Idk why when it comes to Glenn people forget about the generational trauma aspect of the podcast entirely. Don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to like him- but people act like he acts this way because he was just. Born a bad person. Chose to be that way. But for Henry or Ron, because they face a much more direct form of abuse it’s easy to spot- and the way it affected them is ironically more palatable for people.
Idk, people can’t stand the idea that trauma makes you a worse person sometimes. Sometimes you don’t get a fear of expressing anger, or people pleasing, or awkward and funny misinterpretations. Sometimes you just avoid being vulnerable or accountable and end up childish. Hell, we see this with the s2 dads sometimes too. If Sparrow ended up like this, it isn’t because his dad did everything right and he decided to fuck it all up. Shit happened!!! There’s always a cycle!!!

I know it's a Boomer complaint but like. So many things are just becoming garbage now. Metaphorical and physical garbage.
The internet filling with bots and AI programs swallowing and regurgitating and training off of each other's nonsense until search engines can't accurately answer a simple question.
Lower quality meat and produce shipping to grocery stores, coupled with more foodborne illnesses.
The rise of 'bin stores' where shoppers sift through mounds of returned, unwanted, and broken items in hopes of a rare gem.
Gentrification of thrifting and shopping for secondhand items, where gently worn items become "vintage" and are sold for like-new prices, leaving thrift stores with worse quality clothing.
Similarly, fast fashion getting faster with online retailers like Shein and Temu.
Planned obsolescence continuing, of course. More expensive technology that has a shorter lifespan made with lower quality materials.
People not even considering answering a phone call from an unfamiliar number because there's a 95% chance it's a robocall or scam.
So much noise and so much junk. Many different issues, many of them with the same root cause. I don't have a solution here I just need to express how TIRED I AM OF GARBAGE.

bruh ngl i see people complaining about ship wars in the yu yu fandom and i'm just like
damn
where? lol
everywhere i hang out is multishipping heaven, if that's your thing. i literally think i've only seen someone talk kinda-sorta-not-really-even-bad about my OTP once. just once. and it's like, the most popular pairing, so i find it very shocking that I don't ever see vocal shitty antis posting about it lol
mostly i've just seen people bitching about these alleged ship wars--granted, maybe it's not really worse than any other fandom, ergo there are ship wars. It's very easy to believe that there are toxic shitty fans when it comes to this stuff, i mean isn't there always? for whatever dumbass reason? I'm blessed to be a new fan and apparently sheltered from all the hateful shit.
idk dude. idk why people can't just like shit peacefully. if you hate what someone has written, drawn, or headcanoned...don't interact? bruh.
also people who hate shipping: that's cool and fine and your prerogative, now please leave me alone, I don't really care if you hate my shit, i'm just here to have fun, okay?
idk my point here is just, if you don't like something that someone else likes in this fandom. that's cool, that's fine. but go somewhere else that isn't filled with a variety of fans who like all kinds of ships and shit. we're all here to have fun, so if you're not interested in that, please see yourself out and find likeminded people
still searching for likeminded people to hate my NOTP with me in private of course

Kakashi, #2, 16, and 20!
Oh hell yeah my man Kakashi!!
2) Who they want to please the most.
I think the easy answer is the version of Minato he's built up in his head. Rin and Obito and Kushina and Sakumo too, of course, but I think Minato has a special little tier to himself. There's probably always some kind of self-imposed pressure, staying in ANBU after the Kyuubi attack, becoming a guardian figure to Naruto, taking up the Hokage mantle, to live up to his teacher's legacy and what he thinks he would've expected of him.
Gai's also a good option, but I think part of why Kakashi is so comfortable around him is because he doesn't feel like Gai can be disappointed by him, to a degree. He mostly just needs to be himself for Gai to be happy. If we're talking more on the headcanon side, I'd pick his grandkids. We get woefully little of interactions between them but I know in my heart he'd spoil and troll them in equal measures, as is his love language. Even if Boruto's an arrogant little prodigy like he and Sasuke were before him.
16) Their sexuality.
Aroace, EASY. My ace radar is never wrong.
20) Household chore they hate the most.
HMM my heart says dusting. When he was younger and active duty he spent a lot less time at home than he did on the field, so he's always come back to find a good layer or two of dust that needed tending to. Despite the clinical depression he seemed to never lose the habit of keeping his space meticulously clean, so it strikes me as something he'd eventually just plan around doing as soon as he got back from a mission.
But now he's older and retired and finds, to his dismay, things still accumulate dust alarmingly fast! Especially whenever his friends or his kids visit, or he gets stuck babysitting for one of them. Travesty! He's invented at least two jutsu to deal with this.

