Sylva Via Fleuret
Sexuality Headcanon: Straight until proven otherwise (yes this is a challenge)
Gender Headcanon: Doesn't realize there are other options beyond Male/Female but will happily smile and call you whatever you'd prefer
A ship I have with said character: Sylva/A More Complicated Character Design
A BROTP I have with said character: Sylva sees herself as the reluctant guiding figure to a young and rebellious Regis. She is very glad Noctis doesn't (seem) to have the same tendencies
A NOTP I have with said character: Sylva/Ardyn. Don't date the man who murders your daughter, okay?
A random headcanon: Square had to kill her early because if she had the chance to do ANYTHING, the game would have came out different.
General Opinion over said character: I basically paste my own ideas onto her, which is fine since she's made out of cardboard.

Oracle’s Light: WIP
Chapter One: The Oracle-Queen’s Duty
-
It was required of Sylva to be first the Oracle of Eos. Then, she was Queen of Tenebrae. They both were followed lastly by her role as Wife and Mother.
-
Focus was the mantra taught to her bloodline, the steady line of fuel supplied to sustain the flame of magic nestled deep within Sylva’s chest. She felt it humming, blazing in her chest - a golden candle, a miniature sun that gave off such heat it felt as though it hollowed her bones from the inside out. It was a slow, searing ache that carved a place for itself through her flesh and burrowed into her blood,
It was a holy flame that was never allowed to be quenched, allowed to dim. A sacred, benevolent light that was not to be tamed, only tempered.
A blessing that brought healing once thought to have departed the star with the enraged flames of the Infernian, the Pyreburner who had lost the kind heart he’d once been known for and laid to rest at the end of the Astral War - only to resurface within her ancestors, survivors of Solheim, in a time near immemorial by modern standards.
Yet with all blessings from the gods, even ones brought by blood ties and passed down through family lines, mortals paid the price for wielding such powers.
As Sylva cradled the hands of a young girl, one of the many that had migrated to Fenestala in hopes of seeking aid, in hopes of their lost health being restored, she could feel her magic’s simmering heat begin to crest within her chest like a building tempest waiting to break loose. The poor thing looked lethargic in her cotton pinafore, uncomfortable with the bright rays of the sun that poured down from the heavens even sequestered away beneath a canopy as she were.
Sylva could feel the illness that had made its home within the child’s body, long before her eyes registered the more physical symptoms. It was not something seen with her eyes, but she could see it nonetheless.
The infection was a sickening sight to behold, formless traces of shadows that clung to her - dark, grim shadows that seemed to recoil from her mere presence and the radiance of the magic hidden under her skin. It almost seemed worm-like, pulsating like little grubs slowly dragging themselves over fallen tree trunks.
On a physical level, it had progressed far enough that the child’s veins had turned dark - not a proper shade of blue through her skin as they should have been, but an alarming shade of purple. Had it progressed much further, they would have begun to turn black as though her blood itself had turned necrotic.
Already, Sylva could feel the soft, almost velvety, dark patches that had begun to spread across her skin, over the knuckles she rubbed soothing circles into.
Yet another sure sign of the Starscourge’s deadly, diabolical presence.

What is the first thing that Time Travel Fixit Isekai Loqi does? And how?
The first thing he does is panic -- he died, he remembers dying. But now here he is in his childhood bedroom, in his twelve-year-old body, the leg he lost restored bc he was in his twenties when he lost it.
And then he realises when he returned, and realises that holy shit, he can change it. He can change everything, maybe even including the apocalypse he spent the last ten years living through.
So he slips away from his house, steals a former/no-longer-future comrade's magitek armor, and heads to Tenebrae with one singular goal: prevent the death of Sylva Via Fleuret, Queen of Tenebrae and also the Oracle.
His success throws everything off the rails.

QUESTIONS FOR MUNS. || @divinitysheart || accepting
7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.)
I adore Familial stuff. You can ask @bishonenprince and @spiinsparks ( also @fellstcr ) about the number of stupid squishy family things that we have talked about for muses. Most if not all of my muses are only children so they do not have the opportunity to spend time with siblings, and many of them do not have great relationships with parents. So getting the opportunity to write things with adopted family or their canon family ( Noctis and Regis have such a honest and lovely bond; he’s such a good dad who wants nothing but good for his son despite all that is going to happen to that poor boy. )
The only thing that keeps me from writing it more often is that a number of my muses are surly at best or combative at worst. Therion refuses to be touched or spend any amount of time with someone unless he’s sick or dying. Lars is the same, save his single minded drive for revenge and his need for the attention he literally didn’t get as a child, but that is far too deep for anyone to fufil.
