His Closest Childhood Friend (Yandere!Diluc x Reader)
A/n: had to rewrite the last part cause OneNote said "ah yes we don't need that" lol anyways here's part 3/3 of Soldier, Poet, King. If I ever write more about this au, they will be what-if scenarios (because the end could honestly go in different ways, it's not like someone can "win" in this yandere harem). Sorry for the delay @leftdestiny-posts ;-;, hope you like it!!
Mostly gn!reader but there are some chess terms I can't change ;;-;;
An unreliable synopsis: There's a reason why Diluc is called the Uncrowned King of Mondstadt, care to take a guess?
Cw: Yandere!Diluc. (Bodily harm/burns?) Implied yan!Childe and Thoma.
Parts:
Soldier, Poet, King (You're here)
----------
Tumblr media
If you asked Diluc who (Y/n) was, his reddened face will sputter an inadequate explanation before excusing his flustered self out of the room.
If you asked (Y/n) who Master Diluc was, they'd simply pause and say he's someone they used to be friends with.
Used to.
Diluc noticed everything about you. From how you part your hair, how your eyes crinkle at the sound of the ocean, how your eyes sharpen in deep concentration while playing chess– every little detail about you is stored in his brain. He doesn't understand when and how he gained his hypersensitive tell-spotting, all he knows now is that he is fixated. Too obsessed to turn away, but also too hyperaware of how dangerously stalkerlike he had become.
Diluc only sets his hooded, almost honey-coated gaze on you. To this day, people have questioned how you managed to overlook the perpetually lovelorn parasitic expression on his face whenever you pass by, but they have never taken into account the hurtful things Diluc says.
You two bicker daily. You, the knights, and his brother were the only people who he showed this attitude with. People mistakenly believed that his "nagging" and your complaints were just a normal aspect of an Imunlaukr-Ragnvindr friendship dynamic, and Diluc made the same error. He thought he could get away with being aloof for long enough.
That's how it was until one scorching Sunday afternoon.
"Diluc, listen to me." You spoke. He immediately noticed how your face was creased and your frown was a hair lower than before. Even so, he appeared as if he was more focused on pouring himself a cup of juice. Diluc cannot contain his heart once he looks at you straight in the eye. Fortunately, no one else was inside Angel's Share to mock him--
"I don't want to be friends anymore."
Diluc's eyes widened and he spilled his drink.
No. No, no, no, no, no.
He hastily cleaned up the spillage before staring at you, bewildered.
Did you find out? Shit. Fuck.
This can't be happening.
"I talked with a friend of mine about this and he was right." You continued. "I shouldn't continue being friends with suffocating people. You're too critical. Too cruel. I can't stand you anymore."
"And trust me, it hurts for me to end our friendship like this since we've known each other since we were kids, but please, please don't contact me ever again."
Diluc closed his eyes and breathed in.
He wasn't listening to you anymore, and for once, your voice became nothing more than background noise to him. He's drowning out all your reasonings and facets for breaking up your friendship with him.
"It's Fixer, isn't it?"
"And yo– What?"
"It's Fixer." Diluc sucked a deep breath between his gritted teeth. You gulped. His voice was nothing short of menacing. "Your pen pal. He's the one who fed you all these lies, didn't he?"
How did he know about Fixer?
"Lies?" Diluc was being the most threatening he's ever been, and although you forced yourself to scoff, it's clear that it was affecting you. "How is any of what I said lies? You talk shit about me every day. You barge into my apartment every Saturday just so you can complain about how I live my life– You're the one in the wrong here! You should be, I don't know, self-reflecting!"
"Am I? Am I in the wrong, now?" His right eye twitched. "Look at yourself. You live poorly and it reflects on your appearance. You're mentally unstable, (Y/n), and you refuse help from professionals–"
"Oh, shut up." Your eyesight started to get misty. Why is he making this all about you? "You and I both know that the therapist you recommended was a piece of shit!"
Diluc bit his bottom lip. That was his fault. He wanted a prop that will make you see all the good sides in him, and it backfired greatly. He takes full responsibility for that. Diluc would never seek to harm you truly, please have faith in that.
"Fine! That's true. But you're the one who still refuses to get their act together. You live and breathe like a homeless man in Dragonspine!"
Something inside of you snapped.
For a moment, you both paused, but not to catch your breaths. Diluc meant it when he can read you inside out. And what you're thinking right now is a terrifying notion.
"(Y/n)... Don't..."
"Maybe I should... Maybe I should do as you say this time. It's what you want to happen, right?" You laughed emptily.
"(Y/n)..."
"It's a good idea– a GREAT idea, even, Diluc." You shook your head with a mischievous grin. "I mean, I'm a social outcast at this point, so why not just embrace it, hmm?"
Diluc's knees weakened and a lump in his throat emerged. His stomach churned as he tried to quell the evergrowing unease that wrecked his entire body.
No one was thinking straight.
"Don't be stupid. You won't survive a day in Dragonspine."
"I know." You said. "But at least there would be one less problem for you to worry about, right? One less troublesome citizen in Mondstadt for you to care about."
His breath hitched.
Diluc heard a yelp.
He pulled back.
Diluc touched you. He didn't process what he had done but he grabbed your wrist and there was a burn mark where he singed it. Diluc looked down at the palm that betrayed him and the fumes that came from it only proved his guilt.
A shiver ran down his spine.
The burn marks on your skin were in the shape of his fingertips.
It was a second-degree burn.
You must be in incredible pain by now but you didn't show it, and that made Diluc all the more anxious.
"(Y/n), wait–"
Your cheeks were wet as you faced him. Whatever physical discomfort you were feeling at the time was overridden by malice.
Overridden by anger, overridden by betrayal, overridden by spite.
"Hah." You laughed bitterly.
"Compared to being stuck in a bar with you, looks like I'll be safer in the mountains after all."
No words came out of his mouth. The outcome of this argument had been decided long before he tried to get you to stay.
It was a stalemate.
You stormed out of Angel's Share afterward and that was the last time you and Diluc had a proper conversation. The people Diluc deemed most important leave him, and that is no longer a rumor but a promise after you walked out that door. Since then, you actively avoided the general public– avoided him.
Diluc started donning thick black gloves after that incident. It's impossible to convince him to take it off in public.
But that didn't stop Diluc from worrying. Every time he was far away from you, it seemed as though he was counting his breaths and breathing manually.  He still manages to slot time in his schedule to look after you. From afar, of course. At this point, he is assured that you are aware of who the Darknight Hero was. Your irrational disdain for the icon contained the same venom you spare for him. Diluc can't and won't stop you from disparaging him. He was adamant that he deserved it with how he treated you.
