea of a "strong person" is faulted from the very beginning and he has a hard time understanding that you don't need to be evil to be strong because that's what he saw, what he learnt from midori. (this also explains a lot about his relationship with sara – he's convinced that only a cruel person would be able to win, therefore sara must be a bad person. i guess that's quite obvious but felt like mentioning it anyway hdkdjd)

i've always found it a bit weird how sara and some other characters say that midori is so much like shin, because honestly, i think shin did a terrible job copying him (which is, you know, understandable). i guess it makes sense, unlike the player they only saw his worst moments, still, like you've already explained in great detail there are some MAJOR differences between the two

you know, their relationship kind of reminds me of when someone tries to copy a famous person who seemingly has it all together and attempt to become that idealized version of them they created in their head. does that make sense?

Does YTTD will ever have happy endings?

Do you believe that? Idk. I cannot say i believe but cant say i doubt either. I keep reexamining old stuff nankidai already made and i believe that nankidai always dropped hints of future chapter from the beginning of chapter 1, but what i will explain is my interpretation. Real stuff might be different. Will explain below. YTTS spoiler

Ah yes, i dont think any hints dropped by nankidai is trivial. Most of the trivial stuff he dropped actually come true in future chapter, just not that obvious/direct.

This is just a sudden reaction, but there is this one ending of YTTS when you can escape with touko and rei with boat.

If i remember correct, its not a happy end. No happy end in ytts. I cant upload more than 10 pics but it said that they believed that they will reach the harbor, but it never reach, then the text after that really hit me real hard because it said like everyone thinks there will be a happy end, the escape is the happy ending everyone would come up with, but in the end they never reach any harbor. It feels like it was talking about the players or possibly sara. Then this "???" Dialouge come up. I believe the one who said that is sara, she cant bear watching the happy end everyone thinks of, possibly because she is the only one survived. But there is the other person who **sniff** , possibly the other survivor/or maybe their dolls or safalin. In yttd, you can win w/ 2 person but one must become a doll. I wonder why the game set it up like that. In the manga they even make that two person symbol is male and female. Future hints? On the other ytts ending the ??? only said repeat but in this end and the other sara end has special dialogues. It can implies that sara is the only survivor or she survived with someone else. And she is saddened when she see that they can escape altogether (before their hopes crushed) in one of ytts ending. She said she cant see this end and it will only hurt her. It gives her trauma. But when mishima escaped in sara end, she seems more heartless or unreactive? Maybe she already accepted the fact that only 1 can escape that she didnt care and just repeat. Ok but why i suddenly thinks she is the only survivor/or with one more person? There is one sketch of nankidai that only sara wins, and then miley celebrates with the reward for sara to watch video compilations of all the events of the game. Kinda similar with how ytts set up. Sara is watching all of them. Looks like loosely connected but it all match ups with the setting. maybe i will tell other theory that is already hinted from chapter 1/sketch to chapter 2 and 3, maybe when i have free time. So thats why i dont take this lightly. Unless there's actually a plot twists or nankidai already changed the story. I think the last mc of ytts,sara, will have something special that summarize all of the events. Idk how to say this, but hoping nankidai to not kill of more chara in 3-2 is like a pipe dream when he's already merciless with latest chapter, idk if i can even hope that there will be more survivors. I just remembered the other sketch of yttd as machine where there is input and output. The input is someone who are curious about the game and the output is.. that person get out and is having bad mood/miserable/something that are not happy. But it was drawn long time ago when only chapter one is out at the time if i'm not mistaken. I'm not sure if the context is intended on chapter 1-2 or overall game. Thats it........ But then there's someone who still thinks one route will have happy end and discourse other person who play the other route 24/7 just for the personal satisfication to make others feel bad and feels superior for chooshing the "right choice", well if you know how yttd english fandom is like full of minor/kids with superiority complex that have so much time to argue with everyone everyday 👀 idc what is your opinion, what you think of the end or you are right or not, its fine either way, but if you keep tryinh to pick fights with someone else instead of not engaging in something you dont prefer, your life will also rewards you with people trying to pick fights with you, disrespect you or life will be filled with stressful things becuase you keep trying to argue and spend so much time to think and counter every reply of the statement/arguments you made. You get what you give. Sorry for trailing off but tbh yttd fandom is not that safe anymore that it kinda become main issue everytime anyone just wanna made any statement/opinion. So i have to write this to shoo off certain someone

GG Rewatch Q&A - 1x02

1. What was your favourite scene of the episode? Tell us why!

There are a lot of gems for me in this episode. Top 3:

Sarah’s soccer game - I love the Hills and all of their scenes are so genuine. I love when Stan yells “We’re winning!” and Sarah yells back “No we’re not!” Its so cute (I love a good father/daughter interaction and Stan is the best father on the show).

