thinking about how my mom met her now-husband who was visiting from england because we decided to go to an exhibition at the local art center on a whim (we have never done this before or since) where his dad was one of the artists in the show displaying paintings of airplanes (does not particularly interest either of us)

Big Time Rush Forever Tour Cadence Bank Amphitheater Atlanta, Georgia July 24, 2022

Big Time Rush has been my favorite boy band since about 2010. I never missed a new episode of the show, I pre-ordered all three of their albums, and I was fortunate enough to be able to meet them twice at concerts in Birmingham, Alabama in 2012 and Southhaven, Mississippi in 2013. They are what really launched me into being a fangirl. I was heartbroken when the show ended and they broke up. This tour is the first time they’ve performed together in nine years, so Ari took me to the nearest show. We drove 150 miles each way and didn’t get home until after midnight. I only recently found out that they were back together, so I didn’t know if they would be performing any new music and was hoping they would do at least a few of their old songs. I was not disappointed. They sang all my favorites! I had the best time!

At one point, they went out into the crowd to sing and Logan climbed on top of one of the roofs along the side of the amphitheater and I think he was about to give the security guys a heart attack cause they were running along beside him and I think I saw them trying to wave to him to get down (it didn’t work).

Also, I noticed during their performance of Confetti Falling, their lighting turned rainbow colors. It wasn’t like that for any other song. One line in the song goes, “Your heart calling feels like confetti falling, and it’s a celebration, feels like a celebration...” and I just know the rainbow lights had to do with Pride. I feel like they could not have gotten away with that when they were still affiliated with Nickelodeon, so I’m glad they’re able to stretch their wings a little.
