🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? ...... oh man i barely know, y'know? I was an insatiable reader as a child, and at SOME point that morphed (of course) into wanting to write, and I was JUST at the right cusp of internet availability (given how poor my fam was) to find fanfic for... FMA (original anime) on LJ and ffn, and it felt really accessible, i guess? and everything snowballed from there lmaooo

🥤 ⇢ recommend an author or fanfic you love: IF you enjoy megamind at all, i will ALWAYS recommend Dal, it's been my favorite mm author since i first got INTO the fandom. Specifically I'll shout out With Every Heartbeat I Have Left. If you happen to be into Star Wars in ANY capacity, i'm obligated to recommend Fialleril, literally every work, but also SPECIFICALLY the double agent vader verse. Oughghg. augh.

conrad and knives i'd say...makes sense, doesn't compel me. this is just on account of conrad can try to father figure knives all he likes but at the end of the day i think knives would, like, set him on fire about it. squinting. just because i think knives could ever really reciprocate familial ties after the fall. however, @/soltian does some banger conrad x knives if you're into that! i consider them the conrad expert tbh.

now zazie and knives. zazieknives i can get behind. makes no sense, compels me. they are so strictly shitty boss/underling in canon but i think they have potential for a hilarious dynamic. there is no way in hell knives would ever want to fuck that bug but there are certain Scenarios where he and the bug may fuck and for that i like it very much.

i have low empathy (im autistic which probably causes it but i am also bipolar) and my biggest thing is that i simply Dont…i guess its a fine line between caring and understanding. if something bad happens i dont feel anything even if its something close to me. its as if my brain doesnt acknowledge whatever bad thing has happened (such as world tragedies or the death of a family friend) and i simply go about my day. even if my body reacts sadly (crying etc) theres still that disconnect in my brain. which comes into issues of other people that unless i have personally experienced myself, i cannot put emotional response into it. i will not feel sad because you are feeling sad, i dont feel anything at all.

instead i rely on conscious compassion. where even if i cant empathize or understand, i still acknowledge whats going on even when i dont at my core ‘care’ about the issue. <- or at least care in the traditional understanding of care.

i might be biased with my low empathy, low emotion so my experiences might not be universal with others with low empathy but this is how i live my life at least! simpliest way to explain. i just dont feel anything but not in a ‘void in myself’ type of way. just an unemotionally attached way

The hotel they were staying at kicked them out not caring if they had a place to stay or not, only caring that the source of money had left.

Jazz couldn't show how scared she actually was, not when Danny was looking at her with complete faith that she could somehow fix this.

How he managed to keep that faith after a day of jumping at shadows like they held enemies and vending machine food for lunch was a mystery.

She's tired, she's stressed, and she needs an adult.

Like an actual adult and not her much loved but very scatterbrained parents, Vlad did not count either.