The Dick Pic - “She going to cut off his PENIS!”

“What am I LOOKING AT!”

I guess what I’m saying is I love any scene Ruby is in.

P.S. I also love the math tutoring scene but Ruby isn’t in it so point have to be deducted.

2. Was there any scene that missed the mark for you? And if so, how?

It didn’t necessarily miss the mark because it’s a bad scene or doesn’t fit with the story BUT I hate when Dean starts talking about Beth as if she’s a car. I hate Dean and I hate any scene he’s in (except when he gets shot...thats a fave).

That being said the overall scene is actually very funny. They should have made that customer trying to buy a car a running gag because that actor was very funny.

3. This episode features Beth’s iconic! gamechanging! monologue! Do you think Rio was intending to kill the girls? And if so, at what point in Beth’s speech do you think he changed his mind?

He was definitely going to kill them.

I don’t think the actual content of the speech changed his mind, but rather Beth herself having the nerve to stand up to him with a gun (literally) to her head. I actually think Rio probably has other ~nondescript~ people on his pay role and that he really didn’t need the girls to do anything for him. But I think Beth intrigued him enough in that moment that he wanted to see what she would do.

4. This episode also introduces Marion to us! What do you think of her? And knowing how her story ends in 3.08, what do you think of her arc and her relationships with Boomer and Annie respectively?

Marion reminds me a lot of my own grandmother, who loved me and raised me, but also called black people colored. My biggest issue with Marion is not with Marion as a character, but rather Annie’s connection with Marion.

Like they made Marion an overt racist and had Ruby point it out multiple times, but for what? I think they should have actually had Annie struggle with the reality of loving/caring for someone who is racist. That’s something that many people deal with and have to come to terms with in real life. It could have been interesting to explore those complex feelings. But instead they just have Ruby call her a racist twice.

Dont care about her relationship with Boomer - no thoughts on that.

5. Ruby has her only (so far at least) direct interaction with Rio in this episode! What do you think of that dynamic in this episode, and where would you like to see it go in the future?

How different would the show have been if they had made Rio bring the gang to Ruby’s house...

I want the show to explore Ruby and Annie’s relationships with Rio/the gang more. It would be both funny and interesting because:

They are both still afraid of him BUT they also know he had sex with Beth which I feel like Annie wouldn’t be able to help but comment on and if Annie says something Ruby would probably also say something; and

Ruby and Annie say absolutely wild things and we deserve to see Rio’s reactions more (i.e. Im not putting anything up my butt).

6. How do you think Beth and Annie got Boomer into the treehouse?

They tied a jump rope around his waste and dragged him up the slide.

7. This episode seems ambiguous about Greg and Nancy’s roles in Ben’s life up to this point. How long do you think Greg and Nancy have been together, and how close do you think Ben is with them at this point?

I think Nancy and Greg have been together between 3-5 years, but are recently married. Ben and Greg seem fairly close and I think Greg as always been involved in raising Ben. I think Ben likes Nancy generally, but probably finds her a little annoying. Also I think Ben likes being at their places and having all the comforts that they can afford BUT he’d never say that because he’s a mama’s boy.

8. Do you think Beth ever went back (or thought about going back) for Dean’s grandmother’s ring?

No.

9. What do you think Stan was thinking when he woke up to Ruby making all those lasagnas? What do you think he was thinking when he, Sara and Harry ate so much of it?

He probably thought she was stress cooking. I don’t think they ate that much of it, but just left the note as a way of telling Ruby they love and appreciate her.

10. Has Beth ever seen a dick pic before?

No, but I think Dean would have sent her one if he had a camera phone in high school.

11. Is Greg still in love with Annie at this point in the series? Or does he fall in love with her again later in the season? Or not at all?

I think he loves her at this point, but he becomes infatuated with her later.