Just give me all the family things. Sojiro and Futaba for Akira. Zack’s parents. Regis and even Sylva via Fleuret for Noctis and Lux ( we aren’t even going to talk about my OC sibling for Noct, their bond is so pure ). Sephiroth and the SOLDIERs, because they are a family and he’ll defend them.

[ ABOUT THE ORACLE ]
lumina nox fleuret is the younger sister of ravus nox fleuret and the daughter of the late queen sylva via fleuret. she’s the princess of tenebrae and the youngest oracle in history, regularly convening with the astrals.
noctis frequently calls her “lumii”, and has since they were both children. it took some time, but she eventually convinced the chocobros to do the same instead of any honorifics for a sense of familiarity and casualness.
her covenants with the astrals put a strong physical strain on lumii’s body that leaves her greatly weakened. however, she tends to overexert herself in order to awaken the next god for noctis’ trials and fulfill her destiny.
ravus is against her covenants out of a severe worry for his sister’s well-being and his hatred towards the crown. they have also caused her hair to gradually shift from a light cocoa brown to a stark white, the final pact with leviathan changing it completely.
lumii is an avid dog lover and it is common to see her with her two canines: pryna and umbra. only she and gentiana (later the chocobros) know that they are, in truth, messengers of the astrals.
while pryna typically stays with her, umbra regularly travels across eos to relay messages between her and noctis in secret. throughout her notebook, they communicate to stay in touch despite their distance.
lumii’s experienced with lances, staffs, and swords, training with them since she was young but very rarely actually needing to use them to defend herself. her go-to weapon is a rapier, but she also carries the trident of the oracle.
wanting to be of help to the world of eos, she often travels around in order to heal people suffering from the starscourge without expecting anything but a safe recovery in return.
[ TIMELINE ]
m.e. year 735, lumina nox fleuret is born to sylva via fleuret.
moments after her birth, the high messenger gentiana appears and ordains that she is to ally with the lucian prince to restore light to the world. a less than a month later, noctis lucis caelum is born.
due to positive relations between tenebrae and lucis, lumina and noctis meet often and become childhood friends. she is aware that their meeting was done to tie their fates together, but genuinely cares about him and treasures their friendship.
despite the eight year age difference between them, lumina and ravus were extremely close that they were nearly inseparable. he provided a welcome relief and distraction to the heavy weight that came with becoming an oracle in the future.
pryna and umbra appear and are kept under lumina’s care.
gentiana once again reminds her of her given task and is moved to hear of her genuine resolve to be there to not only help noctis, but the people of the world as a whole. from there, gentiana’s faith in humanity is steadily restored.
m.e. year 744, noctis is brought to tenebrae to recover after his near-death experience and remained in a coma for a short period of time. while he receives medical treatment and awakens, he and lumina are reunited.
lumina reveals that he’s the chosen king and her future duties as the oracle, notably amused but sympathetic that he doesn’t quite understand yet. she promises to be by his side not just because of her duty, but because he’s her friend.
during this time, noctis gives her the nickname “lumii”. despite her confusion, she happily accepts it.
sometime later, niflheim attacks and conquers fenestala manor, killing queen sylva in the process. king regis attempts to flee with both noctis and lumina, but she stays behind to ensure their escape.
with tenebrae forcefully surrendered over to the empire, lumina and ravus are put into imperial custody and it becomes an imperial protectorate.
from then on, she participates in a rigorous training regiment to prepare herself for the eventual title of oracle. from physical training to mental to spiritual, she worked day and night to surpass her own standards and those of the public.
several months after turning thirteen, lumina forges a covenant with shiva. gentiana becomes a mentor and motherly figure to her.
at the age of sixteen, lumina becomes the youngest oracle in history and immediately acts. she starts traveling across eos to heal those of an unknown plague, later revealed to be the starscourge.
lumina writes prompto a letter to thank him for finding the missing and injured pryna after noticing the bandage with his name on it. she also thanks him for being noctis’ friend, under the belief they knew one another as he was why the messenger was there.
niflheim offers lucis the peace treaty, which is accepted. she and noctis are bound to marry as a part of the treaty, and the prince is sent to altissia for the wedding. lumina, meanwhile, travels to lucis to meet with king regis.
while in insomnia, lumina meets the glaive nyx ulric and befriends him. during the attack, king regis orders nyx ulric to protect lumina, who is now the protector of the ring of lucii.
instead of passing in chapter nine of canon, she lives and is secretly under the care of libertus for a short time. he helps her recover and then tracks down noctis’ party, which she joins and parts ways with him.

