oh, of course! tending to your wounds—his wounds—happens to be his favourite ritual; well, right behind gifting you those injuries, that is. he always forces you into the clawfoot tub, even if you don’t necessarily need a bath; always makes sure the water is just a hint too hot, so he can devour that adorable little wince the moment the water stings your skin; and always cleanses your body head-to-toe, paying special attention to the gashes and bites and scratches he’s etched into your flesh—new and old. he revels in the sweet little gasps he pulls from your throat when he presses a touch too hard, the precious little hisses spit from between clenched teeth when he grinds soap into a fresh cut, murmuring out in that syrupy tone, oh, does that hurt, sweetheart? <3

top 5 blazblue character designs

YIPPEE BLAZBLUE

I feel like my tastes are known but I still will take this chance to gush a bit about the characters and design philosophy of em that Ive always been real fond of :)

No particular order here or else I'll be here all night formatting on mobile. More under the cut!

HAKUMEN it goes without saying I LOVE HAKUMEN'S DESIGN SO MUCH. The taloned tabi, the silhouette of wide pants and closefitted shinguards/torso. The faces/eyes scattered across his armour while the face is totally blank—made more unreadable and inhuman by the slats of neck guard. Fox-ears built into the helm shape to feel both animal and mechanical like antennae...and obviously the longass hair to sell the "tailed" look.

I remember reading really early on into liking BlazBlue—I can't remember the source, come maul me if I'm wrong—I read that Hakumen as a character and design was made when Mori was in middle or highschool, the idea of "what is really cool," and much of those ideas stayed. I not only really respect that and think its charming as someone who still likes MY own designs from that time, but, as it turns out, middle schoolers are still right. Hakumen is very cool. Augh. Fucking? Time travelling fox-robot samurai who's here to kill his brother to save him and also himself because his old self wanted to do the same thing for the wrong reason and thay thought disgusts him. Also him and Tsubaki in general make me start to choke (positive). God ok I have four more guys to discuss. Yes i also like Susanoo but I feel like thats a copout, I like that he's both animalistic and brutal martial arts as the God of War. Anyways CONTINUING

VALKENHAYN R HELLSING I will admit that he is an old man in a suit and that speaks to me but that he's one of the strongest beings alive as a old man in a suit ohh. And he's a werewolf ohhhh. Shifting just his body parts to kick and rip with his claws, quickly leaping back and forth between a normal bone-breaking jab or knee or biting and snarling—the dance between raw force and refined precision and a brutal tear's always been sooo cool to see and think about. I also think his ribbon in his hair moving to his wolfy tail is very cute. A man of sharp extremes from refined to flashing his fangs, human and wolf, cool and very cute. I like him :)

TSUBAKI YAYOI her uniform is so nice uruururururugh. Big cape and the way it drapes around her in combat like wings... Her sword and buckler/Izayoi looking so unique for being a "basic sword and shield for the hero"-type of deal! The eye on her hat's always been really striking too—the only "cold" colours being her and her uniforms eyes.....................Sparing a glance at Hakumen's recurring red eyes for no reason here. Knightly angel women and her flower-like "tassets" hanging off her clothes. Its a uniform which plausibly feels like it could be a uniform—she doesn't have anything uniquely "hers" or "for this female character" while still being really standout and clean. Her design's just really good guys. You can do so much.

Really want to mention her masked look too at least really quick here. my girllllll...

RAGNA THE BLOODEDGE well of course I really like his design. Yeah him being here is partially obligation because I love his character a lot but both things inform each other in the end. Mr Grim Reaper, Enemy of the World, red-and-black with a demon's arm on one side and a rebuilt one on the other. His big red coat and the oversize shoulders! The massive baggy pants—I love the silhouette he has. Blood Scythe/Aramasa/His sword transforming and able to clack around and shift's just. Always been such a cool design. Seithr-powered man, devil-smoke powered man, ashes of your own old dead self-powered man. Ragna is fucking cool auauauuuaghrhg.

And it DOES only make it more charming that he has a good heart, has a bit of a Kicked Puppy charm about him if you can pardon uhh that implication. He is just some fucking guy and he likes barbecues. He is sweet and cares for stray cats. His dad is a cat. He blows up the government regularly. He's a rebel who visually looks really clean if "intentionally trying to look like someone you should think is cool", which is both dork-charming and cute and also actually yeah cool because it's not a visual mess.

I like that his arm underneath is all belts and bandaged—Bloodedge only wearing half his coat for example is such a good look and it shows his clean black shirt underneath, which feels a lot like... Under that big eyecatching rebel coat of his (personality), Ragna's... Ragna, I don't know. I hope that makes sense. Knowing his personality makes me like his design a lot more than if I didn't I think.

As mentionned in Hakumen's block of text however: I already really like chuuni-ass designs, so combined in Ragna he makes me unwell entirely.

Kitty peepaw. I am cheating slightly here. I like the Kaka Kittens' big hoods too and think they're very cute and very eyecatching and I adore them always—the kittens especially being stompy little things that travel in packs are really cute. I love that Jubei, actual strongest thing in the world, has the oversized paw sleeves too. There's cat claws bigger than his body stored in what looks like emo kids' oversize hoodie sleeves. He's so simple and still the imagery of that coat gets reused several times over and it looks good every time. Orange kitty peepaw. AND he has an eyepatch, how can I not like eyepatches.

