he's  always  held  a  belief  that  the  world  works  in  CYCLES.  actions  repeat,  wounds  reopen,  sins  resurface  —  and  the  only  say  one  has  in  the  matter  is  how  they  choose  to  react.  whether  they  will  repeat  their  mistakes,  or  gather  the  strength  to  break  free  from  the  eternal  repetition  that  binds  them  all.  ren  supposes  it's  what  some  would  call  a  second  chance;  he  doesn't  think  of  it  in  terms  nearly  so  OPTIMISTIC.

the  scene  they  find  themselves  in  is  a  familiar  one.  laying  before  the  softly  glowing  cinders  of  a  dying  campfire.  sharing  a  single  blanket,  entangled  together  as  if  their  shared  SOULS  have  truly  become  the  unified  entity  they  were  always  meant  to  be.  it  feels  like  an  eternity  ago,  when  ren  surfaced  from  the  cold  grip  of  sleep  to  find  tears  wet  on  his  face  and  a  human  slumbering  too  close  for  comfort.  (  too  close  for  his  own  good.  )  at  the  time,  he  had  been  horrified  and  ashamed  to  realize  kazuha  had  such  a  hold  over  him  —  that  the  ronin  somehow  managed  to  carve  out  a  place  in  his  nonexistent  heart  and  made  himself  at  home.  the  wanderer  didn't  sleep,  yet  his  mere  presence  somehow  was  able  to  calm  him  to  the  point  of  performing  miracles.  it  was  a  KINDNESS  ren  felt  he  didn't  deserve.  not  from  him.  not  after  everything  he  had  done.

despite  that,  he  couldn't  help  but  crave  more.  more  love,  more  affection,  more  precious  scraps  of  that  addicting  presence  that  warmed  him  like  the  sun.  in  the  end,  the  wanderer  resigned  himself  to  yearning  for  what  he  COULD  NEVER  have  —  as  he  had  done  so  many  times  before.

he wonders what that version of himself would say if he saw them now.

i  love  you,  kazuha  says.  i  love  you.  i  love  you.  and  somehow,  ren  finds  he  believes  it.  (  even  if  there  are  still  times  when  he  struggles  to  understand  his  reasoning.  )  he  pulls  the  human  impossibly  closer,  face  buried  in  his  neck.  drinking  in  his  scent,  his  pulse,  him,  him,  him.  if  he  could  stay  here  forever,  peacefully  enveloped  in  kazuha's  warmth,  the  wanderer  thinks  even  the  endless  eternity  before  him  wouldn't  feel  so  insufferable.  at  best,  he  can  only  do  what  he  can  to  commit  the  ronin's  everything  to  memory  —  afford  him  the  immortality  fate  has  so  cruelly  denied  him  by  preserving  these  tender  moments  in  his  mind.  he  knows  he  could  reply  verbally,  yet  ren  instead  decides  there's  more  merit  in  tracing  his  back.  fingers  drift  up  the  human's  spine  —  and  under  other  circumstances,  perhaps  his  ministrations  could  be  taken  in  an  entirely  different  direction.  (  frankly,  he  wouldn't  be  too  upset  if  that's  what  kazuha  preferred.  )  in  this  context,  his  intentions  are  entirely  innocent. lulling him to sleep,  idly drawing  nonsense  patterns  as  he's  wont  to  do.

then  suddenly,  the  wanderer's  hands  go  still.  only  for  a  moment  —  only  long  enough  to  assign  some  degree  of  SIGNIFICANCE  when  their  movements  resume.  the  press  of  his  fingers  becomes  slow  and  insistent.  i  love  you  too,  ren  traces  into  his  back.  it's  so  much  easier,  so  much  less  complicated  than  saying  it  aloud.  combing  action  and  words;  their  preferred  methods  of  communicating  meeting  in  the  middle.  stay  with  me.  rest.  i'll  protect  you. i love you.

thanks to bein short staffed ended up clockin 70hrs this week and y’know, when saying am gonna take coworkers hours due to him being on vacation kinda meant that as a joke.

Anyhow bit of a different thing for Screentone Sundae, made another sticker design ft. Uro in some sort of strawberry soda float. Something lighthearted and a reminder to not work too hard and enjoy life.

As Cupid’s arrow sets it’s sights, Valentine’s Day brings a stir in our hearts and a flutter in our connections. Searching for that myself, and wading my way through the romance in the air, I discovered CMX—a chat site that became my sanctuary, where words weave bonds of companionship.