In his vacant hours, Diluc crawls to his bed and hugs his pillow. Sometimes his fingers will grasp it in desperation, other times he would slowly caress the pillowcase and pretend that it was your back. These actions were coupled with deep breaths, and inevitable moments of indecent thoughts would emerge. The image of your inviting eyes and soft lips haunted his feverish dreams. Naturally, there are moments when he was unable to endure the coldness of being alone in a king-sized bed.
So he stalks you in the guise of "patrolling".
News that involves the Knights of Favonius travel fast, and it's no longer just a passing rumor that they will return this week. The gossipers have already chanted their "I told you so!"s before the cavalry battalions stepped foot inside Mondstadt's gates.
And you were secretly there too. It's kind of cute that despite ranting on about spending the rest of your days in an isolated Mountain, you broke that promise to see your favorite cousin.
Diluc frowned. At this point, Diluc wished you rode off Varka's coat-tails instead if it meant dissuading your aspirations will turn out like this. His relationship with the knights and your cousin may be strained, but it's still part of his duty as a Ragnvindr to treat the grand master with the utmost respect.
Even when that overprotective titan does make a habit of interfering with your relationships. But it's a reasonable vendetta. You would have been blissfully riding on horseback beside the grand master's steed if Diluc hadn't discouraged you from pursuing knighthood.
Seeing you scurry in the dark was the highlight of Diluc's day, but he raised his chin and pretended not to notice your presence. He's a renowned figure who can't hide behind the barrels as you do, so he ought to at least formally welcome Grand Master Varka Imunlaukr--
"You should watch what you say, Miss."
Diluc stopped from his trail. He had not heard it recently but there was a certain familiarity in that voice.
The scent of embers wafted in the air.
And when the smoke cleared, only one figure remained standing firm whilst the other cowered in fear.
Diluc clenched his jaw.
It was "Fixer".
"O-Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to come off that strong! I'm just saying you should be careful what you say next time! You never know if you're hurting someone already." The blonde green-eyed man babbled and shrank in an attempt to make himself look small, but the observers already know how much of a threat he truly poses.
"R-right..." Marjorie whimpered.
"Tch." Diluc unwittingly bit his nail.
Damn it. Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it.
He believed that he made a sizable arrangement with the Tianquan to stop the majority of ships that boarded Liyue till the next month. How could Thoma possibly get here? Diluc couldn't help but feel incredibly frustrated at every sacrifice and work he made to postpone your reunion. Thoma's here, walking around with his unbelievably chipper self, so what had it all been for?!
Thoma terrified Diluc. Compared to "Ajax", he can't get rid of him by just calling him "Tartaglia" in a "slip-of-the-tongue".
But Thoma is a target now. Diluc would've gladly taken Childe as his ally to avoid the chance of Thoma winning you over, but he would rather die than be in cahoots with the Fatui. Diluc knew how in sync you two were as kids. He could not compete with what is called "natural chemistry".
The key difference is that Thoma can stop himself from hurting others, but Diluc can't help but burn you in one touch.
Diluc bit his bottom lip.
It was an irritating scenario. He could accuse Thoma of destroying private property, but that would make him look callous right away. And that's not something you want to be viewed as next to the kid who just got back in town. Diluc sucked it up and let Thoma babble on.
What happened next was a blur.
Thoma attempted to make small talk with Diluc, but one of his conversation starters triggered something that made him space out.
Diluc only realized he was already home when his butler Elzer jolted from how loud he closed the door. His mood only worsened as he glimpsed at Kaeya waiting for him on a prowl. The captain is keenly aware of Diluc's foul mood when it comes to knighthood. Diluc makes the effort to remind him in almost every interaction.
His brother gave him an omniscient smile.
"Poor Diluc... Did the grandmaster spew a long-winded Knights of Favonius hiring ad again?"
Diluc snarled. "On the contrary, I haven't encountered him."
Kaeya raised an eyebrow teasingly. This should be fun for him. Diluc had yet to kick him out. "Oh? Then why the long face?"
"You know why, Kaeya."
It's because he became so engrossed in his feelings that he failed to remember his responsibility to look after you.
Diluc leaned his head on the doorframe. He overlooked the fact that you were suffering as a result of hearing Marjorie's insults, and he should've tried to help.
He got too busy after finding out that Thoma warranted a room in Goth Hotel and he will be set to stay for two months at most, much to Diluc's dismay. He could stoop low and ask Kaeya for a scheme, but Inazuma's Tri-Commission had some cards up their sleeves. How on earth did Thoma receive a Lordship's protection? The uncrowned King of Mondstadt certainly has a pitiful lack of influence. It's petty, but he forced the hotel to raise its prices in retaliation.
Kaeya laughed. "Heh. Course I do. It's just more satisfying to hear you admit it."
The white-haired butler chimed in. "Pardon me, Master Diluc, but what should we do with the... "pest" that's lurking in Dragonspine? He seems to be getting close to (Y/n)."
"Damn it."
Diluc slammed the wall with his clenched fist. The impact didn't break anything, but the entire manor heard his outburst.
He can't touch Childe.
"Ajax" and Thoma are the only support systems you have left, and Diluc is not a horrible man to selfishly take that away from you.
You're in a fragile mental state and you need someone to talk to, and Diluc is not the right person for the job. His conversations with you frequently turn sour. Crepus brought him up to be a gentleman, yet out of concern, Diluc subconsciously uses harsher language towards you. His wit and sarcasm stand in the way of his desire to be more open. Unlike Thoma, Diluc has trouble finding the perfect words to say. Should he attempt to divulge Ajax's secret identity, you'll just come to hate him more.
Diluc loves you. And he doesn't want to see you break further. This is the least selfish wish he has.
The butler no longer tried to fish out answers while Kaeya snickered. The look on Diluc's face showed that he was back to another round of self-depreciation and Elzer didn't want to deal with the same song and dance again.
Elzer figured that it was his time to leave and let his brother handle this alone, but his master kept talking.
"Thoma's back home too."
Elzer's mouth opened in shock while Kaeya looked indifferent. It's no surprise that he already heard the news. He likely sent Huffman to solve Marjorie's problem.
"H-Huh? Mister Thoma?! I thought the ships in both Doorman port and Liyue harbor can't set sail here?"
"No shit," Diluc muttered in a low husky whisper as he removed the scrunchie that held up his high ponytail. "He must've had connections with the Tri-Commission in Inazuma. Should've guessed that sooner. A pen name like "Fixer" should've set some alarms straight off. There's a high chance Thoma became a bigshot in his father's hometown."
"Right... "Fixer"." Kaeya hummed. He propped his head up pensively.
