i love kuri n aubreys story so much !! this is going to be a big boy ask sorry but there is so much i am curious abt :0 like what inspired u to create em n their stories, as well as like their personalities n such? what’s their fav/least fav things about each other? have they ever considered separating? is there anywhere i can find a full run-down of their story besides ur art? i know kuris issued but does aubrey have anything going on? also, where can i find out more abt their kids?

1: Kuri and Aubrey are like the vestigial remains of the fursonas we had when we were 11 who have completely changed overtime but the majority of their personality traits and experiences still mostly reflect our own (but they don’t reflect Us if that makes any sense)

2: Aubrey is obsessed with how endearingly stupid she is and Kuri loves that he doesn’t care how long it takes for her to understand something If At All and is very patient with her. Kuri doesn’t like that he still makes reckless choices with his career and Aubrey isn’t allowed to dislike anything about her or i would mount him on my wall

3: Aubrey had a moment of severe weakness and considered leaving to Get Milk when Kuri decided she wanted to keep their first baby for like 4 seconds only because they both had previously decided that they were to be child free and he ****Really***** Did Not Want to be a father lol

4: tbh i don’t have any plans on doing any longform pure lore comics and I’m not really like a Writer writer so the only information you’re going to get on any of them is whatevers in their individual character tags or the worlds worst comic tag 😭 or whatever one off tweets i shoot off into the abyss

Dean at the beginning of the episode and the end had different hairstyles and clothes, and seemed to be acting different.

Dean was very cagey about the truth. If this was another universe in the mulitverse, why not at least admit his name was Dean? He didn’t have to give his last name.

Lata was the one who suggested the multiverse theory. All Dean said was that he was ‘between worlds’. Didn’t mean it was another Earth. That he was dead and not of this world. He could have been of that world, when he was alive. But he’s neither alive or dead. He hasn’t been born and he’s also been dead.

Chuck is supposed to be powerless. How could Chuck have activated something like the akrida? He lost but not in a way that would have meant anything. His power wasn’t destroyed, it was transferred over. And if he did activate it, why zero in on Lebanon, KS in the 70s. This seemed way to focused on Dean then anything else.

Dean’s still meddling. He gave Mary the Colt and told her to use it on a ‘yellow-eyed demon’. I doubt that’s what Jack intended for him to do with it. And, in fact since Chuck is no longer at the wheel, why would Azazel even know about Mary unless she’s put between his crosshairs like Dean is doing? I don’t think that’s what Dean is intending but he’s only thinking about how to ‘improve’ this timeline.

There’s more to this story, clearly. More things Dean isn’t telling us nor the Scoobies. More things that were left unsaid and absent.

It’ll all come full circle in due time.

Well, I can't say I ship it, but I do find it interesting-- much like I find Bruce's other relationships interesting. It'd be tough not to, since in Punchline's own words:

Harley is the person to get closest to Joker emotionally other than Batman. And with the big disclaimer that this is all my personal opinion which I got specifically asked about, I'll put a slightly longer discussion of the subject under the cut.

To be honest, I dislike how Jarley has been reduced solely to the label of "abusive relationship", with Harley's own darker traits being swept under the rug or fully attributed to Joker's influence. Doctor Harleen Quinzell had her own demons and psychopathic tendencies, before ever meeting Joker; and it was a sense of deep loneliness that drove her to him, and which he exploited. At the end of the day, that does seem like what it amounted to, especially in the beginning... Harley feeling horribly alone, and latching onto Joker to fill that void, with Joker manipulating it and taking control. However, Joker would not have been able to take advantage of any kind of attachment if Harleen's own darkness didn't relate to Joker's own somehow.

And well, thing is... Joker, in his own way, cared about Harley. Put bluntly, he wouldn't have bothered to keep her around otherwise. It's a Black Label comic, but my mind always goes to this phrasing when thinking of Jarley:

"Crawled in each other's void." And Joker's void was Batman-shaped, just like she says. At this point it's been canonized again and again that Joker is in love with Batman, with Harley herself being the one to confirm it more than once... and it is fascinating how Batjokes and Jarley interact, most tragically when it comes to Harley. Because she was jealous of Batman and the hold he had over Joker's attention. Part of what kept her next to Joker, trying harder and harder to please him (like in Mad Love) was the hope that eventually, she could become as special to him as he was to her. She saw how human Joker could be about Batman, and wanted to nurture and help him turn it into something more, but in the end it probably became the most hurtful thing-- Joker being incapable of caring about anyone else but Batman, no matter how hard she tried or the things she endured.

...Anyway, Anon, to summarize, I do think Jarley is interesting :)) That being said, it's also annoying how it's being used to turn Joker into a one-dimensional cartoonishly evil abuser, ever since Harley's redemption arc began. Better writers could find ways to turn Harley into an anti-hero without bulldozing over previous characterization for her or Joker, but alas.

