Atrocities
In a world full of humans that consider themselves the superior beings, there is no question about who the beasts are. It is not animals that torture each other because they want to. The lion is not cruel for hunting a zebra to feed.
There is nothing on Earth capable of cruelty. Except humans.
🇵🇸
I think there’s no one unaware of what is happening in Gaza right now, in Palestine. What started in 1948.
I’ve been aware of the war going on in Palestine for years.
I find it baffling how so many are finding out about this only now, when the corpses of the dead are sky high, when so many are lost and can never go home now.
How dare the world make promises like ‘never again’? How dare the world make promises and once again stand still, as genocides take place? How dare you stand there and look away? How dare you stay quiet?
How can you stay quiet?
I find it horrifying and heartbreaking. I find it even more atrocious that the people doing this should be people who understand what genocide is like.
How can they go ahead and do what was done to them, to others? What about ‘treat others like you want to be treated’? Has that phrase never mattered at all?
I do not understand.
I do not understand.
I cannot understand.
I cannot condone.
Why? How? How can your heart and your mind and your conciousness condone this? How can people who suffered through genocide do this others? How can you possibly try to justify this?
Nothing justifies the killing of innocents. Nothing. Nothing justifies this violence and crimes against humanity. Nothing ever has, nothing ever will. Nothing justifies the atrocities of WW2, nothing justifies this either. I cried when as a child I learned about the Holocaust. I cry now with the people of Palestine, for them.
How can we let history repeat itself? Is the human species really that utterly hopeless? Do we not learn from the past?
Are we, quite literally, the only species on Earth that does not learn from its mistakes?
If a young bunny steps into a trap, it’ll come to know pain but survive. The next time it comes into contact with a hunter trap, it will jump aside.
Animals learn. Nature learns.
Why can’t humans? We are the one species that doesn’t follow the natural balance of the world. Do we even belong here? What kind of monsters are we, to repeat the same mistakes over and over and over and over?
Do not stay quiet. Use your voice, speak out for those that can’t.
Above all, remember empathy, remember compassion, remember love.
Drop aside hate and bias, prejudice and stereotypes, racism and xenophobia, revenge and resentment.
Nothing justifies this. Nothing. Look upon what’s happening with your own eyes and ask yourself:
Why can I live but they can’t?
We’re all human. Aren’t we?
There’s not a day that I don’t think about the genocide happening in Palestine. I mourn and grieve for the dead, with all those suffering.

The Importance of Speaking Out
We’re in a culture of denialism, therefore anything we say that’s true, makes us unpopular. But it is important to speak out, rather than ignore the truth, because it doesn’t help us when we don’t. The universe expects to only hear the truth.
Perhaps it also needs repeating that universal truths, don’t stop being universal truths, and facts don’t stop being facts just because we may choose to ignore those. For those of you who work with the universal truths, those truths will never change, or be open to the wrong interpretation.
For those who work on their own version of the truth, their truths are based on their own opinions, beliefs, and unshakeable conviction, which can be open to interpretation, but unless you’re working with the universal truths, those can be wrong and therefore can be a lie.
In a world where untruths (lies) settle and are used as ammunition it makes those who tell the truth stand out even more and that’s difficult. For those who are conservative with the truth, they may hate you for being honest, they may even leave you feeling defeated, battered and bruised, because it will be yet another kick in the teeth.
The truth is not everyone wants to hear the truth, or are prepared to work with the truth. If untruths fit their narrative better, they will settle on lies, rather than have to re-think or change their beliefs to fit in with what they know are untruths.
But the truth is the truth, the truth doesn’t stop being the truth because you choose not to accept it, or you’re not comfortable with it. We all have a right to speak out, to tell the truth, therefore it is wrong to have an opinion on those who do. I would rather sit and tell the truth. For those who continue to speak the truth, they are to be applauded.
Fitting in, is also another reason why you’re seeing politicians flocking in their droves to fit in with those who lie, rather than those who tell the truth. Speaking out and telling the truth takes courage and it shouldn’t have to. It should be the ‘norm.’
Speaking out can lead to being criticised and can make you unpopular. There are those who instead of defending those who are brave enough to speak the truth, become part of the flock who attack. How senseless and stupid that is.
Through my writing I work with the truth and although it may not make me popular, it does mean I can live with myself. Whether you choose to speak out or you don't, it is important to speak the universal truth.
The universe will always watch, it takes notes, it reacts badly, when you don’t tell the truth. It’s not great if you’re on the receiving end of its reaction. It’s easy to get caught out.
We can all change, we can all be the better person. Make yourself the person who has integrity, who is moral. A person who stands up for what is right, a person that simply put, tells the truth, tells it like it is.

