A little what if with Splinter as a spider Yokai. Smaller than Big Mama and with more back problems. Do you guys like it? Want more of this?

When Splinter was being kidnapped by Draxum gargoyles Big Mama was there to reclaim what was hers. Unfortunately for her Lou Jitsi got away not before without leaving him with a reminder in the form of a fatal injury in Lou's back.

This let Jitsu vulnerable to Huginn along with Muninn to take him to Barom Draxum. His little ninja rat had escaped from them leaving him completely alone.

When it was about time to mute the turtles and Lou was splashed with mutagen he could almost not bear the pain as the combination of the old Yokai DNA and mutage triggered an effect that cause immense pain coming from the inside.

From the bottom of his legs to the top of his head every part became a resemble of a spider.

When he finally got away with the new mutated baby turtles Lou could finally see what he had transformed into and from the horror, he almost ended up passing out...

Yet, he could not just stay there on a desolate street, he now has 4 baby turtles to take care of, despite his horrible appearance, his sons seemed to like him and even wanted to climb his back.... oh yea his back was still full of blood.

I feel like DDMG Splinter would have a lot of hobbies.

Like there's gardening and the Lair ends up having chickens, so he looks after them during the day.

He knows how to make weapons, so smithing is another hobby. The Lair has so, so many weapons. Some of the equipment he uses is stuff the members of the parents group got him, others were offerings from supernatural beings wanting to enter his territory. Imagine Splinter's surprise when he went outside one day to find several yokai dropping off an anvil.

(Those yokai were given some honey and milk as a thank you.)

He also gets into knitting and crotchet - Socorro taught him and Raph how to do it, so sometimes those three will sit down in her living room and work on projects.

Splinter also still remembers how to sew, so teaches himself how to embroider.

Wood working and carpentry is another thing he decides to take up. The deer will also drop stuff off at the house sometimes, and after he broke his leg it carried a branch to the house and then screamed to get Splinter's attention.

(This is a really nice gesture. Splinter still wishes the deer could have done it when he wasn't napping within view of the window.)

That branch ended up becoming his cane.

The deer did something similar when he was figuring out how to make the turtle's their weapons. Making Donnie's bo staff may have been what got him into woodworking in the first place.

He just has a lot of free time, so tries to fill it with as much stuff as possible. He always has at least 6 half-finished projects on the go, and the second he finishes one he comes up with another. He likes to always have something to work on, because if he doesn't then he starts thinking about stuff he doesn't want to.

In fixing up the Lair, he and Donnie figure out plumbing. Although Splinter wouldn't call that a hobby, more something he has to do sometimes to keep the house in working order. If one of the other parents say their sink is acting up though, he's happy to offer to help.

He has technically done some electrical work on the house too, in that he did the thing whilst Don and Casey told him what to do, because Splinter isn't going to die if he messes up and gets electrocuted.

I’ve had this au in my brain for months now and only recently drew for it so I’m here to add to the pile of rise aus haha

It’s the standard separated au but my version B) - Donnie grew up with Splinter, Leo stayed with Draxum, Raph ended up at the battle nexus and Mikey was left to roam the streets of the Hidden City.

Donnie: The most mentally stable of the brothers somehow. He was raised in the sewers with splinter, and even though he did receive care, splinter still couldn’t really provide much in terms of affection. Despite that they still love each other, even if distantly. He’s chronically online. He knows every vine ever and plays fps games a lot yes I made him a gamer. He and April are extremely close in this au, having met at a young age and April being the closest thing Donnie has to a sibling until finding his brothers. Splinter also refuses to tell Donnie anything to do with mutants/yokai, or even where they came from, much to Donnie’s dismay. Without his brothers and their antics, he doesn’t get out much, and hasn’t made a battle/protective shell for himself yet.

April: She and Donnie met in early childhood and were practically inseparable, them both being only children, and they basically became each other’s annoying sibling. She’s the only reason Donnie came out of his shell (heh) and she likes to take him onto the surface streets for shenanigans.

Leo: Huguinn pulled Leo from the wreckage of Draxum’s lab and was raised in the rebuilt lab. Draxum genuinely didn’t expect the turtles to come out as literal infants after mutation so it’s a miracle Leo even survived this long lol. (Huguinn and Muninn did most of the work tbh) Draxum considers Leo to be a biproduct/fragment of a failed experiment and uses Leo more as an errand boy than anything else. Because of that Leo’s and Draxum’s relationship is also distant. Leo acts nonchalant and sarcastic for the most part, but he can’t help but want to please Draxum. Leo knows about his brothers and even tried looking for them early on, but eventually gave up. He and Donnie meet first. Also he sneaks out to get pizza at Hueso’s when he’s bored.

