Why are all white college kids a hivemind? I don't go to the gym, I don't drink coffee, I don't care about your opinion of pineapple on pizza, Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute are horrible people, I don't want to hear about Harry Potter, you're not a nerd for loving Marvel or Star Wars which are the two largest and most mainstream media franchises on the planet, sarcasm isn't quirky (especially if you have to bring it up like it's a core character trait), and putting "moderate" or "apolitical" in your bio in this day and age makes you sound like an undercover cop.
It's like they have no original thoughts, it's all just memes, verbatim call and response memes. I am adrift in a sea of NPCs who share one dialogue tree. Oh, your favorite song is a 1980s one-hit wonder that just so happens to be on the Stranger Things soundtrack? You like to quote Spongebob AND Vine? 9 times out of 10 if someone says "food is the way to my heart" they'll follow it up by mentioning tacos; 2011 called...
There have to be real human beings in there somewhere.

Some Panam imagines because she’s awesome.
(SPOILERS)
I like to think that thanks to Johnny, V can now shred it on guitars like a pro without the former taking over. I laugh at the idea of V being hyped up to sing at the campfire and then singing Ripped Pants from Spongebob which makes Panam spit out her drink and laugh into fetal position.
Continuing the Virtuouso V headcannon, V is called to the campfire to sing again which has Panam expecting another silly song. Only this time V dedicates a spoof song to her they dub as “Let Me Drive My Tank Into Your Heart.” Bonus points to yall who know the original song.
If V and Panam were to ever have a dedicated song, platonic or romantic, it would be “Never Was a Love Like Mine” from Mad Monster Party. This song’s lyrics remind me of how much Panam cares for V. This would be a nice slow dance song for the two.
V and Panam often wear each others jackets. It just sort of happened one day and all the other Aldecaldos found it endearing.
If V is a former Nomad, then it’s harder for Panam to convince V to become an Aldecaldo because they are wary of losing another clan/family.
I think Panam would like the soundtrack to Bat Out of Hell and would dominate karaoke with “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”
If you had befriended Panam, Judy, Kerry, and River then these chooms should have been in the audience of the final fight in Beat on the Brat. The idea of V’s friends being their cheerleaders is funny. Panam would be the one cheering for V the loudest, even screaming the famous words “GRAB HIS DICK AND TWIST IT.”
An alternative to how Phantom Liberty ended instead of losing Panam: V takes precautions of telling Reed to inform all their friends about V’s whereabouts after the operation LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE. If V Romanced Panam, then they would wake up the Aldecaldo’s newest camp with Panam and Reed by their side. Immediately Panam is kissing V all over then Reed explains the whole thing where V can’t use combat chrome anymore. Panam immediately reassures V that she’ll take care of them. Then she brings V out to a bbq where all of their friends are waiting to finally greet V as they begin their new life with the Aldecaldos and Panam. I LIKE HAPPY ENDINGS DAMMIT.

I often think about how perfect The Spongebob Squarepants Movie's soundtrack is. Both the original songs made by various bands for the movie and the licensed tracks they got for it. Literally not a single skip on that thing. It's a vibe we'll never get from any movie ever again and that pains me on an emotional level.

Quick question for you, from someone who also loves both TMBG and old-school Sims - was there ever an instrumental of "Snowball in Hell" in any of those games?
I heard the original for the first time last week, and I swear I've heard an instrumental version in a game somewhere. I played a lot of Sims 2 and 3 as a kid, so they seem the likeliest culprits. Any ideas? Xx
no "snowball in hell" in there unfortunately! just their simlish version of "take out the trash", and an arrangement of the neighbourhood theme for the freetime expansion pack. there could definitely be something like an indie/flash game that's used it, tho, if that sounds familiar to anyone!
this might be a long-shot guess but, were there other games you played that had soundtracks with prominent accordion/accordion-like instruments? like animal crossing wild world / city folk, or maybe even this spongebob one?