Diluc is more than familiar with his sworn brother's body language. Whenever Kaeya relaxes into this particular demeanor, an idea would be set in stone, for better and for worse.
"You know Diluc... having a Fixer wouldn't be so bad... It would surely solve your pest problems, wouldn't you agree?"
The two were silent as they tried to decipher what the captain was attempting to insinuate.
Ahh... He's right.
Diluc smiled subtly and crossed his arms.
Kaeya can be pretty useful sometimes.
"Hah." Diluc nodded with an airy chuckle "I get it now. I can't believe I didn't think about it sooner."
"This situation is an easy Scholar's mate all along."
--------------
A masked figure dragged Thoma away closer to Dragonspine's Outskirts in one fell swoop.
The stranger did not speak. He forced him out of the area silently and with ease. Thoma couldn't identify who it was as a golden owl-shaped mark covered his visage. Additionally, his dark cape aided to conceal most of his features. Looking up in a worm's-eye view was no help at all.
"W-Who are you?!"
The stranger glared down.
So, Thoma did come to Dragonspine. How desperate and gullible. Diluc should pay Charles extra for leading him here.
Thoma trembled. He wasn't sure if the temperature or the red glint in his opponent's eye was what caused his body to react. He crept backward as the man with the mask towered above him.
"I-I have a vision!" Thoma proudly proclaimed. "I'd think twice if I were you."
The stranger knelt to his level and yanked him by the collar. Both immediately cast fire in their palms, and that instance made Thoma falter. They're pyro vision users, yet he doubts he could put up a fight with someone twice as physically built as he is. Thoma tried to conceal his fear with a brave look, and the stranger kept quiet about how Thoma's fire was gradually fading.
"Tsk."
The stranger dropped his hold on him.
"How ungrateful. I just saved you."
The man turned his back and slowly started walking away. He raised his hand and beckoned Thoma to follow.
Thoma scrambled to get his bearings and stood up.
"E-Excuse me?"
"That Snezhnayan man you saw just now," The stranger lit up a nearby torch and continued.
"That was Tartaglia, Number 11 of the Fatui Harbingers."
"A Fatui Harbinger?"
Every alarm in Thoma's head blared in a second.
"(Y/n)!!!"
That blue-eyed man was a harbinger?! Why are you hanging out with him?! That's too dangerous! You need him NOW--
"Stay put." The stranger commanded, and the authoritative flair in his voice froze Thoma in his place. "The... fisherman is not yet aware of this fact."
"Then we should get there and tell them!-- Mmph!"
The stranger pulled him by the collar once again and covered Thoma's mouth.
"Not yet."
Diluc won't let you know just yet.
Or at the very least, he won't let Thoma play the hero.
Thoma squirmed and broke free.
"Neither of us is fully capable of tackling him head-on." The stranger said.
"But (Y/n) is in danger right now!" Thoma tried to pry his arm away from the stranger's hold but his resistance was futile. "We have to save them--"
"If you do that, Tartaglia might just put an end to their life right then and there. Do you want that to happen, Mister Thoma?"
There was a tight feeling in Thoma's throat.
(Y/n)... dead?
It was just a few sentences, but it was enough to make Thoma feel like vomiting. That made the stranger satisfied. It looks like he won't need to bluff in extreme detail on what the consequences may be.
Manipulating Thoma was disgustingly easy.
"But..."
The stranger fished out a pen and paper from his robes before handing it to him. Thoma looked down at it and sent him a quizzical look.
"If you want to save (Y/n), you can always do it through words, Fixer."
A king's moves may be restricted, but that doesn't stop him from letting others do the work for him. Diluc Ragnvindr is the Uncrowned King of Mondstadt. A mere soldier and poet are nothing but pawns to him.
It's the perfect crime. Diluc still can't believe he hasn't thought about it sooner. It's almost too easy. He only needs to utilize four moves in his plan, truly reminiscent of a Scholar's mate. Sending Childe a forged sparring request 'sent' by Varka, setting up a one-sided meeting where Thoma spies on you and Childe together, manipulating Fixer to expose him, and...Well, there's no need to dwell on that for now. The last step will be the most difficult but Diluc must make sure the third step is a success first.
After all, the uncrowned King is still searching for his Queen, so keep stepping forward.
Please, come back to his side of the chessboard, (Y/n) (L/n).

His Ice Fishing Buddy (Yandere!Childe/Reader)
A/n: id get accused of favoritism if i didn't write a childe fic ehe. I already wrote a fic where my current dps-es ayaka and ayato are there, would be weird if I didn't write my previous main dps lmao. sorry my tartar sauce boy. This is part 1/3(?) of the short fic "Soldier, Poet, King" (which is yandere Childe, Thoma, and Diluc respectively). Ps: I'm gonna make some stuff abt Varka's "family" cause we still don't have enough info on him lol
An actually reliable synopsis this time wow: reader vents out frustrations and childe listens w/ added bantering
Gn!reader
Cw: It's a really mild/soft & wholesome short yandere fic. Also, I likely have a different characterization for Tartaglia haha… I'm more used to his character in the voice lines so this might not have that "hey girlie~" vibes to it, I'm sorry (´-﹏-`;). Implied yan!Diluc & yan!Thoma/reader.
Parts:
Soldier (You're here), Poet, King
------------------------------
Tumblr media
If you asked (Y/n) (L/n) who Tartaglia was, they would tell you that he's nothing more than a pampered kid who got scolded by the Millileth.
If you asked (Y/n) (L/n) who Ajax was, they would tell you that he's the best fishing buddy they ever had.
In hindsight, you are correct. But that's only because you've never had any other fishing buddies to begin with, so there's no competition for him.
You loved fishing around Dragonspine's west end, close to the road that connects Liyue and Mondstadt but far enough to see both civilizations. You were viewed by the Fishing Association as a lone wolf yet beloved "cousin," the type that only came by on holidays to dish out trinkets to the family. That was your place in the group, and they regarded you with plenty of endearments.
Everyone in the association was ecstatic when they received a half-frozen letter from Tommy, penned by yours truly, which detailed a new fishing companion.
Although, when they read your tales about him, it seems as if this new partner of yours is just as unhinged as you are.
"Have you ever wondered how it would feel like to be a fish?" You asked before you cast your line.
You kept going while smiling. "It would be nice, wouldn't it? To feel happy when you're drowning. To sink in and just… not be affected by what's up there. Kinda cool. I mean, fish can drown in certain ways, but still..."
He looked at you with a mixture of bemusement and sympathy. Ajax mentally reasoned that having long chats must be a family characteristic for the Imunlaukr Clan.
"Are you alright, comrade?" Ajax asked. He wrapped his scarf around your neck, but the effect was nearly nonexistent. You are used to this cold as much as he is, but considering how he's a full-pledged Snezhnayan man, he's likely to be more resilient.