12. That! Hook! What do you think made Rio go back to Beth’s house? What do you think made him take a chance on her?

Cornyns view on a possible human role in climate change is insinuated for a Republican and doubly so for a Republican from oil country. Which is adamantly not to say he favors emissions regulations.

I am not one that denies that human beings have an impact on the environment, Cornyn said in a phone call with Texas reporters in May. But I am sure not willing to put the federal government in charge of trying to micromanage the environment for the United States of America, nor for us to drive up the price of energy for people on fixed income, like seniors and people of modest means, by putting restrictions in place that other nations are not.

Even broaching the topic with some political conservatives can be challenging, said U.S. Rep. John Curtis, a Republican from Utah.

He compared the reflexive reaction many conservatives have when it comes to climate change to how Democrats feel when they hear about former President Donald Trumps U.S.-Mexico border wall.

Their chest tightens, he told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

I think climate has been like that for Republicans, right? Just the word climate has all these agendas, the Green New Deal and Al Gore kind of associated with it, and I think thats turned them off.

Last week, Curtis launched the Conservative Climate Caucus – a group in Congress that already boasts a roster of more than 50 Republicans to try to educate colleagues and brainstorm ideas to deal with climate change.

Curtis said he envisions field trips to look at electric vehicle manufacturing or forest fire damage, a big worry in the western United States right now.

But hes not keen on virtually eliminating use of fossil fuels – something scientists say is crucial to limiting dangerous warming – instead preferring a switch to cleaner ones.

I think theres a role for fossil fuels, he said. If were able to export U.S. natural gas to China and it displaced coal, that would have dramatic impacts on worldwide carbon emissions.

Curtis acknowledged that among a certain set of conservative voters, winning heart and minds on climate change will take much more work.

On the other policies included in the survey, majorities of Democrats and of Republicans do not agree. Minorities of Republicans and majorities of Democrats favor carbon pricing policies and increased gasoline taxes. In general, majorities of Democrats and minorities of Republicans believe that federal stimulus packages should include provisions to invest in the development of new technologies and in maintenance to reduce future emissions.

They need to be ensuring that the United States makes the transition away from fossil fuels in a way that is fiscally viable for the American people.;

In line with Bidens climate plan, Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, a moderate Democrat,;signed an executive order in November 2020 creating the Climate Initiatives Task Force, aimed at making the state carbon neutral by 2050. But Smith called the task force;money down the;drain. He said the task force is funding research already conducted by other administrations and a;performative action.;

Its very much the case of John Bel kicking the can down the road. The task force is saying theyre going to show us the results in five years, Smith said. But itll be too late at that point.;

Blunt has acknowledged that climate change exists and said we have a social responsibility to help the environment. He also has said, however, that the human role in climate change is unclear. understands that any energy policy aimed at reducing greenhouse gases should be carefully considered in the context of Americas already fragile economy, a spokesman for Blunt told the Springfield News-Leader in 2011. The worst outcome is that we pass policies so onerous that we drive jobs overseas to countries where they dont care as much about what comes out of their smokestacks as we do.

Why Republicans Still Dont Care About Climate Change

Mary Nichols has been part of the struggle to prevent catastrophic climate change for about as long as anyone in American life. For years, shes directed Californias pathbreaking efforts to reduce carbon emissions as the chair of the California Air Resources Boarda position she held first in the 1970s before taking it up again in 2007. Nichols has also served at the federal level, working as the chief regulator for air pollution at the Environmental Protection Agency under President Bill Clinton in the 1990s. And yet even Nichols has never seen anything that crystallizes the dangers of climate change more clearly than the historic outbreak of wildfires scorching California and other western states this year.

Yes, absolutely, she told me earlier this week, when I asked her whether this years fires are the most tangible danger to California that shes seen from climate change. Its not suddenly going to reverse itself to years when theres no fire season, or its not going to happen until October. The changes are going to be real, and they are going to be long-lasting.

What we have now is the absolute environmental demonstration or evidence of just how dramatic the impact of climate change is going to be. This is not going to stop, Browner told me. There is going to be something next year, and the year after, if we dont get on it.

Fundamental Beliefs And Attitudes

For 14 out of 21 survey questions posed to American respondents about fundamental beliefs and attitudes regarding global warming, majorities of Democrats and Republicans alike hold green opinions in 2020.