Well, the one thing that has never changed on Deviant Art is the amount of folks who insist on mansplaining me my own job and my own work to me. Every SINGLE time. It's like, I've probably been here longer than you, kid. Also, I'm not a newbie at this! Stop acting like I am!
I fondly remember the time a dude tried to tell me how to publish books... when I was 3 kickstarters in and funding a 4th. When I said "I've published before, stop telling me how" he got defensive "HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW" I dunno, look at my page for 30 seconds?? Why are you giving me advice when you know nothing about my situation?? Useless!!
Anyway, dA stan, you could not have made me more certain that I made the right decision to stop paying for the site with the PARAGRAPHS LONG defense of the site and telling me how my business should run and that I can "inherit" my webcomic to my heirs What?? the heck?
like I can't do that on any other site?? Jesus, this is why I don't mess with the art community there anymore, I'm tired of being treated like a high school bimbo who has never held a job in their life.
And it's been like this since the start. sdahlksdfgskdfgalf ANYWAY, done.

Sewerhell Sunday again
Uhhhh post-Ruin/Mimic encounter, Cassie becomes friends with all of Mimic's previous guards very quickly. This is especially the case in situations where they helped guide her and Roxy into defeating Mimic.
The other three guards were the original Roxy, Mangle and the first Foxy. The last time these three dealt with Mimic, it tore Mangle and Foxy's friendship apart. Foxy genuinely hates both of them for what happened and they hate him in return but they all agree that Cassie is more important.
Cassie doesn't blame any of them for what happened before or what happened to her. She's the most sympathetic human they've ever met. Roxy's original (now mostly known as Rockabella or Bella/Rocky for short) in particular was brought to tears within minutes of their first meeting, that's how good she is to them. She understands they struggle to get along and makes a point to hang out with all three of them.
In the setup where the manager fucks the security up and Sewerhell breaks loose, the three older guards end up with an interesting bond with Roxy too. These are the only three animatronics in existence that know the full extent of what she's had to deal with for years and unsurprisingly, that's something she's needed for a very long time. Mangle adopted her as a little sister almost immediately, Bella was a bit slower, offering support but also not really knowing what to do, and while Roxy knows that this Foxy hates her by association, she also has a sneaking suspicion he's taking a slow and gradual shine to her. He's threatened to kill her. She's completely unphased. He's never once even so much as poked her, never mind hurt her.
Honestly, he's got beef with a lot of Sewerhell guys, there's a lot of people telling both Roxy and Cassie to be careful around him. He doesn't really know what to do with these two. He wouldn't hurt Cassie, but he could hurt Roxy. He could! He swears he could! It would take nothing to beat the shit out of her! He could do it!
He's also a fucking liar! Who woulda thought?