Still, it made your lips quirk up for a second. It's the thought that counts, right?
Ajax had always struck you as a kindred spirit. His odd fascination with fighting turned you off at first, but he has a compelling and charismatic presence. Yet, Ajax is far from a playboy. His pickup lines are rarely memorable and they hardly ever stick. Quite frankly, you thought his flirtatious jokes were enough proof that he's likely to die alone.
The man is uber-fixated on becoming stronger in such a nerdy way, which is kind of contradictory. He boasts that he's strong but seems to flail around in the hopes of achieving whatever the hell "world domination" entails.
In short, Ajax is a paper tiger in your eyes. Both in flirting AND combat.
"Never better," you replied sarcastically.
"Have you eaten lunch?"
You pointed at your half-eaten frozen... charcoal discarded in front of your humble tent.
He initially mistook that you were pointing to the letter written by an Inazuman fisherman rather than the hazardous garbage that was strewn about. Ajax's nose scrunched.
With his siblings and acquaintances, he provides them with sugarcoated words when it comes to cooking. It matters not if the scales are flakey and toasted to bitterness similar to ground coffee. But this? This, however...
"I get that it may just be my preferences talking, but it doesn't look very palatable. Don't you realize that food is like weaponry? You need to consume things that are beneficial for the body. Damn. How are you going to keep your promise of 'not dying until Ajax conquers the world' when you live like this?"
"Oh, please stop. You sound like my mother." You grimaced. "Who said you need to be a master chef to fry a fish? You just need to be moderate at arson!"
That last sentence explained a lot.
Ajax laughed boisterously. "C-Comrade, you couldn't even fry the fish right."
"Oi! Shut up. You're scaring the fish away." You grumbled. "The rain just stopped and the fish aren't coming back. So be quiet."
"I'd be afraid too if that sad charcoal is my fate."
"Just shut up."
"Amuse me: were you cooking for yourself or were you just crafting fish baits?–"
"SHUSH."
Tartaglia would have offered you a big supper in Liyue under normal circumstances. During combat, he had fleeting thoughts about pampering you with the dishes and clothing you deserved. He can see you dress up just for him holding his arm as you both enter the establishment so vividly. Tartaglia could hear your laughter fill the air as you mispronounce different Liyue cuisines.
He felt hollower each time he snapped out of his daydreams and remembered your patched and ragged clothes in this unforgiving climate
However, Ajax desired to uphold this image you had of him. Even if your cheap lifestyle is slightly killing the banker's insides.
"Hey, why don't you eat something in Mondstadt? My treat."
You gazed up, confused.
"Why?"
"There's no way you haven't missed a good, juicy, meaty steak," Ajax said, his voice similar to a burlesque salesman. "Plus, I'll accompany you on your trip. The road's teeming with hilichurls compared to this dead place. There'll be plenty of fights waiting for me if I accompany you, so why not?"
As long as no one saw Ajax's mask, no one would shun him for being a Harbinger. He had already sent directives for the Fatui stationed in Mondstadt not to approach him on this little date.
The only problem is Master Diluc…
Why didn't he exposed that he's a Fatui Harbinger yet?
You rolled your eyes. "Why not? The reason why not is because I'm not going to order steak just to sate your bloodlust. Plus, Good Hunter has a delivery service anyway."
"But you should go home once in a whileeee," Ajax whined.
You yanked back your reel, but there was no sign of a catch.
"Why are you so persistent?" You said in a monotone voice.
It didn't sound like a question. It sounded like a complaint.
Ajax finally realized how crestfallen you were when he stared at you. Your expression had been the same the second he mentioned Mondstadt. He felt a stab of remorse as he struggled to come up with a reply.
Your eyes looked just like his, dead.
"I don't want to be seen at the town square."
Ajax paused and hesitate on whether or not he should ask. He decided that it would be best if he would've ordered Viktor to figure out what happened if you didn't tell him anyway. "Why?"
"I overheard a few things about me." You said. "A few things I didn't even know about myself."
"Oh?"
You both paused, but it was a comfortable silence. As Ajax sat alongside you on the wood, your shoulders began to relax. The ice gradually soaked his gray trousers, but his attention did not divert. Ajax's entire focus was on you, and it warmed your heart to know you have such a wonderful friend.
"Ready when you are, (Y/n)."
You felt some kind of zest. In this scenario, hearing him use your name instead of "comrade" had a distinct effect you can't quite put a finger on.
"Right." You cleared your throat. "So, uh, last week when you weren't here I overheard Marjorie and some blonde rat-tailed guy talk about me a-and umm..."
Your eyes were beginning to moisten. You bared the restricting ache in your chest with a close-eyed grin and proceeded to spill.
"S-She wasn't saying nice things. That's all."
You would have had a better chance of seeing Ajax's evil gaze if you had kept your eyes open the entire time. You might have noticed how strangely silent he was if you had concentrated on him instead of composing yourself. Instead, you were clinging to the last shred of self-control you had to not let the floodgates open.
"Marjorie, the Souvenir Shop owner? Do you know the other man?"
"No." You shook your head weakly. "Never met him, I think. He seemed like a tourist but he looked like a Mondstadter..."
"I-I mean, not-that-it-bothers-me-of-course. I know I'm a weirdo, but I'm ashamed to think that I never once pieced together that people think I'm a disappointment to the Imunlaukr Clan. I thought everybody in my family was unique, but I didn't realize that I'm underwhelming when it comes to... whatever positive uniqueness people are after. It gets suffocating when I hear those harsh words constantly whenever I come home. Especially since I don't have a vision."
"That's why I hate visiting little Mond. Everyone there despises me. Some have the gall to hide it to gain my cousin's favor, while some flat out tell me that they want my name erased from the family tree." You continued.
"So, I guess that's why I'm so glad to have met you and the Fishing Association. You didn't know who my family was and treated me like a friend, not a means to an end."
Ajax took a deep breath. You laughed nervously a few seconds later.
"Haha, that kinda rhymed. Sorry. Even I admit that that was too much. I'm rambling again. My bad."
To be honest, he also had an ulterior motive when befriending you. Keyword: had.
He sought you out before to leech out more information about Grandmaster Varka, who seemed to go on month-long expeditions out of nowhere. It made him agitated. He was desperate to learn more about Mondstadt's powerhouse that he combed through all of his contacts until he came across you. The joyful titan's favorite cousin: the isolated fisherman.
Tartaglia saving you from drowning in Wyrmrest Valley was no "stroke of luck" as you put it.
Tartaglia intended to kidnap you for ransom, one that can only be paid by sparring with a worthy opponent.
