You no idea what heels were, until you found some in a storage unit in Hell's Gate. You were snooping around the unit and came across a pair of red heels. This was new to you. As well as weird, you were used to seen others wearing boots or just flat out tennis shoes to be comfortable.
But you couldn't help but grow curious and try them on. It was a pain at first, since the heels held your feet up in a different position and they'd hurt after some time. Same with walking in them. You'd wobble and stumble around a first, but you manage to walk on them.
After some time, you decided to show off your new heels to your friends. When you walked to the camp, you had to do it barefoot. At first you were going to wear your heels, but the very thin heel would bury itself onto the dirt and you nearly tripped a few times. So you just walked barefooted until you got to the camp.
Once at camp, the Sully kids were already out of the hut and just hanging around their home. As soon as you saw them, you showed them your new heels. They had no idea what they were, just like you the first time you had found them. Then you went up an explanation of what they were and so on.
Then you put them on, showing them how you became a pro at walking on them. All they did was stare at the shinny red heels that you walked around on. Not only that, but you saw how their ears would twitch slightly by the clicking of the heels on the hard ground.
Ever since then, you'd began to get teased. Specially by Lo'ak and Spider. They'd go on and on how you were slightly taller now and how you nearly reached Tuk's height. Those two just loved poking fun at you ever since your heels were shown to them.
Kiri didn't really get the point in you wearing them. At first she thought that you didn't really need heels to be taller. That you were fine just the way that you were. But you told her that you simply wore them because they were pretty and stylish. Kiri still couldn't help but wonder why you wore them. They seem like torture devices.
Out of all her Siblings, Tuk liked your heels. She thought they were funny in a way but also cute. She'd often ask you if she could look at them, which you allowed her. She'd just look at the heel as if she was trying to figure out how or why they were made the way that they were. She often wishes she could hear your heels just to be a bit more tall.
Neteyam didn't mind, he was all 'Alright' when it came to your heels. He too didn't think you needed them, but if you liked them and choose to wear them, cool. He'd ask question after question on why you wore such shoe that can and will cause you pain thought. He never understood why humans made things that could cause you pain.
When Neytiri had heard about your famous heels. She too got curious. When she saw you wearing them one day, she couldn't help but find the clicking of your heels a bit annoying. When you came to the hut, she'd tell you to take them off. She too wonders why humans wear such painful devices.
She then went to ask Jake about them. He didn't know much, but explained to her why humans women, and some times men wear heels. She didn't get it at first, but after some time she did. She still despised human things, specially those noisy torture devices.

"so, your... thing bleeds every month?"
you nod
"are you stupid?
"i'm sorry?"
ao'nung clicks his tongue, looking at you with disbelieve. "that means you're doing something, only Eywa knows what, to yourself. and you’re doing it so badly that it bleeds-"
you hit him on the head, "no! what are you even thinking?"
"no, but seriously" neteyam looks at you with concern, "forgive me for watching you, but this morning i saw you wash your blanket that’s literally soaked with blood"
your face starts to heat up, "that means the cloth i use wasn't enough-"
"3 pieces of cloth to soak your blood. and it wasn't even enough?" tsireya's voice filled with worry, "are you sure you're okay? we could ask my mother to patch you up"
"reya, im fine-"
"no you're not! you came to her for painkillers this morning, to mend your stomach cramps!"
"its probably tape worms"
"no shit", rotxo snickers
"or just a real bad constipation"
"rotxo, ao’nung please” kiri rolls her eyes, tired of their stupidity. “they clearly said that the bleeding comes from their other below"
not long after lo'ak snaps his head towards you, mouth agape. "holy shit. i think i know what's going on", then quickly moves closer to you. his face just a few inches from yours, his terrified look terrifies you
"my mother experienced the same things as you, when we were about to have tuk. stomach hurting, below bleeding- "
"no. fucking. way” rotxo clasps his mouth, “are you about to give birth?"
"what?"
ao’nung’s jaw dropped. “who knocked you up?”
“that’s it i’m taking you to the tsahik”
“STOP”
your friends went quiet.
they could only stare at your flushed face as your breathing went erratic.
you gulp, trying to calm yourself down. you close your eyes, inhaling a good amount of oxygent to fill your lungs and letting your mind go blank. then, you could open your mouth again
"as you all know, female bodies bear children in their uterus, yes?"
they all nod
"good. now the uterus, in human bodies specifically, would prepare for pregnancy every month-"
"so you need to get pregnant every month?"
"shut up rotxo"
"wait a minute" kiri cuts you off, "you’re not pregnant, but you’re currently bleeding. so the bleeding occurs when the pregnancy doesn’t happen?"
"yup. because i'm not pregnant, my womb's lining shreds out"
their terrified screams deafens you

Do you still hate me?
MDNI!!🔞

Pairing: Aged!Up!Neteyam x Fem!Omatikaya!Reader
Warnings: explicit smut, enemies to lovers, reference of rape, fist fighting, mean Neteyam, dominant Neteyam, cussing, some degrading/dirty talk, porn w plot, I think that’s it??
Summary: enemies to loverssss w Neteyam! Lo’ak is your best friend and it’s caused a rift between you and Neteyam. Hatefulness turns into desire.
A/n: Hey guys! Just wanna let everyone know that I’m only gonna be writing porn w plot lol. So all my character are aged up. I like to have a backstory that builds up the tension, I think it’s so much better but I’m sorry if you think it’s too long or it’s not your thing! Also PLEASE send me ALL your requests and I will do them but please note that I’m only gonna be doing pairings with Jake, Neteyam, and Lo’ak. Enjoy!! 😘
“Hey, wait up!” you call out to Lo’ak. You two were exploring the forest of Pandora, a pastime you’ve both always enjoyed since you were little kids.
“Keep up loser! Not waiting on your skxawng ass!” he yells, not looking back and continuing to run and leap along the terrain.
You and Lo’ak were best friends, platonic soulmates really. Y’all were known for your mischievous behavior and carefreeness, though it’s toned down a lot now at your ages, you being 20 and him being 21. He liked to tease you and call you a baby although he was only older by a few months. Typical Lo’ak behavior.
Growing up you could always count on him for a good time, he was always making you laugh and cutting up with you after your daily schooling and duties were done. The grown ups and your parents would tease you both that you would grow up to be mates. You both thought ‘ewwww’ to that and still do. You loved him very much but not in that way. You were never jealous over each other, you both could talk about your crushes and so forth. There was a sense of respect in your friendship, and being okay that you were just friends and y’all truly didn’t want to ruin that friendship with anything romantic.
Now huffing and puffing and hunching over to catch your breath, you finally caught up to him since y’all were at the edge of the cliff now, right beside a waterfall. It was beautiful.
You stepped to the edge and he playfully tapped you as if pretending to push you off. You get into a play stance and aim to grab his tail. “Skxawng!” you laugh.
“Coming from you?!” he counters. “Hey, mom said she was making teylu tonight, your favorite. Come eat?”
You consider it for a second. Your parents often complained you were at the Sully’s too much, especially when Lo’ak invited you for dinner. And there was also gonna be Neteyam over there… the grumpiest asshole who often tested your patience. But you thought of the mouth-watering teylu and forgot about everything else.
“I guess so. Not because you asked but because I want teylu.” you teased. He just rolled his eyes with a smile and you two headed back to the Sully’s hut.
Back at the hut, you and Lo’ak entered in. “Y/n! I’m glad to see you, will you help me finish dinner?” Neytiri asked. She’s always liked you. “Of course!” you smiled.
After you two finished making dinner, she called everyone to come gather to eat in a circle. You took your usual place next to Lo’ak. Then Neteyam walks into the room. He makes eye contact with you and instantly tenses up. He looks away and resumes his broodiness. He was always like this around you. You would catch him laughing and being carefree around others, but it seemed like he absolutely hated you. Like your presence just sickened him. You couldn’t understand why though, all you ever were was nice to him. So now you do hold a grudge against him as all your efforts to be nice have done nothing.
Everyone ate dinner and made small talk about their days. You avoided eye contact with Neteyam of course. “Thank you for dinner mom, it’s delicious.” Neteyam says. “Thank you son but y/n helped me with it, she deserves some appreciation too!” Neytiri chirps.
Neteyam slowed his chewing and looked over at you. “Thank you, y/n” he mumbles. The tension is palpable and the silence is awkward. Everyone knows Neteyam doesn’t take well to you, though they don’t understand why.
After dinner, everyone starts cleaning and doing their own thing as they get ready for bed and settle down. You were looking for Lo’ak and about to cut the corner as you heard him and Neteyam speaking. You freeze and listen closely.
“Why do you always bring her for dinner? You know it’s family time. And plus don’t you ever get tired of being with her all the time?” Neteyam spits.
“Bro, why do you hate her so much? She’s done nothing to you and she’s my friend. Get over yourself,” Lo’ak storms away and before you can move your hiding spot, he runs right into you. You were definitely caught listening and he sees your hurt face. He ushers you away where Neteyam can’t hear or see you and starts trying to calm you. It doesn’t work much and you decide to just head home since you feel so unwanted there. Lo’ak offers to walk you back but you decline and say you want to blow off some steam on your walk by yourself.
As you were walking, all these thoughts were going through your head. You were distracted and not paying attention to your surroundings. Then you hear chuckling and low voices. You turn around and see two guys who you recognize but don’t know their names.
“Hey pretty girl, what’re you doing out here so late and all alone?”
The other one approaches you and you try to back up but are backed into a tree. He slides his finger underneath the strap of your top and smiles menacingly at you. “It seems like she wants some attention, huh? Like she’s asking for it..” they chuckle.
Your eyes are wide with fear and adrenaline is coursing through your veins as the realization sets in that you are in serious danger. You regret not letting Lo’ak walk you home.
Then suddenly the one closest to you is stripped away and falls to the ground. It takes you a minute to recognize who it is now punching him ruthlessly and you see that it’s… Neteyam?
The other one tries to get Neteyam off his friend but then he gets sucker punched into the oblivion. You’re just gawking but then finally snap into reality. “Neteyam, stop!!”
He hears your plead and stops. He raised up slowly and is peering down at the guys with their faces bleeding now. “Stay the fuck away from her or next time I’ll kill you both.”
They scatter off and don’t say a word. You’re breathing heavy because a lot just happened. You glance at Neteyam and he holds your gaze as his chest heaves up and down. He turns and starts walking away. Where is he going after what just happened??
“Neteyam, wait!” You run up and grab his arm to turn him to you. His eyes bore into your soul. There’s just a moment of silence as you try to think of the words to say.
“T-thank you for saving me… from those guys” You look down at the ground because you can’t hold his intense eye contact.
He barely nods his head in response and backs away. “You shouldn’t be out here alone this late. Stupid girl. And maybe you should put some more clothes on, you leave nothing to the imagination” He scolds.
Stupid? This was his fault! And commenting on your lack of clothes?? Hell no. “Then next time don’t save me, mighty warrior.” You mocked. “I don’t need you and you don’t impress me like you do everyone else. And you’re not the boss of me”
He just chuckled. “No but if you were mine you would know who was boss.” He towered over you.
Huh? This is outrageous and the most you and Neteyam have ever talked and this is how it goes??
“You’re CRAZY” you shout and push him hard on his chest. “I hate you.” You push him again.
His ears fold back. He can’t hold back anymore.
He grabs both your forearms and pulls you all the way to him and bends down to your ear. “You know what, sevin? I hate you too.” He pulls back and his eyes lock on yours. “I hate how bad I’ve wanted you for so long and you would never even look my way. Too occupied with my brother. I bet you’ve already let him fuck you. I could almost kill him for the fact you’ve always chosen him and not me.” He’s near trembling from a mixture of anger, hurt, and desire.
The truth was he hated seeing you with Lo’ak so much because it was a constant reminder that you weren’t with him. It frustrated him that Lo’ak was the one who got to spend time with you and make you laugh. It should be him, not his baby brother.
His confession has you dizzy, confused and breathless. You couldn’t believe what he just said and questioned if you were in a dream for a second. But no, this was real. Your body was betraying you by being hot all over from his scent in your nose and his breath falling on your skin.
His eyes are searching yours for answer, for anything. You really are just speechless though. He sighs and let’s go of you, ashamed. He goes to walk away and you grab him again to swing him around toward you.
“I’m sorry…” you reach up to hold his cheek with a light touch. “I didn’t know…” your voice cracks a little. “You should’ve told me, you idiot.” You pause for a second, “Lo’ak has not had me. Nobody has.” You confess.
You feel like you’re having an out of body experience but it feels so right. Maybe you were too tired but you honestly felt that Neteyam was being genuine. This realization quickly turned into need.
You go up on your toes to surprise him with a kiss. It’s sweet and warm. You loved the taste of him. You wanted more.
“I’m so sorry, y/n. I have handled this wrong and I am an idiot.”
He swooped back down to press another kiss on you. You open your mouth a little to let his tongue swipe in. The feeling goes straight down to your core that’s gaining more and more slick.
He pulls back and takes a deep breath in. “I smell you, tiyawn. You smell like heaven.” You blush at the fact that your body can’t lie to him. You do want him, want him bad. Even after all his bullshit. But you decided to put your pride aside.
“I need you, Neteyam. Please” you beg. His eyes turn from gentle to dark. Not in the way you’re used to seeing, but dark in a way that was primal. Like a predator watching it’s prey.
“Are you sure?”
You nod yes. He wastes no time and swoops you up bridal style. You look at him with questioning eyes as to where you’re going. “What’s the matter, sevin? Thought I was gonna take you right here for everyone to hear and see?”
Once he finds a nice secluded spot with cushiony moss, he lays you down swiftly on it.
“You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this,” he lowers himself on you and plants sloppy kisses on your neck and collar bone. Your breath quickens.
“You’ve no idea how long you’ve visited me in my dreams” he kisses lower, hand snaking up under your top to reveal your breasts.
“Fuck” he breathes. He squeezes his eyes shut and his head drops down. “I could almost cum at the sight of you”
He latched onto one nipple, gently nibbling on it with his teeth. He takes the other in his finger and starts pulling, pinching, rolling.
“Oh!” You cry out and arch back.
“That’s right, syulang. Gonna make you feel so fucking good”
He starts kissing down your stomach and around your hips as he unties your loincloth and slides it down.
“Fuckkk. You’re soaked, y/n. All for me?”
You nod frantically. He grins and gathers some slick from your aching cunt. It glistens on his fingers as he admires it. He sucks them clean.
“So sweet. So fucking sweet”
He lowers himself down to let his face hover over your sex, pulling your soft, plush thighs on top of his shoulders. He looks up at you through his eyebrows and starts feasting.
Electricity courses through your veins and you feel high. “Neteyammm” you whine pathetically. He continues lapping you up and the sounds are straight up sinful. You didn’t want it to ever end.
“Don’t stop!!” You cry. He just moans and groans on you, sending vibrations through you, hitting the spot.
You feel the high coming, it feels overwhelming and all consuming. You have no control over your body now, he has you completely.
“Gonna cum!! Neteyam!!” You pant and squirm, trying to get out of his hold.
He inserts a finger into your hole, “Cum on my face, pretty girl”. His low voice and words send you over the edge. You see stars and your eyes roll back to your head.
“HOLY FUCK!” You scream. He lets you ride out your orgasm on his fingers and face. He’s now covered in all your juices and licks up as much as he can.
“Shit, y/n. Wanna taste you forever” he groans.
You’re panting trying to catch your breath. Eyes half lidded and looking delirious. He raises up and you shift your gaze down to his tented bulge. “Show me” you point with a weak finger.
He flashes a big grin. “Being bossy are we? Who’d I tell you was the boss around here?”
You roll your eyes and softly chuckle. “Please Neteyam. Don’t tease me.” You wiggle towards him and open wide. You look up at him with siren eyes. The playfulness in him goes away and is replaced with hunger once again. He unties his loincloth and tossed it to the side. You bite your lip in anticipation.
He lines up his cock with your entrance and pushes in. The stretch was so good, as he brushed past all the right places. You looked at him and you both held eye contact, staring into each others souls. As he pushed and pushed you both shared looks of pain and pleasure, mouths agape and eyes fixated on the other. He finally bottomed out as far he could go, you couldn’t believe how full you were. Full of Neteyam, your worst enemy. Or so you had thought.
“Ready tìyawn?”
“Yes!! Go!!” You beg. He pulls out and slams back in.
“Oh, fuck!!” You yell. He starts a pace that has you losing your mind. He lowly groans and occasionally grunts.
“I wonder what your best friend Lo’ak would think about you under me, huh?”
You can only manage to moan in response. You can’t think about anything but your pleasure and Neteyam’s dick stuffed inside you.
He grabs your face and gets nose to nose. “Tell me, will Lo’ak ever get to see you so needy under him like this?” He never stops with his pace, skin steadily slapping and breaths and whines collecting in the air.
“N-no. We’re just friends” you whisper.
“Promise??”
“Yes!!! Please Neteyam!”
“Please what?”
“Make me cum!!”
He growls at your needy plea and fucked out appearance. He speeds up and buries his face in your neck. He’s losing it and feels his own release approaching.
“Shittttt, y/n. You feel so damn good. Please don’t let this be the last time I ever get to be in this pussy” he breathes on you.
You’re so fucked out you can barely form a complete thought but you understand his request. “It’s yours Neteyam! All yours!!”
He moans in appreciation. You feel the coil about to burst and hold onto him tight as he rocks into you ruthlessly.
“Neteyam!!”
“Mmmmmmm” he’s muffled from being in the crook of your neck.
You both cum at the same time, spasming on each other. He releases his load inside you and you take it in greedily while you come down from your climax. He stills and goes limp on you.
“Do you still hate me?” He jokes.
You roll your eyes and swat him playfully. “The bigger question is how are we gonna tell Lo’ak?”
“We’ll worry about that later. For now, sleep.” He kisses your head and you both fall asleep on each other peacefully surrounded by the forest.