I ended up going to bed before the scrum was done but I did see Tony get the second question about harassment. Going to put my reaction under a cut for TW.
I thought Tony's comments about the company's policy came from such a place of privilege. It's easy for the rich, male boss of the company to say his door is always open for anyone to come to him with concerns, or they can go to anyone in the disciplinary committee. In theory, sure it works. In reality, it doesn't matter how many times you assure a young rookie they'll be listened to and taken seriously when their accusation is against someone who's a powerful veteran, friends with the owner, with the ability to blacklist them from many promotions. In way too many cases there will be enough doubt and fear for them to decide to stay silent.
As a woman(and one who has been in the unfortunate position with a coworker), nothing Tony said reassured me. Nothing about it was handled well. Have a prepared statement at the beginning to address it because you are the owner of the company and it should be addressed. It shouldn't have been up to the journalists to have to ask. The first guy shouldn't have asked during Julia's time(he has since posted he regrets his timing but thought the presser vibe was Tony wasn't going to do solo time because it was different than all the other pressers, take that what you will). The WON journalist saying the accusations have agendas is so gross. Tony repeatedly saying AEW is the safest when a few months ago he said he feared for his life, someone needs to get this man media training so he stops rambling on forever.
It's just so unfortunate that something like this overshadows their last PPV of the year, and a lot of wrestlers big moments. I do understand that they're in a weird place because the accusation hasn't come directly from Kylie Rae, she's been dragged into this, but her reaction by tweeting a heart in response to a tweet accusing Jericho can't be ignored. Tony can call them "internet rumours" all he wants, but if people who know Jericho think he's not capable of doing something like this, where's all the supportive tweets? Where's the AEW locker room bad = talent rally of positivity tweets?
Trying to pass the responsibility of having to deal with it off by saying they haven't received any complaints is also ridiculous. It shouldn't have to come directly from a terrified wrestler to be taken seriously. Most of the Speaking Out Movement accusations weren't made directly to the companies but they were still investigated and people were fired. The only reason not to at least reach out about these accusations is if Tony already knows what happened and there's NDAs, but that would also mean something did happened and they covered it up.
It's going to be 2024 here in like less than 12 hours. Can we all just fucking learn that you are not entitled to someone else's body?

I'm no fan of colt and fuck him for calling people slurs but if that's the thing you're mad at him about then like. you're gonna need to unstan about 90% of the wrestlers in that locker room. punk has called people slurs eddie has called people slurs mox has called people slurs. like or dislike colt I don't care (and I also don't like him) but this specific grievance isn't it

Fire Chris Jericho
So I just read about the shit about Chris Jericho that came out today(or last night?). For those who don't know, here's the thread. Also if you still aren't convinced read this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then Hausman's comment on Jerichovid's Christmas morning blowup makes a lot of sense...
Tumblr media
Okay. FUCK CHRIS JERICHO. I fucking knew as soon as he was caught donating money to Trump, had Donny Dipshit Jr on his podcast and his wife being at the insurrection that he was a piece of shit. But I never fucking knew he was a fucking Weinstein level creep. No wonder this sack of fucking shit was defending Ric Flair, Sammy Guevara and Vince McMahon
Tony Khan had the audacity to speak on Vince McMahon’s sexual misconduct, while protecting Chris Jericho and forcing women to sign NDA’s to keep them quiet
Tony Khan and certain people within AEW knew, and nobody thought to speak up. Instead they remained quiet. I'm disgusted.
I mean fuck. This was his response to her no longer being with AEW. He sounded very guilty.
I shouldn't be fucking surprised that Jericho was protected. Because let's not fucking forget. President of Impact Wrestling Don Callis leaving under a cloud of sexual harassment rumours, just to end up in a top position in AEW tells you exactly all you need to know about the thought process of that company when it comes to safety of their female employees/talent.
Let's also not forget that Jay Lethal was implicated in #speakingout as well as Callis, but Tony hired him too and keeps featuring him in prominent spots, even if those spots constantly has him job.
Lets also not forget that AEW hired Will Ospreay after blackballing a wrestler who accused his friend of sexual misconduct.
AEW seems to be a hive of sex pests and enables said sex pests and I shouldn't fucking be surprised that Jerhico got away with it. AEW's priorities are never with their female talent, employees or friends. It's just a fucking boys club where they always get protected and the women are treated like shit.
Another major AEW event overshadowed by self-induced in-house drama.
Fuck Chris Jericho. Fuck his fans. Fuck his enablers. Everyone who knew about it and stayed quiet out of their own interests, media people, management, talent, fuck all of you. Tony Khan you have one decision to make and that is to fucking fire Chris Jericho, if you don't, you are fucking complicit.
And while we're at it, fuck Nick Hausman for not speaking up sooner and only using this as an opportunity as a Twitter gotcha.
Fuck Chris Jericho. Fuck Nick Hausman. Fuck Tony Khan. Fuck Vince McMahon. Fuck Ric Flair. Fuck anyone who knew about this and any similar situation did nothing. Always believe the victims, raise their voices, don’t silence them.
I hope Kylie Rae, and any other potential victims, have found it within themselves to heal and live comfortably.

listen. im not the guy for hot takes anymore. that was like three years ago when i didn't have wrestlefriends yet and was just like. the person with the light tube post and that one anon called me the the historian of speakingout. i am no longer the person to go to for serious takes and qs, unless it's specifically about something ive said or directly affects me. i am and idiot and ive started acting like it. if you're gonna send me qs that aren't fic or game related, just make them contextless and stupid. deal? this leads me to my next point.
IF I HAVE TO DELETE EVEN ONE MORE ASK ABOUT PUNK, I AM TURNING OFF ASKS ALL TOGETHER. IM SKIPPING THE ANON STEP, WERE JUST CLOSING THE FUCKING GATE. OKAY? I DONT LIKE HIM, I DONT CARE, MY ONLY TAKE IS THAT IM SO HAPPY TO NOT HAVE TO HEAR ABOUT HIM ANYMORE. STOP ASKING ME. I AM NO ONE. I AM NOT LOUD. PLEASE STOP.