A Warm Embrace from the CMX Community

This site is dynamic and ultramodern, but the heart of it and the lifeblood is the CMX community. The connection was immediate, their welcome as comforting as a shared blanket in February’s chill. Real people who’s excitement for building connections mirrored mine.

As a writer, the cherry on top of this delicious CMX sundae was the writer’s room, where short stories, poetry and advice are in free flow.

This poetic entry by ‘Magivictus’ beautifully writes of dreamy eyes seen during late nights.

Journey when I step into the Jungle

Hai, welcome to this unhelpful article!

So my purpose in writing this is to fulfill my promise to myself that I will share my experience in finding a fulltime job when I got one. yeay. Meskipun udah telat bgt.

Before anything, let me make a disclaimer:

- this article won’t be so helpful to be your guide in finding a job

- pardon for the messy plot

- long, not important, 90% ranting.

let’s get started.

Seperti manusia biasa pada umumnya overthinking dalam memasuki dunia selanjutnya setelah beres kuliah mulai datang disela-sela menyelesaikan skripsi. Jadi, ketika lagi stuck, bosen, stres dengan perskripsian aku mulai mencari loker, membenahi linkedin, membuat cv. Apakah hal tersebut membantuku dalam mendapat kerja lebih cepat dibanding teman-temanku yang hahahihi dulu setelah sidang? tentu saja tidak 🤪 🤪 🤪 but better try than cry right?

Kemudian setelah beres masalah sidang, revisi, dan persyaratan wisuda, dimulailah kehidupan standar masyarakat sepantaran. job seeking, job hunting, whatever you call it. dimana-mana, kemana-mana. Jadi, jangan pernah nanya “udah ngelamar dimana aja?” karena jawabanya “BANYAAK”. Kan gamungkin kalo disebutin satu-satu, hehe. 

Karena aku hanya remah-remah, jd perjalananku dalam sebar dan lamar  lumayan panjang. Ngelamar lewat apa? Hampir semua portal kucobain, yg paling gampang masukin tp susah dapet panggilan sampai trust issue sama ini portal job tentu saja jobxxxxxt wkwk. Tapi tenang saja sobat hunter, portal ini real kok. Beberapa temenku dapet kerja dari sini, akupun pernah dapet panggilan disini. Sebenernya ada tips n tricknya biar dapet panggilan dari portal ini coba cari aja di google banyak. 

Nah dari sini kita kelompokkan aja ya, lamaran yg masuk ke tahap selanjutnya dan yg diterima. Untuk lamaran yg yg gada kabar tidak usah dibahas karena akan terlalu banyak 🙃 oiya, fyi jurusanku teknologi pangan. 

1. Lamaran yang masuk ke tahap selanjutnya

- yang sampe assesment/iview n no note to self:

QC teh kartini, MT RNI, Brand Management Intern PnG, MT Product Innovation Development Paragon, MT Kaldu Sari Nabati, QA Ki Antaka Rasa, rnd Benberg Arome, rnd sweet sundae, rnd Intern Rahsa Nusantara, MT Kaldu Sari Nabati, MT Loreal

- MT marketing Nestle: dari webnya, online assesment aja. fyi, so far soalnya adalah yang tersusah dari semua assesment yg pernah kutemuin selama hunting. 

- rnd Tabula: approached by linkedin. Psikotes, wawancara. udah. My first interview.

- MT Primafood: dari web portal kuliah. Wawancara offline, meskipun 3 vs 1 tapi sangat santai. Psikotest offline ke Semarang h-1 juga kayaknya, tidak didatengin karena tidak ada yg mengantar.

- MT manufacture Garudafood: dari webnya. administrasi 2, online assesment, fgd. udah. 

- Kraft Heinz Young Leader: dari webnya. online assesment, hirevue (fyi ini wawancara by sistem. jd nanti ada pertanyaan dari mereka (tertulis/video) kemudian kita jawab ntar direkam gitu, ada 2 kali kesempatan. trus submit). Mengerjakan tengah malem bgt biar rumah sepi, sangat effort. tp tidak menuju tahap berikutnya, semenjak saat itu uda paling males kalo baru tahap awal udah hirevue:((

- Graduate Trainee Pfizer: dari webnya. prescreening (hirevue). Menyesal mengerjakan mepet, jdnya submit melebihi batas waktu  😭 😭 😭 kukira pertanyaannya bakalan teori kayak KH, ternyata baru personal question aja. Tau gitu ngerjain lebih cepet...

- Pack Dev Laboran Kalbe: dari... Line? Wawancara online aja, ga online deng. via telpon. Padahal yg ini berharap n nervous, saking nervousnya berusaha kalem jd terkesan tidak tertarik wkwk. Mayan menyezal.