Just for the Night
Lo’ak x Fem!Omatikaya!Reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: slight angst, one bed trope, frienemies to lovers, fluff, mutual pining, smut-ish
part two
Tumblr media
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Lo’ak’s head swivels at the sound of your exasperated whisper. He slowly rises from his crouched position near the entrance of his family’s tent, dropping his bow with a quiet thud as his eyes flick over the dark space.
First, his gaze sweeps over your tense form, noting the way your shoulders are bunched as your hands fall to your hips pointedly. Then he glances toward whatever’s caught your attention, a low groan rumbling his chest when he realizes what’s going on.
He crosses the tent in a few quick strides, coming to an abrupt stop beside Kiri’s bed, where she and Tuk are curled tightly in each other’s arms. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem. The two of them often end up in this position, especially on chilly nights like tonight.
But it is a problem. A big fucking problem because while your parents are away on a hunting trip, they’ve entrusted the Sully’s to watch over you. For the past several nights, you’ve been sleeping with the family, at the request of your father. He didn’t want you alone—unprotected—for that long.
“Kiri!” Lo’ak bends down, murmuring only inches from her face in an attempt to wake her.
His brow is pinched, mouth downturned in a deep frown. The muscles of his back ache from being so tense for days on end, but there’s nothing he can do to stop it. There’s nothing he can do to quell the way his body reacts to you.
He’s never been so irritated, so frustrated in his entire life. It’s not that he doesn’t like you. Usually, he tolerates you, finding it simple enough in the fleeting moments he runs into you around the village. But now, he can’t avoid you, doesn’t even get a break from your stifling presence at night.
Under normal circumstances, he settles for lingering glances when he’s sure you aren’t looking, and secret, wandering thoughts during the latest hours of eclipse. He’s always been drawn to you, finding it impossible to ignore the way his heart skips a beat at the briefest connection of your eyes with his.
You’re always close by, due to a lifelong friendship with his sister, and it wasn’t always a bad thing. When you were kids, the two of you often played together, flocking to each other like moths to a flame. But then, you all got older, and things became complicated.
Lo’ak quickly learned that the spark of heat in his lower belly whenever you got too close, accidentally brushing your skin against his, was most definitely not platonic. The realization flooded him with anxiety, uncertainty clawing at the back of his mind, catastrophic what ifs plaguing him.
He could never act on the stupid crush, that much was obvious. Because if he did, and the feelings weren’t reciprocated? It would crush him. Shatter a piece of his heart so violently he knew he’d never recover.
So, instead, he did the only thing he could think of to protect himself: push you away. Over the years, you’d gotten over the initial sting of his sudden dismissal, finding comfort in your budding friendship with Kiri.
He’s kept you at arms length ever since, barely acknowledging your existence other than to mumble the occasional terse response or sarcastic insult. As much as it pains him, carves a hole in his chest every time your lips pull into a frown because of his actions, it’s better to have your hatred than rejection.
At least that’s what he keeps telling himself.
“Kiri!” He tries again, raising a foot to kick her shoulder when she remains fast asleep.
“Are you crazy?” Your fingers curl around his bicep, tugging him back harshly before he can land the hit.
He stumbles back a step, eyes flicking up toward yours. His heart skips a beat, skin burning where you grip him firmly.
“Me? This is your fault for getting us into trouble.” He seethes lowly, willing himself to maintain eye contact when he notices the way your freckles have come to life, glittering under the low light.
He aches to trace your body with his heated gaze. Wants nothing more than to devour every inch of you while he has you this close. It’s a rare occurrence, since he typically does everything in his power to avoid this very situation.
But he doesn’t trust himself, doesn’t trust the way his body is so beholden to yours. He knows he’ll mess it up just like he does everything else.
Your jaw drops, eyes narrowing incredulously. The blame is equally his to bear, and you both know it. You’d joined his family for dinner, seeing as your parents are still gone, and the two of you couldn’t help but fall into a familiar pattern. Snapping at each other and arguing throughout the entire meal.
His father assigned you both the duty of cleaning up after everyone finished, insisting you work through your longstanding issues. Of course, it took longer than usual, as you couldn’t help but sabotage each others efforts at every turn. So now, you’re in this predicament, all because the two of you refuse to find common ground.
“I’ll just wake Tuk then.” He yanks his arm free a bit too harshly, stomach flipping when you wince, retracting your hand quickly.
“No!” You whisper pointedly, eyes narrowing.
Your gaze falls to the sleeping pair, unable to make yourself disturb them. You know they’ve had a long day, and it’s late. It wouldn’t be fair. Even though the youngest Sully is occupying your temporary sleeping spot beside your best friend, meaning the only other option is…
“Not a chance in hell.” Lo’ak growls, watching closely as your gaze shifts to his cot.
It’s the only empty bed in the tent. His parents rest together across the room, Kiri and Tuk are obviously spoken for, and Neteyam, well…color blankets your cheeks at the thought of sharing such a small space with him. He isn’t even awake to gain his permission, and you wouldn’t dare climb in beside him without asking.
“Just go home.” Lo’ak’s chin drops, narrowed eyes searing straight through you to hide the way his heart threatens to beat out of his chest.
The idea of sharing a bed with you, of your body only inches away for the entire night…fuck. It drives him insane, makes his stomach flip with something hot, something he’s suppressed for too long to acknowledge now.
“You know I can’t do that!” Your arms cross over your chest tightly, hip popping in annoyance. His eyes can’t help but drop toward the movement, hooded gaze lingering a second too long over your curves. “Your parents will freak out if I’m not here in the morning.”
He growls, tearing his eyes away as his face screws in displeasure. His lips purse, one hand rubbing down his face as he considers the options. He can’t exactly kick you out because, as you said, his parents would rip him a new one if they found out. But the idea of being so close to you makes his stomach flutter uncomfortably, heat prickling at the skin of his face and neck.
“I know you don’t like me, but one night without being an asshole won’t kill you.” Your voice drops, a twinge of sadness hidden beneath the rough hiss.
Lo’ak’s jaw grinds, hands tightening into fists as his eyes cut through the darkness, boring into yours for a long moment. His chest aches, a mix of frustration and something else, something he can’t quiet name cinching his heart. His tail curls at his back, swaying side to side as his mind races.
He hates that you think so lowly of him, the idea weighing heavily in his gut. But there’s no one to blame other than himself. He’s done this, made you believe he can’t stand you out of pure selfishness. And he’s the one who has to deal with the consequences.
“Fine.” He grunts, stalking toward his bed stiffly.
He gathers his blanket from its disheveled position over the mattress, crumpling it up before pulling it tight, creating a long barrier that he shoves in the center of the bed. You watch with a quirked brow, eyes dancing over his toned body as he crouches over the bed, hastily shuffling the material around until it's perfect.
Sharp teeth find your lower lip, chewing on the plush skin as you're momentarily mesmerized by his fluid movements. You can't deny, no matter how much it pains you, that Lo'ak Sully is attractive. He'll never know it, since he spends most of his time being a jerk to you, but everything about him makes you hot.
The low timbre of his voice, the confident sway of his shoulders when he walks...Ewya, there's no getting around the fact that the skxawng (idiot) ignites a flame of desire deep within your belly. It’s infuriating, really, the way your traitorous body responds to him against your will.
He plops down onto the edge of the woven structure, long fingers curling tightly around the bedframe. He glances up at you through his brow, golden eyes glowing with clear irritation.
“Just stay on your side.” He mutters, searing gaze lingering for a second too long before he slides into bed, laying with his back toward the makeshift wall.
“Gladly.” You can't help but roll your eyes in exasperation, a rough sigh falling from your lips as you cross the room, mirroring his position on the empty half of the bed.
Tense silence blankets the tent. Both of you lay completely still, muscles taunt with uncertainty. You've never been this close, in such an intimate situation. Warmth radiates from Lo'ak's back, a stark contrast to the frigid air that shifts in through the slight gap in the entrance.
Within seconds, a chill washes over you, making your muscles tremble. Your arms wrap around your middle, hugging tight in an attempt to hold in some body heat. But the evening breeze is constant, leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake as it caresses your skin.
“Stop it.” Lo'ak barks, tail snapping against his leg in annoyance. You’re shaking the whole bed, and it makes his chest cave with annoyance. For some reason, the idea of you suffering only inches away has his stomach in knots.
“Oh, I'm sorry.” You turn slightly, glaring at him over your shoulder as you coo the sarcastic apology. “Is my freezing to death bothering you?”
“Don’t be a wuss. It's not that bad.” His spine stiffens as your shift in weight rocks the bed, the back of his neck prickling under the weight of your pointed stare.
Despite his words, a shiver runs down his spine, making his teeth chatter as cool air seeps into his skin. It’s colder than average tonight, but he's locked in place, terrified to move an inch incase his skin touches yours.
This goes on for what must be a least half an hour. Both of you are too stubborn to even consider giving in. It's turned into a silent battle, a war of wills to see who breaks first. At this point, your muscles ache from clenching so hard, but you're willing to endure it to avoid acknowledging how close Lo'ak is.
How the heat from his back penetrates the cool air, tickling against your spine with the whisper of comfort, of the warmth you so desperately crave. It's so close, only inches away. All you'd have to do is lean back a tiny bit and—
A gasp lodges in your throat as a frustrated growl pierces the thick silence, just before Lo’ak flips over roughly. The bed rumbles, a large hand gripping your hip firmly. In an instant the blanket is ripped from between you, creating a valley of space.
You clutch onto the mattress as you’re dragged across the bed, until your back is flush with Lo'ak's chest. Your eyes pop wide, the heat of his skin almost too much as it sears through the icy layer coating your body.
He’s suddenly everywhere, invading every one of your senses. His scent wafts over you, light and earthy, tickling your nose as his chin rests against the top of your head. The strength in his corded muscles makes your breath catch as they meld with yours, pressing into you firmly.
“Goddamn. You’re freezing.” Warm breath fans the skin of your neck, causing another shiver to roll down your spine.
Lo’ak trembles against you, partially from the stark contrast in temperatures, but mostly because of you. He’s hyper-aware of every movement, every quick rise and fall of your chest.
His fingers twitch against you, restraint tightening his chest as he desperately represses the need to touch you, to drag his hands over your body until you’re moaning his name. He tried, he really did, but keeping himself at arms length with you this close was near impossible.
At the end of the day, he’s only a man, and you make him weak. It was simply a matter of time, and he just couldn't take it anymore, knowing sleep would never come with your shivers shaking the bed like that. And now his heart clenches, stomach tight with remorse when he feels just how cold you are.
He's lucky enough to run hot, typically sleeping uncovered, but tonight is exceptionally bitter, to the point where even he wants to wrap up. You're rigid in his hold, every muscle in your body taunt as he settles into you. One of his arms snakes beneath your head, the other slinging loosely over your waist.
His eyes flutter as he allows himself a single moment to enjoy the newfound proximity before they pop wide, horror washing over him as he realizes what he's just done.
“What are you—” The question is a breathless whisper, heart pounding so harshly you’re sure he can feel it.
“I can’t sleep with you shaking the bed like that.” He responds curtly, voice matching the tension in his body as he stiffens against you.
He wasn't thinking, simply acting on pure instinct. Truthfully, he couldn't stand the idea of you so uncomfortable right beside him. In that moment, his heart demanded that he put his pride aside, allowing both of you what you so clearly wanted.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, a mischievous voice whispers in the back of his mind, if he let his guard down just for the night...
Despite continued internal protests, your body gradually sinks into his. Coiled muscles slowly unravel, a soft sigh falling from your lips as his heat blankets you. It penetrates the frozen shell encasing you, allowing you to relax for the first time all night.
Your shoulders shift, hips swaying side to side as you nestle closer, eyelids growing heavy as a wave of sleepiness washes over you. Finally, finally feeling a semblance of comfort for the first time that night. Lo’ak jolts when your hips writhe against him, cock jerking to life beneath his loincloth.
“Don’t do that.” He growls lowly, the sound rumbling through his chest and into your back.
His arm tightens around you, stilling your movements as he shifts his hips back, carving out space between you. A soft groan of protest falls from your lips before you can stop it. In your tired state, your body chases his warmth, pressing yourself against him again with a sway of your hips.
A sharp hiss is forced through his clenched teeth, cheeks flaming when your ass rubs along his already painfully hard cock. Fuck, he silently chastises, this can’t be happening right now.
Your brows furrow in confusion when he tenses behind you, something firm stirring against your skin. He’s so rigid, so stiff, even though he’s the one who pulled you in. It doesn’t make sense.
Suddenly, realization dawns, and your eyes pop open in surprise. Your breath hitches, heart thrumming wildly between your ribs. Your lower belly dips, warmth rising in your core.
“Lo’ak, are you...?” Your head turns, temple only a fraction of an inch away from his lips.
You’re so close, they brush along your skin with every minute movement, sending a shockwave of desire between your legs.
Tentatively, you flip over, rounded eyes peering up into his as you face him. His jaw ticks as he lays completely still, muscles taunt as his heated gaze watches your every move. Color blankets his face, skin hot as a wave of embarrassment washes over him.
You can see how much he wants you, a burning flame of arousal making his golden eyes shimmer in the low light. Ragged breaths mingle, chests heaving as you both pour every ounce of pent up longing into the tiny space between you.
Something snaps within you, and you can’t help but close the last few inches, leaning forward to connect your lips with his.
He responds eagerly, all restraint instantly forgotten. His hand leaves your waist, instead cradling your jaw as he urges you closer. A low groan rumbles his chest, heart exploding with relief that you want him too. His tongue swipes along your lower lip, and you readily open for him, allowing him to explore your mouth freely.
He swallows your gasp of surprise when he flips onto his back, free arm snaking around your waist to haul you on top of him. Your spine arches as you chase his lips, never breaking contact while your legs part, his body easily sliding between them.
You’re straddling him, knees pressed into the mattress on either side of his hips. You can’t help but grind into him, a low moan rumbling his chest in response. You’re already soaked, the rough material of your loincloth creating delicious friction against your clit as it drags along your wetness.
Lo’ak moans, cock twitching desperately beneath his loincloth. He ruts into you, kiss turning feverish. You’re both completely lost in the moment, surroundings forgotten as you devour each other.
The hand cupping your face slides downward, caressing the skin of your neck before skating over your collarbone. A chill runs down your spine, hips stuttering over his when he cups your breast, gently kneading the soft flesh. His thumb ghosts over your stiff nipple, sending a shockwave of pleasure to your dripping pussy.
His other hand grips your hip with bruising force, dragging your clothed center along his cock at a steady pace. He trembles under you, abs tensing, the muscles of his lower belly rippling, already nearing his peak. He pulls back, chest quaking and heaving as he tries to catch his breath.
“Fuck, Y/N.” His voice is rough with desire, hips snapping up into yours harshly.
A shaky moan falls from your lips just before you close the distance again. Lo’ak ruts into you roughly, desperate to feel you fall apart for him. His fingertips trail along the string of your loincloth, dipping under the material, ready to rip it off you in one fluid motion.
That is, until someone stirs across the tent.
You both freeze, mouths ripping apart, muscles instantly taunt. Your breathing stills, eyes popping wide to peer into his fearfully. He blinks up at you, ice cold air washing over him as he’s catapulted back into reality. Back into his family home, where his parents and siblings sleep only feet away.
Shit, he hisses internally, what the hell am I doing?
A chill runs down your spine, body trembling not only from the cold, but from the weight of what you were just doing, lust-fueled thoughts clearing. Lo’ak still lays beneath you, stiff as a board. Your eyes flick over him, from his raised brow, to his reddened cheeks and parted lips, all the way down to his heaving chest.
You glance to the side, head turning slightly at the sound of light footsteps against the floor. Your adjusted eyes easily find Tuk through the darkness, watching with baited breath as she pads across the room. Her arms raise in a sleepy stretch, eyes still closed, a long yawn splitting her lips as she makes her way toward her parents bed.
You’re quick to scramble off Lo’ak’s lap when she settles between them, instantly drifting back to sleep. He rises onto his elbows, still catching his breath as you push yourself from the bed. Your arms wrap around your middle as you stand awkwardly beside him for several beats.
His stomach twists, already missing your heat. But the spell of desire that consumed you both has been broken, replaced with uncertainty and a tinge of remorse. He blinks up at you, hands curling into tight fists at his hips to prevent himself from reaching out, from pulling you back to him and claiming you the way he so desperately wants to.
“I’m just gonna…” You gesture toward Kiri’s bed blindly, voice low as to not wake anyone else.
“Yeah.” He nods absently, clearing hoarseness from his throat.
With one last lingering glance, you turn on your heel, eyes pinching shut the second your face is shielded from his piercing stare. Your heart is racing, chest tight with disbelief at your own actions. With one taste of his lips on yours, you were putty in his hands. It’s shocking, and unnerving, the way your body submitted to his advances so readily.
You quickly stalk across the room, tucking into Kiri’s bed. Thankfully, your back is toward Lo’ak, concealing the tiny smile that won’t leave your face. You don’t even bother messing with her blanket, the chill from the cool night air long gone under the weight of Lo’ak’s searing touch.
It’s etched into your skin, the feeling of his firm hold, the light caress of his hard ridges against your softness…Eywa, you’re done for. One taste isn’t enough, the ache between your legs already urging you to finish what you started. As you settle into a comfortable position, fingertips drag along the skin of your lips, where they still burn from his touch.
Sleep doesn’t come easily for either of you. Unbeknownst to the other, you both lie wide awake for the majority of the night, contemplating what just happened between you. It makes your cheeks flame, equal parts embarrassment and arousal keeping drowsiness at bay.
Whether for better or worse, one thing is clear: your relationship will never be the same again.