Stella at times suffers from periodic bouts of insomnia, and so she turns to the piano which could sometimes be heard in the halls of Fenestala Manor in the late hours of nightfall . It was previously owned by her mother, Sylva Via Fleuret , and is located in the manor’s solarium where they would gaze at the moon and the stars while playing their favorite compositions together .
It was also the room Stella and Noctis would frequent back in their childhood .
Tumblr media
When Etro’s light takes its place in the night sky, Stella plays music on the piano as a source of comfort to the departed spirits roaming the mortal plane⸻a last act of love to the lost souls as she helps guide them to the goddess’ embrace with her tranquil melodies .
Some of her favorite piano pieces include :
Moonlit Melodies
Sofia la Notte
Across the Starlit Sky
A Sleepless Night’s Nocturne
Clair de Lune

Fic Prompts: Final Fantasy Friday
(Another part of my "Knight of Etro" au)
The dinner table was, for the most part, quiet. Noctis wasn't used to having a lot of company at dinner. And Ignis wasn't even here! But Lunafreya never seemed to mind him following her around, even though she was A Middle Schooler already and he was still a third grader. So Noctis leaned as far over the side of his wheelchair as he could and asked Luna questions about what she did for fun, whether they could go to the pool tomorrow, whether she liked video games etc.
"You should really meet Ignis. He's so cool! He's my re- retainer," Noctis babbled. "And Petrus, Lord Pavonem's son, he said a prince's retainer is a servant who gets paid to be my friend because I'm too much of a baby to make friends by myself. But Ignis says that's stupid, and he's older than Petrus so he knows more. And Dad says Iggy's mom taught him how to be a retainer because I didn't have any older brothers and I needed someone to look up to."
Luna's older brother looked faintly amused, but also just a little annoyed by the chatter. Noctis's dad had said that when he was a teenager, he should remember to be patient if a child ever tagged along at his heels, but also to remember that it was okay to want to spend time with people closer to his age. That's why sometimes he had to "give Ignis space". Noctis supposed that made sense, but he still thought Ravus was kind of boring.
Midway through the clearing of the dishes, there was a brisk tapping on the door. Everyone looked up, surprised.
Everyone except for Gentiana, of course. She hid a smirk behind her sleeve and facetiously wondered who it could be.
Ravus, being closest to the door of the private dining room, stood and opened it. Immediately, he was greeted by a scruffy-haired man in rich, but tacky, clothes.
"Wh-" was all Ravus had time to say before a dismally battered old fedora was dropped unceremoniously onto his head.
"Godfather Ardyn!" Luna squealed, hopping up in her chair, "You didn't say you were coming!"
"He never does," Sylva remarked dryly.
Ardyn winked rogueishly. "All the better to surprise you, my dears. Milady," he swept into a grand bow, "You're looking well. These rascals are behaving themselves, then?"
"Yes, godfather," Luna said sweetly.
"No, not particularly," Ravus contradicted, raising the battered hat. "Ask Lu why her puppy has a pink splotch on her butt."
"Ravuuuuus!" the little girl whined, "That was an accident!"
"Yeah, we didn't mean to," Noctis said sheepishly, despite having no idea who this godfather person was supposed to be.
Ardyn pretended to do a double take. "My goodness! Now who can this be? A new darling nephew to spoil?" He stroked his chin. "Hmmm no, you don't have the Fleuret eyes...a Hunter, perhaps, here for a job? I'm afraid I've already cleared out the naga today, so you're out of luck."
"No!" Noctis giggled, "I don't have a job!"
Ardyn snapped his fingers. "Ah! I have it! You're a very well-dressed Tonberry!"
Ravus pulled his hat back down over his face. "Uncle Ardyn, you're embarrassing."
"It's my job, dear boy," the man said airily. "You didn't think I'd come all the way to Tenebrae for your birthday just to be boring, did you?"
Noctis saw Ravus light up under the hat. "You came for my birthday?"