Making a list of the songs associated with SpongeBob SquarePants... because why not?
Blow The Man Down - This traditional sea shanty from England finds itself the basis for the show's entire theme song.
Drunken Sailor - This melody has found itself as background music on the show, including for title cards and with scenes involving the Krusty Krab
Living in the Sunlight; Tiny Tim - Played during the climax and ending of the pilot episode; Help Wanted
I Wanna Rock; Twisted Sister - Parodied as "Goofy Goober Rock" in the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
You Better Run; Motorhead - Played during the Thug Tug scene in the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, appears on the soundtrack as "You Better Swim"
Just A Kid; Wilco - Played during the end credits of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, made for the film soundtrack. Instrumental plays as the main music for the title menu of the DVD
Sweet Victory; David Glen Eisley - Part of this song was played at the end of the episode "Band Geeks", and the entire song played during the end credits of the game "SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake". Also, requested to be played at the 2019 Super Bowl Half-Time Show in honour of Stephen Hillenburg, who passed away the year prior
Sicko Mode; Travis Scott - Was introduced by SpongeBob characters at the 2019 Super Bowl Half-Time Show
Ocean Man; Ween - Played at the end of the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. Was also performed by the band as tribute to Stephen Hillenburg
A House Is Not a Home; Dionne Warwick - Parodied as "This Grill Is Not a Home" in the episode "Welcome to the Chum Bucket"
Alone Again (Naturally); Gilbert O'Sullivan - Reminiscent to the song "Gary's Song" in the episode "Have You Seen This Snail?"
Be True To Your School; The Beach Boys - Inspired, and partially parodied in, the song "Ripped Pants" in the eponymous episode.
Livin' La Vida Loca; Ricky Martin - Played in the movie "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run" (I think this movie was trying to be Shrek)
O Tannenbaum / O Christmas Tree - Parodied as "Oh, Krusty Krab" in the episode "Truth or Square"
Long Gone Lonesome Blues; Hank Williams - Parodied as "I Wanna Go Home" in the episode "Texas"
Take On Me; A-ha - Covered by Weezer during the end of the movie "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge On The Run". Originally released on the Weezer Album "Weezer (Teal) in 2019"
The Sailor's Hornpipe - Melody used as background music

Add more if you wish.

Pony in the Studio: The Music of “It’s Pony”
Tumblr media
Wow, uh, this is the first ever music review I ever wrote! And although I love music and have been listening to it all of my life – and also amassed a huge vinyl and CD collection – even still it might be hard for me to do at least a great review/retrospective because I’m not really an expert on doing such. But as a fan of and very supportive of one of my favorite animated series, I do think its music is a very underappreciated aspect of it, and that’s why I want to bring attention to it.
It’s Pony has a great underscore and also at times delves into various sounds and even different music genres, thanks to its composer Mike Rubino.  The central themes for the series often use twangy country music considering that the stars of the series, Annie and Pony and their family, are farmers and run an urban farm. Its laid back nature gives off a soothing vibe. This also applies to the series’ theme song, composed and performed by Jon Wygens. Some of the biggest and most popular Nicktoons, from Ren and Stimpy to SpongeBob SquarePants to The Loud House, mainly use stock music that you may hear in other series. It’s Pony’s music, by contrast, gets creative and fits the mood and scenes which will be explained later. And the best part: it’s performed by live musicians. (Another great example of a Nicktoon using live musicians for a series underscore is Harvey Beaks, which utilized a Seattle-area symphony orchestra.)
Some time after I noticed the series’ music and fell in love with it, I was asking for Nickelodeon to release a soundtrack album. I thought that considering that It’s Pony wasn’t as popular as the most popular Nicktoons that receive several soundtrack releases. But lo and behold, Nick actually did it, first with It’s Pony – The Best of Season 1, released in November 2021! Again, I thought they wouldn't do it, but was still surprised that they did. Nick followed up with It’s Pony – The Best of Season 2 in May 2022 during the day of the series finale. I think these releases were being done because in recent months Nickelodeon announced that they’re returning to the music business full time with soundtrack and single releases and original artists. They later signed a deal with UMG Recordings and the releases will be licensed to UMG label Republic’s newly created Republic Kids and Family division. Before the deal, Nick had independently released some soundtracks, EPs and single releases at an increasing rate from properties including The Loud House, Middlemost Post, The Barbarian and the Troll, and It’s Pony, presumably to test the waters.  The network had a record label called Nickelodeon Records many years ago. However, Nick never promoted the It’s Pony albums, leaving fans like me to promote the album and trying to have as many people to be aware of their existence. The releases themselves are just that good.
As mentioned earlier, the music of It’s Pony features songs and the score of various genres and feels and they are also greatly represented on the albums. They range from the silly and whimsical (“Magic Annie” from the episode of the same name), to funk (“Love at Fish Sight”, from “School Dance”), to line dancing (“Line Dance of Destruction” from “Never Take Advice from a Pony”), to boogie (“Holiday Boogie” from “Bramley Holiday”), to video game music (“Scatterblood Gutloose” from “Game Pony”), to powerful (“Hero Horse” from “Bad Chicken), to heroic (“Unlikely Heroes” from “The Wallet”), to swing (“Get Yourself to Pickleton”, from “Annie’s Voice”), to the mysterious (“Lakey Loos”, from “The Lakey Loos”), to techno (“Underground Dance Off”), to spooky (“Night-Mares” from “Scarecrow”), and everywhere in between. (That’s a lot!) That’s pretty much the main reason why I love the music of It’s Pony – there’s something for every mood or scene. And I’m a music lover, so I really appreciate all the hard work that totally paid off!
Here’s what I feel are the best tracks from the two albums:
Tumblr media
It’s Pony – The Best of Season 1
“It’s Pony Theme”, “Tails and Noses”, “Hero Horse”, “Magic Annie”, “Roll with Me”, “Holiday Boogie”, “Idea Cakes”, “Evil Dog’s Good Plan”, “Unlikely Heroes”, “Let’s Wrap This Up”
Tumblr media
It’s Pony – The Best of Season 2
“Song of the Soil”, “The Fingers Song”, “The Toes Song”, “Country Livin’”, “Lakey Loos”, “Beeware”, “City Life”, “Come Home”, “Underground Dance Off”
Season 1’s album has a mix of songs and score throughout, while season 2’s album starts with songs first then the scores. Note that the titles for both albums contain the words “best of” as not all scores from every episode appear. I’m kinda disappointed realizing that the music from “Annie vs. Pony” that’s so boss when Pony battles his “pet” is not on season 2’s album, and I may have forgotten a few others.
It’s Pony – a wonderful series with wonderful music! I’m glad that there are albums from the animated series.  Nickelodeon may not do this, but although I have digital downloads of both I would love to see a vinyl release. Maybe the discs will be colored vinyl!
If you haven’t checked out the albums yourself – and maybe perhaps the series itself – give it a listen!