Raph: His and Mikey’s stories start out intertwined. They both ended up in the hidden city and lived out the early years of their lives there. When he was around 7 years old, Mikey being 5, Raph was taken as a contestant for a battle royale at the nexus, composed entirely of young yokai. (The battle nexus is quite literally a gladiator ring where contestants kill one another) Raph was taken due to his large size, and after managing to survive the battle royale, Big Mama allowed him to stay and become a fully fledged fighter at the nexus. He moved his way up in rank and became one of the top Nexus champions under the stage name, The Beast. He’s soft spoken and quick to anger at first, having received so little friendly interactions.

Mikey: He and Raph lived in the hidden city together until Raph was taken when he was around 5 years old. After that he was basically left to fend for himself. He survived via stealing and living on rooftops and alleys Aladdin style. He’s incredibly agile and a master pickpocket. He even made a name for himself in the district where he lives as the local thief. This, however, hasn’t dampened his spirits at all and he’s just as bright and bubbly as ever. He loves anything and everything to do with art and often does graffiti wherever he can. He’s an avid battle nexus fan and watches the battles whenever he can ( Leo is also a huge fan).

I’ve legitimately had this au in my head for months and this isn’t even close to everything I’ve conjured up but I had to make something for it or else I’d explode. Despite there being a lot of room for angst in this au, I imagine it as more lighthearted and similar to the show in terms of comedy. If you read this far congrats and give me your strength please

"Life Mission: Save My Brothers" is a Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles separated AU (alternate universe) where it explores on the concept that Splinter saved only one turtle after the mutation process: Leo. The other turtles are separated in the world: Raph was brought to and raised by Big Mama to be a Battle Nexus Champion, Mikey was taken by Draxum and trained to become a warrior to combat humans for the Yokai to take over the surface, and Donnie was thought to be dead but was taken in by a mob until he ran away and found Big Mama at the age of 7. Their story involves their process of finding out that they are not alone, that they have family, and how they reunite and become the ninjas they were always meant to be.

Quiet Your Mind (Fanfic) 🌌

15 years into the Krang invasion and everything is going south: food was running low, everyone had to take multiple shifts in multiple jobs, and almost everyone is missing a family member. Mikey's mystic powers haven't developed fully and Donnie's and Leo's were dwindling. There was one way to regain that power, one way to turn the tide to their favor, and, possibly, save the twins' bond.

The cost? Silence.

Pieces of Home 🌊

"Pieces of Home" is an original TMNT iteration where Donnie is the oldest, followed by his twin Raph, their middle sibling Mikey, the youngest turtle Leo, and their little sister April. The turtles were all once human and lived a happy, normal life until one day, a mysterious person cursed them with a green, magical liquid that burnt away their human bodies and mutated them to half turtles. Their father, Splinter, was mutated to a rat and his husband was never seen since. 12 years later, Leo ventures to the surface despite his oldest brother's wishes and finds secrets about his other father. Their journey begins when they discover who he was and when they receive gifts he left them.

I know there are already a lot of "the brothers are separated at a young age and raised by different people" AUs floating around, so this isn't especially original, but- I've yet to see one with this particular parent-child arrangement, so...

Here’s some rough concept art for what I’m calling the “Grown Apart AU” Which I've also been affectionately referring to as the "Everyone's a Disney Protagonist" AU for quite some time... you'll see why.

Here’s the gist: Basically, Splinter is only able to save Mikey and Leo from the lab explosion - Raph is immediately picked up by Huginn and Muninn and handed back over to Draxum; Donnie is lost mid-escape and later found by Big Mama's goons, who show up for Lou but bring Don back with them instead when Lou is nowhere to be found.

Details of each turtles’ upbringings (as well as how/when they meet April) below the cut:

RAPH

Draxum raised Raph to be everything he originally intended the turtles to be: a ruthless, obedient super soldier whose sole purpose in life is to protect the Yokai by eliminating the human threat. Draxum taught him to hate humankind and trained him up to be virtually undefeatable in battle. However...because Draxum isn't the most attentive parent, most of the caretaking for Raph was actually provided by Huginn and Muninn. And the two little well-meaning gargoyles - mostly unintentionally and outside of their master's knowledge - wound up nurturing a much softer and friendlier side to their supposedly bloodthirsty warrior-in-the-making. As a result, Raph has essentially been living a double-life under Draxum’s ownership; playing the part of a perfect soldier for his father/general, who he's determined not to disappoint, and only feeling free to be himself when he's alone (or with H&M.)

Raph has always known that there were supposed to be other mutants like himself but grew up believing that he's the only one who survived the experiment, making him the only one left in existence (until Draxum’s oozesquitos create more, that is). Even though he had H&M to keep him company, being an only child could still be pretty lonely sometimes, so Raph would often imagine what having brothers - other mutants like himself that he could have grown up alongside - would have been like.

