Heya @poseidon-ror so here is a better explanation

Okay so it’s more in the writing than the whole fandom, and it’s not every writer. I mean you can use the argument ‘if you don’t like their content just block them’. Which i do.

It’s more that make Amphitrite a villain, which is okay in the story because apparently they need one. But the problem lies with when they actually write Poseidon cheating on her, and i know he does but it isn’t justified. Just because he cheats and she gets mad, which i doubt because looking into her character she is not that type of character, she is made to be someone bad. What is bull because i don’t think if your partner cheated on you you wouldn’t be mad. Like that shit is not justified in anyway.

And they portrayed her as a ‘abusive’ or ‘toxic’ person which is i guess okay for their story if needed. But they seem to justify wrong things simply because the ‘reader’ did it. I mean cheating on someone and not a good thing, and justifying it is even worse. It kind of made me dislike his character. Because apart from the funky and playboy he is in the mythology he is different when it comes to RoR. So the stories are even more toxic while Amphitrite is made to be the bad guy to make the reader shine more. I mean you don’t have to make one bad to make the other good. Which they also do with Persephone but not as often because Hades is nice.

I’m really sounding if i take it personally

I legit made this blog because i wanted to write things about Amphitrite and clear up that she isn’t a bad person or anything like that. But it was difficult to do that when you have almost no information, so i had to improvise a bit.