For example, 94% of Democrats believe global warming has been happening, as do 67% of Republicans. 94% of Democrats and 56% of Republicans think warming will continue in the future if nothing is done to address it. 94% of Democrats and 69% of Republicans believe that if warming has been happening, human actions have been responsible for causing it.

Majorities of Democrats and of Republicans also agree about the likely effects of global warming98% of Democrats and 54% of Republicans believe global warming will be a very or somewhat serious problem for the US if nothing is done to address it. Some 97% of Democrats and 60% of Republicans believe that global warming will be a very or somewhat serious problem for the world if nothing is done to address it.

However, the partisans diverge on whether specific temperature changes have been or will be bad. Whereas 88% of Democrats believe that the warming that has happened over the past 100 years was bad, only 40% of Republicans believe that. And whereas 84% of Democrats believe that a 5-degree Fahrenheit increase in world temperature over the next 75 years would be bad, only 50% of Republicans agree.

A majority of Republicans now admit that climate change does exist, according to a new poll.

The Monmouth University survey revealing a growing number of Americans acknowledge climate change is happening, and that most of them believe its becoming an issue.

Almost two-thirds of Republicans, 64 per cent, believe global warming exists. That number has increased from 49 per cent three years ago.

Those who have criticized climate change are all over the place. You have those who say were going through global cooling, or that theres nothing going on different with the weather at all, or that any changes occurring are natural, not human-made, or its the fault of other countries.

With such an inconsistent message, its no wonder that the AP-NORC poll showed only nine percent of Americans are climate deniers. While 19 percent say they are unsure, the remaining 70+ percent not only recognize the climate is changing, but most of them also trust the science that says human activity is contributing greatly to this. If climate change becomes an election issue in 2020, it doesnt look so good for the GOP and Donald Trump.

Its All In A Name: Global Warming Versus Climate Change

More people believe in climate change than in global warming, according to a University of Michigan study published in Public Opinion Quarterly. Wording matters, says Jonathon Schuldt, a Ph.D. candidate in the U-M Department of Psychology who co-authored the study with ISR researchers Sara Konrath and Norbert Schwarz.

For the research, Schuldt, Konrath and Schwarz conducted a question wording experiment in the American Life Panel, an online survey conducted by RAND, with a national sample of 2,267 U.S. adults. Participants were asked to report their level of certainty about whether global climate change is a serious problem.

The good news is that Americans may not be as polarized on the issue as previously thought. The extent of the partisan divide on this issue depends heavily on question wording, says Schwarz.. When the issue is framed as global warming, the partisan divide is nearly 42 percentage points. But when the frame is climate change, the partisan divide drops to about 26 percentage points.

Boehner reliably pleads ignorance to punt on climate change. Listen, Im not qualified to debate the science over climate change, Boehner said in May. But I am astute enough to understand that every proposal that has come out of this administration to deal with climate change involves hurting our economy and killing American jobs. That cant be the prescription for dealing with changes in our climate.

Boehner called the US-China deal the latest example of the presidents crusade against affordable, reliable energy that is already hurting jobs and squeezing middle-class families.

How serious an issue is climate change and what should be done about it? It is not surprising that Democrats and Republicans have different views about these questions as they do about so many issues today. But what is significant now is the depth of their differences on climate change and how much those differences have grown over time. In the April issue of AEIs Political Report, we examined partisans views in recent polls and trends.

When Quinnipiac University asked registered voters in December 2018 about the extreme weather events over the past few years, 90% of Democrats and 24% of Republicans said they were related to climate change. In a similar question asked by Economist/YouGov pollstersin March 2019, 76% of Democrats said the severity of recent weather events were the result of climate change, compared to 17% of Republicans. Seventy-four percent of Republicans said these kinds of events just happen from time to time.

And what about the Green New Deal? In the limited number of polls that we have at this point, most Americans are not very familiar with it. Among those who have an opinion, Democrats are more positive than Republicans.

Of the 24 policies, 17 are favored by a majority of Independents, including the 7 that are favored by majorities of Republicans and of Democrats.

Of the seven policies favored by a minority of Independents, two are also favored by minorities of Republicans and Democrats: tax breaks to encourage nuclear power plant construction and increased consumer taxes on electricity.

Four of the other five policies favored by a minority of Independents are: increasing consumer taxes on gasoline, helping companies prevent leaks and pollution from pipelines, spending stimulus money to advance manufacturing of all-electric cars, and installing charging stations for electric cars. For the proposed policy of helping companies make batteries that are smaller and last longer, 50% of Independents were in favor.