But after getting to know you, your insecurities, and your passion as a human being for half a year, Ajax couldn't help but want you even if he tried not to.
He could no longer bring himself to cause harm to the one weak link to The Knight of Boreas. If anything, he learned firsthand why Varka was adamant about keeping you safe and hidden. It also made sense why there were rumors that the Uncrowned King of Mondstadt has a crush on you. You are too eccentric– too valuable for the public eye
Perhaps it was for the best that you declined Ajax's offer. He loathes the idea of others looking at you, particularly that redhead with a (reasonable) vendetta against him. You're better off isolated.
Alone, with him.
He rubbed his thumb at the back of your palm.
"Comrade..." Ajax cooed. "You're not a disappointment."
 You laughed.
"A part of me already acknowledged that, but thank you. It's impossible to be like Varka. I wish I could be like him every day, but the thing is the only thing I'm good at is whipping this rod and reeling in a big one... and I didn't even get a catch today. Hell, when I tried to train, Diluc told me to just give up and let him do all the protecting-and-what-not. I wish I could just, well, not think about other people like Varka does."
You exhaled deeply. If not Varka, then you hope to become like your pen pal, Fixer, instead. He frequently offered sound advice on how to be more friendly and personable, and he even offered to meet with you after the Sakoku decree was repealed. "Fixer" didn't appear to mind rumors about him, despite the fact that he's a Mondstadter living in a xenophobic country. You can only dream of being that resolved in your worth and confidence.
Maybe you should accept his invitation to meet up. Fixer sounded like he was dying to see you. After all, it's the least you could do for the man who still kept in contact despite his country's prohibition.
"Huh?! Diluc said that?" Ajax suddenly exclaimed. "What kind of man discourages someone from training? People should strive to be formidable warriors if they want to--"
He stopped when he realized you were staring at him with immense judgement.
"Ah, right, wrong timing." He gulped.
"But hey." Ajax squeezed your hand, and you squeezed back. "Comrade, you're being too harsh on yourself and you know it. Hell, it's those scheming bad guys who should be self-critical, not you."
He definitely had his co-workers in mind when he said that.
You snickered. "I'm not a child anymore, Ajax. There's no such thing as bad guys."
"Well," Ajax nervously cleared his throat, undoubtedly uncomfortable. "I mean, there's the Fatui."
"What, like that big doofus Childe?" You teased.
He froze.
Ouch.
'Ajax' laughed sparingly.
"Yeah. Like him. Just tell me if those guys are bothering you, I'll get them knocked off their perch."
You shrugged. "Whatever, sure."
Hmm...
He continued to stare at you with a small smile, long enough for you to see that his eyes are noctilucous jade-like. They were gleaming. Is this how they've always been? You could've sworn his eyes were a dull shade of cobalt blue (though you never told him that since you were afraid he'd challenge you to a sparring match).

"Why are you still smiling? Is there something on my face?" You giggled.
That immediately made Ajax flinch. "H-Ha? Oh, what, no, of course not, wha– pshaw! I just got lost in thought, that's all."
"Really?" You raised an eyebrow playfully. "Then what is The Greatest and Most Renowned Snezhnayan Fisherman pondering about in the company of his Poor and Estranged Mondstadter Friend, hmm? Mora for your thoughts?"
Ajax looked away.
"It's a bit embarrassing."
"What is?" You said. "C-C'mon, if there is something on my face just say it, man!"
"No, no, nothing like that." Ajax pouted, yet he still refused to face you. "It's just that..."
"I just thought you're drop-dead gorgeous, that's all."
You blushed.
"L-Like, the light of the moon." He continued blabbering. "The perfect lighting for a bloodbath or a crime scene, for added mystery."
The warmth in your face fizzled out as you smacked his arm. Classic Ajax. He can't go on for ten minutes without thinking about fighting. Somehow, that 'drop-DEAD' compliment was fitting coming from him. You're pretty sure he mentioned something about wanting to see his enemies drop dead on several occasions.
"You had me at drop-dead gorgeous but you ruined it with that last part, idiot."
Ajax was dying inside. Sure, he had slain multiple enemies as a 14-year-old but no amount of "maturing" prepared him for the awkward steps of wooing someone.
He's still a little kid deep down who grew up too fast, and sadly, he will always be more comfortable holding a weapon than a person's hand.
Please, have some mercy.
"You asked me how I felt, so I just said what I thought of at the time!"
"Gah! You're hopeless."
You ruffled his ginger hair roughly before his shoulders and spine tensed up. He was unable to look away. Your wide grin is a wholesome sight to see.
Even though Dragonspine was frigid, he's pretty sure his cheeks were scorching.
"But thank you, friend." You whispered loud enough for him to hear. "You always know just what to say. You're right, I'm too critical."
He puffed humorously, "Of course you are. But anytime, (Y/n)."
"Perhaps you should start self-reflecting as well," you suggested, a little less soft this time. You stood up and gradually increased the distance between you two.
He scowled as he realized where this shift in tone was leading.
With a mischievous smile, you added. "You know... since you can't seem to land a critical hit with your attacks."
He sneered, oblivious to the fact that he'd already summoned his hydro weapon before you even finished your punchline.
"HEY!"
It's not his fault he gets so scared fighting when you're around, okay?! You're one of the few people who makes him nervous when fighting. In Ajax's heart, you are already a part of his family, and revealing his real fighting style would be like telling Teucer he wasn't Snezhnaya's greatest toyseller. He doesn't know what he'll do if he makes a mistake that leads you to suspect that he's Tartaglia. He doesn't know what he'll do because you are the one who causes him to falter—
You started sprinting.
"SEE YA LATER, AJAX!"
"What the-- YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE– GET BACK HERE, (Y/N)!!!"
Normally, he would have caught you as you headed for the pines and exacted his wrath in under ten seconds, but he made the mistake of glancing down. Ajax stared at his frozen reflection in the stream.
He grinned.
You're truly starting to restore the brightness in his eyes whenever you're around.
It's only justice that those people will soon deeply regret spreading false rumors about you, right?
Then, all Tartaglia needs to do now is collect Marjorie and that blonde man's debt...

His Adorable Pen Pal (Yandere!Thoma/Reader)
a/n: thoma is my 16th max friendship lvl character and i really like his vibes. personally, yan!thoma is hard to pull off. Thoma's such a green flag, if this was an otome isekai he'd definitely be the 2nd male lead LMAO– ((and yee, there are some very smol references from past works, they're not important theyre just iykyk moments)). this took longer cause i wrote diluc's part at the same time to try to get the story feel more connected. also, @kardi76 im so sorry please tell me you slept ;;-;; cause there is no closure (lololol).
gn!reader
a pretty reliable synopsis: thoma would do anything to meet you... (so please don't screw it up).