There are my 5 favourite BlazBlue designs :> Sorry if them all being C series or smth is boring wauh. I can spend as long as I want thinkinh about it but I do always seem to come back to these guys, give or take one change depending on the mood. Unchanging faves are Hakumen and Tsubaki for sure and forever though.

this po.kepasta is centered around carmine's downfall, so rhys has always been there his whole life - a major inspiration to carmine. but for the sake of the pasta ill cut straight to the HORROR(tm). rhys enters the story when he realizes that his brother is missing - just like the rest of the victims in kanto. he fears for his wellbeing and tries to find someone who is aware of the issue (who is redwoo.d, theyre acquainted) and redwo.ods most recent rumor of seeing the ghost is at that abandoned pok.ecenter and they both went off to find it.

which they do, watching ghost torturing poor carmine to hell and back and it's even hard to tell if carmine's moving, or its just the puppeteering movements doing it. it angered rhys to the core and he wanted to battle ghost even if it meant hurting himself. he's a champion, he's got this, right? right? ....

Hey there!! Omg I'm so happy you enjoyed the latest piece! It was just a silly idea but I had a lot of fun making it, especially with rendering dear Ruza's lovestruck face, so good to know you enjoy it as much as I do lmao 😂 In general though, I'm honestly delighted you like her and think about her so much!!! I seriously didn't count on people having so much affection for her, but I am beyond grateful that you and a handful of others indeed do 💙✨️

But anyways!!! You and a couple of others asked the same question, and I am more than happy to answer! I think I can imagine what your guess might be as to the origin of Ruza's new scars, and you might be half right, at least. The one on her lip came from a certain church-goer's blade after the blood moon rises, with no thanks to Ruza's ailing heart making her hesitate in the conflict. Ordinarily, a regular person couldn't hope to land a blow on a seasoned hunter so easily, but it was certainly not an ordinary situation. The fact that her outfit has changed and the badge of her creed from her scarf is now missing are also both consequences of that same, sad state of affairs.

But the scars on Ruza's eye were actually not acquired until her second hunt, and the cause of which was a lot more mundane, for a hunter at least.

She was unable to leave the dream the first time after completing her hunt, despite asking to and wanting quite dreadfully to be set free, and was thus dragged right back to square one to start all over again. This time around, she took her first foray into the Hunter's Nightmare, which to be frank was a little more dangerous than she had initially prepared for; and while trying to acquire her Beasthunter Saif, she was ambushed by a beastclaw hunter. It was something of a challenging fight for her, particularly because she had no more vials at her disposal and was already worn down from the road she took to get there. Lucky for her, she is still a force to be reckoned with. Unlucky for her, she suffered a blow to the face among several other injuries in the process of taking that hunter down, the scars of which still remain! However, she was aided by a ✨️mysterious cooperator✨️ that was drawn to the skirmish and who ends up being revealed to be extremely important later on. So while the cause of these scars were mundane, the aftermath definitely was not!

firstly, this was for my lee!george week - and we all are aware of how I am with george and his ribs, so this should be no surprise to anyone who has ever read my fics before ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and like I said in the tags on this fic I literally sent cal a diagram of the exact rib I was talking about and we had a very thorough conversation about it

I think originally, it was just gonna be snf or knf. but then when I was thinking about it, the idea of two people getting both sides of his ribcage so that every single bone is getting the attention it deserves????? it was waaaay too good to pass up. so it became a banter fic :D

I found some brainrot of this fic with cal, and we were literally laughing about how sapnap would never let george talk to karl with any type of attitude, and just kept talking about different ways that they could fuck up his ribs and make him scream. it was......truly something 🫠

also! I kept replaying this clip of george's laugh from banter (my favorite laugh of his ever to date) and kept imagining him laughing all cutely like this throughout the whole thing - besides when he was literally dying and screaming, of course :D

so like...long story short, there wasn't a huge reason this fic came to be, basically just knew I wanted to focus on a day for ribs for lee!george week and this is what happened!

As someone who really enjoys all flavors of Dabi headcanons, it’s real nice to have variety. Sometimes sweet and soft and tender is good. Sometimes awful and monstrous is good. I think both readings (and everything in between) with the right kind of background can be valid. You’ve built your own story with your own history behind it, and it breathes a wonderful kind of legitimacy into your head canons, and I love that. People’s headcanons are always going to be colored by who _they_ are and what they want out of a character, though. What someone else wants or needs is no reflection on you. I know you’re down on yourself a lot, but you have every right to feel and want the things you do, and you shouldn’t let other people’s takes on a character rob you of the joy your headcanons bring you and other people who enjoy them.

I know that’s easier said than done of course; I can’t just speak confidence into existence. I like some rotten Dabi headcanons myself, but I come back to see you explore the sweeter, sadder, and more tender side of his character all the time because I love it just as much. That isn’t to say you should subject yourself to both if it hurts you, of course! No shame, no bully. I mean it mostly to say that there are those of us frolicking in hell who still appreciate and love the soft humanity you bring to his character all the same. You’re good at it, and the art you make for it is so evocative. I love the stuff you do with him and Abi. It’s great and I check for your stuff every day, here and on Twitter. ): need my daily dose!

I know times are tough right now (I cannot stand all these new chapters and I am going out of my mind crazy with it all) but c’mon lady! You gotta value yourself. No amount of any one else being feral dinguses (myself included) should invalidate your own feelings and takes. If anyone tries to make you feel bad about it, they’re legit scum sucking but babies.

Honestly I'm super happy that you enjoy my iteration of his character ; - ; and I'm really happy that you enjoy the content I do with him and Abiteth (especially because of how much she means to me personally, it's so difficult for me to fall in love with my OCs sometimes but I definitely fell in love with her). Canon Dabi will always be one of my faves and I know that I can't write him the way Horikoshi does (because I DO like to explore the aspects of his character we don't get to see).

And yeah, the current chapters are just WOO. I will keep trying in the future to have more confidence in my ideas, hopefully soon I can share even more AUs with everyone.