For two policies more Republicans than Democrats are in favor, by margins of 13 and 11 percentage points respectively.

Of the remaining 22 policies, more Democrats than Republicans are in favor by margins ranging from 18 to 58 percentage points and averaging 37 percentage points.

In sum, Democrats are generally more supportive of emissions reduction policies than Republicans, and Independents are generally in between those two groups. And although majorities of both Republicans and Democrats agree with one another about some policies, they disagreed on most.

I also see this as us reclaiming our heritage, she said.

But with two-thirds of Americans indicating that the government should do more on climate change a stance that Butcher observed is especially true among young people” she said Republicans need to be talking about these issues and involving the younger generation in the discussions.

The GOP has notoriously struggled with young people, she added.

Republican lawmakers have been attacking the Biden Administrations actions to address the climate crisis. However, not all Republicans align. The party is split and the recent mass power outages during a severe storm in Texas may drive a deeper wedge into the party as Republican lawmakers were seen as having failed their constituents. Okay, I didn’t want to do this more than once, but I guess I have to.

You got that wrong!

First off, this blatantly contradicts the first story, where she said that the British military had muskets, which is, in fact, a type of gun! Secondly, jousting was a game of sport, not a game of murder. And third of all, even if you do lose, you are what people would consider a Mary Sue, because when you do get in trouble after losing, it gets resolved in three paragraphs or less!

Ab character observation. I dont know who possibly could have come with the idea to cut all character observation. Chip Johanessen is very good at character observation. He is kinda fit to Cary and Stiehm on that matter, if you looked at all episodes he wrote for Homeland (and not Homeland only). Sara, who do you think idea it could be? AFG? If you think RN has learned such stupidity from him, what it says about RN himself? that he has no his own strong opinion, i think, thats why AFG keeps him

I’ve seen a lot of chatter lately about Alex Cary and Meredith Stiehm and how they were the only ones who understood how to write these characters. I’m frankly a little bit confused about this. While Meredith Stiehm clearly cared the most about Carrie Mathison as a person (and the Carrie/Quinn relationship overall) and Alex Cary was the same for Quinn, I don’t think they are necessarily the missing ingredient in the writers room. Anyone could have chosen to take up those torches when when Cary and Stiehm departed after the fourth and fifth seasons, respectively. But they didn’t.

The Homeland writers room is extremely collaborative. The writers aren’t all pitching and fighting and competing to write scripts. They break the story together, they put the cards up on the wall, they agree on them, and then someone is assigned to write the outline and script. They all come to a decision on direction and characterization.

As Alex Gansa says often, “the best idea wins.”

So I find it very hard to believe that Meredith and Alex Cary for four or five seasons were fighting tooth and nail against all the other writers for honest, compelling characterization and story for Carrie and Quinn. That just doesn’t make sense to me. I can’t wrap my head around Meredith and Alex Cary being the sole cheerleaders for these respective characters and winning every time. I can’t wrap my head around Alex Gansa not actually giving a shit about Carrie or Quinn this whole damn time, just biding his time to blow it all to hell once Meredith and Alex Cary left.

What I think is far more likely is that the writers room (which, by the way, has been fairly damn consistent since the show’s first season) as a whole becoming increasingly preoccupied and obsessed with telling a “ripped from the headlines” plot that maximized an aging show’s relevance. The producers didn’t always talk so much about the Georgetown field trip every spring, by the way. It’s become a major talking point lately, which shows where the producers' priorities are. Not with telling an honest story about these characters that made sense and validated the investment of multiple seasons, but with inserting every buzzword and current event they could think of into a mishmash of a narrative.

Episode #3- “Have fun in the VL!”- Cheatham

Something is not sitting well with me tbh Gwen tells a few of us that Tim has heard about Noah being a little inappropriate/creepy to some of the female players and it seems like it perfect recipe for him to be voted out, however, he does not receive any votes. Its just puzzling to me why that is the case. I ALSO am wondering that if this is information is true, why Tim chose to make a chat that exckuded some of is from it. This seems like a mess to be honest but not the good kind...I will solve this mystery!

Austin probably wants to vote out Noah, but I'd much prefer to vote Cheatham. Noah and I are good, and Cheatham has already demonstrated that he'd be a terrible ally (which is why he got a vote at the first tribal), so I can't trust him.