a.n.: ask and ye shall receive! this has been in the cooker for a hot minute. @eddiemunsonguitar this is also for you.
Eywa, it was so wrong. Unbelievably so. So sinful that it made you burn with embarrassment and borderline self loathing every time you weren’t burning with desire.
Desire for a man old enough to be your damn father.
It was innocent enough at first. He was just so big, and caring, and funny. And as you got older, your mind started wandering away from a silly little crush to full blown fantasies. Fantasies of him coming into your room at night, grabbing onto you and having his way with you. Practically ripping off any clothes just to ravish you until you couldn’t so much as move the next day.
And at the center of all these fantasies were none other than Toruk Makto himself. Jake Sully.
How could you be blamed? The crop of scientists, as much as you loved them, hardly sufficed when it came to what you craved in a man. Besides, not one of them would even go near you in anyway other than platonic and parental; they had practically raised you.
You were isolated and horny, with no one and nothing to take your frustration out on. And the only one other than the scientists that regularly visited was the Olo’eyktan. Who never even really looked at you, frankly.
Then again, you didn’t see him up close and personal for the first eighteen years of your life; the first half of which was spent cowering in your room or behind tech, and the second half spent admiring from a distance.
Watching with greedy eyes how his abdomen flexed when he leaned over to study Norm’s tablet, or how his thighs tensed as he crouched, or how his fingers spread when he pointed to something.
You wanted to eat him. You wanted him to eat you.
It was only the night of your twentieth birthday and after one of the female scientists told you about na’vi mating traditions that you hatched your plan.
Reassured by her statements that na’vi didn’t stick to monogamy nearly as much as the typical human did, you put on the gifted tweng and matching top you got from Kiri and Tuk as a gift, strapped your exo pack over your face, and marched into high camp with your head held high.
Jake barely knew you when he first really saw you walking the perimeter of one of the huge fires in the caves of high camp. He knew of you, from Norm and Max and their off handed comments about the spoiled princess in their mix, but he’d never seen her.
‘Spoiled’ had always been a joke- you were a kid, and you had needs that weren’t always easy for them to provide. But they did their best.
His kids had mentioned you too; Kiri was especially fond of you (“Sometimes she’s the only one who really wants to listen to my thoughts. It’s refreshing.” Kiri had snapped one night not too long ago at dinner), and Tuk thought you made a great playmate. Lo’ak had considerably less to say, mostly because you didn’t come out of the Oxygen-Pods nearly as much as Spider did, and therefore you didn’t explore with them. Neteyam had escorted you to fetch a plant for Max’s research once, and claimed you were polite.
That was the extent that he knew.
And damn, he didn’t know shit if this is what you looked like. All long legs and coy smiles and soft giggles.
It was over the instant that you introduced yourself.
You both knew it.
ִ ࣪𖦹
“Fuck, Jake please-“ you whined, wiggling and bucking your hips in an attempt to get away from his flicking tongue. His massive hands held you in place, making your body sink into the mattress of your bed within your room. The poor thing creaked with each push of his hands and movement of your lower half, and you thanked Eywa that you had requested a private living space when you had turned eighteen. You don’t think you could face anyone with apologies for the noise of your late night escapades with the olo’eyktan.
“Hush… ‘m not done.” Jake mumbled into your folds, and you had to fight the urge to kick his chest as another shot of electricity made your whole body twitch.
Two orgasms and this man still wasn’t done. He had practically ripped off your panties as soon as he was through the door, picking you up and (gently) throwing you down on the bed. How long ago was that? An hour? Two? It felt like you were melting at this point, and the slurps of Jake’s mouth on your dripping pussy made you shiver with embarrassment and overstimulation.
“Y’know what to say if you’re done, yeah?” Jake asked, pulling back just enough to make sure his words were audible. Daring to look down, you were met with the sight of strings of your cum and his saliva clinging to his jaw, his lips nearly shimmering and parted as he watched you. He brought a breathing mask to his face as he waited, rubbing soothing circles into your thigh with his unoccupied hand.
You dropped your head and with a frustrated whine, and he slapped his palm against your leg. With a yelp, you gave him an audible affirmative, restating your safe-word. Satisfied, Jake licked a broad stripe from your fluttering hole to your clit, sucking the throbbing bud into his mouth and rolling it on one of his canines. You cried out, the rush of popping sparks and burning pleasure returning.
“Just one more, sweet thing. One more and i’ll give you what you want.” he cooed, nipping your labia and tonguing your entrance.
“Need it now, Jake. Can’t take it anymore.” you nearly wheezed, huffing as you felt the coil in your gut tighten. Something was different from before, tingling just below the hot waves of pleasure rolling through your body.
Tonight, after months of eating you out and finger fucking you, Jake had finally decided to let you take his dick. Only one problem with that. Itsie bitsie, really. Nothing serious.
Just that you were a virgin. And taking a dick over twice the size of a human’s was gonna practically rip you open.
So that’s what got you here, approaching your third goddamn orgasm so maybe, just maybe, your slick would make it easier for him to slide in.
Fuck, you weren’t gonna walk for a week, dick or not.
A flood of ecstasy overwhelmed you, and you felt some kind of tingling between your legs before you were slammed back, white clouding your vision as you cried out.
When you came to and looked down once more, you watched as Jake lapped at the juices adorning your thighs and lower belly, wiping some kind of liquid from his face.
“Y’squirted, baby girl.” he hummed as he kneeled over you, picking you up and adjusting you so that your head rested against your pillows and he could rest his knees on the mattress, situating himself between your thighs.
“Prideful skxawng.” you whispered back, only to be muffled by his mouth on yours as his hands found the backs of your knees.
He pulled back, looked down at you with worried eyes as his gaze traveled between your bodies back up to your face. “You’re sure you want this? It’s not gonna be easy, or painless.”
You shifted up onto your elbows, brushing his blunted nose with your own. “Since when did you decide to be my daddy?” you asked, voice low.
Jake’s reaction was predictably dominating; he hissed low in his throat, pushing his forehead down against yours so that your head landed back on the pillow. He rutted his hips forward, and you whimpered when his dick brushed your oversensitive clit.
“This isn’t time for jokes kid. Talk to me.” he growled, and you sobered quickly as he moved the head of his cock to your entrance, applying pressure so you felt some semblance of the reality of what was about to happen.
Taking a deep breath, you lifted your hands to his face and pulled him down, trying not to think of just how much he had to crane his neck to lean closer. “Just… slow. If it doesn’t fit, then fine.” you tried, swallowing the lump in your throat as Jake nudged you again.
“Trust me, kid, it’ll fit. Stretched you to hell and back not too long ago.” he assured, pressing a kiss to your temple. “Just relax.”
“Oh, and let’s not call me ‘kid’ when you’re about to fuck me, yeah?” you snipped, tightening your thighs around his waist.
Jake chucked, muttered a soft “brat.” into your ear that got you to laugh. While you were distracted, he pushed his hips forward and slid the first inch of his dick in.
You squealed, and Jake had to keep his hold on your thighs tight and you tried to move away. Your hands flew to his shoulders, clawing into his skin deep enough to draw blood.
It should have hurt- he should have noticed the stings of pain.
But all he could register was tight, warm walls wrapped around his dick with a vice so harsh he swore they were gonna snap it clean off.
With breaks and whispered praise from him, he gradually suck inch by inch of his think cock into you tight little cunt, until finally, fucking finally, he bottomed out.
Tight. Tight around his tongue, tight around his fingers, but fuck. This was on another level.
You were so good- such a good girl taking all of that length, swallowing every inch he gave you with a few tears and quiet whimpers. He leaned closer, making sure not to rock into you too soon, and kissed at the tears tracking down your face, before finally pressing his mouth to yours, swallowing your soft cries every time you’d accidentally shift your hips or he his.
“Damn, pretty girl. Gonna cut off my blood circulation.” he grunted into your shoulder, and he was rewarded with a breathy laugh from you. Experimentally, he ran a hand down between your bodies, before having to mentally convince himself not to burst at what he found.
Leaning up, he looked down at the bulge in your tummy, running a hand over it before looking to your eyes. He found you looking down with awe, wide eyed and dropped jaw at the bump.
Jake placed his palm over it, and pressed down.
The moan you let out was sinful, so desperate and pleased that he nearly rammed into you just out of instinct. But he reminded himself to take it slow as he pulled out, feeling the warmth of your pretty pussy leave him, before pushing back in.
Eywa, Jake was huge.
Of course you knew he would be- you’re not delusional. But damnit, it was almost too much. Your legs quivered with each slow thrust of Jake’s hips, and you buried your face into his shoulder to quell some of your noises. It hurt. Hurt more than anything you’d experienced before. You were quite sure Jake would leave a permanent space for himself inside of you with how you were stretching.
Jake stroked his thumb against your skin where his hand still cupped the back of your thighs, pressing your knees up near your shoulders to get more leverage. The cot gave another soft squeak at the shift in weight, and for a moment you and Jake laughed, finding humor in the absurdity of fucking you into a rickety mattress in a room that Jake couldn’t fully stand up in.
The bulge in your tummy was only a physical manifestation of what you felt: fucking full. You could have cum just at the sight of it there, and by the foggy look in Jake’s eyes, so could he.
“Jake-“ you whispered, though it came out as more of a punched-out wheeze. “Move.”
His eyes flicked to yours for a moment, checking for any hesitation. When he found none, he shifted back on the bed, pulling away. You could feel the emptiness he left behind, and you opened your mouth to protest.
Before you could utter a word, Jake’s hands shifted from your thighs to your hips, and promptly rammed his cock back into you.
You screamed, the rush of pleasure and twinge of pain making you throw your head back as your hands flew to his shoulders, grounding yourself as he repeated the motion. You could feel him, deep inside of you, pressing against your cervix, his tip threatening to push past the barrier and straight into your womb.
That should have scared you, but it only made you rock your hips up to meet Jake’s with each thrust, reveling in the slick slide of his dick against your walls.
“Fucking hell, baby-“ he all but hissed, pinning your legs up again. “Taking this dick so well.”
You whined in response, trying and failing to assemble some kind of sentence to give him. Fucked out and cock drunk from just a few thrusts. How pathetic a sight you were. But no matter how humiliated you would feel later, right now you were confronted will all consuming pleasure and fullness.
Jake was confronted with the view of tears leaking from your eyes and drool dripping from the corner of your mouth, whining and moaning weakly as he continued to pound into you. He was sure he wasn’t much better, anyway. Jesus, he thought maybe you’d loosen, only to be met with a tight clench of your tight little cunt around his cock when he hit your g-spot.
Everything was on fire. Your body, your mind, your pussy. Fuck, you needed to cum. You needed to fucking cum.
“Daddy-“ you whined, finally meeting Jake’s eyes as he bent over you, letting his nose brush yours.
“I know, baby girl. Go ahead and cum around daddy’s cock. Make him proud.” he grunted out, feeling his own release pool deep in his stomach as he tucked his face into the space between your shoulder and jaw.
His permission was all it took for something inside to finally snap, and you could feel yourself gush around Jake’s dick as your whole body trembled, thighs shaking even as Jake held them. After a few beats the pleasure turned into overstimulation, and your moaning became sobs, whimpering into Jake’s shoulder for him to cum already-
Jake shuffled closer to press himself as far in as he could as he felt the coil in his stomach tighten one last time, and sunk his teeth into your shoulder, tasting salt and iron as his release filled your core.
You barely even protested, your body jumping slightly under his at the pain, but otherwise you were limp in his arms. Jake pulled back to look at you, letting one of your legs go and bringing his hand to your cheek. “Hey…” he murmured softly, running his tongue over the dribble of blood from the bite mark marring your skin, waiting for you to come down.
“Hey…” you responded after a second, pushing weekly at his shoulder in an attempt to get him to stop prodding at the wound. Jake chuckled and shifted.
“Pulling out.” he warned you, before pulling himself out of you with a wet squelch. If you weren’t thoroughly fuck out, you would have blushed. But right now, all you wanted to do was curl up and sleep.
Jake chuckled once more, curling next to you and cradling your body against his chest as you began to drift off. “Are you alright?” he asked, his tail curling around your thigh as his hand ran over your back.
“Mhm.” you managed, pressing a kiss to his pectoral as he hitched one of your legs around his waist. “Just gonna be sore in the morning.”
He hummed in agreement, glancing at the bruises on your hips and waist from his hands. Jake knew he should have felt bad for it, and yet his chest hummed with pride at the sight of the physical evidence of him on your body.
Mine.
He pressed a kiss to your head as your breathing evened out, feeling his own eyes grow heavy.
“We’ll worry ‘bout it in the morning, baby. Just rest.” he whispered.
And with an ache between your legs and dripping warmth in your core, you did just that, already drifting away into sleep as his body calmed against yours.

