Got my first display tab! And the first thing I tested it with is an anime Connie sketch lol.

Seems needed time to get used to, and I use more shortcut keys than the number of shortcut buttons on the tab; but I am already loving the it so far! My laptop, on the other hand, is not handling it too well. 😅

#I did kind of expect the laptop to act like it is right now. Which was another reason for buying a cheaper display tab to save up more on #a new laptop. #I got an Xp Pen 13 by the way! #It's looking great so far #The screen is much more closer to my face now tho. Lol #The colors come out different than both my laptop screen and cellphone. 🤔 #But I think the xp pen has too much red tint? #Anyway. I have to tuck the XP pen for the moment. Not just because I needed a better laptop. minor details, but in chapter 68 of trimax we do see this bit:

a "funbari doll" (which i cant find anything definite online about what that is with just a cursory look, so im going to run under the assumption that theyre some kind of collectable in-universe) & it's a red one, which is apparently rare. he still has the same pen radio that connects to his earring that's used waaay back on the sandsteamer. a swiss army knife, a random key, a used tissue (?), and...

a lighter? blow torch? i still cant tell what that last bar thing is tho. & i guess he had some kind of (normal) coin too? but Only One.

love the characterization implications for this lol. definitely the kind of pocket contents i'd expect from a silly immortal with a big coat

#drawing up a design that i can easily pattern from my sloper: 😊 #actually having to make the pattern by tracing and cutting ad infinitum: 😰 #piecing together printer paper to get a big enough sheet of paper and doing this ten million times: 🥲😭 #not to mention the IRONING.... prewashing the fabric and having to iron 8 yards of fabric???? excuse me???? #and then distorting it as i iron bc it has a slight stretch and i got so tired i stopped being careful 2 yards in #and the way that you're supposed to press every seam... excuse me... am i just supposed to have my iron heated and on standby at all times #AND THE STEAM??? i just got stay tape the other day and thought it'd be a neat alternative to stay stitching #BUT IT NEEDS STEAM TO ACTIVATE (which okay makes sense) BUT long story short i'm too afraid to use the steam function #on my iron because none of us are sure if water should go back into a tank that's been in disuse for 30+ years #so instead i get this water spray pen and delicately spray down the length of each piece of stay tape #before i cover it with a piece of gauze and iron it. and then i have to iron it extra so all the water actually evaporates #oh and the spray pen holds as much water as half a pen so i have to walk to the kitchen every 10 sprays to refill it #and i have to do this for every curved edge on my pattern pieces #i mean the alternative is just stay stitching but then i would have to calibrate my settings for a single layer of fabric instead of double #which means i have to switch my needle out more and i'm still new enough that sometimes i install a needles wrong despite going through #all the same exact motions that i usually would. i'm LITERALLY suffering out here. anyway can't wait to sew or whatever #oh and did i mention i went to a sewing meetup recently? yeah... #everyone there bought like $30-$100/yard fabric and i was there awkwardly knowing i only buy like $12/yard fabric #honestly though i have the opposite problem people usually joke about. i find it So hard to find fabric i actually like #it needs to be the right fiber + right color + right pattern/texture + right weight + i have to know exactly what i'm going to make with it

#they're all pretty different styles i like that #been trying to have more fun with my journals #wait nvm i did have a journal between the eye one and the sticker one but it was completely uncustomized and didn't last long #so we'll ignore that #i also fully didn't journal for like 2 weeks bc i had done the sketch for my new journal but didn't feel like painting it #and i didnt wanna write in a black plain journal again #that feels too functional and not.. like.. it doesnt encourage me to get creative with it #anyways #turns out i had some metallic pens hiding somewhere so i used that #been feeling in a wolfy mood #i'm sad with how scuffed the stickers on my previous journal #which extra sucks cuz the letters are from bumper stickers what do you mean they're the least durable stickers i had #but oh well they were free anyways. and it kinda looks cool gives it a more well worn feel #makes the three ish months i spent carrying it around with me everywhere visible so that's nice #i really like my journals i like journaling so much #like my journals are not aesthetic whatsoever they're very practical and chaotic but i like that about them #i feel like journaling like. placebo relieves the pressure in my brain #i do not have an internal monologue i have an internal cacophony it's like a fucking assemblée générale in there #so writing it all down is very soothing to my brain and painful to my wrists #it just feels like writing is the only time my thoughts can be interpreted and even if they're going in a thousand directions they're still #easier to follow than just. thinking #and then i can surround my thoughts with doodles and receipts and shit #or a strand of my own hair #that is something that is actually in one of the journals pictured abov #anyways why am i ranting down here i've got a new journal to fill #you know what i'm tagging this #journaling #cuz i think my journals are cute and ppl should see them i'm really proud of them #even though a lot of this is stickers i still feel like it looks real cute #doodles

Sounds like a name for a Leprechaun- #Everything was a lost cause after that lol #Gosh it feels like forever since I stretched my character creation muscles lol - I'm pleased with him! :D #I started with a more stereotypical Leprechaun look but still with the little ponytail and piercing haha #I think I'd like him to grow into a full Amish beard at some point but Not Yet - still a bit on the young side #He's like?? oddly Sans-esque in a way I can't quite pin down??? I didn't intend that lol #I was hoping to get something more like a young Bilbo Baggins but I'm not complaining haha #He's a bit on the rough side ♪ Green crop-cut leather jacket with pins and patches hehe #Really exerting myself on the colours this time as well haha - he's like halfway to full colour!