WE WON AGAIN! So Sara and I scoped out the Noah situation while we were on the other tribe's beach. Tawni confirmed that it did happen, but that it wasn't so bad that they felt he needed to be ejected from the game. I had a nice chat with Noah, and he recognized my picture from Twitter, which is hilarious. Anyway, I wouldn't be opposed to working with him in the future, but the plan right now is to stay Petrel strong. Cheatham was a "character." He greeted us by saying "Sup hookers," then proceeded to tell us that they were "gay" for not building a shelter. (His word, not mine). A bit off-putting I would say! Anyway, not wanting to work with him. Amy was pretty quiet the whole time. Chris is still my #1 in this game, with Corgis to the F4!!

Its hard wanting to stay loyal to people but also wanting to win .... but I'm gonna do what I have to do to get me to the end game .

Did I already submit one of these this round? My brain is fried!! If I did..it was before the challenge..so we need another anyway because that was awesommmme!! I can't tell if Cheatham is actually high or just pretending but it's p funny regardless! His oversized personality might be a really, really good... invisibility cloak (that's the thing on Harry Potter, right?) for me. All attention will be on him and I can [hopefully] just sliiiide under that radar! Also, idk what the dealy is with Noah and the girls...but pretty sure it was maybe just an innocent mistake. I talked with him plenty and he was fiiiiiine! Idk if he's actually on the bottom or not but he lit sent me a message right before we had to cut contact again saying he needs allies and would like to re-connect come swap/merge and I'm totally down with that!! We love to mix things up! So anyways..aside from the obvious win, I'd say this entire round was a SUCCESS!!

I’m really pretty nervous at this point cause things are looking in prime condition for a swap, but we should have the numbers on new tribes, and I feel pretty strong with the people I’ve been talking with. I really like AnnMarie, Sara and Kyle(which makes it worse since two of them are on my target list) so I’m feeling pretty good

So we are on a win streak! It's great and I'm glad I was able to contribute to this challenge. I feel like when we have no pressure from a tribal council, it is hard to stay in contact with people. I don't talk to my tribe all that often, and although we are friendly to one another, we don't really do much other than challenges or fun jokes about our days. It's lovely, but I am afraid that if we do break our winning streak, things are gonna fall apart. I feel the most distant from Tim. I feel like we don't have that much in common, and our personalities don't really mix, but he is very funny, especially to the hosts. I like how he calls the hosts out, it's the greatest. That's about it. The other tribe has been doing the challenges very oddly. I was talking to Chris about a dumb theory I had. I was thinking that it may be possible they were losing on purpose, to get idols. It's dumb, but it's a possibility. Someone in the other tribe may have an advantage or idol already, and if a swap happens, then everyone in my tribe is at a disadvantage.

well, i think i'm still in a decent position. the last vote saw will going unanimously (he voted me but who cares) and im super glad im still here! my entire tribe had my back on the last vote so thats really good. this vote is a bit more tricky, bc i'm in like 3 different alliances. but i think the general consensus from dylan is to go for cheatham. which i am fine with, because that means me/tawni/dylan are still in and those are the people i'm most loyal to.

We won another immunity which is good, but I got to get to know the other tribe members on Thrush yesterday and I honestly enjoyed it! Sucks they are on a losing streak but it is what it is here. Well we won another immunity challenge LMAO. I’m Honeslty tired of winning and bored I want chaos to ensue. My tribe is great but I think it’s time that I cop some numbers down because I want my alliance to have the numbers and I’m sure we do have the numbers we have a core 4 with everyone having a side alliance kind of like the brigade. I have Kyle in my back pocket and Chris has annmarie and Gwen has Liam so for the most part we have 7. I just need tim to go because I want a shot at the immunity pool and in his bio he stated he likes drama so it’s perfect to get him out before the merge. Overall I’m glad I’m safe but I want to start playing this game !

The Petrel dominance continues! I'm buzzing to be immune again and I love just having the time to get to know these people personally, but I'm dying to have the trust tested! I don't know who's gonna end up having my back if we never go to tribal council, so it's a very mixed bag when it comes to winning all these challenges. Never thought I'd say it, but hopefully we lose, or if there's a swap, I get put on a tribe with Petrels so I can test the waters with these people!