Cw: yandere!thoma. (Thoma is not self-aware that he's yan and thats the best part--) Implied yan!childe and diluc (soldier & king)
Parts:
Soldier, Poet (You are here), King
-------------
Tumblr media
If you asked (Y/n) (L/n) who "Fixer" was, they would tell you that he's one of the few people who could understand them deeply.
If you asked (Y/n) (L/n) who Thoma was, well, the best response someone could get from them is "Hmm... I guess the name sounds familiar," followed by "ah, so that's who he is. Okay then."
The two of you have been penpals for almost five years, but neither of you revealed your real names. You addressed him as "Fixer" (a pen name Kamisato Ayato had relentlessly recommended), and he responded to your calls as "Levi" (short for the infamous Lunar Leviathan sea legend). This is not due to the lack of courage or trust, but because you mutually agreed that it would add more mystery and thrill to your inevitable first meeting.
But one of you lied.
Thoma knew exactly what your name was. He knew your height, eye color, family, and a number of other personal facts that a regular housekeeper would not have had the opportunity to learn so readily. Earning your private information was his quota with Lord Kamisato for helping him "burn a few stray leaves", but the given information wasn't the most important findings of their investigation, no.
It was the revelation that (Y/n) (L/n), rather, YOU were his first love.
Thoma would happily take up any attractive label that fit his romanticized viewpoint, be it infatuation or puppy love. You were the kid he frequently spent time with within the Mondstadt public library. Granted, you both often took seats two chairs apart from one another, but the sticky notes passed along the table did not make the distance feel too far. You were each other's confidants. You both didn't belong anywhere and Thoma was bound to catch a teeny weenie crush on you.
It's no secret that Thoma is a hopeless romantic. He believes in his lucky omamori and fortune slips, hence it's not a huge stretch that he believes in soulmates too. No one in the Kamisato Estate was surprised when he preached that it is fate that bonded you two together. Lord Kamisato incessantly teased him for it, but Thoma was none the wiser. He thought that Ayato's remarks about being whipped were a compliment and that only made everyone more keenly aware that he was absolutely smitten.
Thoma was ultimately determined to reunite with you once more. The two of you lay on the same bed but with different dreams, and Thoma wished otherwise. He wanted to demonstrate to you that, if a "failure" like him could win the hearts of the Inazuman populace, then Mondstadt could also respect you and your adorable eccentricities.
But that won't be an easy feat.
The journey to Liyue was perilous, but it was nothing compared to his first trip to Inazuma. It was a bit funny how most of the ships to Liyue were suspended. Luckily, Thoma never lost hope. He and Captain Beidou came to an agreement whereby she would allow him to board the Alcor in exchange for a thorough cleanup. And hey, when it comes to housework, he's almost as passionate as Beidou's need to see the Tianquan, so it was a true non-zero-sum game.
Going from Liyue to Mondstadt was quite a chore as well. Some mora is better than no mora, and that was his way of coping after dishing out 900 mora to pay a guide and his spouse to help him out. The guide never shuts up. He kept talking about a drunkard friend from Mondstadt while his spouse graciously tried to focus on Thoma's needs. His spouse was clearly forced to marry the man under a contract. The Mondstadter prayed that your future marriage is far from theirs. Thoma's patient, but he doesn't think you can handle hearing about osmanthus wine, or in his case, housekeeping, for the rest of your married life. (The spouse can prepare some delectable seafood, though.)
Thoma considered whether his determination to meet you again was being tested by cleaning the entire ship and listening to an old couple bicker 24/7. At least he's in Mondstadt now, right?
"Excuse me, miss. Do you know where Mx. (Y/n) (L/n) is?"
Thoma was very amazed by the souvenir shop owner's ability to hear him over the talk of other tourists and the clacking of hooves that returned knights from a prolonged expedition. The town square is adorned with proud flags and colorful banners that symbolized the KoF's triumphant return, which meant the grandmaster is home as well.
Since Varka is here then that means--
"Ahh, (Y/n)?" Marjorie tapped her bottom lip. "That ungrateful kid isn't here. They didn't even bother to welcome their cousin home. They're probably sulking elsewhere."
Thoma flinched.
"Excuse me?"
"What's wrong? You do know what kind of person (Y/n) is, right?" Marjorie said nonchalantly.
"I mean, what did you expect? They're a disappointment to the Imunlaukr Clan, so it's only natural that they would shy away from celebrations like this. It's for the best, no one wants a weirdo around to spoil the festival."
His eyes darkened. Thoma's entire focus was on Marjorie now, and he didn't hear a teary-eyed person running for the stairs.
"How do you have the guts to say that about someone?"
Marjorie raised an eyebrow.
"But it's the truth–"
"Just how much do you know about (Y/n)?" Thoma gritted his teeth.
"Have you talked to them before? Have you taken them out for lunch? Do you know how they feel when people talk about them like that? Do you know how hard they worked to please everyone?"
At this point, the noise from the crowd began to simmer down as they tried to eavesdrop on this confrontation. Thoma subconsciously towered above Marjorie, and his hand slammed the door beside her.
His dull green eyes leered deep into her soul.
"N-No?"
"Then you should watch what you say, Miss."
The scent of embers wafted in the air.
Thoma didn't notice it was his own doing until Marjorie screamed. His conscience was stirred by her horrified eyes, and he quickly pushed away.
Heat radiated throughout the shop and Marjorie's arm, but fortunately, it wasn't enough to cause blisters and unbearable pain.
"O-Oh I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to come off that strong!" Thoma rambled on, fearing that he may have crossed the line. He felt multiple stares drilling the back of his head, and that solidified how wary the crowd was. "I'm just saying you should be careful what you say next time! You never know if you're hurting someone already."
Thoma's not the villain here. He's just teaching her a valuable lesson, that's all.
"R-right..." Marjorie whimpered. Her sleeves were nearly burnt to crisp and Thoma's heart dropped at the thought of additional expenses. Still, he's not above paying the price.
"I'm r-really sorry for the damages!" He blurted out. "I'll pay you back, how much?"
-----
Some mora is better than no mora, sure, but now that latter is starting to sound more like his situation.
Thankfully Marjorie didn't ask for much. Thoma couldn't decide whether to chalk it up as good fortune or the result of being too intimidating. Either way worked out for him anyway, cause he would've tried to haggle the price down if it were too expensive.
Thankfully Marjorie didn't ask for much. Thoma couldn't decide whether to chalk it up as good fortune or the result of being too intimidating. Either way worked out for him anyway, cause he would've tried to haggle the price down if it were too expensive.
