Not exactly an Itafushikugi headcanon (is that how you spell it?), but the conversation in the last episode made me think of Megumi helping Yuji and Nobara with their homework because he is the only one with a brain cell smartest one among them.

He would have been reading in his room, his homework done a week ago, when Nobara and Yuji arrived like a carnival procession asking for help, because Nobara procrastinated until the last moment and Yuji completely forgot.

Megumi would roll his eyes and tell them to sort out their own shit, to be more responsible, however, when Nobara and Yuji give them double puppy looks, Megumi would eventually give in with a resigned sigh.

Cut to Gojo arriving at the common kitchen and finding his precious students sleeping surrounded by books and food packets, Megs sleeping with Nobara and Yuji lying on his shoulder.

Cut once again to Satoru rubbing the photo he took in the students' faces, with Nobara yelling about him being a "weird old man", Megumi complaining of back pain, and Yuji still drooling at the table (he later asked Satoru to send him the copy)

it’s seriously a missed opportunity to have sukuna be the first ten shadows user to actually tame mahoraga. it feels like all the time we’ve been cheering for megumi and seeing his growth becomes wasted because it’s through sukuna of all people who shows us the peak of the ten shadows technique. it feels unearned! yeah there’s a possibility that megumi is going to wake up better and stronger having learned his potential but man .. it probably won’t be comparable to seeing him and only him unlocking the other shadows, defeating mahoraga, and using TS to its full potential. nothing like the feeling of seeing him first cast his domain and see it become more refined or seeing him call onto a new shikigami. it’s like gege decided megumi’s not being cool enough fast enough so he gave it to sukuna to use against gojo since hey he should probably use that set-up because it’s now or never right … it’s such a waste.

jjk 208 was ok besides the yuki treatment (which makes it as a whole a big ol' fat stinker for me), but idk... How Gege handles deaths are very telling and built up but if Yuki is dead, then this is a dramatic shift in how Gege writes those who die. Plus, Garuda is an intertwined concept of the Phoenix and just disappeared this chapter. Maybe Yuki will rise from the ashes in some way