Ardyn stepped back and dropped an arm around his shoulders. "I most certainly did! I can't show you how your present works yet, unfortunately. Your mother has such strict rules about weapons at the table."
Regis stiffened at the table as he glimpsed armor under the raggedy coat and finally remembered where he'd seen the man before.
Last time, he'd been standing over them amidst the blood and flames, plunging a blade into the Marilith.

More Sunshine au please? Maybe everyone's reactions when Sola first gets published? I can definitely see Ardyn being a proud, bragging Uncle about it all. But just more of that verse in general would be amazing!
Alright, now that I’m not half-dead from work (three eight hour shifts in a row guys, eight hour morning shifts), I can properly answer this!
.
Reactions to Alata’s first papers getting published! (Two of her papers are published at the same time. Her personal research determining that miasma is destroyed by the UV radiation in sunlight, and the research by the medical task force in creating a treatment for early Vanishing Sickness using UV radiation.)
-Adryn is absolutely proud of his Dear Niece. And yes, he does brag to everyone about it. Because for years, Ardyn has very much been an Outsider among Niflheim high society. No one knows anything about this man who suddenly showed up and got the position of High Chancellor. No known lineage, much less a respected lineage, no history, no family, nothing. The nobility respect the fact that Ardyn is clearly a dangerous man, but they have only disdain for the man himself, for the filthy commoner who somehow has so much influence with the Emperor.
-So Ardyn takes great glee in bragging about Alata’s accomplishment. Getting published in any academic journal of notable repute is no easy task, and Alata’s work is in four journals in Niflheim alone, with reputable journals from Tenebrae, Accordo, and Lucis looking to publish the article as well. He brags partly as a way to thumb his nose at the nobles - my family is better than yours - but also as a way to advertise his niece’s research. The nobles are all but starving for any information about Ardyn, and Ardyn has just presented the bait of a previously unknown relative.
-And the nobles fall for it, hook, line, and sinker. They read Alata’s research. They contact the others involved in the research, asking about Alata. And if none of the scientists and doctors mention Alata’s age, well, she’s a sweet kid, and none of them want to toss her into the shark pit that is Niflheim politics. So an image of Ardyn’s niece is painted - a brilliant and kind-hearted humanitarian, with the ambition and determination to tackle the mysteries of the Vanishing Sickness.
-A possible chink in the High Chancellor’s armor, some think. A way to gain the Chancellor’s - and therefore the Emperor’s - favor, others believe. So they clamor for Ardyn to bring his niece to court. Such a bright and talented individual deserves opportunities to forge connections.
-Ardyn waits until the nobles almost think he won’t, then introduces Alata to court. Using the celebration of Prince Icarus’ betrothal to introduce her to the biggest possible crowd all at once.
-Alata shatters the nobility’s expectations. Yes, she’s bright and kind and ambitious and determined. She’s also fiercely passionate, sharp tongued and bluntly honest, with her uncle’s political acumen but no desire to pander to the song and dance of Court and stubborn enough to plant her feet and let any opposition break against her, like a wave breaking against a mountain.
-She’s also all of twelve years old.
-Ardyn is Smug.
-Besithia is an Outrage. He’s never liked the brat Ardyn picked up in Insomnia, not since she insulted his life’s work. But now, now this child has been acknowledged twice over by some of the highest academic journals worldwide. For the same research he’d scoffed at and dismissed as the idealistic ambitions of a six-year old.
-Besithia increases his efforts in his own research. He Refuses to lose to a child who isn’t as smart as he is!
-Queen Sylva is curious about this Alata Mederi. She didn’t personally attend Prince Icarus’ betrothal celebration, so she only has what her delegation and gossip can tell her. And Alata’s research, and does that spark Sylva’s curiosity. Because the research details how the Vanishing Sickness - referred to as miasma in her research - is destroyed by the UV radiation in sunlight, leading to the later medical research project in treating early Vanishing Sickness with UV treatments.
-Sylva can see how Oracle magic - Bahamut’s Blessing of Light - is able to cure the Starscourge where medicine and Lucis Caelum magic fails. But Sylva is curious how Alata discovered the Scourge’s weakness to sunlight at all. Prior research not published?
-In Lucis, Regis is not expecting to get a call from Weskham. He’s been too busy the past few months worrying about his son - who the Astrals have declared will die to cure the Starscourge, and Regis refuses to lose another child - and researching everything he can about the Starscourge. Going as far as asking Queen Sylva for any knowledge the Oracles have.