But the fact that his emotions got the best of him was alarming...
Did you mean this much to him?
... Who is he kidding? Of course, you do!
Thoma sailed through storms and walked mountains to see you again, didn't he? His protectiveness is just a form of love. Marjorie isn't ill so no harm done, but if the situation called for it he would've undoubtedly escalated it to something more. This type of determination makes him your protector from afar, doesn't it?
"Ugh..." Thoma pouted. "Don't they sell anything other than alcohol here? I can't stomach the smell..."
While looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, he caught a glimpse of a passing slender and tall figure that loomed behind him. His strides were large and the head above his shoulders was etched in a permanently stern expression. The vibrant strawberry hair that crowned his head both contrasted his dim face and signified which family he belonged to–- who he was. It's none other than Diluc Ragnvindr.
Thoma grinned. When you and Thoma had the entire library to yourselves, Diluc used to take care of you two. He had the honor of overseeing two very bashful kids who were three years younger than him. Second only to Lord Kamisato, he was one of the most passionate people Thoma had ever met.
"Hey, Diluc!"
He didn't anticipate anything will happen when he called Diluc's name. The last time they met, Diluc was the nation's rising star, while Thoma was a timid teenager. Diluc may not know him now that Thoma pulled back his golden hair and changed the tone of his voice to one that exudes social lightness.
"It's me!" He grinned and reached out his hand for a handshake. Thoma was a bit nervous. He didn't know if he should be casual with the Ragnvindr heir, but this approach is ten times better than ignoring him. Thoma is not without care for friends. Why wouldn't he greet an old buddy? Especially the kid who played devil's advocate for your shenanigans?
"Th–"
Diluc briefly exhibited signs of fear before clearing his throat.
"Thoma." Diluc bit back coldly.
Thoma hesitantly sank his hand back into his pockets. What was that look for? Did he do something wrong?-- Well, he did almost burn a store down... but it didn't feel like that was the reason behind that face he made.
"I-It's been a long time!" He beamed, joyful that one of the few people who didn't shun him in his childhood still recalled him. "I thought you wouldn't recognize me anymore!"
Diluc hummed curtly. His eyes were sharp, which only accentuated that he hates to prolong whatever conversation this was, if you could call it one.
"I wouldn't dare make the mistake of not knowing who you are."
Thoma chuckled nervously. "Right."
"Is that all?" Diluc huffed.
"Oh," Thoma scratched the back of his head. "How's Master Crepus? I'm old enough now, you think he'll allow me to drink this time?"
He teased quickly before he loses Diluc's attention. It was just a small jest that alluded to the time young Thoma sneaked in inside Dawn Winery, but the look on Diluc's face was indescribable.
One thing was for certain, he was not pleased.
"N-Nevermind, how's Kaeya–"
"Have a pleasant evening, Mister Thoma." Diluc immediately turned his back on him, and his footsteps already drowned Thoma's unpolished ramblings.
"I hope you have fun staying in Mondstadt."
Mondstadt's chatter sounded in a near-endless chorus, therefore confirming that Diluc left the conversation.
He sighed humorously loud.
"Haaaaah... this is one of the most overwhelming homecomings of all time, alright. Maybe it could even top dad's... Wherever he is."
Thoma thought it would be him who would be unrecognizable in both appearance and personality.
But it seems Diluc changed too. And if Thoma were to be so bold, maybe he changed too much. He wondered how you felt about that–-
Thoma gasped.
Wait...
He opened numerous letters about the toxic people. You often compared a "friend" of yours and the people around "them" to a broke coin collector and a few pennies. Several anecdotes described in detail how the broke coin collector wanted to buy a fresh loaf of bread but was unable to part with their money since they believed it will one day reveal its true value.
The "Fixer" thoughtlessly retorted that "a coin's purpose by the end of the day is to be spent. What good will holding on do if you starve yourself to death? You need to tell the coin collector that their life is worth more than what they've saved."
He grimaced.
He was just trying to sound poetic. Thoma never thought that there was a possibility that one of these "coins" might be Master Diluc Ragnvindr himself.
Thoma crossed his arms and shook his head. It doesn't matter. He could be wrong. Maybe Diluc is just in a bad mood, and it's not like the 'cavalry captain' knows that he's "Fixer". It'll be ignorant to assume that a bright man like Diluc became a toxic person just because of one bad day.
Besides, some mora is better than no mora, and you still have him. And even if Diluc walked out of your life, Thoma will never let you be alone.
So don't worry, okay?
-------
Thoma didn't remember Dragonspine being this cold.
The last time he traversed the bridge towards the mountain was years ago, and he faintly remembers traveling with adventurer Cyrus to collect logs. He resisted the cold back then, but he can no longer say the same now that he's a pyro vision user. His pyro shield doesn't seem to provide any warmth in Dragonspine. Kind of backwards, isn't it? Thank goodness Good Hunter's served hot coffee. It was the only non-alcoholic drink they served this festival. His bottle preserved the comforting heat, and his hands were delighted to hold on to it. It was almost a torch for his vision to light up each time.
He also didn't bring a map. It wasn't in his budget after paying the Goth Hotel extra for his stay which was a major bummer (he doesn't recall the prices being that high before?) but it's alright. You write about the place sporadically that it almost felt like he knew the place like the back of his hand.
"H-hoo… I should've brought extra layers…" Thoma shivered. "Y-You made it sound like Dragonspine wasn't t-this cold at all… Oh, dear… I'm r-really tempted to run on the i-ice now…"
Once he pushed away from the branches of one particular tree, the bizarre trip had all been worth it.
"(Y/n)..."
He knew that who he saw had to be you.
Because you were breath-taking.
But that bliss was short-lived. Something was wrong.
"--I'm so glad to have met you and the Fishing Association. You didn't know who my family was and treated me like a friend, not a means to an end."
A crease formed between Thoma's eyebrows and his lips trembled. His face contorted in an ineffable string of hurt and betrayal, and his suffocating grasp on the poor tree beside him burned.
Your shoulders were drooped and you wore a Snezhnayan scarf, but most importantly, you were confiding in this blue-eyed stranger.
You were confiding in someone else that isn't him. He's your soulmate! He should be the only one you could count on.
The thud of his boots on crusty snow stopped Thoma from threading farther. That sounded too loud. If he moved a little closer, they'd hear him. And he can't afford to look like a stalker.
Thoma gulped harshly. He should've prayed that his first meeting with you wouldn't be spoiled by some filthy man he didn't even know.
What are you doing?
That spot was supposed to be for him.
Who is that man?
When you started running and the stranger followed after, Thoma walked to your camp and picked up his unopened letter. His letter sat near your plate and other discarded items.
