red robin 2009 could have logically ended with tam getting with steph. yuri goggles aside even. tam already looked at her like she wanted her, and steph has enough similarities to tim (the ones that made tam like him—vigilante/hero type, gives her the adrenaline rush she likes, has Hidden Depths) without all the tim that doomed them to be nothing more than a weird kind-of ex situation. tam loves a failgirl and a mentally ill freak and steph is both of those with a sprinkle of denial that makes her New and Exciting. this is my pitch

the imperative thing about the version of tamsteph that exists in my mind is that it is just. not about tim. like genuinely, not at all. he’s just the avenue by which tam found a way to hit it off with steph, but she would have found another way if it wasn’t for him, she’s very determined. i think with steph there’s this skepticism at first (is tam doing this to get at tim somehow?) but that fades very quickly because tam isn’t. she just really likes her and wants to go out with her