helloo! just wanna say that your writing is so good! could i request neteyam(or the sully kids), lo'ak and tsu'tey with fem! reader who's on her period? how would they deal with the bleeding and react? thank you ૮ ˶´ ᵕˋ ˶ა
sully kids, tsu'tey x human! reader
ft— neteyam, lo’ak, kiri, tuk, tsu'tey warnings— mentions of blood, inappropriate language(sperm, etc.), might be ooc? can be seen as platonic/romantic for neteyam/lo'ak. tsu'tey and reader are dating/the female na’vi’s do not menstruate, fluff!! not proof read but i will later, hopefully. a/n— tysm anon! i've been thinking about the boys with reader who's on her period and then this request comes in, thank you!! also spider isn’t in here because.. no. i’m sorry to everybody who wanted him in here. anything with tsu’tey in it is in avatar 2, he’s still alive. unless you request or i write it during avatar 1. synopsis— when your period arrives, they are curious and scared about why you're bleeding from that area, you explain to them about the female anatomy.
Tumblr media
"Wait... so you bleed from there every month?" they asked, you nod.
they stare at you in disbelief, mouth wide open and eyes bugged, you chuckle from their reaction, “so what do you have to do to stop the bleeding?”
you pull out a thick cloth from your satchel and fold it until it’s the right size. “this.” you say while holding it up
they exchange glances at the piece of cloth and you, when they don’t say anything and just continue to stare at the cloth and then at you, you sigh before speaking.
“i put it under where the blood comes from, and then i wash the cloth and reuse. if i can’t then i just get another cloth and then do the same thing, understand now?”
they squint their eyes, unsure of what to make of this, determined to make them understand you decide to teach them the (human) female anatomy.
Tumblr media
sully kids x human! reader
Kiri, tuk and lo’ak were talking to each other, wondering what you were going to be teaching them, neteyam on the other hand, watched you as you walk around to find a stick to use, his eyebrows raises when he sees you running toward where the group was, a stick in your hand. Once you reach them you sit down beside kiri, using the stick, you start to draw a human body on the sand, a very poorly drawn human body, well at least what resembles a body anyway. Everybody leaned in closer to look at your drawing, “hm.. okay! so this is the part where the blood comes from,” you say, pointing to the lower part of the body in between the legs, “okay?”, they nod, kiri and neteyam look at you which prompts you to go on. ”So this area...”, pointing at the uterus, “is the uterus, correct?” you ask, when they nod you start to draw lines coming out of the uterus and out of the part(v). “This is the period.” you say, pointing at the lines. “So every month a female starts her period which should only last for a week, the uterus lining, which is like tissue from our uterus, shreds because the egg hasn’t been fertilized.” Upon hearing the last sentence everybody raised their eyebrows. ”What egg? do you have a egg in you?!” tuk questions, worry filled her voice, she almost faints. You found it hilarious that she thought that, then neteyam and lo’ak also asked if you had an egg in you and if you were okay, you could see the worry on their faces, shaking your head you giggled, lo’ak stared at you in disbelief, why were you laughing at this serious matter? ”No no, not a literal egg. it’s like a small little thing in our ovary, it’s one of the main things that you need to get pregnant. Once the.. sperm reaches the egg,  the egg gets fertilized and you know, you get pregnant!”, once you were done talking you noticed how they all look dazed, their smiles faltering, like they didn’t understand, but you could understand. I mean, you were quite literally saying words that they didn’t understand. Sooner or later after you stopped talking, they started to ask you questions, what is “sperm”? why is the female body so “complicated”? and such. Kiri and tuk would grimace, scrunching their face, even sticking out their tongue in disgust whenever you answered their or the others questions. Lo’ak and neteyam were both slightly disgusted but interested. You then go on to explain how some girls experience cramps and mood swings when on their period. Neteyam expressions seem to soften after hearing the problems that you, girls, have to go through, while lo’ak expressions seem to harden, why did you, girls, have to go through that? Tuk shivers when she hears you talk more about periods. They all were interested in periods, all paying extreme attention to what you had to say. Kiri laid her hand on your thigh, giving you a sorrowful look. “I’m so sorry you have to deal with all of that... i’m so glad that we don’t have to go through that.” Tuk nodded, agreeing with kiri’s statement. You placed your hand over kiri’s, giving her a gentle smile you spoke, “it’s fine kiri, honestly, i’ve had it for a long time now, i’m used to it.” You pulled your hand back, kiri doing the same. After a few seconds lo’ak’s eye widens, he was crouching down, but after something had popped into his mind he moved closer to you, still crouching. “How can we help you?”, his voice was serious yet it also sounded like he was worried. ”Hm, well there’s nothing you can do really, but i guess for period cramps something warm? having an extra cloth on you and listening to someone rambling and comforting them when they’re having mood swings.” you answer, putting on your thinking face. While you’re still thinking for more things, you dont realize that all the sully children are taking in what you’re saying and remembering, so next time you have cramps or is leaking they have everything prepared. Every example you give they’re taking notes mentally, Lo’ak asks you more questions so that he can be FULLY prepared when you’re on your period, especially when you’re early. Neteyam, kiri and tuk are nodding at everything you say, remembering what you’re talking about. Once you’re done explaining you notice that they are all eager to go off somewhere. They all looked like they wanted to be somewhere, right now. When you all say your goodbye’s neteyam is off to his marui, grabbing some spare cloths. Lo’ak is off to grab everything to make the “heat pad”, cloths and something soft and some sewing materials. Kiri and tuk both run off to ronal, the tsahìk to ask for some pain killers. ”Pain killers? and for what?” ronal spoke, raising her eyebrows, eyeing the two young girls. Kiri and tuk exchange looks and giggle before answering ronal, “nothing!” Ronal contemplates whether or not to give the pain killers to kiri and tuk but in the end she gives in. They would all fight for your thanks' and fight to help you really, an example, you’re sitting on a rock, your legs swaying in the water, the sully children are playing in the water, chasing each other in the water when you feel a sudden pain in your abdomen. It was your cramps, again. Sighing you reach into your satchel, putting your hands in the pocket you feel for your pain killers but after trying to grab nothing you looked into your bag, a look of devastation feel on your face. Neteyam heard your groans and whimpering, just a few feet away from where he and his siblings were. His head popped up from the water, gasping for air once he got up, he turned around to see where you were, once you were in his sight his face dropped, you were tightly hugging your waist, your eyes were closed shut, you mouth agape, groaning. Wasting no time he quickly swims to where you sat and hopped on the rock, looking up you see neteyam standing next to you, his eyes said everything. ”Are you okay? do you need anything? period cramps?” with his question you nod eagerly. Neteyam hurriedly rummaged through his satchel when he saw shadows in the water approaching you two, neteyam closed his satchel, he fiercely stood right next to you, fists balled just in case ao’nung and his gang were going to cause trouble to you and him. Once neteyam seems the familiar faces rising up and popping up and gasping for air he eased, “What’s wrong neteyam? you just left us- oh, y/n? are you okay?!” kiri rushed to you, climbing on the rock and sitting beside you, placing her hands on your shoulder, looking at tuk she nodded and tuk swam closer to you and sat on the rock with you, but before tuk could open her satchel neteyam interrupted her, “what are you doing?” Tuk paused, looking up at her older brother her lips curved into a smile, “just giving y/n some pain killers, why?”, tuk saw how neteyam glared at her, playfully if you can even call it that. “Was going to give her some too..” he mumbled, gripping your stomach you looked at neteyam and gave him a faint smile, giving tuk one as well. Lo’ak and kiri then hopped on the rock and started to question if you were okay, when you told them that your stomach hurt they both opened their satchels, they were about to grab the pain killers when they stopped. Everybody looked at each other with confusion, kiri and lo’ak smiled in mischief, both grabbing the pain killers and offering it to you. Neteyam stood beside you, watching his brother and sister offer their pain killers to you, he wanted to give you the pain killers that he had, to you, but he didn’t want to cause a scene so he let his siblings to their thing. Tuk frowned but after you gestured her to come sit closer to you her smile appeared, although she was wet, she was warm, and that made your stomach pain fade away slowly. While that was happening kiri and lo’ak were both arguing, saying that you should take her pain killers because she’s a girl, lo’ak gives her a look of confusion and disbelief. Lo’ak then went on that you should take his because he got it recently while kiri’s was probably a century old, which was of course, false. Neteyam sat down beside you and put his arm around you and tuk, pulling you closer to his body, and again, he was wet but still warm, so with the warmth of two people, warmth on your shoulder and warmth on your stomach you sighed in relief, stopping the bickering between kiri and lo’ak. They saw you with a smile on your face, eyes closed, tuk laying on your thighs, hugging your stomach while neteyam held you close, his arms around your shoulders with a smug look on his face when he sees the look of devastation on his sibling face. ”Good luck next time” neteyam states, pulling you even more close to him even though you two were practically in each others bubble. Kiri looked defeated, lo’ak frowned before sighing, “I’ll need it..” and with that he sat beside tuk, kiri following him and sitting beside lo’ak. Neteyam, lo’ak and kiri looked beyond the horizon, Neteyam hugging you closely while tuk slept on your lap. “We should get home, dad won’t like it if we’re out any later.” kiri suggests, lo’ak and neteyam simultaneously look at her, “no, y/n and tuk is resting, later.” Kiri rolls her eyes and huffs, standing up and jumping into the water to see the fishes, again.

tsu’tey x human! reader “What do you mean you bleed from there? are you hurt? should i call the tsahìk?” tsu’tey asks, worry filled his voice, “what? no! im fine, it’s normal.” you answer, holding back your laughter, he sounded way too serious for something that was normal, well, for humans anyway. Tsu’tey raises his eyebrow at you, giving you a small nod even though he wasn’t completely sure if you were okay but he trusted you, also since you were a human so your anatomy is different to his kind. You and tsu’tey stop talking for a bit before he breaks the silence with a question, “how do you deal with all of that? the.. ‘period’?” he asks, inching closer to where you sat. The first thing you thought of was the cloth, which was the replacement of a pad, humming you open your satchel and pull out a cloth, you then fold it until it’s the right size and hand it to tsu’tey, he was watching you with confusion written all over his face when he saw you grab your cloth. Tsu’tey takes the cloth from your hands and observes it, it looks normal, nothing is different other than the fact that you folded it. He looked at you, cloth in hand and doesn’t say anything, meaning that he’s confused. “Uh- so basically we just put it under our part.. so stop the bleeding from going everywhere.” you blurt out, with your answer tsu’tey nods, understanding you but not fully. You know that he doesn’t know much about the female body so you decide to teach him, reaching into your satchel you pull out your notebook and a pencil, you set the notebook down and move (even) closer to tsu’tey, you start to draw a human body, or what resembles a human body. “Okay, so this is our part, it’s called a “vagina”, that’s the proper way to say it, another way to say it is “pussy” but that also means cat.” you say, then you tell him to repeat what you said and he does so. You then point to where the uterus is, “this is our uterus, where the baby grows, the reason why we bleed is because our “egg” isn’t fertilized, so our uterus lining shreds, so we bleed because we don’t get pregnant and it’s like “oh! no sperm? might as well shred”.” Once you finish talking you look at tsu’tey looks overwhelmed with the information you’ve given him, to you it’s not a lot, but to him it’s a lot. Once tsu’tey calms down a bit, his brows furrowed before asking you a “serious” question, “do you have an egg in you?” he asks in a grave tone. He sounded too serious that you burst out laughing, while you’re laughing hysetrically he’s giving you a confused look before pouting, why were you laughing at his question? Tsu’tey puts his hand on your shoulder and tells you to calm down, in an attempt to calm you down, and you do. Once your laughter dies down you had to wipe your tears away, “now answer my question, do you have an egg in you? why?” and again, he says it in a serious tone that it almost makes you laugh again. Using all your will power you stop yourself from laughing and answer his question, you shook your head and once you do his shoulders rest as if he has been carrying something heavy on his shoulder. “They’re small things in our ovaries, we call them eggs. Without it we wouldn’t have any children.” Once you finish your comment tsu’tey gives you a nod and pulls his hand back. After explaining some things, like how some girls experience cramps which is when the stomach hurts, mood swings, when their mood changes very quickly, tsu’tey then asks if there was any way to reduce the pain or help the women, you give him a tender smile and answer his questions. While answering his questions, he’s mentally taking notes since he knows that you’re on your period and is taking notes so the next time you’re late or early he’s prepared, oh you don’t have any spare cloths? fret not! inside my satchel i have some cloths just for you! your stomach hurts? here my love, a handmade heat pad (it’s a cloth that’s sewed with something soft inside of it and was left out in the sun for hours) just for you. You also explain how some girls leak, meaning that their “pad” or cloth, couldn’t hold the bleeding (most times it’s heavy bleeding) and leaked, or the size wasn’t right or the absorbancy was poor. Everything you say, tsu’tey is taking notes, and when you tell him how some men get mad at their girlfriends for leaking he gets mad, like how could you get mad for someone who can’t even control something? Tsu’tey scoffs, he assures you that if you ever leaked he’d never get mad at you and would help you clean up, get you a new cloth and underwear if you feel too disgusted to walk, or if you can you can go get it. Once you hear him say that you give him a hug and you made sure to hug him tightly, kissing his cheek, “best boyfrien- no, mate, ever!!” you squeal. Smiling, he hugs you back while running his fingers through your hair, When you pull back your hands are still around his neck, his eyes are staring deep into yours, his yellow eyes with a hue of green never failed to make you awe, “i can say the same to you my love.” he states before pulling you into a kiss. To say the least, he definitely praises and respects women even more now, since you women carry babies and deal with all this nonsense.

I decided to resubmit my request:
Tonowari x Fem Reader x Ronal (poly mates)/ Aonung x Tsireya x Rotxo x Fem Reader (platonic/parental relationship):
Back story on the Reader she has a scar on one of her eyes and is blind in that same eye, is mated to Tonowari and Ronal. Came up with this idea while listening to Beauty and the Beast by Kurt Hugo Schneider and Chase Holfelder.
Anyways, this will mostly focus on the Reader’s relationship with the children. Basically one day when the children go over to get the Sully’s they notice that Tsireya is not with them and they wonder why. So they do their training as normal and it’s the end of the day and Tsireya never showed up. And this paderen goes on for a while before one day none of the children show in tge morning and then the Sully children get really curious and try to find them only to see the they are fighting an adult (from an outsiders perspective). And they tell Kiri and Tuk to go find their parents while they go try to help. When the boys try to intervene they get beat and when the parents finally show up Jake is the first one to jump in and help the children. You choose how it ends. Thank you.
Tonowari x reader x ronal

Playing the role of warrior and mother had been something you had to learn to balance many years ago, as you had to balance your responsibilities to the clan and your people along with your responsibilities as a mother. It was not easy at the start but over time it become easy for you but there will be some struggles as well. There were times when playing the role of warrior and mother will be in sync, and there was no denying those roles. Even when it had involve your kids playing the role of warrior and mother was no denying the call
Tisreya “ mama” you are training with a wooden staff when you had heard Tsireya voice, you soon stopped what you were doing and looked at her.
Y/n “ hello my sweet girl”
tisreya “ mama I came to ask you for some help”
Y/n “ what the matter my love you can tell me”:
Tsireya “ if I tell you please don’t tell baba and mom please”
Y/n “ sure my love so tell me what the matter I’m here to listen and help” you had placed some comforting hands on tisreya shoulder, as she soon looked up to you.
Tsireya “ mama can you train me to defend myself, I want to be like you keeping the people safe with healing and defending them as well”
Y/n “ sure my love I can do that for you” tsireya smiled towards you and after that day, you had spent time teaching tsireya some ways to defend herself. Until you had to leave for a bit to visit some other clans, and during your time away new arrivals had come.
Months later
Neteyam “ hey guys we are ready for today lessons”
Loak “ hey where is Reya”the sully kids are gathered with Ao’nung and Rotox, but they are missing tisreya.
Rotox “ oh she busy at the moment with some other matter”
Kiri “ what is that if you don’t me asking”
Ao’nung “ her own lesson that are private don’t worry she will be around”
Loak “ aww I was hoping to see her today”
Tuk “ yes I wanted to see her as well”
lo'ak " yeah tell us more about what she doing as she always here, leading the lessons"
rotxo " she busy with some private lessons like we said they are very important to her"
lo'ak " so what is she doing can we do it as well"
kiri " yeah it sounds very interesting and we have been perfecting everything else"
Neteyam “ come on you three we can see her later lets get on with our lessons"
lo'ak " fine we will go on with the lessons"
kiri " we will wait to see tisreya later on"
tuk " can we collect sea shells with her after she gets back"
aonung " sure tuk we can" the rest of the day had gone well with the lessons, there had been some questions and wonder about where tsireya had gone off to for the day. The sully kids had thought she was with ronal but when they pass by the healer hut she was not there, and then there was tonowari and she was not with them.
Later on that day
lo'ak " she has to be somewhere around here" the sully kids are looking for tsireya as she hadn't show up yet, and they are together as aonung and rotxo had been called awya by their father.
neteyam " I wonder where she could be"
kiri " we haven't been able to find her anywhere else yet and she not with ronal or tonowari"
tuk " I really wanted to see her today and show her I got better at swimming"
neteyam " you can show her when we find her"
lo'ak " wait I know where we can find her tisreya had showed me this beach she might be there" the group had nodded their head and followed lo'ak towards this beach when they heard the sound, of wood smack against each other and the sound of sand moving.
lo'ak " huh" the sully kids were hidden behind and massive rock as they peaked out to see tsireay was holding a staff in her hands, while she was fighting off someone that was unknown to the sully kids. eya.
lo'ak " we have to help her reya in danger that stranger is trying to attack her, what if that rda avatar"
neteyam " tuk kiri go get dad and tell tonowari what happing"
kiri " yes sure come on tuk quickly" the two girls had taken off as the boys had gotten out their blades ready to help tsireya again this outsider who might be with the rda. The two boys had gotten into position to run at the stranger and attack soon let out warrior calls.
With mother and daughter
y/n " you are getting good my daughter moving quickly in the sand, while carrying a staff defending yourself ... you are very good leaner"
tsireya " thanks mama"
y/n " in no time you will be able to knock down one any warrior teen or young adults, it will take time for you to take down an adult"
tisreya " yes mama" your soon stopped what you were doing as you heard something lifting up your hand, stopping the lessons as you look at your daughter.
tsireay " mama"
y/n " I feel something about to happen" you soon heard a call that gotten you attention you back had been turned, but you soon swag you staff knocking down who ever was coming near you.
tsireay " lo'ak neteyam" the two boys are now in the sand some of their body covered in sand and hair a bit a mess as well.
y/n " hello boys how may I help you both today"
lo'ak " leave tsireay alone you outsider"
y/n " so you are lo'ak and neteyam daughter you are right about them"
neteyam " daughter"
tsireya " this is my mama a good warrior as you can see"
y/n " I have to give you boys some praise you did a good attack and were fighting to defend my daughter along with saving her... that is good and makes you both warriors in spirt but you will need more time of learning" both boys look up at you as you were talking with them.
neteyam " that was amazing ma'am how did you heard us coming"
y/n " your footsteps and your call if you are going to sneak up, on someone you need to me much quieter then you both were right now"
lo'ak " thank you ... we never got your name"
y/n " I'm y/n and you boys are lucky I go easy on the youth of the clan then adults"
tsireya " she not lying" the boys had forgotten for that time that they sent their sisters to go get help, It was to late to say anything as you soon heard something else getting your attention. You had soon swag you staff hitting someone in the face, and another one in the chest. You had soon dropped the star as you had tossed one of them over you shoulder into the water, as another one came and you soon grabbed them and kicked them into the water. once that was over you soon kicked your staff into the air and caught it, soon pointing it towards the two adult males.
y/n " now see this what I do with adults that try to attack me from behind" you are looking at Jake sully and tsu'tey was they are in the water looking at you.
lo'ak " dad"
neteyam " uncle tsu'tey"
y/n " oh so family" soon some other warriors had come along with tonowari.
tonowari " y/n jake tsutery"
y/n " tonowair good we all each other name good for us all"
Jake " I was told by my daughetrs that this women here was attacking your daughter and that my sons came to help her" tonowari and the metkayian warriors had fallen out laughing.
tsu'tey " what going on" Jake and Tsu'tey had gotten out of the water and soon looked at group, they were feeling a bit embarrassed as well.
tonowari " she my second mate and tsireya mom she will never hurt trsireya"
y/n " yes I was out here with my daughter and I'm no outsider to the clan"
tonowari " what were you two doing out here anyways"
tisreya " well mama has been training me baba in defending myself"
tonowari " yawne"
y/n " she asked and I said yes you and ronal are not the only ones that can help out kids learn, and she doing well"
tonowari " we are going to talk about this later" you had nodded your head and looked at Tsireya smiling, knowing that there will be some fuss but either one of you will be in trouble. After the whole scene was calmed down the group had went back to the village, there were some questions asked towards you and you answered them. It seems like you had won over the sully family and their clan, tonowari and ronal were a bit upset about the whole lesson but soon came to terms with it seeing the tsireya loved it and was learning as well.