You didn't even read it before talking to that stranger. Did that man matter more than him?
He tucked it away and smiled sadly.
You're not ready to know his feelings just yet.
But don't worry! You and Thoma will fall in love when the time is right.
It's fate, after all! He just KNOWS it!

i just took a nap and had a dream about creator!mc and elf!mc taking place in the same world
idk the thought of THE creator stumbling onto this elf who is like going through a similar situation as them (weird ass yanderes) and issues (having an identity/vision crisis (same difference really)) is funny to me
😋 anon
I really love the concept of readers being on the same universe at once!!!
Bakunawa!reader, SPK!reader, and Blind Obedience!Reader actually share the same universe. Soldier Poet King referenced both actually lololol, Thoma actually had bakunawa!reader as his guide and he subtly talks about burning um... Leaves.
And hmmm... Elf!Reader and HysHum!Reader in one universe works.
This would be around the time where HysHum!Reader still goes by the name "Faust". I think Elf!Reader would actually be able to notice that they're the creator/"impostor". The elf would realize there's a strange aura about them and no matter how hard they try they just can't forget their face. I can see HysmHum trusting Elf because they don't recall an NPC like them in the game.
If "Faust" met the Elf years ago, they might just be the one that gave the final push in encouraging them to take Civil Engineering.
I imagine they probably enjoy each others' company, knowing that they're both eccentric immortal beings that hardly anyone could understand.
... and that HysHum will probably hide in Elf's house if people started hunting them down + Elf reader will probably ask HysHum for help in burying Alhaitham alive in a domain (for at least "a few months so I can study") with their gravity manipulation powers lmao
HysHum!reader: I don't recall this happening in the game.
Elf!reader: I have no clue what fate astrology thing you have going for you my friend but c'mon you gotta help me hide the body.
HysHum!reader: *sighs* Alright then, as long as you don't snitch to Dain about this.

K thoughts what if in the fixer penpal au the plan backfires and the reader is like oh him yeah i know childe is childe he is extremely bad at being secretive i just think that frustration would be massively entertaining
oh my god a Soldier, Poet, King ask dhsjjdjwjw yES–
That's one of the reasons why I left the story at that cuz all three of them can technically win the reader over and it's up to your interpretation as to who wins lolololol. If the reader does know Childe's occupation, I kinda doubt they'll let him off easy considering that they're the grandmaster's cousin... But then again, they're eccentric af like Varka too lmao.
After that Mondstadt festival I started imagining that Varka brings home Capitano and the reader brings home Childe and the three go "???" while the reader stands confused lmao
-----
"What are you doing here, Capitano?!"
"Who are you?... Oh. You are the eleventh harbinger."
"Yes– W-wait... You... Recognize me?!" (fanboying)
"Waaaait a minute! (Y/n), why did you bring home a harbinger this festival?!"
"I could ask you the same Varka– wait, what do you mean harbinger?"
-----
Reader's a tease. If they're as chill as Varka, they'd probably tease him to death and say something along the lines of
"You thought that light of the moon pickup line didn't you give massive villain vibes? Please, Ajax, I'm an outcast but even I don't say things that weird"
Although if they are fine with that (still doubt tho), that'll put Diluc at a MASSIVE disadvantage. Good for childe, good for childe.

(Same 4D chess anon)
I noticed the Al thing due to a video explaining it. But for some reason it didn't fully register in my mind and kept using Al, until I got tired of typing it and just went for Hai 😂
And about Ayato, the reason why you see Inazuman characters with their surname first then their name, is because in Japan they value more the household name as a family rather than by individual (for example, when Kazuha always refer to his family as the Kaedehara Clan) due to pride and honor. That's why Mondstadt characters such as Diluc and Eula, whom are of noble origins but doesn't use their last name as a form of status (Or at least Diluc doesn't. Although Eula mentions it more like the customs of Lawrence family and not as a given) Actually, when you hear the presentation line of Diluc, he says he is from Mondstadt rather than being a *insert his last name bc can't type it*.
Makes sense If you have into account Mondstadt history with nobility!
Oh don't worry I know about how japanese last names work haha :DD was quite the "weeb" before. It's just that I'm not confident on how tumblr works and if people search "yandere kamisato ayato" or go straight to "yandere ayato" lololol. unlike non-inazuma characters, it's really cute how long their names are on screen. Kazuha is my first 5 star so I remember tons of people making memes about his name tag lololol
Euiaiaejwi, we don't know how to really adress alhaitham in my friend group either. He got a couple of nicknames
Al
Haitham
Ham (a personal fave)
Wife (this one's strange to explain so no i will not explain it. and whatever you imagined, that's probably the right answer lmao–)
And oooh, I never noticed that about Diluc! Admittedly, I probably missed that detail cause I was a major Kaeya simp when I first played this game lol– I wish we could really learn more about Mondstadters and their clans. I'm still on copium that Varka is on the Imunlaukr Clan lol (built the premise of an old fic on that so pls be an Imunlaukr)

Aka: my last fanfic featuring Scaramouche, Alhaitham, Kaveh, and Kazuha. A fanfic-game with 4 branching endings.
Premise: You're stuck in a killing game inside your dream school. It started with 16 students– and now you're left with only 6 of them. Senior Faruzan was murdered. Who is the culprit among these 5 people?

i got so tired of writing vision qualificatiom it just ended up as vq 💀💀💀 and the amount of times i wanted to send sunshowers as just "ss" but yknow i tried my best
ty for ur answer! it helped me form more solid thoughts on yan vq al-haitham and the vq mc. and i ADORE sunshowers i wish more people knew about it the writing is solid and it made me realize how dreadful of a yandere ei can get
ps. i want to send in smth similar to this about hyshum but maybe some other time, all that critical thought juice went into titty man and i need some time before i can think about lumine and dainitri
😋 anon
Dw me too 😭 I regret making the tags so long like it went from "tag: soldier poet king - childe thoma diluc" to "tag: cd - tighnari" lololololol
Tumblr media
Writing "Sunshowers" made me rewatch the archon quests over and over again lmao. Most of what Ei said there were great dialogue material and she's already terrifying enough, it felt like I didn't even have to add more to that fic. She feels like a natural yandere already. Ei delivers her paranoia and separation anxiety so calmly that it's concerning.
Orange friend simps for Lumine so much and "slanders" Dainsleif constantly, so I guess we should expect to hear more from her once I resume writing HysHum lmao
Ps: if "dainitri" exists I want him on my doorstep. I am broke as heck I can't afford a welkin but I will save for dainitri– idk if it's you 😋 anon but I received a dimitri and dain crossover brainrot and I have been keeping it in my inbox like a greedy dragon protects their hoard of gold lmfao–
