A silly poster I whipped up today. The idea of someone being like “oh, I love talking heads!” And you hitting them with the “woah, me too; do you have a favourite song?” And them being like “what? I was referring to when you can’t see the body of the person being interviewed” wriggled its way in and wouldn’t come out. Anyway, this is the result!

Talking Heads // Psycho Killer
You start a conversation, you can't even finish it
You're talking a lot, but you're not saying anything
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed
Say something once, why say it again?

jojo does song analysis (not really)
“feel my fingers as they touch your arms / im spinning around and i feel alright / the book i read was in your eyes”
i love this album as a whole, amazing debut album. i havent listen to all of the talking heads’ albums so its hard for me to rank it but none of this songs are skipable. some good art punk / new wave
please listen to this song with some good headphones as i feel you have to be able to hear everything in order to truly appreciate this song.
i would describe it as sensory overload in the best way possible. it gives me this punchy feeling in my chest that i associate with emotional overload. the song itself has been described by some as sly parody due to david byrne’s vocal delivery and the band’s ominous sound. however i do think its just a strange love song.
romance is weird and overwhelming for someone like me who is autistic. i feel like instrumentation of this song just perfectly portrays the foreign and overwhelming feeling i associate with love. the groove lead by the keyboards and the bass (?) is just ugh… amazing god.

What are you, in love with your problems?
I think you take it a little too far
It's not so cool to have so many problems
But don't expect me to explain your indecisions
