Spyro x Purple Dragon GN Reader Headcanons

Thought I’d start making some more headcanons that weren’t requested, but to try and get some interest! This is TLOS version of Spyro

Spyro met you not long after becoming an adult, he had heard rumours from the Guardians that there was another purple dragon spotted somewhere near the cheetah village

He went off to find you, incredibly curious and excited to finally meet another purple dragon like him, hoping that you weren’t evil or at the very least corrupted

When your eyes met, you both froze in awe, unsure what to think of each other, since you knew you had special powers, but didn’t know there was another like you out there due to being alone in the valley most of your life

Spyro introduced himself politely and got your name down, then asked, “how long have you been here for? I have never seen another purple dragon my age before, nor one that is not corrupted by darkness.”

You return with “I have lived here for most of my life, practicing magic on my own but trying to hide from other creatures.” You told him how you thought you were alone, and had seen other dragons, but didn’t see any that looked like you

After months of bonding over being the same type of rare dragon, Spyro trains you in your abilities and shows you new powers you didn’t know you had.

After knowing each other for a while, you notice that Spyro makes small excuses to nuzzle up to you or be close to you as he was showing you things

There was gossip around the other dragons, including the Guardians, that the two of you were going to end up a couple

One day Spyro asked you to his favourite location, just the two of you, and said he had something important to ask you

He starts off with, “Y/n, I know we’ve been friends for a while, but I was wondering…” his cheeks went bright red and you could see him getting shy

“Are you alright, Spyro?” You ask, nudging his chin with your paw, stroking his face for a moment which made him blush even more

“Would you like to… be my mate?” Spyro averted his eyes for a moment before staring into your own eyes with pure emotion, and you could tell he was trying not to get emotional

You blushed yourself when he asked, and was stunned for a moment, trying to think of what to say

You chuckled for a moment, then nodded your head and nuzzled his cheek, which made him close his eyes and almost purr in excitement

“Of course Spyro. You mean so much to me.” There was little else to say now, all you both wanted was to be together

Captain Gill Grunt! The most fearsome pirate to roam the seas of Skylands!

The first of Mirror of Mystery Skylanders! Captain Gill Grunt is the most vile pirate captain in all of Skylands, plundering and conquering as he pleases with his armada of ships. Although his biggest hobby remains hunting the great sea-creatures of Skylands. All of his ships are decorated with their bones and other nice looking extremities, and he takes particular pride in his big list of species that he has poached into extinction. His most prized possesion though, remain the many mermaid wifes he has accumulated over the years. All of them have willingly made the choice to wed him, of course wink

Making this post now, I do realise that maybe I should think about changing these characters names, as "Gill Grunt" doesn't quite fit him now that he's a pirate. Something to think about for later.

Headcanon! Spyro and Cynder are both socially awkward with other dragons their age, due to the fact they live away from other Dragon societies besides the Guardians. So I imagine them having no idea what to say to their fans.

Ember: You guys saved the world! You’re heroes!

Drew the three dorks as kids then grown

I talked a little about these three being childhood friends but I got more stuff to talk about

-So some headcanons: I have this idea of the professor babysitting Hunter and Elora and He would bring them along with him while he traveled to different realms. Enchanted towers was one of them there they met a shy little purple kid that was about their age.

This would be where Professor learns about the creatures that once roamed the forgottenland YEARS ago called Dragons. He would write notes down and even get a book about them.

What the House of the Dragon men would think of Spyro the Reignited Trilogy

Aemond Targaryen

Would absolutely adore it. Kinda kins Spyro, would never admit it. Feels like everyone underestimates him so also desperately wants to prove himself (and just like Spyro, tends to be a bit arrogant so the underdog angle feels hard to get behind). Never completed any of the games because he didn't want it to truly end.

Aegon Targaryen ii

Likes it well enough, casually 120% the first game just to prove he could. Does not do that with the other two. Couldn't get behind the skateboard bullshit. Never touched it again.

Jacaerys Velaryon

Wishes there was a game focusing solely on Sparx. Thinks the little buddies in video games don't get enough time to shine. Uses the fact that Sparx grabs the gems for Spyro as proof that they really missed the mark as who the real hero is. Also completed every game because he started and simply could not play anything else until he was done.

Lucerys Velaryon

Luke is a little shit. 10/10 knows this and that's why HE kins Spyro. Flexes on Jace for beating the games in less time (completely and also earning all the achievements/trophies in less than 18 hours and no he did not take a break). Tells Aemond to stop being a loser and find the last two gems he needs.

Criston Cole

Only plays it because he felt bad that none of the others would hang out with Aemond. Could not tell you anything about the game except that the dragon is purple.

Daemon Targaryen

Only plays "real" games like Halo or Call of Duty (Laena and Rhaenyra roll their eyes at the fact he buys the latest consoles for literally two games).

Viserys Targaryen

Vizzy T. has more important things to do than playing video games. Doesn't even know how to turn off the damn thing.

Otto Hightower

Kinda the same as Viserys, but uses the consoles as his way to watch Netflix.

Harwin Strong

Dude played them when they were originally being released. Played the remastereds. Uses this as flexing point for the kids. Plays everything. The reason Jace and Luke even know anything about video games.

Laenor Velaryon

Prefers cozy games like Stardew Valley and Coral Island. Can't get into Spryo.

Corlys Velaryon

Just like Otto. But watches videos of vehicle crashes on YouTube, not Netflix.

Daeron Targaryen

Would play secretly on Aemond's saves just to drive him crazy. Would not progress at all, merely just change where Aemond had been so the next time Aemond boots it up he's confused. Only ever gets caught by Luke. Luke would then suggest they start a new save file and complete all the games, leaving it running, as to give Aemond a stroke.

I think each elder dragon in Spyro have their own specialty or occupation. Even though Delbin, Gildas, and Nevin are all artists, they each have their own art style and use different mediums.

Goldenice Traditions Lore

This was inspired by a small Cuphead Christmas roleplay I did with Nataliepthatsme. I know it’s just September but I thought I wrote this down for the fun of it while I remember. 😅 And it the holiday is based on a TLoS fa comic I had read on Deviantart last year by. It’s so charming and magical.

The Dragons celebrate a festive holiday in the winter similar to Christmas known as “Goldenice”, a holiday that symbolises the importance of their unity. Much like Christmas, Goldenice has several holiday traditions.

One of festive traditions is kissing under the mistletoe. When both dragons who are deeply in love kiss under it, their scales shine brightly.

Crystal Dragons, while their scales also glow, their feathery wings will often have the star-like sparkles streaking across them like shooting stars while kissing their mates under the mistletoe.

Much like Christmas, Dragons exchange gifts to one another to symbolise good will and affection.

Gold and blue decorations are hung, and a special Fire Dragon and Ice Dragon are chosen to the Goldenice in a giant basin.