Hi! So ive seen that you take requests so i thought i give a try.
Could you do an imagine where the reader is the auntie of the kids? She treats them very good and is very gentle with them. She wants to make the kids feel that they can tell her everything.
So when one day neteyam comes to tell her that jake was too hard on him again, she tries to comfort him. She tells him that he is not a disappointment and he shouldn’t always take the blame on himself etc.
I hope you get what i was trying to say. I hope you have a great day! :D

[Name] had always been close with the Sully kids. From the moment Neytiri found out she was pregnant, [Name] had been an important part of the family.
It started with helping Neytiri function in the last few days of her pregnancy, grabbing objects off the ground, bringing her food to her while Jake was on a hunt, and helping her walk when she struggled. Neytiri was more than happy to have her sister help her and her new family.
But as the years flew by, [Name] became a friend to the Sully children. A open ear, a shoulder to cry on, a person to come to when you have no one else.
So when Neteyam entered [Name]’s hut, tears in his eyes threatening to spill, [Name] was happy to help.
Walking over to Neteyam, [Name]’s eyes quickly scanned his face for any signs of wounds or injuries. It wasn’t unusual for Neteyam or Lo’ak to walk into her hut with cuts or gashes from stupid things that would get them in trouble with their parents. She would sigh and clean them up, try to make them laugh before pushing them out, telling them to go do something useful, smiling while she'd rolled her eyes.
But as she looked over Neteyam for any sign of anything, she came up dry. The only give away was his eyes. Neteyam’s eyes, usually full of joy or annoyance as he interacted with his siblings, held a familiar emotion [Name] knew all too well.
Neteyam had a bad habit of taking the blame for his siblings mistakes, mainly Lo’ak’s as he made many. While [Name] didn’t blame him for this, seeing as he often felt his role as the oldest was to protect his siblings, she did feel bad every time she saw that look.
Smiling to Netayam sadly, [Name] asked:
“Is it your parents?”
To which Neteyam only nodded gently, still trying to hold back his tears.
“Did Lo’ak did something stupid?” [Name] asked again, voice getting increasingly more gentle as as the story in her head started to solidify.
Neteyam nodded again, his lip twitching downward for a split second.
“And did you take the blame for it,” [Name] watched as Neteyam looked at the ground in front of him.
“Again?” [Name] questioned softly, already knowing the answer.
A single tear fell from Neteyam’s eye as he nodded once again.
“Oh Neteyam, I am so sorry.” [Name] walked over to him, enveloping him in a hug.
Neteyam held stiff for a moment before completely falling apart in his aunt’s arms. Quiet sobs filled [Name]’s ears as he let all of the moments he took his parent’s wrath for Lo’ak. He could usually handle it, as he would claim, but the truth is it really got to him.
Neteyam has always had a great love for his family, from the moment he was born he was brought in to the world that only seemed to shower him in love. The same love he hoped to give his sisters and brother when they were born. But since Lo’ak came of age to get in trouble he couldn’t get away with, trying to shower his trouble-making brother in his love became nearly impossible. Neteyam loved his brother, he really did but [Name] understood that that does not stop Lo’ak from being an idiot. She can say that from personal experience.
As Neteyam’s sobs slowly subsided, [Name] released him from her gentle hold.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” [Name] saw Neteyam wipe his eyes quickly, taking a deep breath before he nodded.
“What has happened, my child?” [Name] asked, leading him to a soft place on the ground, where they sat down.
“It’s my dad,” Neteyam looks at the floor.
“I’m not even sure if I am upset at Lo’ak, even though he is an skxawng. Most of the time he means well, even if his actions don’t show it…” Neteyam trails off for a moment before [Name] sees his fist tighten into a ball.
[Name] rests a caring hand on his shoulder, nodding to prompt him to continue.
“But my dad… He just doesn’t understand! He doesn’t understand that Lo’ak is just young and stupid and that we are not soldiers! We are his sons! “Neteyam threw his hands in the air as he huffed in frustration. “And sometimes I wish that he wouldn’t yell at me or Lo’ak so much for just being his sons.” Neteyam finished with a sad, soft whisper.
“Neteyam.” [Name] spoke carefully, hoping to get Neteyam to look at her.
Neteyam turned his attention from his hands in front of him to his aunt. It was only after he looked up that [Name] could see the tears still streaming down his face.
“Neteyam, you are a wonderful kid and an even more amazing sibling. I know that it’s hard to take the blame for everything, and I know it’s hard having your dad not understand. But you are never alone. You know that?”
Neteyam only nodded softly.
“You can alway come to me, and even though you think he is an idiot,” Neteyam giggled at [Name]’s choice of words. “I am sure Lo’ak would be there for you too. Neteyam, even though it sometimes doesn’t seem like it, your father loves you very much. He loved you so much he wanted to have more of you!”
Neteyam laughed again, starting to finally feel better.
“Personally, I think he might treat you like soldiers because he wants to protect you. And if he can’t do that himself, I think he hopes that you will follow what he says so that you won’t get hurt. Although I get that that is frustrating, he just wants you to be safe. After all, this family is all he has.” [Name] finished, giving Neteyam an understanding smile.
Neteyam looked away for a moment, thinking about what his aunt said. When he determined that it made sense, he turned to his aunt before pulling her in for a quick hug.
“Thank you for making me feel better, Aunt [Name].” Neteyam said gratefully, smiling wide seeming feeling much better.
“Any time, Neteyam. Now go play with your siblings or ride on your Ikran!” [Name] smiled, watching as Neteyam waved as he was running away.
Although conversations like those were hard, [Name] would never turn down a chance to help her nieces and nephews. Those children felt like her own at times, and she wouldn’t trade them for anything. So as she watched Neteyam get on his Ikran and fly away, she promised herself she would always be there for the Sully family.

words: 4.0k (this is... double the length of what i had planned oop)
a/n: the way of water spoilers i stg if you haven't watched the movie you don't get to bitch about spoilers if you read this fic listen. listen i love neteyam so much. and as much as i would like to write a canon variance fic, i also have fun writing angst. my forte is more hurt/comfort and "angsty but there will be fluff and a happy ending" because i'm a softie and a romantic but sad angst is still fun to write
warnings/tags: hurt/no comfort, implied doing the dirty, mating (sfw), death, grieving/mourning, depression symptoms, implied suicidal ideation, reader and neteyam are about 18/19 because that's how old i thought he was when i watched the movie, mostly canon compliant (whoops), SPOILERS, no proofreading we die like neteyam men
pronouns: she/her
na'vi translations:
oeyä - my (possessive) narlor - beautiful (visually) muntxa si - mate / marry yawne - beloved

From a young age, it was clear that you would spend the rest of your life by Neteyam’s side. He was your best friend, the first person to treat him as just another kid and not the first born son of the olo’eyktan.
As you grew together, the way you felt about each other seemed to grow in sync, from entirely platonic best friends, to teenagers who would sneak out of chores to kiss in the forest. One day, while leaning against his chest and feeling his fingers play with the beaded ends of your braids, he pressed a kiss to the crown of your head, whispering into your skin.
“Once we have finished the rites, I want to be yours,” your breath hitched at his words, “forever.” You blinked, twisting to look up at him with wide eyes. “If you’ll have me.” You rolled your eyes, leaning up to kiss his jaw.
“Of course I’ll have you.” Neteyam broke into a wide  smile, as if for a moment he expected you would say anything else. “In this life and the next.” If you were told as a child, that at sixteen, just days before he made his first kill, that you and Neteyam would be promising to be each other’s mates, you would have laughed them off.
Now, you were beaming at him while sat on his lap, pressing kisses to his mouth and cheeks, eliciting laughter from him as he fell back, arms wrapped around your waist.
Your parents and his had all apparently known of his plans to propose to you that evening, as they were all waiting for you in the Sully family hut as you arrived, excited that your families would become one. As Kiri swatted Lo’ak for throwing his hands in the air with a loud exclamation of ‘finally’, Mo’at guided you away from the crowd.
“Once you begin your rites, I shall teach you to use and amplify your connection to Eywa.” Her eyes were soft as she rested her hands on your shoulders. “I believe you shall become a strong Tsahik.” You thanked her with a bow, grateful that she would so willingly teach you and flattered at her compliment.
Time seemed to move both too fast and not fast enough over the next year and a half as you both completed your rites and became adults of the clan. Like his father, Neteyam became one of the greatest Omaticaya warriors, proudly taking his place at the olo’eyktan’s side. But however strong and fearless he became, his eyes always softened as he looked at you, an impatience within him to finally have you as his official mate, to be able to say he is yours entirely.
Like Mo’at told, your connection to Eywa grew, able to understand her guidance with ease. Quickly, you learned that your favourite part of being the future Tsahik was healing. Being able to help those in your clan that were injured or unwell was always rewarding. And despite her being your personal guide and teacher, you were extremely honoured every time Mo’at invited you to assist in ceremonies with Eywa in front of the clan.
Neteyam’s ceremony was performed around a month after your own, and still, he waited a week to ask you again to be his mate.
With his fingers easily weaved between your own, he guided you toward the bioluminescent clearing where he had first proposed. (And where, two short years before that, you had shared your first kiss). Neteyam held both of your hands, close enough that you could count the freckles scattered across his face; not that you hadn’t done so many times before.
“I know I have already asked you this,” his voice was soft and nervous as he spoke, “but I want to ask again.” As he drew in a slow, shuddered breath, you leaned up and pressed a kiss beside his mouth. “Will you be my mate? Would you honour me with allowing me to be yours forever?” Your eyes watered, crying despite knowing what he was going to ask, and you nodded with a smile. But still he waited, wanting to hear you say it.
“Neteyam, yes. I would love to be your mate.” He let out a sigh of relief, quick to drop your hands to grab your face and kiss you. You smiled against each other’s mouths, hands on each other and pulling each other as close as you physically could.
His hands slide down your body and grasp the underside of your thighs, lifting you so your legs could wrap around his waist. With his mouth never leaving yours, Neteyam carefully sat down and rested you on his lap, the ground lighting up under him.
“You are so breathtaking.” He whispered against your lips and you pulled away with a flustered laugh, forehead rested against his. Neteyam was never shy about complimenting you, but somehow his words never failed to cause your heart to skip and the tips of your ears to warm.
“Oel ngati kamele, Ma Neteyam.” You ran your fingers over his bicep causing goosebumps to raise as you spoke with a sigh.
Wordlessly, you reached up behind you to grab your braid that safely held your queue, pulling it over your shoulder and dragging your fingers down to the end. The soft tendrils of your queue reached for him, yearning for him just as your heart did. Neteyam mirrored your movement, bringing his queue around, and held it just in front of your own. Your eyes flicked up from your queues to meet his eyes.
Although you had loved each other since you were children, you were both still nervous that the other would change their mind.
“I am yours.” You asserted. Neteyam dropped his head forward to press your foreheads together again.
“Yours. I have always been yours.”
As your queues entangled, you sucked in a short breath, body relaxing as you watched his pupils dilate. Your heart began to race as your breaths began to match his, eyes falling closed. After years of promises and soft kisses in the dark, your souls were entwined and could never be separated.
---
You squeezed Neteyam’s hand as Tarsem’s hand dropped against Jake’s chest in a fist, cementing the change in leader and the end of Jake’s reign as olo’eyktan. The Suli Tseyeyk’itan family were leaving the clan as sky people threatened to hunt them. Revenge on Jake for something that happened nearly two decades ago. Neteyam had offered to let you stay with the clan while he left with his family. But you refused, reminding him that you were his mate, by his side forever. And if his family was in danger, you were included in that.
Neteyam pulled you up behind him onto his ikran and you easily wrapped your arms around his waist, head resting on the back of his shoulders. It was a position that you had been in before, taken on many flights by your mate from the day that he bonded with his flying beast.
But the pit in your stomach still reminded you of how different this would be. You were leaving your clan and the only family and life you had ever known. You knew that you would follow Neteyam to the ends of Pandora, but the change was still scary. You had no way of knowing what was to come with leaving your home, you had no idea what your new one would look like. Neteyam reached down and rested his hand on your thigh, giving it a squeeze as his ikran took off.
No two na’vi described the effects of mating the same, Eywa giving each couple a different way of connecting and understanding each other. For you and Neteyam, it seemed that it had given you both the ability to understand the deep emotions of each other. You could tell when he was stressed about the pressures of his future title and he could tell when your anxiety sunk deep into your bones. It was as if you could feel him in the depths of your being, an overlay on the edge of your soul.
So he knew, as you pressed your chest against him and felt the rush of the wind whistling past his ears, that you were afraid of what was to come. But with his hand pressed safely against your thigh, the warmth spreading from where the skin met, it reassured you that whatever happened he would be by your side and making things a little less scary.
---
Neteyam always asserted that you were the most beautiful being he had ever seen. Even as a child, there was something about you that made him smile and desperate to hear your laugh. You had swum together many times in the various ponds around the Home Tree and Ayram alusing, but watching you rise out of the ocean, flicking water out of your braids with a shake and laughing with Tsireya, he could swear that he fell in love with you all over again.
“Bro,” Lo’ak smacked his chest, bringing his attention back to their ilu training, “she’s already your mate, you can stop the lovesick staring.” Neteyam hit him back, looking back over at you to see your attention already on him. You sent him a soft wave, which he happily returned with a smile.
---
Despite Jake’s best attempt at keeping his family safe and keeping the war away, the need for vengeance from a man who was supposed to be long dead was too strong. All too quickly the sky people in their boat with their machines that killed tulkun with ease arrived.
You held onto the ilu tightly as you all raced to catch up with Lo’ak, the ocean spray whipping at you. You knew it was dangerous, leaving Awa’atlu, it was stupid and reckless but Lo’ak was determined to warn the tulkun he had bonded with.
You watched in awe as the giant creature rose from the ocean, eagerly greeting Lo’ak, who began to panic once noticing a red spear-like tracker in the beast’s shoulder. You wasted little time, standing up on the ilu and diving into the water, swimming over to help the boy pull the tracker out. Neteyam was close behind you, and he helped pull up the Metkayina teens who had come with you.
You heard Lo’ak radio their father while Kiri and Tuk climbed onto the tulkun and finally, as the sky people boat rounded the rocky bluff, the six of you pulled the tracker out.
“Go that way, I’ll draw them off.” Neteyam ordered, holding the tracker. As you opened your mouth to rebut, he cut you off. “Go with Tsireya. I’ll be okay.” You huffed at him, but obliged, swimming beside the girl and grabbing hold of her ilu’s saddle.
---
You held onto the ilu as Lo’ak raced towards the rocky island with Neteyam leaning against him. You couldn’t take your eyes off of him, the way he wheezed with each breath. There was no way to explain it, but you could feel a heat blooming in your chest. You hadn’t seen him get shot, having been with Tsireya after she escaped the large ship, but you immediately knew, your mated connection through Eywa causing a phantom pain.
You could only watch as Spider and Tsireya guided Neteyam up to Jake, who helped them pull him onto the rocks. Jake rolled him onto his side to check for wounds before he laid him back. For a moment, he looked between you and Lo’ak who kneeled beside Neteyal, but quickly chose to take Lo’ak’s hands and had him apply pressure.
As Neteyam gasped for breath, you felt like you couldn’t catch your breath either. With shaky hands you took his, lowering yourself down so you could hold it to your mouth, staring up at him with glassy eyes.
His breaths grew shorter, more panicked, as Neytiri landed her ikran and fell to her knees between you and Lo’ak. Jake held his face as he reassured him that it would be okay, and you felt like your throat was closing. Then everything stopped, and Jake pulled his hand away from Neteyam’s cheek.
Everything sounded muffled, like you were underwater or had cups over your ears. You couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. It felt as though your lungs stopped taking in air and like someone was squeezing your heart. You couldn’t hear what Neytiri was saying as she shook Neteyam’s shoulders, you could only hear the anguish in her voice. You felt it in your chest as she screamed and Jake pulled her to his chest. You looked over as the sounds around you echoed to see Lo’ak staring down at his red-stained hands.
You rocked on your knees, internally pleading with Eywa to wake you up, give you a sign that this was a nightmare and the emptiness in your chest was a horrid lie. You didn’t bother wiping away any of your tears, barely noticing them as they rolled down your cheeks and met with the back of Neteyam’s hand, which you hadn’t moved from your lips in the hopes that it would twitch, that he would be alive.
Then, all at once, sound returned. And you screamed. Pained and desperate, your voice cracking. You dropped his hand and collapsed down into Neteyam’s chest, pleading with Eywa to let his heart start beating again. You could hear voices, Jake and Neytiri’s, but what they were saying didn’t register. All you could focus on as you sobbed was the hollow, empty feeling deep in your chest. You let out a pained wail as you sat up, turning to Jake as you felt his hand rest on your shoulder. He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but closed it again, instead choosing to give you a soft, sad look.
You were left alone on the rocks with Neteyam as the others left to return to the ship and save the Sully daughters. You sat beside him cross-legged, and carefully pulled his head into your lap as if trying not to wake him from sleep. As gently as you could, you wiped away the blood staining his skin, wanting to erase all evidence that he was hurt, then you ran your fingers over his face, pushing his braids to the side and wiping away water and tears (both his and your own) from his star-speckled cheeks. Once you were satisfied, you gently closed his eyes.
Neteyam was always so beautiful as he slept, and you always loved the mornings when you would wake up before him leaving you able to roll over and stare at his peaceful expression. He would always get embarrassed when you told him he was pretty when he slept, the tips of his ears flushing pink.
“Ma Neteyam. Oeyä narlor muntxa si.” You pressed your lips to his forehead while you whispered to him. “Oeyä yawne. Please, come back to me. I cannot do this without you, I cannot live the rest of my life without you. You were supposed to be by my side forever.” You hiccuped as a sob broke out of you. You leaned back, staring up at the sky. “Great Mother, please. Please, do not take him from me, Great Mother.” You continued to sob and plead with Eywa and Neteyam’s heart as the boat exploded and a fire broke out.
The yellow-orange light reflected in your eyes and the tears that stained your cheeks. You barely registered the warmth, unable to feel without Neteyam.
---
You swam with the Sully family, close to Jake and Neytiri as they carried Neteyam’s body toward the Metkayina’s cove of ancestors. You had no idea whether the salted damp permanently on your cheeks was your tears or the ocean as the two had long-since become one and the same. You barely ate, you barely spoke. Everything felt as though you were fighting quicksand, too much effort for you.
Jake and Neytiri had told you that you could swim his body down with them, but you refused, knowing that if you did, it was unlikely you would be able to bring yourself back to the surface without him.
You and Lo’ak stayed by each other’s side, your hand holding his in a desperate attempt to not take in a breath of water. He held out his other hand toward his brother, while you squeezed your fist to your chest hoping the pinch of your nails into your palm would let you feel more than just numb.
The glowing anemone reached out to Neteyam, pulling him down and into its warmth. His energy was being returned to Eywa. As the glow absorbed him you let out a sob, realising that he was gone. Your mate, the man who promised he would be by your side forever, was gone and had left you alone with a tightness in your throat and feeling as though there was part of your soul missing.
Once you made your way back to your marui, you returned to the place you had been laying since you returned to Awa’atlu after being separated from Neteyam; the mat you had shared with Neteyam in the corner and wrapped in the blanked you had brought with you from your home with the Omatikaya clan, the blanket that still smelled so much like your mate.
Every time you closed your eyes, Neteyam was there with his wide eyes and bright smile. You could still hear his laugh and feel his touch on your skin as you fell asleep. As you slept, you dreamt of the life you were supposed to have with him, by his side as you grew old together, starting your own family that would share the way he smiled and that look he got when he was flying on his ikran.
You let out a sob and it broke Neytiri’s heart to hear as she passed by. She had seen the way her mother suffered after her father’s death, knowing that the bond of a mate left the living feeling less than themselves. And she herself had nearly lost her Jake once, and that pain was all consuming. Knowing that pain and mixing it with the grief she felt over losing her son, she could only imagine how you felt, so young and without your mate.
Silently she entered, bowl of food in her hand. Neytiri knew you hadn’t eaten all day, and you were still a part of her family. She slowly crouched beside you and you jolted when you felt her hand on your shoulder. You sniffed, nose still blocked from the crying that never seemed to end, and looked down at the food she offered. You shook your head, having no appetite. Food would not solve the feeling that someone had opened your chest and removed your heart, the only solution to that was buried with the ancestors.
“My sweet,” her words were soft, and you looked up at her with teary eyes, “are you ready to go to the Spirit Tree?” In the weeks since his death, Neytiri and Jake asked you this question in variation every day, hoping that seeing him in Eywa would ease your grief. They had learned quickly that saying Neteyam’s name visibly broke your already shattered heart even further, even more than the question itself. Neither were sure how long it would take until you were ready, but both did their best to keep you afloat in your grief.
Every time you thought of him, it felt as though you had breathed in water, your lungs heavy and your throat tight. Your breaths came in heaves, every inhale an effort against the thick air of loss. It was rare you were seen outside of your marui, the darkness within keeping you captive.
But you surprised Neytiri when you slowly shrugged off the blanket and nodded. She blinked down at you, but quickly offered you her hand. You took it, accepting her help in pulling you to your feet, the weight on the unused limbs causing you to wobble slightly.
“I’m afraid.” Your voice was small, scratched from your tears and it’s lack of use.
“Of what?” Neytiri left a comforting hand on your back, knowing that you may collapse into your consuming grief.
“That the spirit with Eywa is from before we mated.” That was half true.
After Jake and Neytiri returned from the Spirit Tree, Jake had told you that the Neteyam he saw was from when he was younger. If you saw that version, he may not even know that you were together at all.
She hummed as your eyes itched. Neytiri knew you were hiding from her, and while she didn’t want to force your words, she wanted you to know that there was nothing to be ashamed of when it came to expressing your grief.
“And that I’ve forgotten his face.” That confession is what broke you, a whimpered sob breaking from your throat. “I see him everywhere and in everything. I see him when I sleep and I hear him when it’s quiet. But what if the face I remember isn’t the right one.” Neytiri stopped walking and guided you toward her in a hug. You cried freely as her hand ran circles on your back.
She didn’t need to speak, her presence enough. She was, in human terms, your mother-in-law, and she took that very seriously. You were her child, the mated soul of her son. Neytiri would protect you in every way she could and that included keeping you safe from self-destructing in your grief and comforting you in your fears.
You sucked in a shuddered breath and pulled yourself away from her, apologising for your tears that stuck to her skin. Neytiri waved you off and let you choose the direction to continue in: either back to your marui or toward the Spirit Tree.
---
You sucked in a deep breath before bending at the waist and swimming down toward the glowing tendrils of the Metkayina clan’s Spirit Tree. The cool glow reflected off your skin and you squeezed your eyes closed as you reached behind you and took hold of your braided queue.
Eywa, please. Let me see My Neteyam again.
You were home again. Back in the deep forest, feet padding along the glowing moss. You pushed aside the familiar branches that revealed the clearing. Your clearing. The place of your first kiss, where he proposed, where you mated.
You looked around, already tearing up again (a seemingly constant state for you) at being home, when the sound of a pebble bouncing along the water met you. Your ears flicked toward the sound, and your head quickly followed.
Squatting by the pond, arm still extended from the throw, was Neteyam. You let out a short, shuddered breath at the sight of him, and you saw his ears flick.
He turned, eyes bright and smile warm, his chest showing no sign of the wound that took him from you. Neteyam was exactly as you saw him when you closed your eyes.
“Ma y/n!” At the sound of his voice, the tears broke free and his face dropped, immediately rushing over to you and bringing his hands to your upper arms. “Yawne, what’s wrong?” You shook your head, not wanting him to worry about you. He brought one hand to your chin and you leaned into it.
“I’m just-” your voice cracked, “I’m so happy to see you.” He tilted his head with a soft smile, leaning down to press his forehead against your own.
“I’ve missed you.” You felt his breath on your lips and more tears rolled down your flushed cheeks, though they were quickly wiped away by his thumb. You tilted your head to kiss him, ignoring the saltiness of the tears that stuck to your lips.
“I don’t want to leave you.” Your voice was wet with tears, and Neteyam leaned back to look at you.
“Yawne, I am always with you.” You shook your head but he continued to speak. “But you cannot stay here forever. Not yet.” Neteyam kissed you slowly, pouring out the love that he held for you and making up for the kisses you had missed since his death.
You opened your mouth to ask why not, but you felt a pain in your lungs. A pain that pulled you away from Neteyam and back to the ocean as your body begged for breath.