ok for the character ask game, you already know I have Meneldir on the brain today, sooooo.... thoughts? 👀 (also if OCs are fair game, I would Love to hear more about Est :unlessranger:)
:D i'm always down to ramble about est lol
hm. meneldir's gonna go under a cut tho on account of before the spoilers i think
est:
one aspect about them i love: she is friend shaped <3 she is also allergic to chill most of the time
one aspect i wish more people understood about them: hmm. i don't really know honestly? the one thing i've really ever run into like that is 'oh, is she in love?' which. i can look at what i wrote for her and go 'yeah alright, that's a perfectly reasonable way to read that, but no, she's not In Love' but even that's like. i get it? it's perfectly rational? idk
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: she used to hang out with the lake-spirit of the long lake. she decided she really liked zhelruka food in the grey mountains. she's aroace & in a qpr. she really hates having her hair long (Feels Bad on the back of her neck) despite the prevailing elf attitudes around long hair in a lot of places. she spent a few centuries just kinda wandering; she was up and down the northern anduin a lot, and may have ended up farther east at some point too (i don't know all the details here yet). she is fully willing to use runecraft for stupid things despite how seriously people take it, and this has in fact been encouraged in her by a few people (talagan, but lowkey, and also probably gandalf 'aren't fireworks awesome?' the grey)
one character i love seeing them interact with: oh hm. it's very funny every time she talks to viznak, bc he'll just say things and she just goes '......sure! why not.' she makes a genuine effort to have Cook Opinions on his various swamp brews. she thinks the entire situation is very weird, but on a scale from ???? to Actively Trying To Kill Us, she's pretty much fine with it
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: you'd think i'd have more control over this one, considering she's my character, but! it's grimbold. she felt bad about how the aftermath of troubled dreams went, and after awhile she could look at her talk with him and go 'oh! yeah so he was doing as bad as i was after all that', and she always meant to talk to him about it, especially once everyone else was getting mad on her behalf over it, but it just never ended up happening. she still feels bad about that
also i wish she would tell me a little more about her relationship with her father, but she emphatically Does Not Want To
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: oh i guess i already had some of these. oh well. post-black book (and gundabad/return to carn dum? idk, i don't know when i'm gonna cut off her doing the epics), she starts doing some Actual Combat Training, bc she never really did any of that, and her primary weapon of Zap Them can only take her so far, especially when she's supposed to be on stealth missions lmao. anyway, she learns some dagger things from faeron. she does a little bit of archery with radanir, but it never really ends up being her Thing
meneldir:
one aspect about them i love: he wants! to help! he really really does! enough that he's willing to go back to people he has no reason to expect a warm welcome from!
one aspect i wish more people understood about them: hmmm... in world or out of world lol.
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: well! tossdir is still just. permanently attached lol. i think meneldir has picked up way more trivia about the history of cardolan from narndir than he admits. he likes spicy food but doesn't have a super high spice tolerance. i also think he would be a fan of barbecue (there is absolutely no reason for this one lol)
one character i love seeing them interact with: Meneldir squints at Bregoleth. 'Sometimes Elves have trouble marking the passage of the years. I mean no offence.' i think he and bregoleth should hang out more
one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: narndir!!
one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: there are some half-formed thoughts about who might have been in that house he was supposed to watch, and if halbarad might have been related to them and/or meneldir, and just how much of his insistence on trusting this rando adventurer and barely even looking at meneldir was personal vs just the result of having one of his worst weeks ever so far. i haven't worked all my thoughts on it out yet, but there is. soup

Trick or treat! (bnha)
"Trick or Treat!"
Nezu glanced up from his book to see three business course students standing in his office door way, large grins on their faces. Of course it'd be the Business Course that solved all his puzzles first and arrived at his door with the secret code.
Applauding Nezu grabbed a bowl of brightly colored, individually wrapped hard candies off his desk and walked over to the door, "Well done, amazing job you three! Here is a treat for your hard work."
He placed a candy in each student's out stretched hand, they all thanks him, and dismissed themselves back to their dorms.
Nezu hummed as he walked back to his desk and looked out the large windows over looking the school yard, where the majority of the students were currently wandering aimlessly in an impromptu hay maze the principal had put up for this little Halloween game on campus.
He felt a bit bad for putting his students through something he himself hated so strongly, but couldn't deny the satisfaction it brought him to be on the other side of such an experiment.