"Nickelodeon VS. Cartoon Network Olympic Games" Video Game idea
You may remember about a month ago, Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav wanted to have Warner Bros. be sold to Paramount, which actually stirred up an interesting, yet controversial buzz. While most people never wanted this merger to happen, I was one of the few people who didn't mind if it'll happen or not (ultimately it didn't, since Nickelodeon would later confirm that they don't trust David Zaslav.). But even before this supposed merger was announced, I had my own idea for something that may be risky, but could potentially work (since it technically isn't the first time Warner Bros. collaborated with Paramount on certain projects.).
If you've ever played at least one entry in the "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" series, I was thinking of an Olympic video game where animated characters from Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon go head-to-head for the gold.
CONCEPTUAL TITLE
"Nickelodeon VS. Cartoon Network Olympic Games"
ESRB RATING
E10+
GAMEPLAY
Like "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games", you can play as your favorite Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network characters past and present (with maybe the Nintendo version having an exclusive feature where you can play as your Miis). It's basically a mini-game collection, but themed after the Olympics. You can even pair certain characters into teams or imagine limitless possibilities like "Who would be the best Equestrian jockey between SpongeBob and Lazlo?", or "Who would win a fencing match between Dudley Puppy and Kitty Katswell if they went up against Prohyas and Vambre Warrior?" or "Whose team would win at ice curling between Timmy Turner or Mac?", or any other sort of teamup you can put your mind at.
SPORTS
You can play Olympic sports the normal way or like the Dream Events in "Mario and Sonic", some Olympic sports will be altered to match the style of Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network shows (ex. "Mumbo Jumbo Jump Rope" being the jump rope mini-game themed off of "Chalkzone" in rules and gameplay.)
There can even be some original dream events like flying races similar to Track and Field, but you fly in the sky instead of run on the ground.
PLAYABLE CHARACTERS (AND POSSIBLE DLC CHARACTERS)
From Nickelodeon I would choose anyone from "Doug" (unless "Doug" is still currently under Disney) to either "Middlemost Post" or "Big Nate".
From Cartoon Network I would choose anyone from "Dexter's Laboratory" to either "Mighty Magiswords" or "Craig of the Creek" or maybe even "Infinity Train" (depending on your view, unless they can be saved as DLC characters).
For in-game characters, I wanted to keep an even number between both sides. On this page for my idea, I had 32 each, for a total of 64 playable characters. This could be changed depending on if more characters should be added.
NON-PLAYABLE CHARACTERS
In general
One thing I should make clear is that the characters from "The Loud House" and "The Casagrandes" will not be playable due to both shows being made under Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon at the same time, but they'll still have stuff to do. Lincoln for instance appearing in each menu as your guide. In the games, he and his friend, Clyde will commentate the events in the game. As far as Lincoln's sisters, Luna, I was thinking should sing in the game's opening cutscene that would play before the "Press Start" screen comes on (Whatever Luna sings would also be available on the game's soundtrack). But there's more I had planned in the next couple of sections.
Additional supporting Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network characters will also be unplayable, with some being featured in the audience, and others participating as cheerleaders, coaches, referees, or health providers for each team.
Coaches
Coaches tell the player how an Olympic competition is done and how to use the buttons. In the options menu (or somewhere else like that), you can choose between who should coach the team they'd like to make. Depending on which coach you select, they can give you certain tips, or explain the rules in their style.
On the Nickelodeon side, I would pick Larry the Lobtser ("SpongeBob SquarePants") and Jorgen Von Strangle ("The Fairly OddParents")
I don't know who would coach the Cartoon Network team, but Lynn Loud ("The Loud House") could work for both sides.
Healthcare Providers
Healthcare providers check your progress in-game. They also recommend certain Olympic events to help build muscle (assuming you have the Nintendo port, and if its console has motion control support.).
On the Nickelodeon side, I would pick Dr. Nora Wakeman ("My Life as a Teenage Robot") and Keswick ("T.U.F.F. Puppy").
On the Cartoon Network side, I would have Professor Utonium ("The Powerpuff Girls").
And on both sides, I would have Lisa Loud ("The Loud House").
I don't know what else would be done, but this is all I can think of. For more information, just click here.