#this is part of why Joker War is very interesting to me too #Tynion so clearly had Batman Punchline and Harley at the forefront of the story #as three main relationships Joker has. each of them at different stages of having wanted something from him #Punchline in the beginning. Bruce in the middle. Harley at the end #and Harley being the one to try and talk Punchline and Bruce into leaving BECAUSE she's the one having had enough #...but it's wild how through the sheer nature of comics. Batman is essentially INCAPABLE of leaving Joker behind #DC will only stop telling their story when it stops selling and God knows when that'll happen #so Harley tells Bruce 'this story needs an ending' #and Bruce tries to walk away from Joker #but in the very next issue Bruce says 'Joker was right' and implements the lessons Joker tried to teach him #how's that an ending? it isn't and it can't be #aaaanyway. me and my brand of overthinking as usual #asks #batman #joker #jarley #batjokes #my meta

Guys, I read Flipped and I loved it.

#it’s very simple and yet the core is so good #it’s like the movie in that it’s a love story but the questions are about what kind of person you are #and who you want to be #I love that liking Juli is something Bryce admits only as he begins to realize how cowardly and cruel his dad is. #and how much he doesn’t want to be like his dad #and how it’s all intertwined with standing up to Garrett’s shallowness #and rejecting the social hierarchies of middle school lol #and I love that for Juli her struggle is to be consistent in her choices #and to try to turn away from Bryce if he IS actually as cowardly and cruel as he seems #she is not going to nurture something that is one-sided or based on an unreal image of a person! #she wants to be truthful above all else #but then I love that she doesn’t have to let go of Bryce #because he has chosen/is choosing to be something else #idk. It is a lot to me! #also I prefer the slightly less ambiguous ending of the movie #But I also didn’t totally mind the softness of the ‘let it hang in the air’ ending #because they are so young #I’m rambling but yeah. #flipped

He was in a strange room. He didn't recognize it.

Although he might've been able to place it if he could think a little clearer. He still felt partway asleep.

The traffic noise was coming from the other side of the wall.

It sounded like the room was near a busy road. Tires rolling across asphalt, the sound of old gas-powered engines. Those weren't the sounds of his own time.

But he must be somewhere in the human world, whenever he was.

With a grunt of effort, he put his hands beneath him and pushed himself to his knees.

The time spent confined to the thermos, unable to move, had weakened him more than he had realized.

But that was fine. He would regain his strength soon enough.

Standing, he decided he would get up and stretch his muscles, and have a look around to see where he was.

"That's far enough."

Dan spun around in surprise—then a horrible shock whited out his vision, his hands going to his neck as he fell back to the floor.

A... a collar?

The shock subsided, and he breathed heavily as his senses returned. He slowly rolled his eyes toward the one standing above him.

"You're probably wondering how you got here."

Dan glared as he continued to pant. No other part of his body was responding to his commands.

"I learned that Clockwork was holding some sort of weapon. Something even the Observants were fearful of... Something that shouldn't fall into the wrong hands."

Were they... talking about him?

"So, I decided to... relieve Clockwork of that responsibility. To my surprise, this 'ultimate weapon' turned out to be a ghost."

Dan could now twitch his fingertips. He deepened his glare.

"Lucky me."

Dan bared his fangs at—

Johnny and Peter are a great ship, I love them but like their friendship definitely isn't balanced. Johnny thinks about Peter way more than Peter thinks about Johnny. I think they could have a healthy relationship, but also I think Peter has a tendency to neglect Johnny in canon. WHICH IS INTERESTING! I hate a ship that's all sunshine and rainbows, I need them to have conflict! Johnny would be such a fantastic scorn lover, serving Peter divorce papers, god it'd be so cunt

and there's nothing wrong with spideypool in my opinion, but for some reason that app, especially dudebro fans, is just so fucking hostile towards spideypool specifically. The main reason is that it's a big target, it's the most popular spidey ship, but also some of the fans tend to be loudly wrong and it's so obvious that the fanon spideypool has no base in the comics. Which like also beef I have with spideypool, the fanon soft boy Peter and fanon...whatever the fuck is going on with Wade annoys me to no end. But the other reasons cited for spideypool hate were: Peter's underage (no, he's not), Wade is a predator (literally an SA victim, but also I kinda get what they mean his flirting is very forward but that's literally just how dudes flirt in comics, you're uncomfortable because it's directed at a man), Wade kills people (he was trying to get better but obviously he's deadpool, like obviously he's going to kill, and it's not like these fans have any issues with Harry), Peter and Wade would be a bad couple (that's why I like them, I want to see them torture each other), and people don't like Deadpool comics (not my problem).

you know, as time goes on, there are characters and storylines in DA that i really didn't vibe with at first but that i really like now. i got older, my tastes changed, the way i look at things in general has shifted.

but the one thing that i haven't evolved out of hating is fenris in the blue wraith comic. i hate it. i hate iiiiiiit. i hate the character writing. i dislike the art style. i loathe his haircut. i hate that rather than allow fenris to have demonstrated growth and think fondly of his time with his friends in kirkwall, they decided to have him go "people are nice until they don't need you and then they fuck off again", like, christ, did the writer not at minimum watched a handful of the shitbillion gameplay and cutscene and banter videos that fenris is in, like it's one thing if you get contracted to write this comic and you don't have time to play the game but it is not that hard to watch a couple youtube videos even if fenris is hawke's rival he makes friends regardless alkadsfkljhdasfew

i hate it so much that i genuinely hope that fenris doesn't appear in DA4, because i don't want to see this version of the character in a mainstream installment and i don't know how much communication there is wrt:characterization between the people writing the comics and the people who'd be writing his hypothetical cameo appearance in the game. let him stay in the comics where i can ignore him, please.
