Dinner guest, watercolour, 17x12 cm
The Nuthatch is a frequent guest at the bird feeders in our garden.
On weekends I've started to drink my first cup of coffee for the day by the kitchen window so that I can watch all the birds that come to eat the seeds and nuts that we've laid out for them. One of the best ways to start a day!

Once upon a time at the fifth of November it looked like this. 🍂
The two fern photos here are included in the print poll over at
p a t r e o n!
Folks at the print collector tier can vote - get em in there before Saturday. (Three slots currently open at this limited tier!)
Maybe I should challenge myself again to go out with my camera and find some unexpected beauty in this melting and grey gloomy weather? 🍃

I took a lovely walk in the forest and I brought my Bulbasaur and Eevee with me. It was fun finding cute little nooks and places to take fun photos. Not the best quality, and I partly blame my ADHD boyfriend who didn't appreciate me stopping for photos, so I had to take the photos as quickly as possible. Maybe next time I'll go alone 🌿

The weather was nice, so I took a longer bike ride through the woods than I usually do, followed the river up to a nice spot. I've really tried to get in better shape this summer and sometimes it feels like I actually am, but I don't know. ^^

The little royalty, watercolour, 17x12 cm
These little birds (goldcrest, Regulus regulus) always make me smile when I see them. Sometimes I see something fluttering around among the branches of a spruce tree, and that's enough to suspect it's them. Other times it's their song that tells me they're there.
When I was little I was taught by my dad that they're the smallest bird in Sweden. Since then the even smaller common firecrest, Regulus ignicapilla, is also found nesting here, making the goldcrest the second smallest bird in Sweden.