- MT QA Indofood: dari webnya. Ini 11 12 sama job****t karena dia apply2 doang, kaga ada respon. Kemudian tiba-tiba suatu sore dapet telpon, belajar dari Kalbe, aku ngerespon dengan penuh semangat. Dikabarin besok ada online assesment. Besoknya, soal assesmentnya teori yg mana aku udah lupa jd ya byebye. 

- Fastrex 2021 DHL Supply Chain: dari webnya. Melewatkan online assesment karena gabuka email. Baru tau 1 bulan setelahnya:)) karena gatau kenapa ke daftar pake email yg jarang kubuka. SANGAT MENYESAL 😭

- MT Supply Chain Unilever: dari ignya. online assesment, fgd. udah. Seleksi terpressure q. Pengumuman FGD 1 minggu lebih sebelumnya dan dalam kurun waktu tersebut aku sangat stres. Merasa ga sanggup dll (kebetulan ini bertepatan sama acara lain), takut keliatan bego, takut saingannya udah super bgt. Berakhir sadar kalo mereka ternyata juga manusia sepertiku. Biasa aja. hehe. Tapi darisini aku sadar, aku belum sanggup mengemban tugas seberat ini. Baru tahap seleksi aja aku udah pressure gajelas, gimana kalo kerja. Jadi, kita nikmati aja prosesnya. Pelan-pelan, gaharus langsung terbang. 

- CPNS: tentu saja dari webnya. Ini sangat out of me bgt sebenernya, tapi karena permintaan ortu yasuda kita iyain aja dprd kenapa-kenapa. Daftar Analis Industri Kementrian Perindustrian. 

Tahap 1 tentu saja daftar administrasi. Kalau semuanya udah sesuai harusnya sih pasti masuk ya? Jadi diteliti sedemikian supaya gada yg salah. 

Tahap 2 SKD. Offline, dan terdekat di jogja. Dapet sesi 1 jam 8 kalo gasalah. Berangkat dari rumah abis subuh, sampe sana tentu saja kepagian. Alhamdulillah lolos ke SKB. Menurutku, yg sangat menentukan yaitu, soal (karena katanya bisa ada yg dapet susah, ada yg gampang), jabatan yg dipilih (seberapa banyak peluang yg lolos ke tahap selanjutnya), saingan (kalo pas sainganmu nilainya tinggi, skor 450 bisa aja ga kejaring. kalo pas sainganmu nilainya rendah, skor 390 bisa aja kejaring:)) based on fact). 

Kemudian tahap 3 SKB, Kemenperin kebetulan ada 4 tahap: 

SKB offline CAT, yes ke yk lagi. 4 Des 21.

Psikotest Online. Ini lumayan mendadak sih kabarinnya. Ceritanya abis tes di yk aku mau otw jkt naik kereta malemnya. Tiba2 pengumuman psikotest online kalo gasalah h-3 dimana aku udah beli tiket. Jadwal sampai di jkt 5 Des jam 7 pagi, jadwal psikotest onlineku 5 Des jam 8 pagi. Bagaimana tida dugundugun. Long story short, bisa settle jam set8 udah siap untuk online tes dengan dresscode dan oncam :)) dan guessed what, baru dimulai jam 9 kurang karena proses verifnya lumayan lamaaa.

LGD Online. Seperti LGD pada umumnya. Ini juga ngaret, tp ga selama psikotest.

Wawancara Online. Ada 8 pertanyaan. Tapi menurutku ini bukan wawancara, lebih ke ujian lisan. Karena kita kalo nanya mereka ga jawab.

Pengumuman. Tentu saja kutidak lolos karena semua tahapan tadi kulalui tanpa persiapan, tapi cukup bangga dapet peringkat 4 dan at least tau tipikal soalnya kayak gimana. 

2. Lamaran yg diterima

Sampai detik ini, satu dan hanya satu di Shopee Indonesia:))

Kudaftar di Shopee itu 2 kali lewat web karir Shopee. Yang pertama dengan niat, yang kedua dengan asal. Alias waktu ada email buat proses seleksi aku tidak ingat pernah daftar (Ini saking q udah lost count daftar kemana aja). Waktu itu daftarnya untuk Intern.

Jadi pada suatu sore setelah bermain bersama teman, ku dapet email bahwa besok pagi ada tes MTK. 