You were once a human, except, you were used for human experimenting. The whole purpose of the experiment was so that you could be the first human to be immune to the toxic environment of Pandora. They'd be constant serums injected to you and even exposing you to the toxic are to see if it'll work. It went on for years.
Until the war between humans and na'vi, you had managed to escape. But during your escape you had fallen into a huge hole and fell to your demise. You hoped and begged that you wouldn't die lie this, you wished for a second chance of some kind. Then you began to be wrapped in some kind of flesh like cocoon, filling with water.
Years later, the so called cocoon still remained in the hole. Then the cocoon proceeded to open up slowly. Then you had emerged from the now shell like cocoon. Except, you weren't exactly human. Your skin is pink, your hair was no longer a natural color. But a mixture between blonde, green, a purplish grey, pink and so on.
Not only that, but you had more than just two eyes, making them four in total. The last thing you didn't expect was to have a literal pair of wings. If it wasn't obvious, you weren't human anymore. You had no idea what you had become, but you knew that you weren't human not one bit.
After moments of realization, you had to get out of that hole you been in the last couple of years. First you crawled out by climbing the dirt wall. But you were stopped by something that had been attached to you. Looking down, you saw that it was some sort of ambilocal cord attached to you, so you decided to pull it. At first it didn't do nothing, then you pulled much harder, then finally the cord tore off.
Once you were out of that hole, you decided to try and find someone or people to help you. After hours of roaming around in the woods, you had came across the na'vi. Well, group of na'vi kids and a human boy. At first they freaked out because they're never seen a creature like you, but had finally calmed down after some time.
You then explained everything that has happened to you and how you ended up the way that you did. They got curious. They'd ask question after question, such as. Why is your skin pink? Why is your hair multiple colors? Why do you have wings? What's up with your four eyes?
You had no answers to their questions, the only answer you gave them was that you had been 'asleep' for many years and just woke up. They then thought about taking you to meet their father and mother, maybe even grandmother.
When you arrived at the high camp, just like them, their parents. Mainly their father freaked out. Their mother didn't seem to freaked out. When the kids explained to them about your whole or most of your situation. Their father seemed to understand where you were coming from.
As for the mother, she thought of you as a forest creature that had just been born. Sounded normal to her.
Since then on, you'd be around the Sully's. You got to learn their names. Jake, Neytiri, Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak, and Tuk. Spider was the family friend of the Sully kids.
Quickly after, the rest of the Omaticaya took notice of you. Since you were always around the Sully's. They had grown curious because they've never seen a creature like you, ever. They didn't seem to really mind your presence, but they couldn't help but often stare. In a curious way.
They'd be times where you'd interact with others other then the Sully kids. They were pretty touchy, often touching your multi colored hair, your wings, your hands and even ears. You didn't mind since they were curious in trying to figure out what you were.
Mainly the children, ever since Tuk had introduced you to her friends. They couldn't help but be around you constantly. They'd ask you question, almost similar to the ones that you were asked and different questions. Like. Can you fly like the ikran? Why is your hair constantly changing color? Why are you pink? Is there more like you?
Almost every day other day you'd get asked a different question by the kids and adult. As much as you wanted to answer them properly, you just couldn't. Hopefully later on you'd be able to answer them all.

You should’ve listened to your gut.
One moment, you’re closing in on the enemy, soaring high in the smoggy sky as a spotter for your mother and father who are at the forefront of the unit. The beat of the ikrans’ wings hum like an omen, hushed whispers of action plans culminating as warriors begin breaking from formation.
But the next moment, creatures caw and squeal ferociously from being hit.
It’s a silent ambush, you realize, no advanced technologies or oversized vessels. Just humans cast in blue bodies, hiding among the overgrown brush of the lush forest using simple tactics to seal their agenda.
But you’re good at what you do, eyes keen, sharp and you sight the lumbering blue body taking aim.
From above, your arm pulls taut and sends the arrow sailing, pinning the solider’s chest to the forest floor.
Your fingers find the button of the comm on your throat, choking out a quick plea to retreat. The RDA is getting smarter, finding new strategies, and it devastates the people.
Neteyam trails behind you, watching your peripheral like a hawk when he hears your hoarse voice like static in his ear.
“Fall back.” It’s his father’s voice, Jake Sully’s.
He’s near the front of the unit with your father, you can see them like specks in the distance, four blurbs flitting through the trees.
You press forward and your name on Neteyam’s tongue is a warning.
You crane your neck over your shoulder, chance a glance at the dream walker’s son, committing his features to memory as you give a silent command to your ikran to swoop down into the canopy of the trees.
The units are dropping rapidly, but you will you and your creature forward, foliage and tree trunks blurring as you whirl through enemy fire.
You see them up ahead, your parents and Neteyam’s, the colored ends of their arrows landing blow after blow into the force below.
You hear it before you see it, the curse that leaves your father’s lips, the shout that pierces the otherwise silencing air.
Four blurbs become three, then two, and your heart is lurching in your chest.
The agonized scream tears your throat until it’s raw.
“Two down, urgent.” Jake reports raggedly. “Fall back.”
You don’t, you’d never.
You’re barreling towards the forest floor like a bullet ready to pierce the earth, your name echoing through the air like a mantra.
Tumblr media
You can’t stop shaking, eyes unblinking as you watch the roar of the crackling fire in the middle of the tent. It’s quiet save for the solemn murmuring of villagers outside, but all you hear is the sound of rushing water, like you’re caught in a current.
They’d found Tsu’tey and Beyral before you could, Neteyam swooping down seconds after you to steal you back to safety.
And Neytiri had tearily barred you from Mo’at’s tent when they arrived because the tsahik needed quiet and concentration.
The attempts were futile, you’d seen it on Jake’s face when he ducked into your tent and settled before you, five-fingered hand coming down to rest on your head as your shoulders shook.
“I’m sorry, kid,” he whispered, eyes brimming with tears as he watches you fall apart in front of him.
You’d grown into a strong young woman, already surpassing your coming of age, but in that moment, your rounded cheeks streaked with tears, you looked every bit of the little girl he’d watched grow up with his oldest son.
Neteyam’s entrance is silent, hands brushing your shoulders as a silent notice that he’s there. He settles in front of you, gaze soft as he thumbs away a stray tear.
You crumple all over again, falling forward into his chest as an anguished wail wracks your tired body. You cry and you cry and you cry, Neteyam absorbing each devastated sob as he rubs your back, the other hand cradling the back of your head.
He feels a disgusting concoction of dread, sadness, guilt. He doesn’t know what he’d do if it were his own, but to know that you’d gone into battle with two loving parents and emerged without makes his heart tug so hard he feels like it’ll shatter.
Tsu’tey had been good to his family, did well leading the people alongside his father. Beyral had fiercely given power to his mother, to Kiri, to you, to be mighty hunters. Regardless of the lack of blood binds, he feels the hollow in his chest.
The hide shifts and Kiri enters, followed by Lo’ak and the youngest. Neteyam’s eyes are warning, sharp as they form a circle around you, each of their hands finding purchase on some part of your body as a silent reminder that family isn’t always blood.
“We’re here, tsmuke,” Kiri whispers.
You feel infinitely warmer with their bodies surrounding you, Neteyam hugging you so tight you feel like your broken pieces could stick together.
“Always,” Tuk says, voice small as she slips her fingers through yours
You suck in a shuddering breath, hiccuping as you peel away from Neteyam’s chest.
He watches you closely, brushing your sweaty hair from your face as he seals the reminder.
“Always.”