-So when Weskham calls and tells him of the article about the Starscourge in a Niflheim academic journal, Regis and Aulea leap on the opportunity. They secure copies of Alata’s research. It’s no miracle solution, but it’s the beginning of one, and Regis almost cries when he finishes reading it because- because this is proof that something can destroy the Scourge. Something that doesn’t require magic, doesn’t require his little boy sacrificing his life.
-If Regis decides to discreetly invest in Alata Mederi’s research, even as Lucis begins planning research of their own... well, niece of the High Chancellor or not, this research could save Noctis’ life.
And some other stuff!
-When Ifrit Blesses Sola, his Blessing replaces Bahamut’s. Because a) Ifrit is that petty, and b) his Blessing is Fire and Purity. The Holy Fire heals by destroying everything and anything that does not belong.
-(‘Reborn anew from fiery death.’ Sola burns in a pyre of white fire, and steps from the ashes with sun-gold eyes and white marks spiraling up her arms like fire from where Ifrit held her hands to bestow his Blessing. And when Sola later heals Titus of the scourge? Titus and Sola disappear in a firestorm of pure white, and well, as I said earlier, it’s rather hard on the glaives’ nerves. And oh does Sola healing Titus have unintended consequences.)
-Sola loses the Lucis Caelum magic. So do Loqi and Ravus, gifted with Sola’s magic as they are. No healing, no Elemancy save the Holy Fire unless Sola finds an Elemancy node, no warping, no shields, no armiger.
-Sure, Ifrit had Sola empty her armiger before he Blessed her, but he didn’t tell her why and now she can’t carry all of her weapons.
-Sola is still miffed about that.
-Half the people who meet Sola and learn of Ifrit’s Blessing are... shocked to say the least. Because, look. Sola is not reverent in any sense. Not to Ifrit or any of the other Astrals. Half the people in earshot choke on their own spit the first time they hear Sola call Ifrit a petty jerk.
-In this AU, Sola doesn’t pick up much Galahdian culture. She unnerves more than a few Galahdians wearing white and black. Combined with her red hair - that she keeps cropped short at jaw length, Sola hates dealing with her hair - and the white almost tattoo-like marks on her arms and the veritable armory she somehow stashes on her person (because I love the trope where a character pulls out weapon after weapon and everyone else is like, where are you keeping that?) Sola makes for an ominous picture to any Galahdian.
-And then they spend about five minutes in her presence and realize that she’s a massive nerd. Whose passion is linguistics, cultural development, and the reflection of such in literature and folk tales. That Loqi and Sola continue a previous debate on the accuracy of a translated historical work as they travel to Costlemark Tower, Ravus groaning in exasperation and Selena snickering, goes a long way towards easing Tredd, Luche, and Axis’ nerves.
-Noctis and Sola regularly write each other about once or twice a month. Sola doesn’t tell Noctis where she is or about her research. Not that she doesn’t want to, but she doesn’t know if Papa or Mama also read Noctis’ letters and she doesn’t want them trying to take her away from Uncle. Now that she’s older she understands why they would, but good intentions or no, Sola won’t let them stop her from reaching her goal.
-Noctis... kind of doesn’t tell anyone that he’s regularly writing to Sola. At first because it’s a secret, and managing to keep something secret from everyone makes eight year old Noctis giddy. Then it becomes something he’s possessive about. His letters with Sola are his. No one else’s, and Noctis is possessive of his new older sister and doesn’t want to share.
-Eventually Noctis does feel guilty about keeping his letters with Sola secret, once he’s a bit older and realizes how much Regis and Aulea and Cor desperately miss Sola. But he still doesn’t tell them, because how he doesn’t even know what he’d say. Oh, he’s been writing to his missing older sister for years now and never told anyone? Noctis is only eleven, but he’s not stupid. His parents would not be happy. Worse, they’d probably be disappointed.
-Then Noctis has the idea that if he convinces Sola to come home, his parents will be too happy about that to be mad or disappointed that Noctis didn’t tell them about the letters!
-Unfortunately, Sola tells him that she can’t come home yet. She has a very important promise to keep. And one should always keep their promises. But Sola promises Noctis that she’ll be home for his coming-of-age. Even if she can only visit. Noctis pouts and tells her that he’s twelve. That’s forever!