Kalo ngga salah ini tesnya gada minus jadi yauda dijawab aja semua. Lebih ke MTK Logic atau GMAT namanya. Kemudian kukira udah. Pas jam 12an aku iseng cek email lagi (fyi emailku gada notif karena memori hpku udah penuh, jd emang harus selalu cek manual), ternyata lolos dan interview HR jam 1. langsung brb siap2. 

Interview HR ramean ada sekitar 15 peserta lainnya kalo gasalah. Ditanya satu-satu giliran, pake bahasa inggris. Tapi cuma pertanyaan general n bisa kamu temukan di internet daftar pertanyaannya. Di akhir dibilangin kalo yg lolos jam set3 bakal ada tes excell. Ok, nungguin terus tp udah mepet gada email apa2. Kemudian, tring ada. 

Akhirnya tes excell, jadi semacam dikasih file isinya kasus trus dikerjain. waktunya cuma 30 menit. Jd yg jago rumus sudah pasti akan cepat mengerjakannya. Tapi kubukan termasuk, tentu saja aku lelet dan mepet.

Kemudian, malemnya dapet email kalo besok siang bakal ada interview User. Waktu interview bersama 2 kandidat lainnya dan 2 User. Disuruh perkenalan, kutanya pake bahasa apa katanya terserah. Jadi kita pakai bahasa Indonesia saja:) Ditanya seputar Shopee untuk ngeliat seberapa familiar kita dengan mereka dan tugastugas nantinya. Lumayan banyak pertanyaan dan case/situational questionnya. Tapi so far nyaman wawancaranya. lebih kayak cerita, bukan yg tegang searah doang.

Sorenya dapet email untuk background check n malemnya dapet email offering. Semacam kaget dan lagilagi trust issue ya. Ini beneran ato ngga karena cepet bgt. Literally 2 hari aja semua prosesnya 🙏 tapi Alhamdulillah nyata dan tidak hoax ya teman-teman. Mungkin sebuah keringanan atas semua proses babibubebo di seleksi yang lain. 

Jadi setelah 8 bulan menganggur akhirnya aku dapet pekerjaan juga, meskipun masih magang tapi itu udah lebih dari cukup buatku. Kemudian masuklah dimasa-masa magangku. Keuntungan magang kalo kamu mau lanjutin karir di perusahaan tersebut adalah yes, peluang masuk lebih besar. Waktu wawancara User aku udah sempat nanya, bisa nggak kalo mau nerusin jadi karyawan. Dan dibilang tentu aja peluangnya besar. Kemudian mendapat tips dari teman-teman magang, kalau mau lanjut jadi karyawan harus cari-cari dari sekarang karena prosesnya lama (fyi offering intern biasanya 3 bulan, aku udah mulai cari2 dari sebulan setelah masuk)

Nah, biasanya anak magang bisa jadi karyawan kalo: 

- ada posisi kosong di team tsb 

- perform kamu bagus bgt

- nyari loker di team lain

Karena teamku lagi ngga ada posisi kosong alias udah packed, jadilah aku cari2 loker. Biasanya kita bisa tau loker dari HR (enaknya kalo udah magang, gaperlu apply lewat web karir dan bersaing dengan external untuk tahap administrasi). Karena udah mau abis masa magang dan ganemu2 juga dari hrku, akhirnya minta kontak hr lain ke temen-temenku. Ada sekitar 4 hr yang kuhubungin. Ini posisinya ku baru aja perpanjang masa intern. 

Dari 4 hr, ada 1 yg sore itu juga dia infoin kalo ada posisi. 

Kemudian kita call untuk dijelasin posisinya apa dan ngapain. Karena aku setuju, dia jadwalin untuk tes GMAT hari Senin karena posisi hari Jumat.

Seninnya aku tes GMAT. Soalnya beda dari pas intern.

Sorenya tes excell. Soalnya lebih complicated dan dibagi jadi 3 sub kalo gasalah. Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Tentu saja kutetap hehong, tp at least mengerti sedikit2 dari ilmu intern🙏

Setelah itu kok gada kabar, jadi waswas. besokannya chat hr. trus dikabarin kalo Kamis wawancara User. Dikasih tips n trick juga hehe

Kamis wawancara dan dibilang bakal mungkin dikabarin seminggu/2 minggu lagi. Sorenya background check.

Jumatnya dapet offering letter:)) Alhamdulillah. Gaperlu nunggu seminggu. Meskipun masih contract-based. Doain secepatnya jadi permanen ya Sohib🙏

Begitulah perjalananku mendapat full-time job. Tentu saja dibalik ini semua masih banyak cerita tapi lebih gapenting lainnya. Jadi terimakasih sudah membaca sampai akhir!
