A startrail I shot from Ship Rock last weekend. What an awesome little place. I ended up having to mask out a lot of the foreground in a few frames because of all the traffic that was driving by. I planed to have picture of city submerged in cloud sea like a city in the sky, but the cloud was gone when I reached to the top. But it was still beautiful to see the star move above the glowing city, for the time I did this photo it was freezing at top of the mountain in spring.

I'm starting a series of drawings where I introduce some stuff about my story, Startrails! (Which is still in development hsjdfh)

In this I wanted to introduce an ability that one of the fictional races in my story has that's unique to them. They're called Umbrals and they're moth-like shadow beings that can shapeshift and blend into darkness.

Text transcript:

Shadeshifting is an Umbral's ability to transform into intangible shadows. With this they can navigate through darkness with ease.

While in this form, Umbrals can slip through narrow spaces and blend into the shadows.

However, if they're exposed to direct light, they're forced back into their solid forms.
