For the WIP ask game, I am staring very intensely at 'Steve liking make-up fic' 👀

Ok, this one I've actually written about 500 words for so here's a little sneak peek :)

Original Steve Makeup Fic

The nervous feeling goes away slightly as his mom shifts over on the vanity stool. A smile appears on Steve’s face as he accepts the invitation. He climbs onto the stool next to her and shuffles to his knees. He can’t see anything below his shoulders in the mirror so he shuffles again, trying to gain some height. “Hi Momma.”

His mom catches his eye in the mirror, smiling at him. “Hi darling boy.”

Steve’s smile widens at the term of endearment. He loves when his mom calls him that. “What are you doing?”

“I’m putting on my makeup.”

He nods, his hands finding the edge of his t-shirt, rolling it between his fingers. Steve sits there, content to watch his mom and her makeup. There are small trays of squares, each with a separate color. They’re all so bright and different. Some are sparkly and shimmery. They remind Steve of paint and pencils and glitter glue. There’s so many options. His mom pats her small brush into one of the squares of color and brings the brush up to her face, moving it in small motions. Steve watches, eyes wide, as the color transfers from the brush to his mom’s face.

It’s beautiful. 

As he keeps staring, transfixed, Steve decides he wants to try makeup. Wants to put makeup on someone and have someone put makeup on him. His mom looks very pretty with it on. Steve wants to be pretty too. Just like his mom.

When your characters are cold what is their preferred hot beverage? Are your characters good hosts when they have guests over? Do they have siblings? If so, what is their relationship like with each sibling?

My characters would usually go for tea and coffee. And hm, all of my characters have unique ways in terms of guests, but the closest to the best one is Koda — he runs a teashop on his own and welcomes customers like old friends. Siblings? My first novel featured two cousins (but they were close as siblings and had gone through a lot, from death to their family issues) and the second one featured an adopted brotherly relationship (however they were forced to be separated when the elder one got kicked out for causing trouble when he was just only defending his younger bro)

Strange courtship gifts

The last thing anyone would expect is for the Joker to believe in the supernatural, but apparently Gotham was in luck, because the clown was about to make a deal with the King of all ghosts to revive his prized foe.

Said King was not happy about the request, nor did he care about the clown's feelings, but he knew it was a necessary evil. Or at least, that's what Clockwork told him; of course, Danny didn't intend to do anything for free.

The Joker got his wish, Bruce came back from the dead and Danny wondered what he should do with the clown's soul. With a shrug he decided to put it to the best possible use and wrapped it in a little bow before handing it over to Jason Todd.

Jason thought it was a joke, a cute guy giving him a gift out of nowhere and claiming that the frozen ball in his hand was the Joker's soul? Yeah, right.

However, John Constantine came through Gotham and it became obvious that it wasn't a joke and that the cute guy was more than just a regular guy. It also came with the feature that Bruce returned to the living, which made him strangely relieved.

And fuck, reckless or not, Jason needed to find the guy again and steal the air out of his lungs, because that weird ball was the best gift he'd ever been given in his life and it might as well be an engagement ring.