HI ELIZA i’ve been rewatching the old spongebob seasons one by one and i was just wondering - what would you say would be your favorite pre-first movie SB episode and why? hope you’ve been doing well!
SAMMMMMM!!! it is SUCH A DELIGHT TO HEAR FROM YOU MY FRIEND i hope YOU’VE been doing well too!! THIS IS SUCH A FUN AND GOOD IDEA i REALLY need to do that myself!! i used to be good about watching an episode every day before starting work but have been getting lazy… it feels nice to watch things in non-animatic form LOL BUT UMMMM
this is SO HARD it’s so hard to narrow it down!! i GOTTA go with Texas though—i LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK. country musician Junior Brown provided his original soundtrack (AND I FOUND THE MUSIC TO THIS SCENE!! this scene right here is my favorite sequence in all of SpongeBob i have such a fond attachment to it and i was so happy when i discovered the song a few months ago. that he got to slip in a sample of his own original music is so sweet!) which makes it very unique right off the bat, and steel guitars are one of my very favorite instruments. i grew up listening to a lot of old country like Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Hank Snow, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, etc etc and i still am very much a lover of old country for that reason, and i have a VERY strong nostalgic attachment to that sort of music/steel guitars. SpongeBob i have an equally strong nostalgic attachment to because it was ALL. I. WATCHED. AS. A. CHILD. i’m talking 8 hours a day every day i never ever missed a single episode up until i was around 14 or 15. it is ingrained in my DNA so to have those two nostalgic factors is a very strong NOSTALGIA BOMB to start—and that Sandy’s song is a direct parody of a Hank Williams song is even better! Hank’s one of my favorite musicians of all time so i LOVE IT
I THINK IT HAS A GREAT BALANCE OF HUMOR AND SINCERITY… i don’t even love it for the gags so much as i do its earnesty, but the gags are all VERY FUNNY whether it’s as blunt as “NO I’M TEXAS” or as subtle as a banner saying “HAPPY TEXAS” in the background. i think it’s a very heartwarming cartoon on top of that and has some GORGEOUS visuals—Vincent Waller who storyboarded the episode draws some insanely cute Sponges and i’m still a huge fan to this day.
IT’S JUST LIKE. the ULTIMATE comfort episode. it’s one of the only episodes of a show i have downloaded to my phone that i paid money for because i love it so much. i think it’s unique, it’s one a lot of people rightfully remember, and it has such this strong warmth to it and a great message of togetherness and i just REALLY admire it as a whole, coming from someone who works with these characters daily and their CREATORS daily! i really respect and admire what went into it.
(runners up would be Ripped Pants because it was my favorite as a kid and i would watch it on loop to a very obsessive degree, Plankton! because I Love Plankton, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II because it’s super nostalgic to me as well and i adore the drawing style, Bubble Buddy, Christmas Who, and The Algae’s Always Greener)

If Nicktoons Unite was Remastered
If Nicktoons Unite was remastered? Or maybe a reboot that featured more characters and worlds... - It would be in the style of Marvel Ultimate Alliance (2006) or maybe Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order (2019) with more engaging levels, more fluid combat, team combos and better original soundtrack (OST) - It already featured the worlds and characters from SpongeBob SquarePants, Fairly OddParents (2001-2017), Danny Phantom (2004-2007), and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2002-2006). But what if it featured more worlds and characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender (Or The Legend of Korra), My Life As A Teenage Robot, Loud House, Invader Zim, (Rise of the) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and much more! - Unlockable characters old and new, skill trees, bonus stages, and a New Game+ - Would you like to see Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Timmy Turner, and SpongeBob SquarePants teaming up with Aang, Jenny Wakeman (XJ9), Invader Zim, and Lincoln Loud!? - It might be the same ol' storyline, but what if it got extended with more characters and worlds? Or maybe an entirely, different storyline for the reboot? - It'll be developed by Raven Software (Marvel Ultimate Alliance (2006) and the Call of Duty games) and/or Team Ninja (Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: Black Order, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, and the Dead or Alive games)