Raph is the only one of the turtles that knows his human DNA comes from Lou Jitsu - just like Draxum, though, he has no idea that Splinter is actually Lou Jitsu.

DONNIE

Donnie had a posh and cushy upbringing in Big Mama's hotel - she raised him as her own son(unaware that he’s actually Lou’s)/apprentice and uses his technological talents to aid her multiple businesses: he supplies new weapons and battlegrounds for the Battle Nexus, as well as automated assistants and security for her hotel, and even pitches in with her more off-the-record dealings that last one being without Donnie’s knowledge. Big Mama's kept him pretty much wrapped around her little finger; praising him for his intelligence and usefulness whenever he does a good job or makes her nice things. When he hasn’t, however, she’s a less-than-affectionate mother. Donnie will do absolutely anything it takes to impress and earn approval from her.

Donnie is largely sheltered and knows very little about the world outside of the hotel - especially the human world, about which most of his knowledge comes from what he finds on the internet. He doesn't even know that he's a mutant, believing himself to be just some uncommon type of yokai, since that's all he knows. He’s not allowed to fraternize freely with the hotel guests and has a somewhat contentious relationship with Big Mama’s assistant, whom he’s always viewed as competition for her affection. The closest thing he's had to a friend is S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N, whom Donnie built to have someone to talk to (besides Big Mama's boring, no-nonsense henchmen).

Don finally met April when he was about 11 yrs old; he secretly sent one of his spy bots out to explore the human city and she intercepted it. The two have been best friends and stayed in-touch with each other online ever since - April being unaware that Donnie isn't human.

Donnie knows of Lou Jitsu purely because he was Big Mama’s favorite champion in the history of the Battle Nexus - he idolizes him, having watched recordings of many of his fights, and dreams of one day fighting in the Battle Nexus himself (if Big Mama would allow that).

Leo & Mikey

Leo and Mikey were still rescued by Lou/Splinter and brought up in the NY sewers. Splinter felt extremely guilty for not managing to save the other two baby turtles and, for the first few years following the incident, spent much of his time searching for them. Once Leo was old enough, Splinter would start leaving him and Mikey in the Lair while he searched. He eventually gave up his search, presuming them both dead or lost for good, and resigned to keeping the remaining two as safe as possible - teaching them how to defend themselves and warning them never to leave the sewers unless he was with them.

Leo and Mikey were inseparable as kids - they would do everything together, refusing to even sleep in separate rooms until they were too big to fit in one bed anymore. Leo took his job as Mikey's big brother very seriously and always tried his best to protect him, even when they were simply playing games with each other. As they got older, though, the two brothers began to drift apart - Leo started to feel a little smothered; craving more freedom to do what he wanted when he wanted, without the older sibling responsibilities hanging over him 24/7. And Mikey started feeling like he couldn't go/do anything without his brother's judgement or approval, resenting the idea that he needed constant protection.

Finally, when he was about 13, Leo secretly snuck out of the lair one night to check out the city by himself and get a little taste of independence. After that one trip, it quickly became a habit and he soon began making regular “secret” trips into the city.

Somewhere along the way, his innocent quests for freedom and fun grew into opportunities to stir up some trouble - Leo eventually met and became involved with a group of yokai teens with whom he would pull pranks and play jokes on the city's human occupants (harmless ones...usually. They just enjoy causing a little mischief.)

Mikey, having to figure out other ways to keep himself occupied since his brother is usually by himself or busy with his new friends, has picked up a multitude of different skills and hobbies, trying absolutely everything he can get his hands on. His main hobby is spray-painting, which he uses to spruce any wall he can find with his own personal touch. By the time he's 13, much of underground New York has been covered by his handiwork. Mikey eventually finds out about Leo’s secret outings and follows him when he leaves one night - the two end up meeting April, who's never seen mutants before (having only talked to Donnie online and not seen his face) and promptly freaks out before realizing they're not dangerous. The three soon become friends, too, and April starts making plans to introduce the boys to Donnie - knowing he could use more friends besides S.H.E.L.L.D.O.N. and herself.

The four brothers' fates finally collide with one another when an escapee from Draxum's lab - Mayhem - shows up out of the blue and catapults Mikey and Leo to the Hidden City, where they have an unexpected reunion with their eldest brother.

and here i present, Finding Home :D

This is a seperated au that focuses on Leo and how he grows as he learns what "home" is

Not all the parts are gonna be this long, but I wanted a solid start. I don't have an update schedule either, but feel free to ask questions :D

A bit of background if yall want it:

When Splinter drops Leo in the explosion, all he sees is the turtle disappear into smoke as the lab is actively collapsing. He assumed Leo died and left to make sure none of his other turtles got killed.

Draxum picked up Leo and look care of his wounds. Leo has scrapes on both sides of his shell from being stuck in the ground, along with a scar on his right arm. Draxum tried raising Leo for a few years on his own before realising it would benefit both of them if he had help, so he turned to Big Mama.

