My Sorey cosplay! Nice to bring out an old fave, it still holds up. Well other than the glove which did not survive this photoshoot LMAO the gold material just broke down

all peeling and stuff like pleather fabric does i guess, but since it's not something I wore that often it's a shame it didn't last longer. thankfully on the inside so you can't tell in the pics but i'll have to remake it with a tougher fabric

Unfortunately I can't open it up to load 'bullets' (which I still think, the concept of loading actual bullets into Siegfried is dumb), or in my case store my make-up pens inside. But I really couldn't figure out how to make it work, and still get finished till tomorrow.

All in all I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Seeing as the only other attempts at making weapons(ish things) for my cosplays where a crappy looking Mezzaluna for a Food Wars cosplay and two crappy looking knives for an Undertale cosplay. Both of which happened before Corona had even struck. So yeah...it's not perfect but I like it. And the more I look at it the uglier it becomes.

So...anyone seen captain Van Aifread? Kinda need to give him his gun back ;)

Several years ago I fell in love with Tales of Zestiria the X. I'm rewatching the anime now and I've watched all the playthroughs.

However because of someone in my life at the time, I believed that I'd never have the opertunity to make the Mikleo cosplay that I have quite literally dreamed about.

Fast forward to today. I started working on my Mikleo cosplay. The pattern for the pants is complete, the tunic is next.

I don't know when it'll be finished, but I already love it.

Welcome to the Celestial Record!

This is a reblog blog for all things Zestiria; fun to follow if you want a daily dose of some of the old art and such still floating around the site! This blog will function somewhat as an archive for zesty posts, but I won't promise it'll catch everything.

Expect to see about two reblogs a day—as the blog runs on a queue—and know that since I will mostly be reblogging from the archive of my main blog, there is somewhat of a bias as to what posts make it in (posts I personally liked and reblogged before making this blog). However, I will also be adding new posts as I find them, and will shuffle the queue so we're not exclusively stuck on old posts for over a year while I'm getting this project off the ground ✨

My friends and I are gonna be cosplaying Tales Of Zestiria at some point in the future

And I am the newb (they already have a Laila and an Edna ready) so I had to pick someone

And my partner was like “hey you could do Sorey and we could do battle shit”

And I just… I did not want to? And was not sure why? But holy hell worst outfits in a Tales game in general Tales Of Vesperia just took all the good aesthetics

(Gonna do that one too, I will be doing Estelle and Judy and possibly Rita and Yuri cuz all their costumes SLAP)