real enough to touch
atwow!jake sully x fem avatar reader
!! angst; there are references to a1; hinted age gap between jake and reader; use of "kid" as platonic pet name // 2.1k words
: based of this prompt; hope you guys would luv it <33; title from blue banisters - lana
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you watch as they gather their things, packing up whatever else they could hoist onto their ikrans without the beasts buckling underneath all the weight that they are not used to carrying. the sully’s are silent for a change, their lips pinched close, their eyes refusing to meet each other in an act of full avoidance, hoping that the silence would blanket their breaking hearts.
your hands twitch, muscle memory kicking in when jake stalked away and left the rest of his family for a short moment. neytiri finds your eyes, tipping her head to wherever jake headed and you send her a short nod before turning around to follow the trail that your friend left.
you find him standing before the opening of high camp, alone, his eyes looking far away and his mind lost in thought. not even your loud footfalls could coax him out so you wait, taking your space beside him, basking in the silence as you count down the minutes you have left with him.
“i’m sorry,” he says after a while, his voice thick and only then do you realize that he slipped into english – a pretence of privacy.
“you shouldn’t be,” you tell him, tipping your head up and smiling when you meet his already-waiting eyes. “i get it the most, you know?”
“i know,” he breathes. “i’d love nothin’ more than for you t’come… but the people, they need you more.”
“‘course. they’re still gon’ need the remaining warrior of the jarhead clan, now that y’r leavin’,” you tease, hoping to ease the tension.
he chuckles, shaking his head at your words. your heart stutters at the sound, the realization that this is the last you’ll ever hear from and see of jake has you biting the inside of your cheeks, willing yourself to not cry yet. not when he needs you – strong heart.
he licks his lips, parting them, hesitating, until he finally mutters, “thanks for always being with me: back in hell’s gate ‘till now.”
you roll your eyes at him this time, a huff of short laugh escaping your lips. “i promised, didn’t i?”
(“on me?” he asked, tall and blue and free. he stood beside neytiri, their eyes pleading, waiting, but hardened – if you were going to stand against them, then so be it.
but how could you ever? you would follow him to hell if he asked.
“always, corporal,” you replied, laughing as you shook your head, watching as your answer was rewarded with twin and fanged smiles.
yeah, you thought, i have no regrets.)
but that might have been the wrong thing to say; you watch as jake’s face falls, his body drooping along, making him look older than he is. he reaches out for you, patting your head the way you see him do with his kids – familial. platonic.
your heart bursts at seeing what you are to him. it is love, sure it is not in the way you want, but it is still love. jake’s love.
you shuffle to his side, patting him on the back. “i’m fine, jake.”
“i know y’are,” he says, his hand still resting on your head. “but i want you to live for y’rself, kid. y’ve always been here f’r me and now i want you to be here for y’rself.”
“and what exactly does living for myself mean?” your tone is jovial, light.
“…well, i see the way you are with my kids and i know you’ll be a great mother.”
his words strike you, your mind racing as you stare up at him with wide eyes. no.
“no,” you repeat out loud, chuckles spilling from your lips. “you- no. jake. i, uh, i don’t think i can.”
his brows crease, worry lining his face. “you can’t? why?”
“it’s not like i’ll like anyone else to the point of marriage and mating.” you shrug, hiding your wince with a cough, your tail coiling around your leg as you duck your head away, breaking eye contact.
he holds your arm, quiet, urging you to look at him again. you refuse, hoping he would not insist, not when it’s him.
“anyone else?” jake’s voice pierces through your silence and your lungs burn at hearing him repeat your slip up.
you clench your jaw, biting back anything that can clue him in because jake’s smart. no amount of augustine’s curt dismissal could say otherwise. hell, even spellman had begrudgingly admitted that there’s something good going on in jake’s head. ‘something’ that could easily bite your ass right now.
“oh,” he says.
fuck.
“kid-”
you shrug out of his hold, jake easily letting go of your arm, and you shuffle away, your back turned to him. you rub the back of your neck, chuckling, not minding the fact that you and him could hear just how fake it sounds.
“it’s nothing, jake. don’t. don’t worry about it.” you do not meet his eyes, ashamed of having your feelings unearthed, laid down at his feet for him to see.
he is quiet, unmoving, but you can feel his stare pinning you, tracking the way you shuffle or how you fiddle with your fingers to keep your eyes busy.
you wonder what he thinks, but fear seizes your heart, squeezing, filling you with pinpricks. you are afraid. afraid that if he does give word to what you have always avoided – his rejection, his apologies, his pity – then there’s no turning back. no bridge to salvage. and you would be left with nothing of jake, not even his friendship.
then, amidst your silence, jake finally speaks.
“since when?” he asks. his curiosity is gentle, kind, and you turn to look at him, seeing the beginnings of apologies shadowing his weary eyes.
another dismissal sits on your tongue, ready for you to just move past this because what good would it do to talk about things that could never be?
but-
but how long have you been unkind to yourself? how long have you carried this love? before the war and even now at its return, was it not him who you fought for? was it not jake who gave you the strength to just be?
you feel him step close to you, close but not enough – it would never be enough. you study the contours of his face, every line and every freckle. eywa, he is so beautiful, your heart burns.
“that day before you were gon’ go scouting with augustine and spellman.” the words spill from your lips. “just after you caused so many issues by just running away once your first link was established.”
you laugh, heart easing up when you see jake’s lips tug up in a soft smile at the memory.
“i just finished unlinking from my own when you wheeled towards my open pod, grinning ear to ear, asking how it was. i told you it felt weird, in a good way, and you did this laugh. it was- it came from deep in your belly.” you lick your lips, ignoring the choked up feeling lodged in your throat.
“you were always so detached from everyone, keeping to yourself even on the days we were allowed to let loose and have fun, but it all changed that day. you looked so much happier, lighter. calmer, even. jake, you were – are – so beautiful. and i, well, you know.”
jake’s eyes gloss over like he can see the memory play out before his eyes. “that long?” his voice is vulnerable.
“yeah.”
you take a moment, a quiet breath, then, “it’s always been you, jake.”
tears trickle from the corners of your eyes, spilling onto flushed cheeks. your heart caves as the last of your secrets are laid bare for him to see. the pieces fall from your palms and you know jake could never pick them up for you. you don’t even expect him to.
because this love that you carry is not meant to be reciprocated, you know that at least. not when jake’s heart has finally found its home in the loving arms of neytiri. because while you are in love with jake, you love neytiri just as strongly. and just how you will do anything to make jake happy, you will do just as much to protect neytiri’s joy.
“i’m sorry,” jake whispers, the simple words loaded with so much emotion. you look into his eyes, see the storm raging, and you laugh.
the giggles spill from your lips like your trickling tears – soft, unexpected, and surprising.
jake looks up, astonished and confused at your reaction. you shake your head at him, moving close, reaching to hold his wrists with your smaller hands.
“jake, i know,” you say, smiling up at him. “i’m not hurt or lamenting. i’ve had years to make do, and many more years to realize that us being friends – that’s just as good. i don’t need anything more from you jake. i’m happy as we are.”
jake studies you, his eyes tracking your tears and the soft smile gracing your lips, memorizing the white freckles on your face and the patterns running along your cheeks. he gazes into you, seeing, not for the first time, how much you mean to him and his heart calms. because despite the tears and the heartbreaking confession, jake sees the serenity lining your face, and that is all that he could wish for.
he twists his hands so that he is holding onto yours, your fingers tangled with his. amber eyes gaze at you, heavy with sincere care directed at you. you giggle, a heartbreaking hiccupped sound, as he draws you close and pulls you into an embrace.
the last one, you think to yourself, burrowing your head onto his chest. and then he’ll be gone.
“thank you,” jake murmurs, his voice muted from where it’s pressed onto your forehead. “i- i’m sorry for not noticing. for not realizing, but thank you. thank you for still being with me. for choosing me and the clan. for fighting for us. i wouldn’t have gone far without you so thank you, kid.”
you nod, no longer trusting your voice, your lips wobbling as you stifle a sob. his fingers run along your braids, tickling the base of your ears, before pressing a kiss on the top of your head. then, he is pulling away, his warm embrace leaving you for the cool air to caress.
time has slipped past your fingers, it seems, and now it’s time for him to go.
“take care, jake.” you hold his eyes, willing yourself to be strong in front of him for the last time.
he nods, unable to leave with a pretence of a smile amidst his own teary eyes. but that’s alright. he’s given you enough of his kindness and love to last you a lifetime.
you both return to the edge of the cliff, the clan watching as the sullys prepare to mount their ikrans. neytiri offers you a tight hug, her sobs pressed on the side of your face and you hold her with weak arms, crying as your sister takes her leave.
the children squeeze you as they hug you goodbye. tuk promises to tell you the stories of her journey and you do not tell her that they might not return to the clan anymore, not when jake’s doing this to protect them from the humans, so you nod and tell her that you will wait.
because you will. you will wait for their return. for your friend’s return.
jake meets your eyes once more, raising his hand and waving goodbye, and then they’re all gone.
the clan members return to their tents, quiet and solemn, but you stay at the edge of the cliff, watching as they go smaller and smaller, until they’re engulfed by the colours of the vast sky.
mo’at stands beside you. waiting. silent. then, “come, child. you no longer need to hide.”
your knees buckle as you turn to her, unable to stop yourself from hugging her as you sob, not minding the fact that she is the tsahik as you seek comfort in her embrace. your lungs burn at the weight of your sorrow, and she holds you close, her aged arms holding you up as you weep.
because now, truly, jake is gone. he has left you behind, unable to follow him.
you had been fine not being his beloved as long as he was in your life. but now, you have nothing of him. just memories of him – his ghost.

warnings: grammatical errors, timeskip ao'nung, aged up ao'nung?

Tumblr media Tumblr media
"𝐈 am speechless, Ao'nung. You're for real. You've always been a complete idiot, but now I am shocked!" I yelled at him.
Tumblr media
Ao'nung looked as if he didn't care that I told him he was an idiot. “You shouldn't be friends with them, y/n. They're not like us!"
"And who are you to decide about that?"
"Your friend, y/n!"
"Ao'nung, you're a kid. I don't care that you're the son of a clan ruler, but to me, you're a child." I splashed in his face and walked away with that. He was still shouting after me, but I didn't care anymore.
I sat down on the beach, the water washed my feet. I felt so useless.
"Are you okay?" Neteyam, my new friend, sat next to me.
"Yes, I'll be fine."
"I heard your argument with Ao'nung," he touched my shoulder. "I appreciate you that you stood for us, but.."
"But what? He has no right to behave like this."
"Yes. But he's your friend. And he's the son of Tonowari."
"I. Don't. Care."
“I think he's jealous, y/n. That you found new friends."
I looked at Neteyam.
"Oh, Neteyam, he's idiot. But I still like him. Ugh." I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder.
╭┈─ ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ I was just treating Ao'nung's wound. He fought with Lo'ak again. I didn't want to heal him, but I was the daughter of healers.
Ao'nung looked with his blue eyes at me. I looked away. I've always had a soft spot for them.
“I'm sorry, y/n. But it's too much for me"
"We all have our problems. That's no reason to treat others like that, Ao'nung."
"I'm engaged, y/n," he said OUT OF NOWHERE and my heart stopped beating for a second, but I didn't say anything.
"And I don't want to be. I don't want my parents to rule my life."
"They mean well."
"I know. But I don't want to."
...
"Ao'nung, I'm sure they picked a good girl for you."
Ao'nung sighed.
I disinfected his wound and looked at him. "Look, you still have a lot of time. A lot can happen until then. Don't worry about it yet and enjoy your youth while you can, okay?"
He touched my hand. "All right. I'll try. Thank you."
╭┈─ ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ "You don't like him, you love him, don't you?" Neteyam came to me again. Lately, we have become even closer.
"What? No!" I screamed.
“y/n, you didn't even ask who I meant,” he smirked.
"Neteyam, that's bullshit. And he's engaged."
He stopped smiling. "Really? I am sorry."
"It's OK." I smiled weakly.
"Ao'nung is a fool if he doesn't see what a wonderful girl he has in front of him." Neteyam hugged me and I sighed.
Why did I just like him? Why couldn't I like Neteyam for example? Love sucks.
╭┈─ ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ Tears were streaming down my cheeks. Neteyam! I screamed in my mind. But no one answered me.
Tsireya looked at me. She was also crying. Everyone was crying. Especially Sully's.
Neteyam left for Eywa. My faithful friend left me.
After the ceremony, I went to our place as if dead, without a soul. Where we talked with Neteyam. I sat down and dipped my feet in the water.
"I'm sorry, y/n."
"Why are you following me?" I snapped at Ao'nung.
"Look, I'm sorry too, okay?"
"Why, why? He didn't deserve it," I fell to the ground and Ao'nung hugged me.
He stroked my back. "You have me,"
I immediately went away from him. I looked at him angrily. "I don't want you, I want Neteyam!"
".... You. You loved him?" he looked at me in shock.
I laughed. "I loved. As a friend! Because I love you, you stupid!" I screamed and wanted to leave.
"What... what did you just say?" he held my hand.
"Ah, Ao'nung. Let me go, okay? I need to be alone."
╭┈─ ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ In the end, I left the clan. My family and I went away, to another family. I welcomed the new change. This place brought me a lot of pain. And most of all, I didn't want to be with Ao'nung. I didn't want to see him become the leader of a clan with another woman by his side.
The years passed. I don't know how many years it could have been. Seven? Eight? But one thing was certain, I was no longer a child. I have grown into a young woman. The healer. In this village, they adored me, appreciated my help, and wanted to engage me with the leader's son. The leader's son again. I did not want that. I wanted to be alone.
I liked to travel. My parents were always worried about me, but they always let me go.
I missed Neteyam. Very much.
"No way! I'm not going back there!" I shouted at my father.
"You have to. They need a healer!"
"Then let them find someone else."
Mom came to me. "Daughter. Be strong and go there. You're not like that. You like to help,"
I sat down desperately. "And what about this village? Doesn't it need a healer too?"
“We're healers too, y/n. Please go there.” Dad gave me a desperate look.
They wanted me to go to the clan where Neteyam died.
I sighed desperately, but what was I supposed to do?
"It's been many years, daughter. Things have changed."
╭┈─ ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ Things have changed, but the water hasn't. It was still the same. Transparent and crystal as the eyes of the one I didn't want to see.
We were just children. I should forget about that. I bet he forgot about me.
I was walking along the beach where Neteyam and I were talking. It was quiet here.
The sun was slowly rising, and so were the people. I came here early in the morning because I didn't want to arrive in style. I wanted to come quietly.
I walked past the houses, to the house of Tonowari and Ronal. I haven't seen them for a long time. I was looking forward to them.
"Hey. They said you were looking for a healer," I said to the children who curiously clustered around me when I stopped.
A figure stood far away. I couldn't believe it. It was...?
The figure was approaching.
My Eywa.
He changed.
He was taller, and muscular, with broad shoulders, tattooed, and his face was tattooed too. His hair was not in a bun, but loose. He looked so good. Too good. He had a cloak around his shoulders. He wasn't a teenager anymore.
"Ao'nung," I said as I looked into his face. I had to tilt my head back.
He looked at me. Did I change too? I wondered. Probably yes. A little bit. My face was tattoed and my body probably changed too. But I wasn't changed as much as him.
He bared his teeth at me. “y/n.” And then he hugged me.
I hugged him back. It was a strong hug.
The children around us giggled happily.
"You've changed," I told him.
"You've changed too, you're not a child anymore"
I giggled. "No."
We looked at each other like crazy and examined each other.
"I should probably take you to see my mother," he said.
"Yes.."
╭┈─ ◌ೄ◌ྀ ˊˎ A few days passed. I was in the forest gathering herbs when I felt Ao'nung's presence.
"Do you need help?" he asked.
"Oh no, but thank you"
He knelt and looked into my eyes. His presence made me nervous.
" I thank you. That you came."
"Oh, Ao'nung. You don't have to be so formal. After all, we were friends,"
"And we're not anymore?" he asked.
I sighed. "I don't know, Ao'nung. Many things have changed. You're engaged," I reminded him.
"I am not anymore."
I looked at him. "What?"
"I was, but... She loves someone else."
"Oh. That's kind of you to let her go like that,"
"It's nothing. I love someone else too."
Me?
"Ao'nung."
"y/n."
We looked at each other. I smiled nervously and tucked a blue flower behind his ear. "It suits you," and I wanted to run away. I didn't know how to react.
But Ao'nung wouldn't let me go. "Please don't run anymore."
He held my jaw and kissed my eyes, cheeks, and chin. And then on the lips.
I put my arms around his shoulders and kissed him too. I don't know how long we were kissing, but it was beautiful. We didn't want to stop.
"Ao'nung. Why did it take us so long?" I sighed. "Why only now?"
He poked my nose. "Good things are worth waiting for. We may have changed, but we are still the same inside. I'm still the idiot you called me. And you're still the same girl. I love you.'
I happily poked him in the stomach. "I love you, my idiot."
"y/n!"