Bug Mama and her assisstant, Galileo, help raise Leo for years. Gali teaches Leo how to speak, though he still chirps quite often, especially when sad or startled.

A bit of Gali lore: Big Mama had orignally named her Leo when Draxum gave Gali to BM. Gali didn't like having that as her name, so Big Mama helped her find a new one and they settled on Galileo.

Splinter takes the boys to tour the hidden city so they're not caught off guard by mystic stuff and yokai like he was. That's when Mikey spots Leo on TV and Splinter recognizes the son he thought he lost immediatly :)

About the sword comment: I'll reveal more in the comic itself, but Leo and Draxum made a deal that if Leo could prove his strength by winning the Battle Nexus championship 5 times, he'd train Leo with the mystic sword.

How the Battle Nexus works in this au: there are always battles going on, but once during each season, a championship/tournament is held to name a champion.

This is technically Leo's 7th tournament, but 5th victory

Sorry if Im bothering you but now that we have seen Big Mamas reaction to the kids, how did Splinter and the other turtles react???

Honestly could see Donnie being the one who says he doesnt like them around but never turns down the offer to babysit xD

Sorry for the late response!! I’ve been drawing a lot

But honestly it was different for each kid Raph and Shino had!

Artemisia!

-Splinter was absolutely over the moon for his first grandchild. He definitely used the “out of the way, #1 grandpa coming through” whenever Artie was in the lair. Since she was definitely an easy baby, Splinter had no trouble holder her for naps, especially when watching his programs

-Leo was mostly amused that his brother basically copy and pasted himself, because Artie looked exactly like Raph. However whenever he got the chance and saw that no one was around he would tell the baby little stories about her familyBut then the moment someone walks in he holds the baby like a football

-Donnie was not sure how he was going to feel about a baby in the lair, mostly he was worried that his tech wouldn’t be allowed around them. But he was happy to find out how easy it was with Artie, happily placing her in a special play pin in his lab while working. Not to mention he would shamelessly steal those little baby cereal snacks that Shino packed, because those were delicious

-Mikey was excited the moment he found out he was gonna be an uncle. Doing all the research he could on babies and the like, he basically was the most prepared one for when Artie actually arrived. If Splinter wasn’t the one holding the baby… it was definitely Mikey.

Tsuruko

-Splinter was expecting another easy baby…. That was not the case. Cocoa was a screamer and had a resting bitch face with anyone who wasn’t her mom. Splinter still held her but he definitely needed earplugs just so he wouldn’t lose his hearing. He was more then happy to keep it at two grandkids from Raph after that.

- Leo also used earplugs with Cocoa, however with years of dealing with his dad’s snorting trained him for this. Leo definitely had the most fun messing with Cocoa because she was a very durable baby, he could just carry her by the back of the shirt and she would be fine

- Donnie…. Was actually able to calm Cocoa down. The baby absolutely adored her uncle and would cling to him the moment he held her. She even fell asleep in his loud laboratory, watching him with big eyes as he worked. Donnie rubbed it in everyone’s face how he was able to quiet the baby. But his favorite thing was that Cocoa actually listened to his scientific ramblings

-Mikey was scared of Cocoa… plain and simple… and he had good reason to be

Anansi

- Splinter was very scared on how the new baby would be… thankfully she was very calm… but she was a bitter… and she was born with sharp fangs… that Splinter learned about the hard way. He still loved her but wore gardening gloves while holding her

-Leo gave his brother shit for having three kids after saying he would only have two. However Leo still loved his niece, making her watch all the Jupiter Jim movies with him… because she was a baby and had no say in the matter. But she would watch them all intently tho

-Donnie found himself amused by the fact that the baby had powers that no one really figured out until they happened. So he made tech that could get the baby off the ceiling when she crawled up there and withstand her strong bite. If anything she became a test subject for him and Tsuruko’s projects

Donnie is the second eldest (though he and Leo are technically twins) and also the second tallest. He's a long boy, beanpole lad. Donnie spends most of his time inside because he has a really shitty immune system and gets sick really easily. He also wears the most clothes out of everyone for this same reason - he tends to get cold really easily in general.

He also doesn't have the best sight and wears very thick lenses. Yoshi found them for him when he was young, but nowadays he is able to get better care from yokai in the village, so his prescription is much more accurate.

Donnie does most of the housework and splits cooking with Mikey (he taught Mikey to cook, but Mikey is better at it). He also likes to take things apart and put them back together - if he could he would go to Tokyo to study, but for now he's stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Donnie knows about the war, but not because Raph told him. He begged Raph to let him take apart and fix an old radio, but Raph told him no. He didn't give any real reason. so Donnie went ahead and did it. And now he's privy to the goings-on of the human world :)