Note
hello, i forgot if i already send you my request or not... but if i am alreadg forgive me, i just want a lo'ak x f!reader when she closes to tuk and tuk loves her so much. when quaritch captures them, loa'ak saves them and saying he will never leave them alone again. thank you
protectiveness.
Tumblr media
— pairings : lo'ak x fem!reader.
— warnings : slight avatar the way of water spoilers. slight violence.
— author's note : i loved writing the last parts sm💀. ty for the request! sorry it took so long though:').
Tumblr media
Lo'ak loves how you treat his younger sister, Tuktirey. Often times, he even feels jealous of how close you and Tuk were. Like, him and you would just be hanging out by yourselves, and then the little girl would just randomly spawn outta nowhere and start crying for your attention..
You shouldn't have fed that girl your love all the time. Now she hogs you away from him as of there was no tomorrow for your attention. But of course, Tuk is just little after all, so she has to be treated fairly.
Still, Lo'ak just wishes she'd stop taking you away every few hours.
Not only him that loves you, but his whole family does. In fact, they treat you like you were apart of the Sully's. See, a small backstory for you was that you've never really had real parents. Yes, you were real Na'vi and did come out of a mother's womb, but you weren't raised by them.
You were left on your own in the clan, and your parents were no where on sight. You didn't have any other relatives too, so you practically just raised yourself. Neytiri was the one who learned about the absence of your parents and decided to take you in despite you repeatedly refusing.
You were probably around eight or nine around the time his mother decided to raise you. She said you still had lots to learn, but it wasn't too late for you to be taught the Na'vi ways since you were still somewhat young.
But even though his mother took you into her care and family, you didn't live with them like Kiri did. In fact, you had a place of your own and that's where you always hid when you wanted to be alone. You only ever come to their place when they want you to visit(which is practically everyday) but you always end the day back at your home.
Lo'ak had to admit, he wished you'd stop being so stubborn and just live with his family. He'd get to see you everyday, and he'll probably get more chance to hang out with you. Without Tuk.
And so of course, when the sky people landed their dirty asses back on pandora and the Suli family had to move to a more hidden village in order to protect their home in the forest, you were dragged with them.
You've got to admit, you wouldn't last a week without Neytiri's kids being literal chaos around you. You simply loved their bond.
It was nice living with the Awa'atlu, but minus the bullying, constant fighting, and how Lo'ak literally almost DIED. You loved their village, it was so open and fresh. You also happened to befriend a pretty girl named Tsireya.
You wondered if she liked Lo'ak considering how she looks at him.. you hoped not.
You'd rather be dragged under solid ground than admit you liked the boy. It was just a simple admiration anyway, it'll probably just pass as another crush phase like always. Plus, the boy probably only sees you as a reaaally close friend.
Anyway, Tsireya and him would look much more better. You've got to say it for yourself as well, you're probably starting to like Tsireya too. In a slight supportive platonic girl friend way.. yeah, totally.
And as the days went by, the more you learned about their ways. From the Ilu's, the proper way to swim, and to their environmental differences. But in those days, the sky people were also nearing. Ready to attack.
You so badly prayed among greatmother Eywa to stop those demons from harming your family and the Metkayina clan, but it was to no avail when you learned those demons were going from islands to islands, demanding of Jake's location.
You've never learned alot about the sky people, but Lo'ak along with his parents have told you enough to make you curse their every existence.
You desperately tried to shake away the marines trailing after you as it gained on your trail. You looked back, seeing as they were now closer. You didn't know where you are, and you were lost amongst the sea of long kelps with none of your friends with you. You swiftly turn, coincidentally missing a fire they shot at you as you did so.
Ditching the marine as you forced your way through the big leaves, and then you see Tuktirey desperately trying to swim away from an approaching underwater transportation. You swam past Lo'ak and Tsireya as your mind was on the little girls safety. You grab the girl from the waist as you caught up to her, surprising her as you leaded your Ilu away from the marines.
But when another underwater machine emerged from the forest of tall kelps, you were startled and accidentally bumped your Ilu's body onto it from the lack of instinct. You held Tuktirey close as you watched the machine near you both, trying to swim away until a net caught you both.
Ikrans dived into the water, grabbing the net as they pulled you up to the surface of the water. You instantly let out a big breath as your head made contact with the air, looking around you as Tuktirey choked for steady breaths. You tried to steady yourself onto the net, attempting to grab your knife from your thigh holster.
Tuk inches closer to you, desperately grasping onto your form as she sniffed, looking around in fear. You stabbed your knife through the net, trying to cut off its unbelievable material. "Hurry!" Tuk yells, looking at your knife as the net refused to cut.
"I'm trying, Tuk!"
"Why won't it cut?!" She yelled furiously, watching as the Ikran dragged you both by the boat. You let out a pained thud as your side landed on the cold surface of the mechanic, glaring at the sight of the demon bloods. You grasped Tuk by her arm, pulling her close to you as you kicked the net off your bodies, pointing your knife at the woman who tried to take Tuk.
"Drop the weapon!"
You hiss at her, knicking her arm as it drew blood when she tried to reach out for the young girl. You're too focused on her as you didn't notice another fraud reach out for Tuktirey, pulling her away from your hold. "No!" You yelled, spinning around to face the fraud who took Tuk.
Immediately, your hair was pulled as a hand reached to the back of your head, harshly pulling you down with great force. You tried to turn your head at the Avatar who took a hold of yoh, glaring at her. "You bitch! Go back to your dying planet and leave us alone!" You struggled under her hold.
"What'd she say?" Another Avatar perks up.
You scoffed, completely forgetting those morons don't speak your native tongue.
"She just called me a bitch!"
Never mind.
You watched, unthreatened as the man who was the reason of the last war back many years ago walked over to you. The woman grips on your braid tightly, making you yell in pain as she forced you to look at the Avatar in front of you.
"Oh, are you another Sully?" He questioned, crouching down at your level as if he was inspecting something. You glared at him, your unoccupied hand coming up to punch him in the face. When you successfully landed a hit, he let's out a grunt, before his own hand came up to grip the first you just used to hit him.
He glances at you slowly, before he turned at your hand.
"I guess not." He laughs. He took you by the arm, tugging on you without mercy as he dragged you to the railing where Tuktirey was held hostage on. He keeps you still as you tried fighting back, forcing you on your knees when you tried landing a hit on him.
"Let me go, you freak." You yelled at him in your native language. He laughed at you, amused as if he also understood your words. "Oh you're calling me a freak? Ironic." He states, raising his brows.
He leaves you with the young girl as she goes closer to you, her cuffs tugging on the rail. She drops by your side, leaning her head on your chest tiredly. "Don't worry, Tuk. Well get out of here." You attempted to reassure the girl.
"Navi inbound!" You hear the Avatar yell, pointing his gun at the sight of Na'vi's emerging from the side of the an island. Tuktirey let's out a gasp, "Dad!" She cheeres.
You grinned, turning around to face the Avatar man. "Neytiri's gonna kick your dumbass." You insult him. He growls at your words, ears twitching. He steps towards you, snatching the throat comms Lo'ak's father gave you just in case of emergencies and easy communication. He take your earpiece from your ear, and presses it on his ear instead.
You looked at the clan worriedly, simply wishing on Eywa they won't be hurt.
"Jake. Tell your friends to stand down." The man behind you spoke into your throat comms. "You want your kid back, you come out alone." He pulls out a gun, slowly pressing in on the back of Tuktirey's head. The girl whimpers, glancing at you worriedly as she feared if she made a single movement, she'd have to face consequences.
You hissed at his actions, glaring at the Avatars behind you. "Put that gun off the child." You growled.
"I took you under my wing, Jake. You killed your own, good men, good women. I will not hesitate to execute your kid." Your eyes widen at his words, finally getting a hint that he was not just making empty threats.
"(name), I'm scared." Tuktirey spoke in your native tongue, looking at you teary eyed. "It's gonna be okay, Tuk, I'm here." You comforted the girl, smiling at her as you tried to take her mind off the gun at the back of her head.
"Offers fixing to expire. What will it be?"
"Easy shot."
Quaritch blocks the Avatar's gun, looking focusedly on the sight of the Toruk Makto slowly approaching the boat. Alone.
"You hit him now, they attack. Wait till' he's on board." Tuk sniffed at his words, eyes shutting closed as she continued to bury her head againstyour chest.
Your heart dropped to your stomach as you saw a Tulkun emerge from the waters, your ears ringing as you hear the Tulkun let out a hollering roar. "Payakan!" Tuktirey yelled. You watched as the Tulkun dropped down into the cold surface of the boat, crushing the small sky people in the process.
You yelped as gunshots ran around you, making Tuktirey bury herself against you even more as she tried to silence out the sounds. Payakan let's out a shriek as an human aims at his face, making you wince.
You stood up and harshly bumped your body onto the mecha, making him yelp and fall to the ground as Payakan brutally crushes the demon form with his thick fin. You cheered at the sight, taking pleasure of the scene. "Yeahh! That's right Payakan! Do more!"
"Kneel, you fool!" Another sky-people turns to you, aiming his gun at you as if trying to intimidate. Payakan dragged his body further into the boat as his tail hits the mechanics around the place, making more further destruction. You see the Na'vi at the corner of your eye start to attack, with Toruk Makto leading them.
Small boats from another side get a better view of Payakan, and you notice that it was the same ones who tried to take a hit on him earlier. The Tulkun let's out a hollow roar, before you yelled out his name in warning. The tulkun swiftly closes its mouth as he ducks, his thick skin making the shot from the boat slide through instead.
Payakan goes back into the water, and you diverted your attention back to the clan. You watched, starstrucked in a bad way as attacks happened from left to right, and you lost sight of Jake.
An explosion ignites from the side of an engine, dangerously close to it. Your eyes widened as it suddenly turned on, and the fire immediately spreads onto the mechanic. You yelped as you were slightly tugged back, and the boat started going for at full speed. Tuktirey let's out a shout when the boat was lifted up in the air when it ran through rocks, making your head dizzy, and then you two were thrown back down as the boat almost crushed another boat.
"Ah– fuck, what the fuck is happening?" You grunted in pain, the side of your hip stinging from the harsh impact. You turned to Tuktirey as she starts tugging on her cuffs, biting her lips. "Are you okay, Tuk?"
She only let's out a hum as she dragged her hands back and forth as if it would do something. You looked around for a sharp item nearby that your foot can't reach, not noticing two boys arriving at your scene.
"Brother!"
"Tuk, I'm not your brother—" You shook your head at her, turning around but was met by the sight of Neteyam and Lo'ak. Lo'ak snickered at your shocked expression before strutting towards you, bringing out his knife.
"You alright there, princess? You look a little.. surprised. What? Did you not expect for your not expect for your knight and shining armour to come and save you?" He teased, looking at you as he cut off your cuffs without effort.
You looked at him with a blank face. "Stop talking, skxawng. You aren't even cutting my cuffs right!" You yelled at him, a playful smile coming to your face as he finally noticed his mistake. He cuts off your cuffs while Neteyam takes Tuktirey away as Tsireya was waiting for you all by the water.
"But you are alright, though, right?" The boy immediately starts inspecting you as he grasped your hand. You chuckled, nodding your head. "Yes, I am. No scratches whatsoever." You answered him. He let's out a sigh of relief before his other unoccupied hand comes to your cheek.
"I'm so, so sorry for dragging you into this," he starts apologizing for Eywa knows what, leaving you confused. "I'm never leaving you alone, ever again. If you see me leaving you alone, slap me. Okay?"
"Lo'ak, you skxawng." You teased, brushing your finger on his nose with slight mischief. You take his hand, starting to go to where Neteyam and Tuk exited from until Lo'ak went the opposite way.
"What are you doing?" You questioned, grabbing his hand before he could do anything else. "What about spider? We can't leave him." He spoke up about the boy. You looked behind him, looking further into the boat as you bit your lip.
"Come on, I'm sure he's fine."
"But, he's—"
"Lo'ak. He'll be saved later on." You told him strictly, cutting him off as you looked into his eyes, noticing how he was now hesitating by your words. "..alright." He nods, giving in.
You smiled, taking both his hands as you lead him away from the boat.

Growing up on Pandora was wonderful. After all, what was not to like? The colorful flora, bioluminescent animals and plants all over the planet, delicious fruits growing on gigantic trees with complex bark patterns. As deadly as they were, the beasts on here were simply stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. The indigenous, the Na'vi, were usually quite peaceful, at least the omaticaya tribe. They only took what they really needed from their natural habitat, making sure to not let any fiber go to waste. Treating everyone equally, they did not care about money, wealth, expensive cars or corruptive banks and companies. Everybody had their duties in the clan, but they did not judge off of meaningless papers, bachelor titles or anything that would qualify a human for a job. Truthful, caring, a big blue family. That was what the omaticaya were. There was no greed for power, no yearning for a sudden status, no society classes. This place was simply perfect. You had this astonishing, mostly untouched environment all around you, had made some friends too and spent almost every day with them. There was nothing more to ask for. Nothing, really.
Nothing but a family.
You hadn't seen your mother in years. Nor your father, your siblings. There wasn't one sign of life. Sometimes it still tugged on your heartstrings. Especially when you saw the Sullys sitting together for dinner. Spider had always told you not to stare too long. He knew the pain since he was in a similar situation. It was always devastating to leave the Sullys in the evening, see them living together as a happy family when you and Spider had to return to the lab, your so called home, gulping down the loveless and plain, industrial made microwaved instant food before heading to your cold metal bunk bed, all alone.
Once again you walked deep into the forest, bringing Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk back to their home. Their parents had also just returned from a successful hunt, together with their oldest son. He was carrying the shot animal over his shoulders, greeting you with a smile. He was always relieved to see his siblings returning home in one piece.
Jake also greeted you shortly. "Hey kids, had fun?" he asked in english just before entering the marui they lived in and putting his bow down.
"It was good, yeah!" You answered quickly and watched how they all settled down and started to prepare their dinner.
Neytiri silently glanced at you and Spider, her eyes narrowed at the sight. Sky people were something she could probably never come to terms with. It always felt like a stab through the chest to see her almost disgusted and bitter visage. As if you and Spider personally were the enemy. With a frown you averted your eyes, feeling a hand on yout back soon after. It was Kiri, she tried to lift your mood with soft whispers. "You know she doesn't hate you. Don't take it to your heart, it's not you..."
"It still feels... shitty to say the least. You have your perfect little family and I-"
"Hey! No demon language in my home! You shouldn't be here in the first place!" Neytiri snapped at your words, making you stumble backwards with wide eyes.
Jake decided to chime in too and keep his wife back before anything could escalate. "Hey, she hasn't done anything. I started it, okay?"
The last thing you wanted was for them to fight over whether you belonged here or not so you took another step back.
"No, Neytiri is right. This is your family, not mine. You can be lucky to have each other around you every day, but I'm not a part of that. It's okay, I'll go. I'm sorry for coming here..."
~~~
A few days passed by ever since this had happened. You were avoiding the clan ever since, not wanting the Sully kids to get into trouble because of the time you usually spent with them. It lead you to simply stray through the forest by yourself until suddenly someone ripped you back by your shoulders. Before you could even scream you faced a bright smiling Neteyam, staring at you through the glass of your mask. This boy was seriously so silent you hadn't even noticed him until then.
"You're way too careless to wander through the forest by yourself, let me get you back." Once the shock was over, your pulse started to calm down again and he started to lead the way to the lab. Neteyam used the time to ask you a few questions about your family. Where they lived, how they lived, why they weren't here with you and so on. Since it was already getting late you decided to leave the explanations to another time. His sudden interest definitely hit you like a truck. These questions were simply unexpected but after what had happened a few days before he found himself rethinking your words. How was life without a family? Both of you agreed to meet the next day to give him answers to all of his questions. You had to sleep a night and gather your thoughts before you could answer all his countless questions.
~~~
Neytiri hated this idea. You here in her home, with her children, with some kind of sky people technology. As much as you could you tried to ignore her aggressive staring as you hugged your tablet with both arms, surrounded by the sully kids.
"So, your family is on earth right?" Neteyam started carefully, seeing how stressed you were. He did feel somehow guilty for getting you into this situation but it was only fair if they learned about you too.
You nodded at his question and looked up into the sky. Not that you could see the sky through the rainforest, but you still did it somewhat unintentionally. "Yeah, they are."
Kiri looked at Neteyam, Lo'ak and then at you before speaking "Can you see them? Over these video thingies?"
Oh that would be a dream. But it wasn't possible at all.
"No, sadly not."
"But hey, you still have us, don't you?" Lo'ak tried to lift the mood but Neytiris piercing look after his words made you feel anything from being one of them. You furrowed your brows, looking down onto your tablet.
"No..." you whispered barely audibly, voice becoming all shaky before words just started to spill from your lips.
"It's not the same. You have your own family. Mine lives far away, and as a matter of fact I don't even know if they are still alive. My planet is falling apart. I don't know if I'll ever see them again. I don't even know how many years have passed since I've seen my family and I'm also not sure if they would even recognize me or see me as their daughter anymore. Maybe they have forgotten me and i will probably never know. All i have- all the memories, they only feel like a distant dream. You come home to a meal made with love by your mother and sit together, sing songs, get hugged and whatever while I am alone in my bedroom wondering what my mom's voice sounds like cause I can't fucking remember!"
During your rant, all eyes had landed on you. Everybody looked shocked at your sudden outburst, even Neytiri. They all watched how your eyes filled with tears and soon after spilled over. The kids were too stunned to get a single word out while Neytiri slowly stepped closer, kneeling down next to you.
She placed a soft hand on your back and ran her delicate fingers along your spine while her eyes softened more and more.
"Do you...have any memories on there?" It surprised you when she switched to english, so you turned your head to her. Neytiri gestured towards the tablet and you hesitantly unlocked the device. Neteyam, Lo'ak, Kiri and also Tuk came closer to you, watching as you opened a file of pictures. After revealing the first image, you held the tablet a few more inches away so everyone could have a look.
"So..." you started quietly, feeling your heart squeeze at the mere look. Neytiri kept stroking over your back as the corners of your lips turned up into a sad smile.
"This is my sanok."
